Da Baggio in Heidelberg

War wirklich lecker. Wir hatten den Wolfsbarsch mit Butter-Tagliatelle und die Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten, dazu jeder ein Glas Montepulciano. Der Wein war sehr gut, perfekte Trinktemperatur (ist ja heute leider auch nicht mehr selbstverständlich). Die Butter-Tagliatelle hätten mehr sein können, die Portion war insgesamt etwas klein und der Wolfsbarsch hatte leider einige Gräten - daher einen Punkt Abzug. Die Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten waren on point 🙏 Danke für den gemütlichen Abend!

The bruschetta was delicious, as was the carpaccio. The chicken and soy salad was truly delicious. The service was good and friendly. In short, a must-try if you're in Heidelberg.

Good Italian restaurant. The quatro fromagi was good the bufalino (tomato, basilicum (8/10) and buffalo mozzarella was okay (6/10). The desserts were nice. The dough of the pizza is not the greatest but is okay.

Very good food and excellent service. Outdoor seating is also available. Everything is clean and the atmosphere is simple. We had a bruschetta pizza for starters, followed by a delicious gnocchi dish. We finished with espresso and cappuccino. I'd love to come back!

Da Baggio is a bit off the beaten track from the old town, but it's worth the trip. The garden seating is cozy. The food (1 pizza, 1 risotto) was twice as delicious thanks to the friendly service. We'll be back!

Es galt eine Gastro-Lücke in der Weststadt endlich zu schließen! Die vielen positiven Kommentare riefen ja nur so danach! Also Anfang Juno einen 2er-Tisch dort reserviert und unsere üblichen "Test-Essen" geordert: - Vitello Tonnato - Pizza Quatro Formaggi - Salmone alla Griglia Leider war es uns nicht möglich den Geschmack der Gerichte zu erraten, es war alles komplett/hoffnungslos versalzen!! Selbst mein Tischnachbar - der sonst gerne mal nachsalzt! - meinte nur: " mehr Salz wäre jetzt wirklich nicht nötig gewesen!" Insbesondere konnte ich nicht verstehen wie man einen Lachs dergestalt ("à la Salzmine") verhunzen kann ... Der Service war durchweg freundlich, aber wohl nicht auf Schiene des Lokals! Er meinte nur: "Wenden Sie sich bitte an den Chef des Tages!" Der kam auch zufällig vorbei und konnte unsere Kommentare überhaupt nicht verstehen: "Bis jetzt waren immer alle Gäste zufrieden!" ... Ok, das Lokal hat wohl seine salzgewöhnte Kundschaft, möge es damit glücklich werden! Ich jedenfalls nicht! Immerhin: der Chef des Tages spendierte uns 2 kleine Wasser zum herunterspülen des übermäßigen Salzgehalts ... Ich empfehle diesen Umstand beim nächsten Besuch ggfs. zu berücksichtigen. Ernest

Good selection of food and drinks, and good quality. We had a very pleasant evening and would gladly come back.

I was there three days ago and ate the daily special: tagliatelle with avocado, cherry tomatoes, and Parmesan. The portion was very small, more like an appetizer—half of a regular portion. It cost just under €20.00—I found that unreasonable, not to mention outrageous. I told the waiter, and he said he and the kitchen couldn't change it; it was a top-down decision.

Really nice food and good service! Dishes came very hot and fresh. Loved the flavour in the beef-lemon risotto!

Ten of us were here today, and Lara served us very friendly, quickly, and professionally. Everything was perfect, and the atmosphere was very cozy. I even requested a dish that wasn't on the menu, and my request was accommodated without any problems. Absolutely top-notch! Highly recommended. 👍🏼

It was really busy and we had just arrived in Heidelberg on a Saturday night. We were Lucky enough to get the last table for two people. The service was so friendly and so nice and the food was really really amazing. Thanks so much that we got a table!

We ordered linguine with asparagus from the daily special. The portions were as small as an appetizer, and there wasn't even a whole asparagus in the meal. The prices aren't justified. If I'm paying €20 for a pasta dish, I want to get something appropriate. There was no pancetta bacon in the pasta as advertised, but just regular diced bacon. High-priced restaurant where quality is lacking. We were very disappointed.

Food and waiting time were very good, we waited about 10 minutes. Service is bad, no one has a dish or forgot the cutlery. You can't pay with a card at the table, you have to go to the bar at the entrance

I came to spend a few days in Heidelberg and have been falling in love with everything: the nature, the architecture, and the wonderful gastronomy. That’s why, trusting the good reviews, I made a reservation at this restaurant hoping for a special evening to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be quite the opposite. We started with a small skewer appetizer and ordered pizzas, which took over 40 minutes to arrive. That might be understandable in a busy restaurant... but the place wasn’t even full. On top of that, the table next to us was extremely loud, making it hard to enjoy the atmosphere. When the pizzas finally arrived, we found a piece of aluminum in my girlfriend’s pizza. We informed the staff, but they didn’t seem to care we didn’t even receive an apology. I had clearly mentioned in the reservation that it was a birthday celebration, hoping for at least a small gesture, but it was evident that no one had read the note or paid attention to it. And to top it all off, the waitress had the audacity to act arrogantly when it came time to pay. I honestly don’t understand why we were the only ones who had such a disappointing experience that night. We were treated poorly for no reason at all. Heidelberg is full of beautiful spots and charming restaurants. Don’t waste your time at this one there are much better options.

Todo bien aquí en este restaurante familiar, con un servicio perfecto. La ensalada de mariscos estaba muy bien presentado y el risotto milanés estaba en su punto también.

Were there in a larger group. Unfortunately, the service staff was very unfriendly. We were really rushed to order. After we finished eating we were ignored. When I asked if you could still get an espresso at 4 p.m., the coffee machine was being cleaned - with continuous opening hours. Food was ok.

Bereits 2 mal da gewesen. Nicht billig, jedoch sehr gute Qualität. Nur Kellerbier vom Faß schmeckte oxydiert, was bei Pils vom Fass nicht der Fall war. Offener Rotwein gut. Tageskarte an den Wänden mehrfach vorhanden & auch in der Karte drinnen. Normale Portionen. Innen chick,."Echter" Italiener. Unbedingt reservieren (ausser zu zweit/dritt am Sonntag abend ausserhab der Saison). Gute Strassenbahnanbindung zum Hbf (2 Stationen) und in die Altstadt. Durchgehend Küche.

Ein fantastisches Restaurant. Ein sehr tolles, freundliches, kompetentes und junges Serviceteam. Und das Essen ist unglaublich gut und auch einfallsreich. Die Rotebeete-Ziegenkäse-Lasagne war ein Traum, der gegrillte Oktopus so gut und auch die Pizza einfach genial. Eine Empfehlung aus vollstem Herzen!

The “winter garden” is more of a loud, stuffy hall with no atmosphere. Given the high prices, you expect a lot more - both in terms of the ambience and the quality of the food. Price-performance doesn't fit here.

The service was very nice. Unfortunately the food was inedible. Our appetizer platter was sparse and the catpaccion was brown in color instead of red. Something like that doesn't belong on any table. The lasagna with wild boar was ok. The salad is also inedible. A bunch of lettuce leaves that looked completely stale and the avocado was also not edible. In the reservation platform I was shown a great picture of a table by the window with a great view. I paid 12 euros for this. But the restaurant only has a view of the tram. I call this a rip-off and should be removed from the reservation platform immediately. Either you have a great view and offer something like that, or you don't. Just not worth the money.

Location and service are very good. The drinks were great. Unfortunately the food was too spicy. We were compensated with a drink. That was very nice.

Very good food and extremely friendly staff. Until the moment the manager entered the restaurant. You noticed the tension immediately. What I personally found completely wrong was that he loudly criticized his staff in the presence of the guests for everything they supposedly hadn't done. Hence the points deduction for service. From my point of view, his appearance was just embarrassing.

Always delicious, even if the prices are slightly above average. The dishes on the daily menu are often very creative and quite reasonably priced. The pizzas are delicious and with fresh mushrooms, the pasta dishes are not the standard ones such as cream / peas / ham but also sometimes with chard or fresh truffles (if desired with an additional charge). I can only recommend it. The service is really friendly and accommodating. Card payment is possible, parking spaces are in short supply in the western part of the city or if you have the courage to leave a gap, there are parking spaces for residents (you get the idea). Alternatively, you just walk a few meters (parking spaces at the district court or something like that). One of my top recommendations in Heidelberg.

We have been coming to Heidelberg once a year with a larger group for several years. There is no alternative for us! We always go to Da Baggio for dinner. No matter how large our group is (approx. 40 people), we are always warmly welcomed. The service is great - never overwhelmed, we never have to wait long. The food is super delicious! Absolute recommendation!!!!!

Es war ein schönes Mittagessen mit 2 lieben Freundinnen ! Es war alles lecker ! Leider war der Espresso nicht italienisch, lauwarm , kein Geschmack und leider keine Crema. Service sehr zuvorkommend und flexibel ! Die Gemütlichkeit hat uns dazu bewogen eine 2.Flasche Wein zu bestellen.

Great New Year's Eve menu with very tasty wine. Pleasant atmosphere, just the right service. We had a relaxing start to New Year's Eve here and can't really complain. All of the dishes taste really excellent, although certainly not suitable to satisfy an enormous hunger. We can still fully recommend Da Baggio to spend a nice evening there.

Best tagliatelle with truffle eaten!

Zum Sylvester-Essen in einer größeren Gruppe mit Freunden und Kindern mit Reservierung zu Gast in diesem netten italienischen Restaurant gewesen. Essen kam schnell, die im Rahmen des Sylvestermenüs angebotenen Speisen waren durchweg sehr gut. Schön angerichtet und preislich im Rahmen. Die Bedienung fix und gut gelaunt, die Nachfrage ob es für die jüngeren Erwachsenen eine Möglichkeit gibt eine Pizza zu bekommen wurde nach kurzer Rücksprache bejaht. Uns hat es Gefallen!

Fantastisches Essen und eine sehr nette Bedienung. Es gab gutes Wild Fleisch, und super Pasta mit Parmesan und Trüffel.

There were five of us in the restaurant yesterday. Unfortunately, due to the traffic situation, we arrived 15 minutes later than we had actually reserved. We were initially insulted, which is why I would love to leave the store again! But okay, we still gave them the “chance”. So neither the food nor the service was impressive. Even if I were starving, I wouldn't go in there again. Friendliness should be very important in a restaurant. It's a shame about the money we left behind.

Nice rooms, good food, at a good price. The service was nice. For 5 stars, that certain extra is missing in all areas. I would recommend the restaurant to everyone. I had a tagliatelle with pistachio pesto and truffles. My colleague had the seafood spaghetti. These two dishes can be seen in the pictures. The location in the western part of town made it nice to take a walk afterwards. A reservation in advance could be important. We were there a little earlier than usual so we didn't need a reservation. Events also seem to be possible there.

Outstanding service, incredibly delicious food! At the end of our company trip to Heidelberg we chose Da Baggio for our dinner and made the absolute best decision! The team around Valeria, Johanna, Franziska and Jannis as well as the kitchen completely convinced us and the food was really excellent (we tried 9 different main courses and desserts). Particularly noteworthy is Franziska, whose open, communicative nature ensured that we will remember this dinner for a long time! When we are in Heidelberg we would love to come back!

An absolutely amazing restaurant! From the service to the food you will not find a better place in Heidelberg. The portions are a perfect size to leave you satisfied and not too full. The targetelli tossed in the Parmesan wheel topped with truffles is an absolute must have! We then got recommended an amazing local white wine that made us just want to sit and enjoy that moment. This is the restaurant that you go out of your way to be at! Even has a kids corner with books which our kids really enjoyed after they were done eating.

The gnocchi in the restaurant were good – nice and tender and with a delicious sauce. Not outstanding, but definitely satisfactory. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. Overall, a solid dish that I'm sure you can enjoy again, but it didn't completely blow me away.

The truth is that we didn't expect that we would like dinner so much. The incredible Capresse rissoto and the Tagliatelle with pistachio pesto were AMAZING. They also have a huge cheese where they put the pasta to make sauce. Really 10/10

I always get pizza to pick up here. In short: TOP PIZZA!!!!! I can't judge the rest from the food. 1 star deduction for service because I'm always there on time but the pizza isn't ready yet. You can still optimize here, but you can also wait 10 minutes. ALWAYS find it DELICIOUS here. :)

The food is very good, I would say the best Italian in the region. Unfortunately, the portion size of the noodles does not match the price. It could be €2 more expensive, but the quantity just isn't right. Even with a starter, only the pizzas will really fill you up... The selection of drinks is quite good, but not cheap either. Plus you either need sharper knives, or you have to bring the pizzas cut (even if that's not quite as elegant), so it's a pretty nice arm workout ;)

We were there for lunch with 7 people. 6 of us had the lunch menu. Super tasty, large portion. 1 of us wanted a vegan dish. Wasn't a problem either. The staff was quick and attentive. All in all 👍.

If you like a slap of dough with minimal toppings and a load of sugar, take the pizza Bianca. If not, go somewhere else.

We went to Da Baggio as part of a school trip! Since we were a very large group, it is of course always a challenge for the staff, especially when there are many extra requests and reorders! However, everything went smoothly from start to finish and the staff were always friendly and helpful and in a good mood! However, we don't think the price-performance ratio is necessarily right for every dish! Pasta was way too overpriced and the pizzas had just enough toppings!

Wow. Simply really good. We were greeted very nicely and were given a table without a reservation. Had a lovely evening with a great atmosphere and really good food. The day menu presented us with a challenge as everything sounded so good. Nevertheless, we managed to decide 😉

If you always have to make a reservation in a restaurant, you can safely take that as a very good sign. Da Baggio and his team have become the “Italians we trust”. Excellent fish dishes and seafood: Branzino! Pulpo! great risotto. Great veal schnitzel etc. Every now and then something new on the changing menu. But the pizzas are also great! Beautiful selected wines. You can safely go there. In summer: great terrace - but also very cozy inside!
