It's great that there is a separate room for celebrating birthdays But the prices, like everywhere else, have become astronomical

I dont wanna talk about how the taste of foods was. Everything was quiet good, for Ebi Furai or Prawns (whatever it is) were good and so tender. BUT, I wanna talk about the service. I dont know what the problem she had, but when she served us -> no smiles, threw the napkin papers on the our table. That made us stunned, looked each other of us. And then next to our table was sat by locals. She served soo polite and full of smile on her face. I dont know that was one of racism behaviour or just normal in your restaurant. Maybe you should improve your crews.

My first visit on a Saturday evening with friends. All the ingredients were fresh and everything was lovingly prepared, and the food was constantly being refilled. I love sushi 🍣 and I wasn't disappointed. I put together a plate with fresh ingredients like salmon, squid, shrimp, oysters, beef, turkey, and shark, and it was cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious! Drinks arrived quickly, and even reordering was promptly brought to the table.

Unfortunately, I found it hard to understand the praise from other visitors. "Quantity over quality" - you can't have both. - Lots of flies in the restaurant, some of which were on the buffet (raw fish!) - Fruit flies in some places - Vegetarian spring rolls taste musty, as if old vegetables had been used in the process - Chokofontaine: a few pieces of fruit were already in such a bad condition that they were no longer edible (squashed grape, dried-out banana...) There were also several fruit flies here. - Hygiene was simply poor: the drinks menu was completely covered in "greasy fingerprint" prints, the menu holder also had sauce splashes, there were some food scraps on the floor under the tables in places, chairs and benches were partly very worn, toilets were dirty, mirrors were completely covered in splatters, the floor was so sticky in several places in the restaurant that it made a smacking noise when you walked on it. It's a little uncomfortable, knowing how delicate raw fish and meat actually are. We had one buffet and one set meal. The "Chinese noodles with seasonal vegetables" was quite good, but the vegetables were very small (3 pieces of broccoli, lots of onions, some bell peppers, and a few bean sprouts). Although the wok buffet offered a much wider selection. The price seems reasonable at first glance during the week. But everyone has to decide for themselves whether it's worth what they get.

The buffet has a very large and delicious selection. The only drawback is that the leather bench covers are a bit worn.

The quality and taste of the food have unfortunately declined considerably. I had Mongolian food fried twice, each time with a different sauce. The first had no taste, and the second had no taste and was extremely greasy. The price for two adults and two children (4 and 6) is now so high (€105), you could easily go out for a three-course meal in a nicer setting.

Not recommended! We (4 adults, 1 child/€140) have rarely had such a bad meal. Service took 25 minutes for our drinks. Half the dishes were empty, so there was little choice. The fresh fish for the fried dish smelled extremely fishy and was left uneaten. Relatively overpriced, and the value for money was very poor.

Cold Chinese food. Every single item served in the buffet was cold apart from the soup. The server also informed that you either have to pay two euros extra or buy a drink(4€) along the buffet as it’s mandatory. What kind of rule is that? Although the food selection was good with enough variety, the quality and taste of the food needs to improve. I can’t think of even one item on the buffet menu that was actually great and I would want to go back and eat next time. Also, these extra mandatory charges make no sense. Not worth the hype.

Hello, after reading some bad reviews here, I went to the Great Wook Restaurant this evening with my family. Thank goodness, I can only say. The buffet was plentiful, very well laid out, everything your heart could wish for. I can't even list everything that was offered to us. Everything was constantly being cleared from the tables, the service was friendly, and the drinks came quickly. We can only highly recommend the Great Wook. Thanks also to the nice waiter. We will definitely be back, Bruno Mariotti and family

The two of us were here on Sunday evening. Very bright and pleasantly decorated. The food at the buffet is good and regularly replenished, but otherwise nothing special and more like many other buffet restaurants. The ingredients for the Mongolian food look fresh and appealing. Unfortunately, the chef completely burned it, and it wasn't served at the same time; second meals arrived over 20 minutes apart. Unfortunately, you have to wait longer for drinks; the last one arrived almost at the same time as the bill. Service is very inattentive and not particularly friendly. All in all, we won't be back and, to be honest, we wouldn't recommend it either. There are far better buffet restaurants where you feel less rushed and more at ease.

Unfortunately, the sushi was relatively empty the entire time and was never refilled. It was a warm buffet, as you'd expect from an all-you-can-eat restaurant. Not Michelin-starred, but OK. The table was overflowing with empty plates; unfortunately, they only cleared them upon request. Drinks were also only refilled upon request.

The ambiance is nice, it's clean, and the staff are very polite and helpful. I'm looking forward to the delicious food. However, something happened today that shocked me. The lady at the drinks counter [presumably preparing the drinks] served herself at the buffet with her hands. Overall, she gave a very robust and unfriendly impression and didn't fit in at all in this restaurant. I told a service employee what had happened, and she spoke to her colleague about it...but she acted like she didn't know anything!

+ Not recommended + I was there around 7 p.m. during the week, and three-quarters of the buffet was constantly empty... The waitress was completely overwhelmed, and unfortunately, she was also the only one responsible for the entire dining area. Therefore, no plates were cleared. Sushi was empty at all times and wasn't refilled even upon request. I was expecting more after reading the good reviews here.

The food was delicious, warm, crispy, very tasty. Wide choice. A well-kept and tidy restaurant. There were few employees, the plates piled up, but that was not disturbing. There was a child who was playing a game which unfortunately affected the whole restaurant. Hence the 3 stars for the atmosphere. Definitely recommended to eat for a good price.

A really delicious buffet, but we arrived 2.5 hours before closing time, and not everything was refilled, only upon request. The ambiance was nothing special, but adequate. I would go there again.

So far, I've been satisfied with my takeaway orders. Unfortunately, today I received food from the previous evening. The quality didn't match my previous experience.

Overall, the food seemed as if it had been left over from the day before and simply reheated, and this was the case with all the dishes. The so-called "fresh counter" is unfortunately misnamed: Some of the meat already had a bluish tinge. Foods freshly sent for grilling come back severely charred and completely overcooked. Particularly worrying: In the refrigerator where the ice cream is stored, mold was visible on the sides. Overall, a very disappointing and unhygienic experience, one that I cannot recommend to anyone.

Great food, unfortunately very slow service We were there as a family on the evening of Pentecost Sunday. The food was truly excellent, and we also really enjoyed the selection. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing: My drink was already halfway through the meal, so I ordered a new one – but it took a long time. Meanwhile, two waitresses a few tables away were quietly chatting away, oblivious to the customers. My drink didn't arrive until we had already finished our meals – and only after we actively asked for it. This was annoying, as I couldn't really enjoy my meal while I was thirsty. Clearing up didn't go well either. We weren't sure what to do with the used plates, so we placed them at the end of the table to be cleared away, but they simply weren't. In the end, we took them to the counter ourselves. Overall, I hope the service improves, as the food and the selection are truly recommendable.

Today I went out to dinner with my family, and we're celebrating a party. Unfortunately, what I expected from such an upscale restaurant wasn't the case. The employee's behavior was extremely bad; he spoke to me in a high-pitched and inappropriate manner. It felt like he was offering us the food as a handout. He spoke in a disrespectful manner, and in front of my younger siblings. It was a bad experience, and I will definitely not be coming back.😏😏

A bit messy, not particularly tasty. And too few staff. Soup was lukewarm. Disappointing. Took a very long time for the chef (one person for the entire restaurant) to prepare the meal. Then took a very long time for the few staff to bring the plates to the table. So then the food was lukewarm. And food in containers was quickly gone and it took far too long for containers to be refilled. So all in all not a very positive experience.

I've been to Great Wok several times now and have been impressed every time. The buffet is plentiful, fresh, and very varied – the Mongolian BBQ is a real treat! You choose the ingredients yourself, hand them over, and they are freshly prepared right in front of you. Vegetarians are also catered for here. The staff is always friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. The tables are clean, and the restaurant feels well-kept and spacious. The value for money is absolutely spot on – you get a lot for your money. An absolute insider tip in Trier for lovers of Asian cuisine. I'll definitely be back!

We were in this restaurant on Sunday, there were a lot of people, almost all the tables were occupied. There was a large selection of dishes, it was impossible to stay hungry. Delicious, everything is fresh. There is meat, fish, seafood, sushi, and dessert. For two we paid 70€ (2 buffets +4 drinks). We were very pleased with the buffet. Be sure to go to this restaurant in Trier if you want to eat for the whole day 👍🏽

We went to the buffet at Great Wok on Sunday evening and were completely thrilled! The selection was huge and fresh - from classic sushi with salmon and avocado to freshly prepared seafood with vegetables to crispy spring rolls, dim sum and grilled meat. We found the live cooking station particularly positive, where you could put together your favorite ingredients individually. The quality of the food was consistently very good, everything tasted freshly prepared and aromatic. The sushi was also beautifully prepared and delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere relaxed and clean. Great value for money – we’ll definitely be back!

The restaurant makes a solid first impression, but unfortunately there is room for improvement when it comes to food. The selection at the buffet is large, but a lot of it tastes very similar and sometimes a bit bland. The service was friendly, but not particularly attentive - you had to draw attention to yourself more often. Overall, not a failure, but not a highlight either. Okay for a no-fuss evening out, but not a place I really need to go back to.

Since the beginning, I have enjoyed eating there with friends and family. Although there is a lot on offer, everything tastes very, very marginal. What I know as Chinese food tastes far better. In terms of taste, everything leaves a lot to be desired, the specific spices are simply missing. The ambience has now become that of a train station and transit level. But apparently the quantity makes it so that quality is less important.

Raw food that is then cooked by a chef is terrible. It is impossible to eat, it is saturated with the taste of long-used oil, the sauces are almost undetectable. The seafood looks spoiled. The food, which is already ready-made, is more or less normal, but not worth the money.

Goedkoop en dat is wel duidelijk. Kant en klaar gerechten zijn koud. Helft van de gerechten waren op als ook de toetjes en dat al om 20:00 uur in de avond op zaterdag. Bediening laat erg lang op zich wachten. We zijn de drankjes zelf maar gaan halen bij de bar. Er zit ook heel veel vetsin in het eten allemaal rode oortjes. Tja raad ik dit aan? Als je niet veel geld hebt misschien. Voor mij is het geen aanrader.

Super tasty and great selection! Lunch and evening

Buffet ist ja teilweise so eine Sache, hier allerdings nichts zu beanstanden. Gute Auswahl, die auch recht regelmäßig aufgefüllt wurde. Waren zur Mittagszeit bei mittlerem Betrieb am Wochenende da und es verlief alles reibungslos und schnell. Wer chinesisch vom Buffet mag, wird hier auf seine Kosten kommen. Von Preis/Leistung her ebenfalls zu empfehlen.

Reserved a table for 4 people on New Year's Eve today and was totally overbooked. We waited in a queue of people who were in a very bad mood and then after a while we went to the competition. A little tip next time, don't just accept reservations and not be able to guarantee them. It's a shame we thought it would be a nice evening at the great wok, but it turned out to be a great evening at the other Chinese restaurant.

Buffet meal for 8 people on Christmas Day at 6 p.m. The ready-made dishes from the buffet were very good and always plentiful. However, the food prepared at the grill buffet was disappointing. The cook also has to check the seasoning. At some point our plates were no longer cleared, which was really annoying. The toilets weren't in really good condition either. I found the price of the buffet too high for this lack of service.

The store is too crowded. The buffet area is too small. You have to wait too long in line to get to the buffet. If I get noodles, they are cold before I get to the fried things.

The food tastes like it has been prepared for three days! The buffet was very limited and poor. The service was very unpleasant! Never again.

For 25 euros per person you shouldn't expect much in terms of cuisine, we thought, and we didn't. We were pleasantly surprised by a spacious and busy Asian restaurant, with a wide choice of food at the buffet. Definitely worth an overall 3 stars (1 star is really nonsense). We didn't think the wok was very special, but the sushi was okay (we think it had already been made earlier in the day and kept in the refrigerator) and also the containers/bowls with various Chinese food were good. Assorted fruit and ice cream for dessert. Unfortunately the chocolate fountain was defective. We wouldn't go back there again, but it was quite OK for once, also suitable for children. Friendly Chinese businesswoman.

I've never eaten so badly! We had to end our visit early and you paid over €60 for that. The staff didn't even respond to the complaint. We will avoid this place... If you want good food, you'd better choose another restaurant... it's a shame

Rating for Great Wok, Trier I recently had the opportunity to visit Great Wok in Trier and unfortunately I was very disappointed with my meal. The selection of Asian dishes is varied, but the quality left a lot to be desired. Overall, the food I ordered was very dry and didn't taste fresh. In particular, the fruit on the side was not fresh and had a strange taste, which greatly detracted from the overall experience. I was hoping for more from the preparation and flavors. The atmosphere in the restaurant is modern and inviting, which is a positive thing. The staff was friendly, but the wait times were a little long, which wasn't ideal. Another downside is the parking situation in the area, as it can sometimes be difficult to find a space, especially on busy days. Overall, I can't really recommend Great Wok as I was disappointed with the quality of the food. I hope they improve their standards in the future before I come back.

Very good place to go to with friends or family. Good food & polite servers. Lunch time seems to be relaxed, dinner/evening a bit more crowded. Lunch buffet is cheaper & limited in comparison to the evening buffet as most places do. Only a single negative comment from my last time: What I saw wasn't Fried Rice but only seemed to be plain cooked rice & if you tried to find more you could find 1 or 2 peas.

We came in around 8:00 p.m., the buffet was open until 10:00 p.m., so we were told we could sit wherever we wanted, we chose a table, I was still sitting down, my girlfriend was already sitting, then it was already asked what we would like to drink. In the stress we quickly chose something and then we got up and helped ourselves to the buffet. I had some soup and then moved on to the main course. Shortly after 9 p.m. we finished the main course and got up again to go to the dessert buffet. I hadn't yet passed our table and the waitress was already there with the card machine and wanted to collect €65. I asked her if the opening times were wrong. She said: Yes, but her colleague said we would want to pay. I said that we didn't call anyone. I then took dessert and the waitress sat at a table in the room and watched us the whole time. It became such an uncomfortable atmosphere and we felt like every step of the way was being watched as if it were a prison restaurant and the waiters were prison guards. Well, we didn't want to cause them any trouble and didn't order anything else to drink, but went straight to the checkout at around 9:30 p.m. to pay. The waitress then got up from her seat and rushed to the cash register with her card machine. The 65 that she had typed in before was still there. We paid and fled outside and finally felt freedom again.

The location is good, the restaurant is clean, the condition is friendly and attentive. Like an all-inclusive vacation. The food is so-so, nothing special, grilled food (meat or fish) is too salty and served with the taste of fried garlic. The buffet in the evening currently costs €25. Drinks are not cheap, otherwise ok.

Were disappointed. For the price, everything always has to be filled up as quickly as possible. Unfortunately it wasn't like that.

I haven't been a fan of China until now and have had a lot of bad experiences. But this restaurant convinced me and I'll be going there again soon.

Vanuit de camping speciaal voor de sushi naar dit restaurant gereden. We waren daar 4 uur voor sluitingstijd en alle sushi was op en werd niet meer aangevuld. Rest van het eten niets bijzonders. Restaurant kijkt wel net en bediening is prima, maar om het eten hoef je niet te gaan. Ik ken veel betere restaurants.

The name “Great” wok doesn’t mean it here! The three of us came here for dinner at 8 p.m. during the week. When we arrived there was no more sushi/maki. I was hoping that it would be refilled, after all the restaurant is still open for 3 hours. But none. The freshly prepared salmon tasted bitter, was burnt and the sauce was lumpy. Several main courses looked rather unappetizing or were cold. By the time we got to dessert, this buffet was also empty, except for the ice cream (and it was only 9pm). When I asked if something would be refilled, there was a shrug of the shoulders and ready-made waffles were brought outside. The service was also subpar, we were only asked for drinks at the beginning. The atmosphere is generally very nice, but they don't care much about cleanliness. The toilets were dirty and even full of vomit. In summary: I will definitely never eat anything here again and I absolutely cannot recommend the Great Wok!

Very tasty, lots of choice, very nice atmosphere.

Since our daughter is still quite small, we were there shortly after the store opened. I took what was actually fresh salmon from the sushi buffet. When I tasted how sour the salmon was, I told the waitress. He left and I could see that they were removing the fish from the buffet. Nobody came up to us and informed us or thanked us for the tip. Nobody came and apologized to us or anything like that. In principle, I don't ask for anything to be reduced in price, but in the event of a breakdown like this, I expect an apology. I lost my appetite due to my anger at the behavior of the staff and I can't and won't go to the Great Wok again.

A nice cozy restaurant. The conditions are very nice, polite and not intrusive. The food is neatly prepared, the pots are never empty and the food is very tasty. The evening buffet for just under 26 euros is acceptable. I can recommend Great-Wok with a clear conscience.

Very tasty food and friendly staff. The restaurant works according to the principle of "buffet table". Several zones with different food. Sushi, vegetables, raw food, seafood, fish, meat and vegetables, which you can put on a plate and attach a table number by choosing one of many sauces. Within 10-15 minutes, they bring you a ready-made dish. There is a separate area with ready-made hot food - fish, poultry, meat, baked and stewed vegetables, as well as many different foods in batter. There is also an area with sweets, ice cream and fruit. You can eat as much as you want. But you have to take a little at a time, at least ten times, because it is considered a stupid tone to leave food on the plates. Drinks include beer, cola, water. The average bill per person is around €30. I really liked. I can definitely recommend this restaurant! Thanks to the owners of the institution and its staff.❤️

The quality of the sushi is worse than packaged food from the supermarket... Fish and meat for the grill are often empty. The finished dishes are okay. The fruit for dessert was very good.
