Everything was excellent, except for the ambiance, which was one star less, as it was very loud on a Friday evening when the restaurant was packed. The ambiance itself is incredibly nice.

It was a great evening, quite crowded, but the team had everything under control, even with a smile. The seating area in the annex was heated! And a great alternative to sitting inside!

I love being there. It's a pleasure every time!

Very friendly service, all guests are addressed informally. The food is very varied, well-seasoned, and delicious. However, I find the prices a bit high.

During our trip to Alsace, we stopped in Trier and ended up at this truly lovely restaurant. The food was excellent. For starters, we had the antipasti platter for two, and for the main course, we both had the cévice. Lovely ambiance, delicious food, and fair prices. The house wine recommendation was so well received that we immediately ordered a couple of bottles. Highly recommended!

It's super funny when you and your wife in a wheelchair have to walk across half of Trier over the Roman Bridge to get to the much-publicized wine festival, only to find you can't get onto the grounds from the riverside path. The ultimate rip-off!

Three of us ate there. The food was truly outstanding, highly recommended, especially for vegetarians. For me, it was the best mezze I've had in Germany. The service was very attentive and friendly, despite the fact that the restaurant was almost fully booked. Highly recommended!

The place can only be recommended with reservations: The room facing the street was far too noisy, especially on Sunday evenings/nights, and it was too loud despite the old windows being closed. Free parking in front of the hotel. The hotel was older but clean. The restaurant was closed on Sundays and Mondays, so only takeaway drinks were available. Breakfast was simple, but everything was available. The breakfast lady was too cold and taciturn. Our room 14 on the first floor: the toilet/bathroom unfortunately had an unpleasant odor; the toilet drain was probably leaking.

We were invited there for a birthday party. Herrlich Ehrlich was completely unknown to me until then. The party took place outside in a cozy atmosphere. A champagne reception with canapés was served to start the meal. Starters were brought to the table, consisting of various oriental dishes. The main course was served buffet-style, see pictures. The meat was incredibly delicious 🤤. There were three different delicacies for dessert. I can only recommend it to everyone. I've been here countless times, so I'm always adding new pictures!

Unfortunately, we weren't convinced. We spontaneously dropped in for drinks shortly after opening on a Saturday afternoon. We were greeted with the words: "You just want a drink..." If that's not what you want, you can and should communicate that right away rather than reacting in this way, which is very irritating for guests. When we were offered a seat at the Mosel tables (how are we supposed to know which ones are the Mosel tables?) and were given a quick look at the menu, we decided to order the appetizer selection. This was accepted with almost no reaction. If a spontaneous change of mind (at the Mosel tables) isn't desired, that can also be communicated. Without asking, we were then served the larger appetizer platter, which tasted excellent. Unfortunately, we (unlike other tables) weren't informed about the need for extra bread, which wasn't surprising given the service. We're giving it three stars for the ambiance and the appetizer, but we probably won't be coming back. What a shame!

Each bite showcased the pure, authentic flavors and high-quality ingredients, truly a treat for the palate. For our main courses, I opted for the 'CousCous-Bowl mit Falafel,' while my husband enjoyed the 'Offener Kafta-Burger.' Both were exceptionally tasty. The Kafta-Burger was masterfully spiced and thoughtfully combined. We felt very comfortable. The menu is small but varied. The dishes are beautifully prepared with a variety of harmonious spices. The service is friendly and attentive; you can tell they work together as a team. We sat inside once, outside once, and found the ambiance very pleasant.

I haven't been able to reach this restaurant by phone for three days. What a disgrace!! There was no response to the answering machine message either. Apparently, the restaurant industry isn't doing so badly after all.

Hi, we had a nice evening in this location. The food was good and the service was friendly. The only thing that bothered us was the high level of noise that the tables are so close together that you can hardly walk between them and hear every word from the next table. I don't think that's that great given the price range. Great for an evening with friends, A little too loud for a cozy get-together.

Unfortunately, the impression we got on our last visits has been confirmed again. The service in particular is really not attentive. When the glasses are empty, no one comes to the table. The operation in the room is difficult to respond to. Several drinks were forgotten. The food tasted good but ingredients were missing. I had the prawns with tagliatelle. These should come with cherry tomatoes and baby spinach. Neither was there. When I asked the waiter if everything was OK, I asked him. He said he would let the kitchen know. After that the issue was probably settled. It's a real shame because I really like the food in general. Given the prices and if I want to experience a relaxing evening, a visit is out of the question for me in the future.

We were registered with a group of 13 people to end the evening after a wedding there. Unfortunately, only 10 of the 13 announced guests showed up, but that wasn't a problem since the "superfluous" table hadn't been added yet and was given away twice in our presence. If I had known this a little earlier, I would have let the restaurant know. Vegetarian starter platters were agreed upon, and according to the email, main courses “can” be ordered afterwards. While the starters trickled in one by one - which was absolutely great - a meat dish was also served. That was discussed differently. Unfortunately, the owner also harassed the bride and groom several times (!) in a very unfriendly manner during the evening that he would charge for 13 main courses because we had ordered far too few. This is neither legally tenable in any way, nor is it appropriate treatment of customers on such a day. And unfortunately that really ruined our mood. He can't complain about poor sales either, as all the guests ordered extensively from the cocktail menu. A little tip among restaurateurs: If you expect all guests to order main courses, you should a) communicate this clearly in advance and b) perhaps also reduce the number of starters. The food was good, the shop was nice, the service was nice and friendly - but unfortunately the owner's demeanor was completely impossible.

Super delicious food, a changing menu, and a very nice atmosphere. I've loved Herrlich Ehrlich for many years and am happy to recommend it, but I find the now significantly increased prices a real shame. I find a starter for €15-20 and a main course for €20-30 a bit too much. Especially since the portions could definitely be larger. "Just" a main course doesn't fill me up. That's a shame. The food is still extremely good quality, and the place is always very busy. Reservations are highly recommended! I still really enjoy going to Herrlich Ehrlich, but only once a year.

We went to a family birthday party with 25 people at the Herrlich Ehrlich. Wonderful food - we actually relied completely on the boss when making our selection in advance - both starters and the main courses were, as usual, absolutely fantastic. The food was excellent! The staff was very friendly even though the restaurant was fully booked. Unfortunately it is very tight in the restaurant.

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was disappointing and I cannot recommend it. Even the first impression wasn't particularly inviting. The boss himself didn't seem particularly well-groomed - an appearance that you wouldn't expect in an upscale restaurant. The service was extremely inattentive; Our starter was okay, but the main course took a whole hour and a half to arrive. Meanwhile, guests who arrived after us were already being served their dessert. When the food finally came, it was way too salty. We also asked for a spoon for the tagliatelle, but the waiter forgot it and it was only after 10 minutes that the boss personally brought it. Overall, the entire team seemed completely disorganized - no one really seemed to have a plan. In addition, the cleanliness could be improved. The sinks in the toilets in particular were very dirty, which further reinforced the overall negative impression. Unfortunately it wasn't a pleasant experience for me and I won't be coming back.

As always, I was very satisfied at Herrlich Ehrlich! I would love to see more vegetarian options on the menu.

The tables are very close together, and the bar-like noise and loud music make it difficult to have a conversation. The food is perfect both visually and taste-wise, but not completely prohibitively expensive.

There were three of us eating here and we all chose different dishes - all 10 out of 10. The drinks were also 10/10, especially the Tokio Tower, Espresso Martini and 1 hour before school.

Very friendly team in a very pleasant atmosphere. The waiters are very friendly in answering questions about the menu and beyond. For example, when looking for a non-alcoholic cocktail, they suggested their own ideas that were not on the menu. The drinks and food are of very good quality. The room is small and the tables are close together, which I don't think is uncomfortable, but it can be a bit noisy when full. All in all, a special restaurant that is highly recommended to visit.

As always, great food, very well seasoned. Cocktails were well mixed. Service was attentive, not intrusive and very friendly. We would be happy to come back. We can only recommend you.

Der Laden liegt ein wenig versteckt hinter einem Gebäude an der Aachener Straße. Direkter Moselblick. Die Bedienung ist äußerst freundlich aber es wird sehr laut wenn der Laden voll ist. Die Tische sind sehr eng aneinandergestellt, das ist sehr schade. Das Essen schmeckt gut, die Karte ist nicht sehr groß, dafür gibt es saisonale Abwechslung sowie viele hausgemachte Cocktails. Vorspeise mit Feldsalat und Humus finde ich Preis-Leisungs-mäßig zu teuer. WC ist sehr sauber und geräumig, inkl. Wickeltisch und Accessoires wie Deo und Co.

Regularly changing menu with excellently prepared and exciting dishes. However, you should take the charmingly bumpy and relatively loud atmosphere with (deservedly) high crowds into account when considering your expectations, especially in winter. Anyone in Trier looking for an interesting location for a gourmet evening with friends will definitely be happy here.

Nice ambience, good food. Very nice white wines. Unfortunately only two types of red wines on offer, Spanish. It would be nice if there was a larger selection of regional red wines in this area.

Super nice staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Especially the starter with the beetroot and the dessert were very, very tasty!! There is a vegan curry and several starters, but no vegan dessert. Gladly again.
