Great service!!! Food very good. I recommend this place

If you like a slap of dough with minimal toppings and a load of sugar, take the pizza Bianca. If not, go somewhere else.

We were there for lunch with 7 people. 6 of us had the lunch menu. Super tasty, large portion. 1 of us wanted a vegan dish. Wasn't a problem either. The staff was quick and attentive. All in all 👍.

We went to Da Baggio as part of a school trip! Since we were a very large group, it is of course always a challenge for the staff, especially when there are many extra requests and reorders! However, everything went smoothly from start to finish and the staff were always friendly and helpful and in a good mood! However, we don't think the price-performance ratio is necessarily right for every dish! Pasta was way too overpriced and the pizzas had just enough toppings!

Wow. Simply really good. We were greeted very nicely and were given a table without a reservation. Had a lovely evening with a great atmosphere and really good food. The day menu presented us with a challenge as everything sounded so good. Nevertheless, we managed to decide 😉

We had dinner at Da Baggio for the first time this evening. The male waiter is very arrogant, hopefully he's not a boss... not recommended 👎👎

We were there with our bowling club (11 girls). The food was great, the drinks were cold and the service was excellent. We had a great time sitting outside and spent a few hours there. If we are in Heidelberg again we would love to go back!!!

If you always have to make a reservation in a restaurant, you can safely take that as a very good sign. Da Baggio and his team have become the “Italians we trust”. Excellent fish dishes and seafood: Branzino! Pulpo! great risotto. Great veal schnitzel etc. Every now and then something new on the changing menu. But the pizzas are also great! Beautiful selected wines. You can safely go there. In summer: great terrace - but also very cozy inside!

Es war ein richtig schöner Abend gewesen. Das Essen war mega gut (wir haben Pizza, Pasta, Schnitzel etc bestellt & niemand hatte was zu bemängeln). Wir waren als Team mit 12 Personen vor Ort gewesen. Alles verlief reibungslos, das Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder 😊

The food was very tasty, the dishes arrived quickly and it was perfect. However, the service was very arrogant and snooty, so it was just a bad experience for us overall. Too bad! Addendum: Unfortunately, my companion had to throw up the next day from the salad he ordered. We won't come anymore. Too bad!

Best pizza I've ever eaten! Big compliments to the kitchen!

The waiter was rude, unfriendly and arrogant, something I've never experienced before. Only gives out a maximum of 4 glasses per bottle of wine, because this is the rule and as a 'sommelier' he knows better, then divides the entire bottle (!!!) into the 4 glasses at once, far more than that usual amount and also uneven, so he can prove how right he is as a wannabe sommelier! So we preferred to forego a second bottle or desserts rather than stay in this restaurant any longer. Do yourself a favor and don't go there.

When we ordered a bottle of wine (0.75l) with six glasses, we were told that wine would be served with a maximum of four glasses. Offering the wine for tasting not to the person who ordered and paid for it, but to someone else, is a faux pas that can happen to a waiter, but should not happen if he tries to emphasize his outstanding skills as a sommelier in the next sentence. When we politely asked what the four-glass rule was all about, the waiter reacted maliciously and explained that a bottle of wine is just four glasses and that he was a sommelier and knew that. As if to prove this, he continued to pour wine into each of the four glasses, which he had already filled with the usual 0.1 liters, until the entire bottle of wine was distributed (not evenly, by the way), and said spitefully -triumphantly: “Here you go, exactly four glasses!” There is a different way to create a feel-good atmosphere, which is why we preferred to forego a second and third bottle of wine, which we would otherwise have ordered, as well as desserts. The pizzas were tasty, the courtyard is pretty, but couldn't make up for the waiter's demeanor. Fortunately, there are very good alternatives in the immediate area.

We ate outside, which is very pleasant. The starters - Bruschetta and Anti Pasti plate were very tasty. The Pizzas were nice and thin, but I would prefer that they are cooked a little bit longer as I prefer the base and crusts to be slightly crispy, rather than a bit pale and slightly doughy. My drinks were nice but the beers were warm - unacceptable in Germany ! (or anywhere for that matter).

Average food but incredibly unfriendly waiter. He claims he has a clue, only gives out 4 glasses per bottle of wine and then divides the bottle completely so that he as a “sommelier” is right and has control over it. Dear untrained incompetent: the guest BUYS the bottle and the experience around it, but not your opinion. No sommelier would divide a bottle completely into 4 glasses because it gets warm... I was at Pizza Hut today and they have more competent service than this guy...

Delicious pizza, got a nice spot without a reservation

very tasty food and very good service... we were in Heidelberg for two days and ate here both days because it was worth it!!!

Sind über Tripadvisor auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen. Die Begrüßung war herzlich. Wir hatten einen schönen Tisch im halboffenen Innenhof. Die Anti Pasti und die Bruschetta waren sehr lecker. Die Pizzen schön knusprig und luftig und sehr gut belegt. Der Service war sehr flott und freundlich. Das Da Baggio kann ich wirklich weiterempfehlen. Es liegt zwar etwas abseits der Altstadt aber einen Besuch ist es wert.

Cane here for a simple meal. Walking next to the station did not impress us neighbourhood wise. A lot of people who could make something better of their life. But in the last two streets the atmosphere changed and the restaurant was, in contrary of initial thought, cosy and simple having a great ambience. The service was very friendly, and the food, lovely pizzas, and starters served extremely fast. According to the cheerful waitress, we chose the right moment :-). Certainly a place to advise, our little boy also enjoyed his children pizza, to be welcomed without reservation on a quitte busy night, respect and many thanks.

Huge place, good food, very enjoyable and good value

We had made reservations for people on a Sunday evening and wanted to sit in the covered beer garden. This was well attended, but there were still a number of tables free (5 tables for 4 people were free), but we still had to sit at a table for two that was about 65x65 cm in size and was in the middle of the room. In response to inquiries it was said that the other places were kept free for spontaneous guests. If we had both ordered a pizza that was large and very good, there would have been a collision. The remaining tables remained free all evening. There was a complete misjudgment and we felt disadvantaged - we had an “emergency place” despite having a reservation, but a feel-good atmosphere is different. Unfortunately there was no response to the feedback we sent afterwards - apparently there are enough guests in Weststadt. Too bad!

Der Biergarten hat eine ansprechende Atmosphäre - gut besucht, familiär dennoch modern & gepflegt. Die Bruschetta sind tomatig/kräutrig-lecker. Das Pilzrisotto sowie die Rigatoni mit Lachs, geschmacklich wie handwerklich sehr gut, lediglich der Beilagensalat war etwas fad & latschig. Bepreisung der Speisen war fair, Getränke hingegen deutlich zu hoch - das gibt der Laden nicht her. Service war freundlich, präsent & fix, hatte jedoch das eine oder andere vergessen. Trotz kleiner Mängel ein schöner Abend & eine klare Empfehlung.

The garden here is delightful. You may need to make a reservation to sit there as it was fully booked when we arrived. Our choice was fairly basic - we had two pizzas, but there are more sophisticated dishes on the menu. We enjoyed our pizzas. The staff are great — they kindly spoke in English as our German is limited and were really pleasant.

So I haven't experienced anything like that in a long time, it was an absolute disaster. The waiter behaved so badly. Even though he speaks English fluently, he spoke super quickly in a fake Italian accent. Apparently he wanted to sail out. When it came to paying, he simply didn't let people pay for their wife's food and scheduled bongs the way he wanted. The only thing missing was that he poured red wine on every guest. I had a pizza that was underbaked and tasted okay, but definitely not up to par for pizza quality.

We were with our family 2 years after the last visit and unfortunately we were disappointed with the taste of the dishes. All the ordered dishes were nicely presented, but the taste of the dishes was very poor and we did not like them. The taste used to be really good and it's a pity that it has changed. Nice service .

I was in "Da Baggio Restaurant" to dinner with my family (wife and two kids, with 14 and 10 years old). We sat down and ordered food and drinks. Everything was fine. I looked for the bathroom and didn't found it. Then, I asked a waiter that had just finished to serve a table: "Excuse me Sir, where is the toilette, please?". Suddenly, he was totally crazy! He shouted at me, at a very high volume, that I would have to wait, because he was serving another costumers. He was very rude and aggressive, and yelled at me in front of the whole restaurante, and also my wife and kids. I felt terrified and just replied: "Calm down, man, calm down...". He shouted that I had no manners, that he wouldn't have to calm down, and a lot of bad things to me. Finally, he pointed with fury the direction to the toilette, without specific orientations. I was really shocked by the unexpected situation and just went to the bathroom. The other waiter (that was a nice guy) was also shocked with what happened and apologized to us later. But the waiter (later I found that his name is "Dimitrius") didn't apologize, looked or talked to us during the dinner. We tried to talk with the owner/manager but he wasn't there. We came back the next day and talked with one of the two owners. He was really nice and apologized for all that happened. We are very sad and hope that no one experience the same humiliating situation. But we wish all the best to the restaurant and the owners, who seem to be nice guys and worried with the customers.

I've been coming to DaBaggio for many years. During my visit today I noticed that the quality has decreased a lot, but at the same time the prices have increased generously. 9€ for a homemade lemonade just to give an example…. It's a shame, we won't be coming back for a while.

If you want good Italian food, you shouldn't come here.

Very tasty restaurant no matter what you take you have never been disappointed. The pizza in particular is very tasty. However, you should reserve in advance on the weekend.

Excellent service from a very charming waitress and waiter. They were very attentive and managed our allergy requirements quickly and with no fuss. The restaurant even rang us in advance to explain gluten free options which was much appreciated. The food was very tasty and good sized portions. Plenty of options. A very pleasant experience in a quiet street away from the tourist venues. Highly recommend.

Very tasty authentic Italian food. Had pizza and salad. The pizza is topped with a delicious, fruity tomato sauce and mozzarella and, above all, lots of basil. Baked until crispy and rolled out very thinly. Delicious . Salad dressing very much to our liking. The two waitresses were very friendly and responded to every request. The atmosphere on the terrace rounded off the mood. Come again .

Very tasty blueberry risotto To recommend

We have often been to da baggio but this time it was terribly bad. We had reserved for twelve people and the table was in the “draughty area” between the garden and the restaurant. The service was arrogant and rude and the busboy wasn't familiar with the menu. He didn't know what was on the menu and we even had to show him where the bottle for the degestive was in the restaurant. The brandy was not served to us at 4cl as described on the menu, but at 2cl in a grappa glass 🙈! Some of the food was not the standard we were used to. It was poorly seasoned and the fish with the linguine was mini, dry cubes that you had to look for. We will no longer visit this restaurant. Our complaints were responded to cheekily and impudently. We no longer have to spend our money! Definitely not recommended for larger groups. It's a shame it used to be good!

I live nearby and therefore always come to Da Baggio when I have guests over. The food is delicious (especially the pizza) and the staff is quick and friendly.

Last weekend we had dinner at Da Biaggio. The food (various starters and pizzas) was very good. Unfortunately the service was poor. In our opinion, the wine we ordered had a mistake. We asked the waiter to try it, and he responded by rolling his eyes and giving feedback that everything was fine with the wine. Instead of offering us a second bottle to try, he pointed directly to another wine. The second wine, which was definitely more expensive, was never poured for us once. The waiter (or owner - we don't know) wasn't afraid to insult our table, which we noticed when we had to go to the toilet. Although the food was very good, we definitely wouldn't eat at Da Biaggo a second time and unfortunately we can't recommend it.

The food is exceptionally good. I'm a regular because here the price and performance are right with friendly service... always.

Been here with my family and the staff was so rude and offended us because our kids were feeling uncomfortable, they were saying to each others that they couldn't wait for us to leave. When we were going they started to laugh and making scenes in there :"they forgot we could see them by the window Never seen this kind of behaviour in any restaurant

Pizza is something more original in Italian style. Tasty

My boyfriend and I ordered two first courses. Gnocchi alla Sorrentina were very floury, the consistency was not pleasant. The sauce was simple sauce and 3 small mozzarella placed on top. Nothing to do with real Sorrento gnocchi. The salmon tagliatelle had no flavour. Ideal restaurant for those who don't know real Italian cuisine. For everyone else I don't recommend it at all.

I am a frequent guest here. Great Italian restaurant, with a beautiful courtyard and very good cuisine. Whether as a couple, with children or as a group, highly recommended. Parking alone can be difficult at times.

There were 4 of us eating. The welcome was super friendly, the menu is very varied and in our opinion offers a choice for everyone. As a starter we had bruchetta which was delicious and for the price 5 pieces were absolutely justified. The risotto portion and the salad were not justified in terms of price/performance ratio and were rather poor. The pizza was large, but some didn't have a lot of toppings (Parma very good, Gorgonzola poor). Basically we would recommend the restaurant. The service was always on site, very courteous and friendly.

Great, very friendly service. Attentive. We had antipasti Mediterranean, chestnut soup, risotto milanese and grilled pulpo. Terrific. Very tasty.

We were there as a fairly large group and despite this, our drinks and food were received and prepared very quickly. The pizzas were very tasty, generously topped and with a fluffy edge - I really enjoyed them 👍🏼 What bothered many people, however, were the rather blurry knives; They were simply too blunt to cut the pizza. The atmosphere was cozy for a group dinner and the waiters were professional despite our large group and were able to keep an overview.

Perfect starter, risotto a bit watery and neutral tasting, fish cooked to perfection, wrong dessert. Annoyed, lecturing male waitress who only listed a Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio or Riesling as an open companion. Inquiries about the winery, vintage and description were answered harshly and unhelpfully. Two other female service staff, however, were friendly and helpful. Mixed evening.

Delicious food but it would be great if the pick up service was improved. If you order pizza over the phone, you will be given a pickup time, but the pizza will be ready much earlier and will then simply be left at the checkout in the restaurant without being kept warm. In other words, you arrive on time for pickup and then take a lukewarm pizza home with you...

I can recommend very good service and delicious bruschetta

Had two unpleasant experiences recently in the dabaggio: 1) at lunchtime, the waiter was very pushy, wanted to talk us into soup and salad and also coffee and dessert at the end, even though we asked for the bill straight after the main course. Very pushy and you constantly felt on the defensive. 2) ordered pizza to go on another evening, and then made a big surprise when paying: I paid €36 for two limp vegetable pizzas - outside the house, mind you. Laughable. A few years ago I liked the food better and the prices were still reasonable. Luckily there is a great alternative 300 m away, you won't see us here anymore.

The food was excellent and the female waiter was also very nice. However, the idea of ​​service could be explained a little more clearly to the male waiter. Saying they don't have time when ordering doesn't exactly leave the guest feeling relaxed and comfortable. The prices certainly include a third service person for the entire restaurant and then no one would have to be rude to the guests because they were overloaded. It's a shame, very good cuisine that is not even remotely valued by the service itself and thus ruins the overall experience for the guest. By the way: If the gentleman from the service is reading this: maybe I'm old-fashioned, but a thank you for a tip doesn't hurt anyone and is simply appropriate.
