We spent three days in Bansin and stumbled upon this small but excellent fish restaurant by chance on our last evening. We hadn't made a reservation, but the staff was incredibly friendly and easily found a table for two frozen Saxons. The food (fish) was fantastic – a huge compliment to the chef! The wine was also excellent, and kudos to whoever sourced it. The prices were reasonable by today's standards; such delicious, handcrafted food certainly has its value. Many thanks again to the Fischkopp team and best regards from Saxony.

We were hungry, my wife wanted a fish platter. We peeked inside "Fischkopp" and went in. The staff gave us a warm welcome. We were given a table with a view of the kitchen. Our drinks and food orders were taken in no time. We could see it being prepared right before our eyes. Everything was perfect. Before we leave, we'll order another fish platter and a schnitzel. Food like in the old days! That's our opinion, and we stand by it.

The food was perfect; we had the five appetizers and the premium fish platter. The staff was very friendly, and we felt very comfortable in the beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommended.

A truly wonderful meal – fantastic cuisine with attention to detail. Even the amuse-bouche – dark rye bread with lard – was a delightful start, rustic and perfectly suited to the restaurant's regional character. The Pomeranian fish cream soup impressed with its excellent, finely tuned flavor and well-balanced seasoning. The only minor criticism: it could have been served a touch hotter. The main course of pike-perch and perch on potato pancakes was outstanding. The pike-perch was perfectly cooked, the perch exceptionally flavorful – both wonderfully fresh. The accompanying salad was crisp, the dressing perfectly balanced, and the lobster sauce a delightful, refined complement. The rump steak with fries also left nothing to be desired: ordered medium, served medium – cooked to perfection! The meat was succulent and well-seasoned, and the fries were crispy, beautifully seasoned, and simply delicious. The salad was another highlight – fresh, aromatic, with a light, well-rounded dressing. The fish au four was a true culinary delight: the fish was wonderfully tender, topped with a rich layer of cheese – substantial, yet incredibly delicious. A combination that works surprisingly well. And once again, the excellent fries served alongside. Overall, a thoroughly positive experience – from the quality of the ingredients to the preparation and the perfect combination of side dishes. A kitchen that works with heart and soul. Highly recommended!

A very nice meal. TV chefs would say of the fish: "...cooked to perfection." In any case, the taste was excellent. The service was very friendly. We'd be happy to go back! And we did it again. And again, everything was excellent. You should make a reservation in advance, though. Unfortunately, during our visit, the waiter had to fob off spontaneous visitors too often, saying there was no room.

Two of us went there on a Sunday with our child and made a reservation in advance. There's a special children's menu with extremely reasonable prices. The fish dishes are extensive. We had the house special, floder in potato pancakes and zander with a herb crust. Both were super fresh and delicious. A rustic, family-friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We spent a week on Usedom at the beginning of September, and this was without a doubt the best restaurant in Bansin. We were there three evenings. The food is simply delicious, and the value for money is excellent compared to other restaurants on the island. The quality of the food is top-notch. We tried six different dishes, including the fantastic fish platter. The lobster sauce and potato pancakes are particularly noteworthy. The service was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic.

Without knowing the exact schedule, we booked a table two days in advance. We were immediately told that we could have a table for 5 p.m., but that the table was already reserved again at 6:30 p.m. For us, as fast eaters, this shouldn't be a problem. Several other guests also arrived at 5 p.m. Then our orders were taken, and the kitchen, which is open to view, got started. Interesting concept. Unfortunately, we were the last to get our food – at 6 p.m. So, we had to devour the food within the remaining 30 minutes and, at the waitress's request, pay immediately and leave. No nightcap, no dessert. Pure stress. The food was okay, but in my opinion, not worth the price. Of course, that's a matter of opinion, but the average price of €33 for food + drinks per person is well above the usual prices in Bansin. If you're lucky with the kitchen lottery, you can have a relaxed meal there, but if you want to eat and chat in a relaxed manner, you should look for one of the other restaurants nearby.

It was actually a chance discovery: We were just looking for a shady spot for a break. But then we liked the menu and the ambiance so much that we spontaneously reserved a table for two days later. And it was worth it. The restaurant immediately ranked first among all the restaurants we've visited so far. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, I can't share all the great reviews! We also had a table by the open kitchen! But you'll probably want to leave without eating anything afterward! I had cod on spinach leaves! It was a thawed mess and had been heated in the microwave! The fish was okay! The price/performance ratio wasn't right! We were very disappointed and definitely won't be back!

Very tasty dishes in a rustic atmosphere - insider tip!

It's difficult to get a reservation. So we were happy that we still got a table for two, as a couple had canceled. When we got there, we were seated at table 1. Right next to the chef. Only a Plexiglas panel separated us. The seat was sticky with grease, and so was the table. I complained, and then we were moved to a table a little further away. It was okay. Then we ordered our food, and it was truly a feast for the palate. That saved the evening. The food gets 5 points from us. Unfortunately, the service and ambience only get 2 points. What a shame.

Very tasty and freshly prepared (they also serve small portions). The service is also excellent. We were served by a nice young man wearing a hat ;) The fish head is HIGHLY recommended, but be sure to make a reservation in advance.

We hadn't actually reserved a table, and the restaurant was already packed and fully booked – but the four of us still managed to get a seat. The staff was super friendly and attentive to our needs despite the restaurant being packed. The food was outstanding, truly delicious, and prepared with love. We also particularly liked the fact that you can look into the kitchen from the dining area – it creates a wonderful atmosphere, and you can see how freshly cooked the food is. Conclusion: Absolutely fantastic, we'll definitely be back! Highly recommended.

Today, on the last evening of our vacation, we wanted to go out for some really delicious fish and, thanks to the Google reviews, we ended up at "Fischkopp." It was almost impossible to get a table, so it's always best to make a reservation! We felt very comfortable in the restaurant, which matched the atmosphere and the menu. Children's plates range from €3-5, which is a no-brainer. The fish selection was extensive, the service friendly, and the food came quickly. All in all, a successful evening. The only drawback: the portion size could have been larger after a day at the beach and being really hungry ;-)

Our visit in April 2025 – a culinary highlight in the seaside resort of Bansin… During our vacation on Usedom in April 2025, we discovered this wonderful restaurant – and were so impressed that we went there two evenings in a row. On the first evening, we were seated immediately without a reservation, despite the busy and almost fully booked tables. We then made a reservation for the second evening as a precaution – and it was a good decision! On both evenings, we were greeted by extremely friendly and attentive service. The food was simply fantastic – fresh, creative, and prepared with love. The ambiance is cozy and lovingly designed, making you feel at home from the very first moment. What's particularly nice: some tables offer a direct view into the kitchen. It's a real joy to watch the chefs prepare the food – it increases the anticipation of the meal even more! My personal highlight was the zander and perch fillets fried with black tiger prawns on crispy potato pancakes and lobster sauce. And the potato pancakes with salmon, and the lobster sauce especially for me – simply heavenly! The "Fischergeist" is also highly recommended – a delicious schnapps with character. The "Fünf-Happen-Teller" (five bite platter) offers a great selection of fish and is perfect as an appetizer for two. And the 11° fish wine was the ideal accompaniment to our dishes. If you're in Bansin, you shouldn't miss this restaurant. An absolute recommendation – you'll be thoroughly pampered with culinary delights!

Reservations are essential for dinner, otherwise you can only hope that someone cancels their reservation at short notice or doesn't show up – reserved tables are given away after five minutes.
