Restaurant Dionysos in Berlin

Good restaurant with good food and service. The appetizer platter we ordered included a variety of dishes. The gyro we ordered was delicious and the portion size was OK. We would come again.

Everything here is just perfect! From the food to the staff! On warm days, the outdoor area is also very inviting. Keep it up and we'll be back!

The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. The food is delicious, and the moussaka in particular is always freshly prepared and the portions are very generous. We always enjoy coming back.

€100 for three children and two adults can be justified – if the quality is right. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. A small, lukewarm "masak" for €18, which had probably been in the fridge beforehand. Still water (0.75l) for €8, apple spritzer (0.4l) for €3 – those are exorbitant prices, even for Berlin. I know restaurants with fresher, healthier food and better value. I can't understand why this place has more than four stars. There's an urgent need for improvement in both quality and pricing.

There's plenty of room for improvement. We were disappointed. The food, especially the tzatziki, was very lightly seasoned, with hardly any salt. Garlic was barely noticeable; the freshness that yogurt brings was missing. My husband had a dish with chicken, feta, and spinach, which was unfortunately also completely unseasoned and very dry. My meal, on the other hand, was very good: gyros in a pan with Metaxa sauce. The other two dishes were also disappointing. The staff were friendly and attentive, but irritated if you don't want "medicine (ouzo)." Unfortunately, the table we were given was much too small for four adults, so we sent back half-eaten appetizers and salads because we simply didn't have room on the table. That's a shame. Unfortunately, this really nice restaurant is extremely noisy; it's almost impossible to have a conversation. It used to be different. We've known the restaurant for several years, but now the noise alone makes you feel like you're sitting in a cafeteria. Since it wasn't particularly warm, we couldn't go outside. The prices are no surprise to us; they're okay, and the portion sizes are okay, too. We won't be back.

Super friendly and fun staff. They're also very fond of children and provide art supplies to keep them busy. The food comes quickly and, as you'd expect from a Greek restaurant, is plentiful.

The restaurant is large and very comfortably furnished. Even though I'm not a big fan of lamb dishes, I ordered the lamb platter and with great surprise, I have to say that the meat was very, very tasty. A huge compliment to the chef, he knows his job. The staff was also very friendly. Everyone was well looked after and we were really full. The restaurant/staff gets a straight 10 out of 5 possible points from me. Very happy again. And by the way, as you know from a Greek, there was no lack of ouzo either ;-) Thank you very much, see you next time. Keep it up.

Today we had dinner at Dionysos again. Very good. The meat was perfectly cooked, not dry, juicy, flavorful, delicious. The side dishes were great, garlic potatoes had extra garlic on top, simply delicious. Thank you for the great food. Always happy.

Currently our absolute favorite Greek restaurant in Berlin. Definitely not an "Ouzo-Greek", i.e. not the kind where the food seems tasty primarily because it has already been filled beforehand. Very solid and in a nice atmosphere right at the park entrance. A popular go-to after work in the summer.

Yes, finally a good restaurant in the area again

We had a wonderful evening in the Dionysos restaurant. The waiters were very nice and attentive. The waiting time for food was very short! For us, the food could have been seasoned a little more intensely, but that's certainly a matter of taste. There was also salt and pepper to choose from. We can recommend it and will definitely come back :)

The food was ok, just the staff was a bit disorganized. My friends were already sitting at the table with drinks and I joined them and was immediately asked if I would like something to drink while I was taking off my jacket. I needed another moment and continued to undress when the next person came and asked me for a drink. While we were eating, 4 different waiters came and asked if everything was good with the food. Friendly, but a little too much.

Today we had another great evening. We felt comfortable. Everything was great!!!!!

This year we were once again at the start of the year with around 30 people at Dionysos for a cozy get-together and meal. Despite ordering a la card, everything went smoothly. As always, it was a pleasure with great food and very friendly service.

I cannot praise this restaurant enough! The food is absolutely magnificent. The meat is perfectly cooked, and as a big fan of lamb, I often visit restaurants around the world, but I have never had better-prepared lamb anywhere else. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the ambiance is cozy and pleasant. I dine here frequently and will continue to do so. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

We were there with 14 people, my colleague's gyros was gristly and my €16 Viennese-style pork schnitzel was unfortunately only a small, ready-made industrial schnitzel. So we can't recommend eating there. But the staff was very nice.

Super friendly and courteous service, BUT unfortunately the portions are no longer as good as before. Now there are new square dishes and the portions of the main courses are only half as big - a shame! The food was still tasty, but we weren't full this time...

I had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant with my girlfriend today and it was an overall positive experience. The restaurant offers an authentic, cozy atmosphere that fits perfectly with a Greek restaurant! The warm colors and modern decorations with Mediterranean elements make the restaurant seem much more interesting than usual Greek restaurants. The large terrace offers a lot of seats. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, the boss personally looked after the guests. We were warmly welcomed and the service was courteous without being intrusive. Our order was taken quickly and the food came in a reasonable time. The food was outstanding!! The starter was very varied and delicious. I had baked chicken breast with croquettes, beautifully presented, the meat was very tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned - delicious. The portion was very generous. The selection of dishes here is enormous and there is something for every taste. At the end I had the plate of dessert - simply brilliant, ice cream with hot chocolate cake and cream - irresistibly delicious. My conclusion: I can recommend the Dionysos restaurant to anyone who is looking for authentic Greek cuisine in a pleasant environment. I will definitely come back

The two of us had dinner this evening and the restaurant was understandably very busy. We're always happy to come back to you. The food is always fresh and delicious! The service is always very friendly. Here you feel welcome and valued as a guest. We cannot understand the isolated negative reviews, absolutely exaggerated nonsense. We always come back and can only recommend Dionysos. By the way, we think the “missing” olive on the side salad is reasonable when over 90% of it is not eaten anyway and ends up in the trash 😉 Keep it up and see you soon.

Dear Sir or Madam, we were there as a group yesterday and I wasn't entirely happy with my meal either. 30€ for a plate with 2 soft drinks (large and small). With the Greek salad in advance, I missed the obligatory black olive twice, which is actually always included. And the plate was and is "very clear" in terms of price/performance ratio, otherwise the food was ok. However, there was an abundance of ouzo

Unfortunately, it was a total failure. Moussakas tasted old and when I asked the waiter about it, he said he couldn't do anything. There is no customer service here. If you want to eat ready-made dishes, you are welcome to go here. Otherwise not recommended given the quality and expensive prices. Once and never again. The only thing that gets good reviews here is that they always spend a lot of money, otherwise nothing. Update: went back yesterday to give the restaurant another chance. However, again a complete failure, the food tasted old and the price performance was not right. The owner writes comments that make no sense and cannot accept criticism. For me it is the worst Greek in Berlin

We have been there many times with different friends and everyone was thrilled. The staff always friendly and accommodating. If it doesn't exist, everything that is possible is made possible. Price/performance is right. We'd love to come back.

They have different options from foods to drinks (pork. Lamb, beef etc ), also vegan. We got free shots from the super friendly, kind and welcoming staffs. Salad and bread are super delicious. Really like the bread. Chocolate cake with ice cream is surprising amazing. Must try :))))) Will definitely go again with friends.

Today I was there with 20 people from my biker group and we were all very satisfied. Food was very tasty, all orders were received together and the nice waiter was very attentive. When the weather is nice you can sit outside and there is also covered seating. We'll be back, thumbs up 👍

That was the last time. For 2 small plates of food and 2 beers sorry over 60 euros? Doesn't work at all. Regardless of tax or not, you get 10 kebabs and are full for 5 days. There is no longer any relationship between what is on the plate and the horrendous price. We had been going there for years. Not anymore. The restaurant was also completely empty! No wonder. They will probably close soon or increase the prices even more because no one comes anymore.

That evening I was the person sitting next to me at the table who gave such a bad rating here. You should be friendly on Mother's Day. In any case, the manager was friendly. He kindly pointed out to you that the table you sat at was reserved. He offered you another table. I always receive friendly service here and the food tastes good. Especially the homemade gyros and the Greek sushi.

On Mother's Day 2024 we were there around 1 p.m. When the weather was nice, it was very busy outside. We had an older lady with us who wanted to sit in the sun, so we looked for a somewhat sunny spot. Apparently there were only a few tables left. We walked specifically to a table. When we were almost already seated, the "supposed" boss came to us and said: "Not here"! The table was “supposedly” already RESERVED. I know personally that you place a card with “RESERVED” on the table. But no, this one wasn't like that. The "supposed" boss may not have agreed to the guest being able to choose their own seat. BECAUSE THIS ONE ALSO LEAVES THE MONEY THERE! I have never experienced such arrogant behavior from a restaurant. So we left! This behavior is outrageous. We won't eat there anymore! In this day and age you should be happy about every guest. I add to her answer: If you could remember, you would know that we have eaten at your place several times. If you can't cope with the crowd (over 300 guests), then you should consider changing. As I said, we have eaten at your place several times and were so rejected on Mother's Day. We ended up eating somewhere else and were able to choose our own place! As I said - customer is king! Just think about it and don't scare the guest away. I add to your answer: It's sad that the guest has to point out to you that the guest has already dined with you a few times. You are not open to criticism, that is what you should be in your position. The case on Mother's Day was very discriminatory for me. I've never experienced anything like this in a restaurant! Thanks to a dear colleague, we finally tried this restaurant. What can I say, just great. Great location with a great summer garden, friendly staff and very tasty food. I can only warmly recommend it. We're definitely going there again.
