Excellent food and very friendly attentive service. Be sure to check out the daily/weekly menu - they have special and seasonal dishes.

The atmosphere is not bad. The main dishes are a bit expensive but okay, but the desserts are quite expensive, all costing more than 8 euros... The champagne ice cream is terrible... Overall 3.5/5, probably won’t come back again

It would be absurd to praise this restaurant highly. Then other people would just get in my way when it came to making table reservations and I would have to worry that the Americana pizza or tiramisu had run out. So, avoid the Giardino! Why do you need white fabric tablecloths? Washable placemats in other restaurants also work! And, to be honest, don't you like to cook a packet of soup at home? Thank you for your understanding! 🤗

Unfortunately we cannot give this restaurant full stars and will not recommend it. We ordered a starter and main course. The starter came quite quickly but it took 50-60 minutes for the main course to arrive, so we were hardly hungry and wanted to leave. My wife and I had a pasta dish. The spaghetti was far too raw and the tomato sauce was too sour. There was a dead wasp in my wife's food, the waiter didn't even apologize, there wasn't even a small compensation because we'd lost our appetite and even though the prices were quite high, we weren't treated even remotely well (that's what you usually get at least with Italian bread with balsamic vinegar and oil if the main course takes almost 60 minutes to arrive). We have never been treated so badly...

I lived in Heidelberg 2009-2012 and I had to let you know that you were my absolute favorite restaurant in all of Europe. We lived down the street and I would get the tagliatelle salmone at least once a week. I miss you guys so much and I hope I can visit again. So, from America, thank you for some of the best memories I have ever had! ❤️❤️❤️

The 4 cheese pizza is very tasty here.

Almost no gluten-free. I phoned in advance and was told it would be fine. I got fish with lemon “sauce” that seemed to be pure lemon juice. All the sauces for mains, all the desserts, contain gluten, including the vanilla ice cream. As does the salad dressing. Staff were friendly.

The best Italian restaurant in Heidelberg

Here you can still experience the old charm of Italy... everything is a bit slow and dilapidated, but somehow funny that a shop like this can still survive and spreads this old Italian charm and is always full, people seem to like it.. You can fry meat, fish is always a bit too dry, pizza is great, starters are good, but very fatty. They wouldn't survive in the city, but they would be a highlight in Rohrbach

Very nice service. Ravioli filled with fish in lobster sauce is unfortunately very tasty and filling, there is hardly any room left for the panna cotta on fruit. Parking a bit difficult, tram stop in front of the door

Very good food, attentive and friendly service. Personally, the portion was a bit too small for me and I didn't feel full. But the taste was great. Ambience is simply rustic. Parking situation is rather difficult.

Exceptional Italian. The food was freshly prepared with very good ingredients. Rarely have I had such delicious salmon tagliatelle. The other food was also very excellent. The waiters were very nice and in an appealing atmosphere. We'll come back on our next HD visit 👌👌👌

Good, large portions, friendly service

Restaurant Giardino is located a little outside the city center. With the food they serve and the service they provide, it is well worth it to come out and enjoy a great Italian evening.

TK food seems to rule here. Very loud and priced a little above average.

Nice restaurant with nice, friendly service and beautifully set tables. The menu is varied and there is always an extra menu with different specialties. We have eaten there several times and we actually like it very much, unfortunately not so much yesterday. In the fish dishes, salmon and zander, the fish was fried for far too long and was therefore dry and hard. The vegetables were very soft and the potatoes didn't look good either and weren't very tasty. I'm sorry, but fish at an Italian restaurant has to be juicy and fried until it's translucent and not so dead. The pasta dishes were good as usual and the meat was okay too.

Food and service are very good. That's why it's always well attended. Unfortunately, this makes it a bit loud.

Waren leider enttäuscht, ziemlich lange Wartezeit obwohl es nicht voll war und dass Essen hat auch nicht wirklich gut geschmeckt.

Ein schöner Italiener in der Nachbarschaft mit freundlichem, authentischen Personal. Es gibt vorab Bruschetta aufs Haus, was gut geschmeckt hat. Getränke & Essen wurden schnell geliefert. Die Portionen sind wirklich groß. Ich wurde sehr gut satt und bin ein guter Esser. Die Gerichte haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Empfehlenswertes Restaurant, wir würden wiederkommen.

Ein eigenartiges Erlebnis. Die Hauptgänge waren hervorragend, wirklich gut und eigentlich 5 Sterne wert. Die Vorspeise war dagegen vollständig Tiefkühlkost. Die Mineralwasserflaschen, wurden mit Leitungswasser aufgefüllt, das macht dann eigentlich 0 Sterne. Die Weine waren gut, sogar sehr gut und haben perfekt zu den zum Hauptgang gepasst. Das Ambiente ist etwas lieblos aber alles ist sauber. Und das Bier, naja bei einem Italiener ist das nicht so wichtig, aber Konzernbier (Fürstenberg - Heineken Konzern), das muss nicht sein, da gibt es in der Region besseres.

Hervorragender Italiener mit schönen Ambiente und freundlichen zuvorkommenden Personal! Das Essen war einfach top,selten so gut italienisch gegessen,alles selbst gemacht bis zu den Spagetti,einfach top! Da wir ohne Reservierung dort ankamen und es ziemlich voll war wurden wir trotzdem bedient und bekamen einen Tisch und um die Kinder wurde sich auch gekümmert, schön! Sehr positives Erlebnis und ganz klare Empfehlung,ohne zu übertreiben der wohl beste Italiener in der Region!

Habe kulanterweise, noch ein frisch gekochtes Abendessen bekommen. Für Touristen, kann ich den Chefteller empfehlen. Es kommt ein traditionelles aber unter dem Namen, für mich unbekanntes Gericht. War ein Leckerschmecker!

Solides Italienisches Restaurant, immer gut gelaunter und aufmerksamer Service, klassische italienische Küche. Immer Sommer kann man auch sehr schön draußen sitzen. Klare Empfehlung!

Obwohl das Restaurant gut besucht war, ist man sich vorgekommen als wäre man der einzige Gast, sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Essen ist vorzüglich und die beiden langjährigen Ober bedienen einem mit distanzvollem Witz und unaufdringlicher Freundlichkeit. Sehr geschmackvolles Ambiente, empfehlenswert, ich rate zu reservieren.

For me, a regular restaurant I go to to meet friends for lunch because the food is always excellent as is the service. Can certainly recommend.

Also wenn das Giardino einer der besten Italiener der Stadt sein soll, dann armes Heidelberg! Im Innern des Lokals scheint die Zeit stehen geblieben zu sein. Alles wird von schwülstiger Deko erschlagen. Man sitzt auf unbequemen Korbsesseln aus vergangenen Tagen. Uns so ist auch das Essen! Pizza Hawaii von 1985, Mozzarella kostet extra, Eisbergsalat mit Balsamico Sauce aus dem Eimer. Und das zu absurd hohen Preisen, als wäre man im feinsten Lokal der Stadt. Einmal und nie wieder!

Hyggeligt sted med fint udendørsareal. Maden var lækker og virkelig autentisk, smagte næsten som at være i Italien. Servicen var ok, men vi måtte et par gange gøre opmærksom på os selv.

Wir waren schon mehrfach hier, sodass es jetzt auch einmal Zeit für ein Feedback wird. Die Pizza ist exzellent. Auch der Service ist super freundlich und die Atmosphäre ist sehr entspannt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

wir waren eine größere Gesellschaft und hatten Aperitiv, Vorspeisen, Hauptspeisen und Dessert. Also man kann schon sagen, eine rentable Runde. Doch wurden Essen vergessen, dann extrem spät nachgebracht. Das (teure) Fischgericht war ohne Garnitur lieblos auf einer Platte serviert. Oft saßen wir auch auf dem Trockenen. Der Kellner kann schon sehr viel Show machen, aber das zeichnet nicht unbedingt ein gutes Lokal aus. Erst muss ein guter Service geliefert werden, dann kommt die Show. Obwohl der Service sichtbar überfordert war wurden immer weitere Gäste angenommen.
