Sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit einem schönen Biergarten. Wir haben hervorragend gegessen und ein leckeres, erfrischendes Bier genossen. Toller Service, gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Wir waren an einem regnerischen Sonntagabend im Mai dort und haben früh gegessen; trotzdem war das Restaurant schnell voll. Hier kann man sich auf altmodische Art satt essen, mit einfachen, aber sehr schmackhaften Gerichten. Freundlicher Service.

Nach meiner Ankunft am Flughafen Weeze und vor meinem Rückflug in die Niederlande suchte ich nach einer günstigen Möglichkeit, mich zu stärken und warm zu essen. Ich landete in Kevelaer und in diesem Restaurant. Es wäre eine gute Wahl gewesen, wenn wir nicht so viel Glück gehabt hätten (es war Sonntagnachmittag): Zu solchen Zeiten ist es ratsam, vorher anzurufen oder zu reservieren. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Das Essen war zwar nicht herausragend, aber gut. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Speisekartenfotos in den Bewertungen zwar vorhanden sind, aber größtenteils veraltet sind; die Preise sind es natürlich auch.

Wir hatten ein leckeres und gutes Essen. Der Service war freundlich. Die hausgemachte Gulaschsuppe war köstlich. Dazu gab es einen leckeren Bitburger! Sehr empfehlenswert.

Sehr aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Essen wurde schnell serviert und war lecker. Die Preise sind angemessen und man kann hier sehr gut und angenehm Speisen. Weiter so!!

Ein großartiges Restaurant mit köstlichen Gerichten und freundlichem, zuvorkommendem und schnellem Service.

Ein Restaurant mit Herz und einer Mischung aus bodenständiger, sehr leckerer Hausmannskost und moderner Küche. Jeder kann hier etwas Schmackhaftes finden! Mein Mann ist Vegetarier und geht auch gerne in dieses Restaurant. Man muss nicht auf seine Getränke warten und wird höflich behandelt. Wir kommen immer gerne! ☺️ Besonders hervorheben muss man noch, dass das Haus ein Ausbildungsbetrieb ist. Auch der idyllische, kleine Biergarten hinter dem Haus ist bei schönem Wetter reizvoll.

Der Zufall… Angelockt durch „heute kocht unser Azubi…“ wollten wir doch mal schauen wie gülden der Schwan ist. Der Service ist durch die Bank schnell, freundlich und vor allem sehr professionell - das schließt den aufmerksamen Auszubildenden ausdrücklich mit ein. Der erste Gang war ein Waldorfsalat mit Ziegenfrischkäse Crosstino. Wenn man bedenkt dass ich weder Ziehenkäse mag, noch ein Freund des Waldorfsalates bin, war das hier richtig gut. Die gefüllte Hühnchenbrust war ok und das Dessert „erheiternd“ (Insider - sauer macht lustig) Das Interieur ist, wie soll ich sagen - mit bürgerlich gut beschrieben. Zur Ausgangsfrage ob der Schwan gülden ist - na, er glänzt schon ganz schön. 👍👌 Alles in allem werden wir das Lokal gerne nochmal bei eine Radtour im Sommer aufsuchen.

Nach einem Arztbesuch sind wir dort eingekehrt. Das Mittagessen dort war klasse und auch der Service freundlich und nett. Das Ambiente war mir ein wenig altbacken, aber vielleicht auch passend zum Wallfahrtsort Kevelaer. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Einfach nur Klasse. Wir gehen gerne dort essen. Das Team ist eingespielt und das Essen seit Jahrzehnten in gleichbleibend super Qualität. Wenn dann noch unser Lieblingstisch für uns frei ist, ist der Abend perfekt. DANKE!

Ein wunderschönes Restaurant für Familien. Sehr kinderfreundlich, ideal für unsere Familie mit drei kleinen Kindern. Wir haben köstlich gegessen, es gab eine große Auswahl an Kindergerichten auf der Speisekarte, der Service war freundlich und der Tisch wunderschön gedeckt. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Excellent restaurant, classic German and also modern vegetarian. On a Tuesday evening we had a great meal in this neatly decorated restaurant, with excellent service. We had chosen this restaurant because the beef roulade is on the menu as a classic, a dish that should not be missed when visiting Germany. The choice of this restaurant turned out to be excellent. A delicious roulade and also a tasty vegetarian dish with sweet potato for my partner. In summary, a restaurant to recommend not only for a classic dish, but also for dishes from the modern kitchen.

Update: We ate at the Golden Swan again this year and were satisfied, as always. A big compliment to the young ladies who had a tough time ordering for us nine seniors! As always on the pilgrimage, we made reservations here because the Golden Swan offers good food at fair prices and a lovely beer garden. There were 17 of us there, but I had reserved "only" for 14. No problem, even though we sat inside due to the bad weather. Thank you very much for your flexibility, the excellent service, and the excellent food, as always. The Golden Swan is an inviting restaurant with a beautiful beer garden. Even at its peak, the staff remains prompt and friendly. The flavors and fresh ingredients are a testament to the chef's skill... Despite a small menu, every guest will find something to their liking. It's a place you'll enjoy visiting.

A nice home-style restaurant in the pedestrian zone in the middle of Kevelaer. The meals were very tasty and freshly prepared. Special requests were also implemented at no additional cost. The drinks were cool and served very quickly. The service was attentive, helpful and friendly. Public parking is available at the basilica for a small fee. It is highly recommended to reserve a table in advance as the restaurant is very busy.

Great farewell meal before departure from Weeze. We are “repeat offenders” and we like to go here when the schedule suits us. Everything is at a high level and consistently in its own ranking. The Golden Swan has recently been renovated and shines in new splendor. I think it is now clearly the first house on the site. But what is really a joy is the food and the friendly and competent service as well as the young host family. We ate asparagus. And it was really prepared first-class. Really good. Unfortunately, single people are not welcome in this restaurant. It's not called a "family restaurant" for nothing. The quality of the food is good, but as a single guest you are ignored for half an hour until a server comes and then you have to wait another half hour until the food is served to you. And only after remembering again. By then, you've already lost your appetite because of the irritation at the disrespectful treatment. You should not expect a gesture of compensation, for example in the form of a drink or a small dessert on the house. The staff also doesn't admit any mistakes. Despite witnesses at the neighboring table who noticed the long waiting time, it is also claimed that the waiting time only seemed so long to the guest and was actually shorter. I can still read the clock though. This was a decidedly clumsy and unprofessional reaction from the female waitress. To put it bluntly, this is a method of so-called gaslighting. My recommendation to the owner: put up signs from the outset that say "individual guests not allowed" so that only couples, groups and families visit the hospitable place. Or train your staff to treat individual guests with the same attention as couples and groups, even if you think you can earn more from the latter.

Just don't go there. Too expensive for the service and the food. Service is terrible, I've never experienced anything like that. First, the fries were missing with my dish, and there was no longer any service staff near the table, so I could have complained promptly, so I had to eat my schnitzel without a side dish so that it didn't get cold. And when someone finally decided to serve us again (about 30 minutes later) and we complained, they said that the chip key (which had been placed between two other guests at our table) was for everyone involved and that I should go first Eat the fries (which are still around 10 cold) before fresh ones are delivered. Sorry guys, for over 20 euros per person, I expect a full meal and not just a schnitzel and the leftovers from others at the table. For 5 adults who ordered a dish with fries, only 2 small bowls, even the children had more fries on their children's plates (why did they actually have the fries directly on the plate and not a bowl too????? ). And then the subterranean reaction to the complaint that I should eat the cold fries first and get in touch earlier (which, by the way, I would have liked to have done if you hadn't been hiding), thank you, I'm more than served. You've lost me as a customer and I can't in good conscience recommend anyone to eat here, even though the food is actually good if you get everything you order........ My opinion, if after a meal worth over 20 euros in a home-style restaurant you then have to go to the nearest chip shop because you're feeling under the weather, then it's better to save your money for the restaurant.......
