Excellent food, staff and atmosphere. Ordered the risotto with steak which was amazing. Had the raspberry sorbet which was also delicious. Wait staff was more than willing to accommodate our English-speaking party, for which, we are thankful. We will be back!

Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. Prices are above average. Drinks, appetizers, and desserts, in particular, make it a bit pricey.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but the pizza was disappointing. The prices are quite high, but the taste and quality of the pizza didn't live up to them. On top of that, the bread was cold. Overall, not recommended if you value good food.

Lovely Italian restaurant, great food at reasonable price. Service was really good and the staff was friendly & helpful. We were in the city only for a night otherwise would have loved to go for at least three courses. Tip: the pizza from kids menu is same size as normal pizza. So if you got two kids best to order just one to share to avoid waste. Would recommend reserving in advance as it was full & thankfully we had a reservation.

I ate at Da Baggio and overall had a nice, but slightly uneven experience. The restaurant itself is cozy and pleasant, with a relaxed atmosphere that works well for a casual dinner. It feels welcoming and comfortable, not loud or stressful. The service was friendly, but there were a few small mistakes. At one point, they thought we were a different group size than what we had clearly said, and later a sparkling drink was served instead of still water. Nothing dramatic, but noticeable and it breaks the flow a bit. The highlight was clearly the Wildschwein (wild boar) pizza. It was very good, well topped, flavorful, and nicely balanced. The dough was solid and the ingredients worked well together. Considering the fair price, it’s good value and definitely something I’d order again.

We went to Da Baggio for dinner as a couple. The atmosphere in the restaurant is truly lovely – cozy, stylish, and inviting. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. We were served by a very young, friendly waitress who clearly had little experience. She didn't know parts of the menu and didn't know how to open a wine bottle – which I, as a guest, ended up doing for her. You can't really blame her personally – she was trying her best and was friendly. In my opinion, the responsibility clearly lies with the owner to better train new employees and not let them loose on the guests unprepared. The food was generally good. However, one pizza arrived cold and had to be reheated, which somewhat marred the overall impression. In short: a nice ambiance, solid cuisine, but the service definitely needs improvement. With better-trained staff, this place could be so much better.

We had lunch at Da Baggio today. My pizza was absolutely delicious: fresh ingredients, toppings piled high, and a perfectly crispy crust. The restaurant itself is also very tastefully decorated. Even the Christmas decorations are simple and lovely.

We spent a truly lovely evening here with eight people: from the Prosecco upon arrival, to the wines, appetizer platters, main courses, dessert variations, and coffee specialties: everything was fresh and delicious, the portions were just right, the service was always attentive, and the prices were truly reasonable by today's standards. We'd love to come back!

I'm still craving Italian food in Germany, and tonight I found another Italian restaurant and had to give it another try! It's been so long since I've had it, I missed it so much. I devoured the vegetable gratin tonight by myself; it was really good. The bread was a little hard, which was a shame because it wasn't reheated. The alfredo pasta was also very good; I highly recommend it. After dinner, I walked to the back and realized there was a large outdoor area. Everyone else was crowded outside, leaving me alone inside. It was so nice to have my own space!

We were here for the first time as a larger group. The food was excellent, and the decor and service were pleasant. We'd gladly return. It was a simpler, great quality, and simply a pleasant evening.

Not value for money! Tagliatelle with chanterelle mushrooms for €22, lacking flavor and finesse; salad for €20 with too few chanterelle mushrooms; gnocchi were okay. All in all, you'd expect more in this price range.

The restaurant's ambiance is truly lovely. Unfortunately, there were some minor flaws with the food: the pasta was a bit too soft, and the pizza would have tasted better with less cheese. These are minor issues, but with a little more care in the preparation, much could be improved. The service also suffered a setback: Ordered items were forgotten several times, which somewhat dampens the overall impression. Overall, a nice place with potential if the kitchen and service received a little more attention.

Although we didn't have a reservation the staff we very accomodating. Da Baggio has good food, really helpful friendly service and reasonable prices.

We were here with a larger group and had reserved two long rows of tables. The antipasti were pre-ordered and the same for everyone. You could choose your main course and dessert. Despite the many different orders, the kitchen and service managed everything smoothly and quickly, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Definitely a recommendation!

War wirklich lecker. Wir hatten den Wolfsbarsch mit Butter-Tagliatelle und die Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten, dazu jeder ein Glas Montepulciano. Der Wein war sehr gut, perfekte Trinktemperatur (ist ja heute leider auch nicht mehr selbstverständlich). Die Butter-Tagliatelle hätten mehr sein können, die Portion war insgesamt etwas klein und der Wolfsbarsch hatte leider einige Gräten - daher einen Punkt Abzug. Die Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten waren on point 🙏 Danke für den gemütlichen Abend!

Good Italian restaurant. The quatro fromagi was good the bufalino (tomato, basilicum (8/10) and buffalo mozzarella was okay (6/10). The desserts were nice. The dough of the pizza is not the greatest but is okay.

Very good food and excellent service. Outdoor seating is also available. Everything is clean and the atmosphere is simple. We had a bruschetta pizza for starters, followed by a delicious gnocchi dish. We finished with espresso and cappuccino. I'd love to come back!

Da Baggio is a bit off the beaten track from the old town, but it's worth the trip. The garden seating is cozy. The food (1 pizza, 1 risotto) was twice as delicious thanks to the friendly service. We'll be back!

The fast and friendly service underscores the slightly upscale character. I had the tagliatelle with salmon, which tasted amazing!

Es galt eine Gastro-Lücke in der Weststadt endlich zu schließen! Die vielen positiven Kommentare riefen ja nur so danach! Also Anfang Juno einen 2er-Tisch dort reserviert und unsere üblichen "Test-Essen" geordert: - Vitello Tonnato - Pizza Quatro Formaggi - Salmone alla Griglia Leider war es uns nicht möglich den Geschmack der Gerichte zu erraten, es war alles komplett/hoffnungslos versalzen!! Selbst mein Tischnachbar - der sonst gerne mal nachsalzt! - meinte nur: " mehr Salz wäre jetzt wirklich nicht nötig gewesen!" Insbesondere konnte ich nicht verstehen wie man einen Lachs dergestalt ("à la Salzmine") verhunzen kann ... Der Service war durchweg freundlich, aber wohl nicht auf Schiene des Lokals! Er meinte nur: "Wenden Sie sich bitte an den Chef des Tages!" Der kam auch zufällig vorbei und konnte unsere Kommentare überhaupt nicht verstehen: "Bis jetzt waren immer alle Gäste zufrieden!" ... Ok, das Lokal hat wohl seine salzgewöhnte Kundschaft, möge es damit glücklich werden! Ich jedenfalls nicht! Immerhin: der Chef des Tages spendierte uns 2 kleine Wasser zum herunterspülen des übermäßigen Salzgehalts ... Ich empfehle diesen Umstand beim nächsten Besuch ggfs. zu berücksichtigen. Ernest

Good selection of food and drinks, and good quality. We had a very pleasant evening and would gladly come back.

I was there three days ago and ate the daily special: tagliatelle with avocado, cherry tomatoes, and Parmesan. The portion was very small, more like an appetizer—half of a regular portion. It cost just under €20.00—I found that unreasonable, not to mention outrageous. I told the waiter, and he said he and the kitchen couldn't change it; it was a top-down decision.

Ten of us were here today, and Lara served us very friendly, quickly, and professionally. Everything was perfect, and the atmosphere was very cozy. I even requested a dish that wasn't on the menu, and my request was accommodated without any problems. Absolutely top-notch! Highly recommended. 👍🏼

It was really busy and we had just arrived in Heidelberg on a Saturday night. We were Lucky enough to get the last table for two people. The service was so friendly and so nice and the food was really really amazing. Thanks so much that we got a table!

We ordered linguine with asparagus from the daily special. The portions were as small as an appetizer, and there wasn't even a whole asparagus in the meal. The prices aren't justified. If I'm paying €20 for a pasta dish, I want to get something appropriate. There was no pancetta bacon in the pasta as advertised, but just regular diced bacon. High-priced restaurant where quality is lacking. We were very disappointed.

Food and waiting time were very good, we waited about 10 minutes. Service is bad, no one has a dish or forgot the cutlery. You can't pay with a card at the table, you have to go to the bar at the entrance

I came to spend a few days in Heidelberg and have been falling in love with everything: the nature, the architecture, and the wonderful gastronomy. That’s why, trusting the good reviews, I made a reservation at this restaurant hoping for a special evening to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be quite the opposite. We started with a small skewer appetizer and ordered pizzas, which took over 40 minutes to arrive. That might be understandable in a busy restaurant... but the place wasn’t even full. On top of that, the table next to us was extremely loud, making it hard to enjoy the atmosphere. When the pizzas finally arrived, we found a piece of aluminum in my girlfriend’s pizza. We informed the staff, but they didn’t seem to care we didn’t even receive an apology. I had clearly mentioned in the reservation that it was a birthday celebration, hoping for at least a small gesture, but it was evident that no one had read the note or paid attention to it. And to top it all off, the waitress had the audacity to act arrogantly when it came time to pay. I honestly don’t understand why we were the only ones who had such a disappointing experience that night. We were treated poorly for no reason at all. Heidelberg is full of beautiful spots and charming restaurants. Don’t waste your time at this one there are much better options.

When I asked if you could still get an espresso at 4 p.m., the coffee machine was being cleaned - with continuous opening hours. Food was ok.

Tageskarte an den Wänden mehrfach vorhanden & auch in der Karte drinnen. Normale Portionen. Innen chick,."Echter" Italiener. Unbedingt reservieren (ausser zu zweit/dritt am Sonntag abend ausserhab der Saison). Gute Strassenbahnanbindung zum Hbf (2 Stationen) und in die Altstadt. Durchgehend Küche.

Ein fantastisches Restaurant. Ein sehr tolles, freundliches, kompetentes und junges Serviceteam. Und das Essen ist unglaublich gut und auch einfallsreich. Die Rotebeete-Ziegenkäse-Lasagne war ein Traum, der gegrillte Oktopus so gut und auch die Pizza einfach genial. Eine Empfehlung aus vollstem Herzen!

The “winter garden” is more of a loud, stuffy hall with no atmosphere. Given the high prices, you expect a lot more - both in terms of the ambience and the quality of the food. Price-performance doesn't fit here.

The service was very nice. Unfortunately the food was inedible. Our appetizer platter was sparse and the catpaccion was brown in color instead of red. Something like that doesn't belong on any table. The lasagna with wild boar was ok. The salad is also inedible. A bunch of lettuce leaves that looked completely stale and the avocado was also not edible. In the reservation platform I was shown a great picture of a table by the window with a great view. I paid 12 euros for this. But the restaurant only has a view of the tram. I call this a rip-off and should be removed from the reservation platform immediately. Either you have a great view and offer something like that, or you don't. Just not worth the money.

Great local Italian restaurant. My favourite pizza in Heidelberg is their Bufalina.

Very good food and extremely friendly staff. Until the moment the manager entered the restaurant. You noticed the tension immediately. What I personally found completely wrong was that he loudly criticized his staff in the presence of the guests for everything they supposedly hadn't done. Hence the points deduction for service. From my point of view, his appearance was just embarrassing.
