Absolutes Highlight für unsere Fahrradgruppe! Wir waren im Rahmen einer Fahrradtour im "Alt Derb" in Kevelaer und sind restlos begeistert. Der Service war außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und hat uns herzlich empfangen – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Kulinarisch war es ein echtes Fest: Die Rinderroulade und der Sauerbraten waren absolut lecker, perfekt zubereitet und geschmacklich eine glatte Eins! Aber auch alle anderen Mitglieder unserer Fahrradgruppe waren mit ihren Speisen durchweg sehr zufrieden. Hier stimmt einfach alles – von der Küche bis zur Gastfreundschaft. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! Vielen Dank an das tolle Team!

Essen war spitze und das Service-Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich

Google ist aber auch neugierig. Ich war nur kurz dort, weil meine Kinder unglaublichen Harndrang verspürten. Warum ich trotzdem eine Bewertung schreibe? Weil mir ein paar Dinge beim Warten aufgefallen sind: Das Restaurant wirkte urig - modern (ja, irgendwie haben die den Spagat hinbekommen den alten Charme in renoviertes Aussehen zu verpacken, fand ich hochwertig, gemütlich). Die Angestellten waren fast entrüstet, wie ich fragen konnte, ob meine Kinder zur Toilette dürften, das sei doch selbstverständlich. Ein angebotener Obolus wurde abgelehnt. (Das fand ich nicht selbstverständlich, in anderen Lokalitäten hätte man sich Geld erbeten.) Das Essen, was dort rausging, ließ mir das Wasser im Munde zusammenlaufen, die Steaks und Beilagen sahen sehr ansprechend aus. Die Angestellten waren flink und behende unterwegs. Alles wirkte sehr geschäftig und aufmerksam. Der Gesamteindruck war so, dass ich dort sicher mal ein Essen einplane. Kevelaer ist immer eine Reise wert.

Wunderschönes hotel netter Service

Das Restaurant ist innen wie außen wunderschön. Es herrscht eine ungezwungene, sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre und die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll. Die Speisekarte bot eine große Auswahl an köstlichen deutschen Gerichten, die alle frisch zubereitet wurden. Das Fleisch war von höchster Qualität, und das Restaurant ist außerdem auf Dry-Aged-Fleisch spezialisiert. Der Service war sehr professionell und freundlich. Wir haben das Abendessen mit dem leckeren Schnitzel und den Bratkartoffeln sehr genossen. Auch die Salatbar war reichhaltig und schmackhaft. Ein besonderer Dank gilt den beiden Kellnerinnen Ayfer und Angela. Dank ihrer Gastfreundschaft kommen wir ganz bestimmt wieder! Das beste Restaurant in Kevelaer! Absolut top!

Ich war neulich im Alt Derp und bin wirklich begeistert. Schon beim Reingehen merkt man direkt das gemütliche, authentische Kneipenflair. Die Einrichtung ist rustikal, warm und lädt einfach zum Verweilen ein. Perfekt, um einen entspannten Abend mit Freunden zu genießen oder auch mal alleine auf ein Bier vorbeizuschauen. Die Getränkekarte ist super ausgewogen – von klassischen Bieren bis zu besonderen Spezialitäten ist alles dabei. Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist, dass die Getränke immer frisch und gut gezapft sind. Dazu passt das freundliche Personal, das immer aufmerksam, locker und herzlich ist. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Auch das Publikum trägt zur tollen Atmosphäre bei: entspannt, freundlich und locker – genau die richtige Mischung für eine Kneipe, in der man gerne länger bleibt. Insgesamt ist das Alt Derp für mich eine Top-Adresse in Kevelaer, wenn man auf der Suche nach einer gemütlichen Kneipe mit richtig guter Stimmung ist. 👉 Absolut empfehlenswert – ich komme definitiv wieder!

Ich war vor Kurzem im Alt Derp und kann wirklich sagen: absolute Spitzenklasse und ganz klar 5 Sterne! Schon beim Reinkommen fühlt man sich direkt wohl. Das Ambiente ist super angenehm, gemütlich und gleichzeitig stilvoll. Man merkt sofort, dass hier Wert auf Details gelegt wird und dass der Gast im Mittelpunkt steht. Genau so sollte ein Restaurantbesuch sein. Der Service war einfach überragend. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Man wird herzlich empfangen, bestens beraten und während des gesamten Aufenthalts perfekt betreut. Dabei ist alles sehr locker und natürlich – nicht aufgesetzt, sondern einfach ehrlich gastfreundlich. So ein Service ist heute echt selten und macht den Besuch nochmal deutlich besser. Und dann das Essen – ich kann es nicht anders sagen: einfach nur krass gut! Die Qualität ist wirklich auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Alles frisch, perfekt zubereitet und geschmacklich einfach ein Traum. Das absolute Highlight war für mich ganz klar das Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb. Ich habe schon viele Schnitzel gegessen, aber dieses hier war wirklich next level. Perfekt goldbraun, außen super knusprig und innen unglaublich zart und saftig. Genau so stellt man sich ein perfektes Wiener Schnitzel vor. Der Geschmack war einfach überragend – so gut, dass man am liebsten direkt noch eins bestellen möchte. Auch die Beilagen waren top und haben perfekt dazu gepasst. Alles war stimmig und aufeinander abgestimmt. Man merkt einfach, dass hier mit Leidenschaft gekocht wird. Insgesamt war das ein rundum perfektes Erlebnis. Service top, Essen top, Atmosphäre top – besser geht es kaum. Für mich definitiv eines der besten Restaurants in der Gegend. Ganz klare Empfehlung und mehr als verdiente 5 Sterne. Wenn ich könnte, würde ich sogar 100 Punkte geben! Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Ich hatte ein köstliches Essen.

Die Qualität des Essens steht außer Frage. Das Fleisch der Filetspitzen war gut gegart und schmackhaft. Etwas unglücklich war die Anrichte des Gerichts. Die Filetspitzen mit sehr viel Soße wurden in einem tiefen Teller serviert. Als Beilage gab es in einem Schälchen gereichte Röstis. Das ist beim Essen schwer miteinander zu verbinden. Ich hatte zuvor schon einmal einen Rehgulasch der in sehr viel Soße schwamm. Geschmacklich toll, aber bei solche Gerichten die Soßen getrennt zu reichen würde besser aussehen und wäre auch leichter für jeden Geschmack zu dosieren.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wir waren zu zweit im Restaurant Alt Derp in Kevelaer essen und rundum begeistert! Schon der Gruß aus der Küche – ein köstlicher Karotten-Schaum – war ein echtes Highlight und machte Lust auf mehr. Als Vorspeisen hatten wir hausgemachtes Dry-Aged-Beef-Cappuccino und Kräuterbrot. Beides war hervorragend, besonders das Dry-Aged-Beef in Kombination mit dem bereitgestellten Salz – ein Geschmackserlebnis! Zum Hauptgang wählten wir das Lammfilet mit Zitronen-Couscous-Reis sowie ein Dry-Aged-Rumpsteak mit Bratkartoffeln und Kräuterbutter. Beide Gerichte waren perfekt zubereitet und außergewöhnlich lecker. Den krönenden Abschluss bildete das Cheesecake Crème Brûlée – ein Dessert, das einfach zum Dahinschmelzen war. Man merkt bei jedem Gericht, mit wie viel Liebe und Können hier gekocht wird. Wir mussten bei jedem Gang einfach lachen – so gut war es! Ein ganz großes Lob an die Küche und den Service – wir kommen definitiv wieder!

I'd say I haven't eaten as well in years as I did that day. I've lived in Kevelaer for a while, but we've never eaten there before. We were there on our wedding anniversary, and I was absolutely thrilled with what we were offered. It's only natural that the prices aren't comparable to those of any chip shop. I'm already looking forward to our next visit. 👍

I am reviewing the Restaurant . I had a authentic Wiener Schnitzel. Foremost I must say that my conclusion is that a Wiener Schnitzel is nothing special after having tasted it. Is was my first and I wanted to eat one for such a long time to compare it to a Wiener art Schnitzel (porc). What I can complement the Chef on was that de his/her Schnitzel was good, maybe even perfect. The crust was as it should be crispy and it maintained crispines during my meal. It was served with a compote end simple fries. So yes Inwaa slightly disappointed but not with the quality of the Chef. That disappointed was also due to other dish being served opposite of me which not only looked very delicious but also tasted so ( I got to sample it ). It was served with potatoes and red cabbage on the side. My only comment is that the red cabbage had much garlic which dominated too much to my opinion . They also serve different steaks in different weights. So I am definely going back. The Restaurant atmosphere is nice and diverse. Be early or make a reservation if your sure it is your place to be because it is well visited. We did not reserve and dropped in. There can be a draft if the entrance stays open on a windy day. We ate inside and chose to sit somewhere else when another table got free and that was totally no problem. The restrooms are clean and the establishment looked to be wheelchair accessible. There is a terras outside front where you can enjoy a meal to and if you don't mind smokers

We've been there several times, and it's always been fantastic. No matter what we ordered, it was always top-notch. The steaks are amazing, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We always enjoy coming back.

I was there for dinner. Great meat selection in the rump steak section. I had the Cordon Bleu. It was really good. The owner is very friendly and approachable.

We stopped in spontaneously; it was a summer evening and we could sit outside. And we stayed much longer than we planned because it was so beautiful. First of all, the team is so incredibly friendly that you just feel at home. Warm and attentive, always there at the right time. And there's even time for a little personal chat. Above all, the food is a real treat. The salad with fruit and vegetables is so refreshing and exciting, and the desserts are heavenly! We had honey ice cream with apricot and white chocolate cream with crumble - indescribable!!! Unfortunately, we live over an hour away, otherwise we would be there more often! We ate here for the second time today. And what can I say: everything was fantastic. Not only was the food delicious, the service was excellent. Always friendly and able to anticipate your every need.

I visited the restaurant and was absolutely thrilled. The waitresses are super friendly. And genuinely friendly. The atmosphere is fantastic—right next to a water feature and across from one of Kevelaer's beautiful churches. The food was fresh—no frozen food. I just would have liked a bit of salad with my schnitzel. The prices are a bit on the high side, but it's absolutely worth it!

I went to dinner with a friend. The service was extremely competent, friendly, fast, and welcoming. The food was incredibly delicious and perfectly prepared. The ox cheek was very tender and fell apart. My friend's cordon bleu was also absolutely fantastic. We'll definitely be back!

We ate there again. Actually it's always been good, but this time... My gyros pan was very oily and my wife put the Jäger sauce on the breaded schnitzel. After. The best thing was the "very loud" service, who asked us four times within 10 minutes if everything was OK. The fourth time we told her that everything was okay, like the other three times. After that there was some peace. There was also another waitress who spoke at a "normal" volume. Of course our “purer” I didn't ask if it was tasty. But that wasn't important anymore anyway. Normally we recommend it, but this time the price/performance ratio (for the food) and sometimes the service were not right.

What a treat! The finest meat dishes for people who don't want to give up all 'carnal pleasures' yet. Beef roulades, for example, which don't have to shy away from comparison with the mother's version. Or a beef goulash that was so good that just remembering it makes your mouth water. Meat is not forbidden here, but is celebrated according to the motto: If an animal had to die, then you have to make the greatest effort. So: The “Alt Derp” is a Restaurant, a mecca for meat lovers, and also worth the longer journey. Highly recommended!

Alt Derp.in Kevelaer: TOP food.TOP quality. Top service. Price/performance is right. Excellent, regional cuisine that is prepared with a lot of love. A place where I really enjoy being. Lots of small shops, cafes, good mix and of course the spiritual part of Kevelaer. I love it. And we love going to Alt Derp. Just like today. Very good food, nice service from a Polish-speaking waitress. In my opinion, the prices are adequate to the taste and size of the dish.

The service staff could be more attentive. I tried to order something several times, but the young ladies aren't attentive enough and don't look around well enough when they're standing in the door, even though they're waving their hands to draw attention to themselves. It's a shame, otherwise everything is fine as always with Alt Derp.

Very high-priced gastronomy, but quality is good, the most expensive kale we have ever eaten. It was unbearable that despite the extensive drinking, it was not possible to get a small glass of tap water to swallow a tablet in addition to the final espresso. A disgrace for such a place.

We were barely sitting, there were four of us there, when everyone was attacked with three menus and a litany of drinks etc. was rattled off (there's no other way to describe it). It was easy to feel overwhelmed and not be able to take in the ambience etc. That's a point deduction and that the side dishes weren't really hot, and some of the two gentlemen had too thick a breading on the schnitzel and it wasn't quite hot.

Beautiful old house that was lovingly run by Mr. Stassen many years ago. That's why the people of Kevela still say today "let's go to Stassen". The middle-class kitchen and the pub had to give way and even the simple Kevela residents are no longer really welcome there. Wanted to dine there with a friend and entered the restaurant. My friend immediately went to the toilet after choosing a seat. I ordered 2 drinks from the waiter in advance because the choice of food had not yet been made. I was immediately told by the waiter that this was not a pub and that I should order the food immediately. I said no because my friend was in the toilet and (of course) I didn't want to/couldn't order for him. The waiter came back 2 minutes later and repeated his request for an immediate order ("we're not a pub here"). After my friend returned from the toilet and I explained this incident to him, we left the restaurant. We definitely won't be coming back. We ended up having a very good steak at a better price elsewhere. An impossible behavior on the part of the waiter, but I assume that he was "trained" to do this by the owner.

We went on a bike tour to Kevelaer and had reserved tables at this restaurant. We all agreed that we ate really well.

We were there last night. I had an undefined piece on my cheeseburger. Looked like fries that had already been in the hairdresser three times. When I asked what it was I was told it was onions. So that was all but no onions. Very unfortunate and not professional. The burger patti was much too thick, the fries were too crispy (they had probably been in the hairdresser too long. The staff was very friendly.

Service is different and friendlier... today I sat down in the outside area of ​​the pedestrian zone and first ordered a drink...[I was waiting for my partner] small table... lots of other tables were free... I came to the next table A little later a couple... without being asked by the waitress... the menu was taken from my table quite rudely [according to the motto they definitely don't want to eat] and brought to the other table with the couple [even though other tables were not occupied were and therefore free menus were lying around / maybe you should get a few more menus if more than one is needed at a table ] the menu was no longer returned either... Sorry but that had to happen for me [and my partner who I from the service while I'm waiting] done with the food in your house / a certain level of respect is required and expected from guests as well as the service staff... I've never experienced anything like that before. I'm all about politeness and respect always too polite and knows how difficult it is to serve... which is reflected in the tip - there was always more than the usual 10% / but perhaps only regular guests are well served here
