Even though everything was reserved, the four of us managed to get space and food. Even the dog was allowed in. We asked first, of course. The food was good and the price was reasonable. A recommended restaurant for a quiet time. We'll definitely be back!

A nice restaurant, exceptionally friendly service, but unfortunately, the food was mediocre. The pollock was too dry for my taste, the mushroom sauce was rather bland, and the spaetzle was good. All in all, okay, but unfortunately, nothing more.

Very friendly staff, excellent and delicious food. Vegetarian dishes are also good – the fish is really great. Highly recommended – restrooms are at the same level, no steps – great for people with walking difficulties, and there's plenty of space for people in wheelchairs.

This restaurant is a MUST-visit if you're within a 30-40-minute drive. We received superb service, the food was fantastic, and the decor was great. My brother and I had "Ebbe und Flut" (low tide). Plaice, cod, North Sea crab, and fried potatoes. A poem. The restaurant is very popular, so it's best to make a reservation.

We ate at the Fischerstuben today, and it was delicious. The staff were a bit overwhelmed because there were so many guests. After a short while, a young man came out of the kitchen and quickly got everything under control. According to my research, it was probably the chef. He seemed very confident. My respect. Keep it up.👍

The menu is straightforward, favoring fresh ingredients. It's also ideal for allergy sufferers, as their needs are catered for. Reservations are advisable, especially on weekend evenings. The food is of good quality and very tasty (which is subjective). I thought it was very good. The service is very attentive. The ambiance is fitting for the name, but not too rustic, so it doesn't overwhelm you. I liked it a lot. The value for money is reasonable, both in terms of quality and quantity. Maintaining this level of quality over the years is very good. We'll be back. Definitely recommend it.👍

The only small improvement I could make with the food would be a bit more seasoning, but that's a matter of taste, of course; the portions were very generous. A lovely East Frisian restaurant in Bensersiel👍 I've been there several times; they have lots of fish dishes, but also steak, and a nice draught Jever beer to go with it 👍 👌 that's bearable ;-) The service is very friendly from everyone there, and the occasional chef even shows up; it's very nice there... The food is always ready quickly and is super delicious 😋 and my special requests are always fulfilled... I really don't understand some of the negative reviews here... Everyone at the Fischerstuben is very nice and friendly, I enjoy eating there... 👍 A lovely, not-too-big, cozy restaurant where it's easy to sit and relax... I'd happily go back again...

Great service and a great atmosphere, but unfortunately, the food didn't impress us. The fried potatoes were too hard, and the portions were very modest. We also found the presentation of the plate to be lacking in love. Potatoes plus fish, that's it. Not a single tomato slice or cucumber slice as decoration, absolutely nothing. You eat with your eyes.

We've finished another vacation in Bensersiel and ended the day with dinner at the Fischerstuben every evening. We can only say it's like coming home every time. The food is worth every cent, impeccable in quality, and very delicious. You can tell the restaurant is run with dedication. The service team is always there for the guests and is very friendly and attentive. Thanks to the entire team and the Schwindtke family for the wonderful time! Regarding the few negative reviews, I can only say that if you're dissatisfied, it helps to talk to the service team. I've never experienced a guest being denied a request. A truly wonderful restaurant visit with my husband and two children. The service was very pleasant and friendly. The food arrived after a short wait and was absolutely delicious. At €25/€26 per meal, it wasn't the cheapest, but quality comes at a price, and it's worth it.

Overwhelm has a name. Pure hecticness. The waiter not only has no sense of humor, but also manages to serve the aperitif with the main course. The food only partially met moderate quality standards. The fried potatoes weren't fried potatoes, but rather deep-fried convenience foods.

The food was delicious and the service very friendly. We'd be happy to come back.

Twice a year, I visit my mother's old hometown, where she was buried here with my father in Esens. We always take this opportunity to stop by the beach, where I used to spend time as a child with my grandparents and parents. After the trip, the fresh air naturally made us hungry, so we decided to stop at the Fischerstuben restaurant. My wife had Labskaus (pork fillet with mushroom cream sauce) and spaetzle (noodles). After about 15 minutes, the food arrived, and we were thrilled again. The pork fillet was tender, the sauce excellent, and the noodles were just the way I liked them. My wife was thrilled with her meal, which was evident from the fact that her plate was completely empty. We would have happily eaten the same portion again, which was also quite plentiful, but only for taste reasons. I would also like to mention the impeccable service and the friendliness of the staff who served us. This was definitely our last visit to the Fischerstuben restaurant, and we're already looking forward to it.

We dined here quite spontaneously on Sunday evening. After I called, the last table was reserved for us at short notice. The restaurant is busy, so reservations are recommended. My plaice was delicious and the crème brûlée excellent. The service was very friendly and prompt.

Wir haben ein gutes Fischresraurant in Bensersiel gesucht und gefunden. Das Schollenfilet war hervorragend, die Fischstäbchen von der Kinderkarte waren selbst gemacht und ebenfalls super lecker. Wir wurden sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend sowie schnell bedient und kommen gern wieder.

First of all: what some people are writing here as "criticism" is enough to give you eye cancer. The two of us had lunch together; we didn't tamper with tables or knock over glasses. We simply ATE. The food was delicious, and the service was very friendly and attentive.

This is our first time in Bensersiel. After a wonderful day and just wanting to have two or three drinks, we were very "friendly" told that we needed a table right away because dinner was about to start, as we hadn't ordered any food. It was only 4:45 p.m., and more than two-thirds of the outside area was empty. After we politely asked for the bill, we were only offered cash. The next table, of course, accepted a card, since people were eating there. After I asked if I could pay by card, I was asked if I hadn't understood the question, that I should pay in cash. "Very friendly"! I paid by card, of course, and will not visit this restaurant again. No tip, of course. I would gladly return.

The food was generally very tasty and served quickly and hot. However, the portion sizes are manageable, more suited to a senior citizen's plate. The number of crabs in the Finkenwerder-style plaice was far too small. Instead, the dish was complemented with a celery and carrot salad (which doesn't really belong there!). The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We've been coming here regularly for over 20 years. Great fish dishes and a pleasant atmosphere ensure that it will continue to be that way.

A spontaneous visit brought us to this fish restaurant, looking for a delicious lunch. The staff is very friendly, and the food was by far the most delicious. We had plaice with fried potatoes, vegetables, bacon, crab, and garlic dip, fried fish with fried potatoes, and cheese schnitzel with creamed mushrooms, vegetables, and spaetzle. Everyone loved it. To finish, we had creme brulee with eggnog and amaretto and chocolate mousse. I wasn't a fan of creme brulee, but now it has me, it was that good! We'll be back in a few days; it was incredibly good! The restrooms are clean.

There were four of us in the Fischerstuben today. We were greeted very friendly and served in a very friendly and attentive manner throughout the evening. The food was absolutely excellent. We had herring, fried fish, pasta casserole, salad and crab soup. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back. The restaurant also has a nice atmosphere. The fish sandwiches during the day at the stall next door are also recommended. Really delicious.

Visit on 04/24/25. 3 dishes were ordered. Two of them were just like that. The plaice was drowned in oil. The potatoes were from the day before. Or the day before. The potatoes were harder on the sides and simply inedible. The fried fish actually only had a batter coating. There wasn't much fish to be seen. Service was good. Everything happened quickly. But that was it.

Excellent food and very attentive and friendly service. We visit the Fischerstuben every time we are here and are happy to recommend them to our guests. The homemade fish fingers with mashed potatoes are particularly recommended for children. Our children love it. The fish dishes are cooked to perfection and are presented very attractively. Taste excellent.

I had by far the tastiest pasta dish (king prawns) in a very long time. The service was very accommodating and I can definitely recommend this restaurant.

The fish was good, fried potatoes were not. Simply fried and without spices. Portions small. There is hardly any salad dressing and it tastes like nothing. No lemon on the fish. The problem has already been described in the reviews. The answer that it is just decoration and will end up in the trash anyway is unacceptable. A lemon is simply part of it. Apart from the fact that we actually use lemon on fish, there is nothing wrong with a decorative disc. For the rather miserable price/performance ratio, at least a lemon would have been included. Also more salad. We went out hungry.

Wir waren in unserer Urlaubswoche gleich zweimal hier zum Essen. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal, schönes Ambiente und super leckeres Essen. Der Fisch war auf den Punkt gegart, leckeres und frisches Gemüse und die besten Bratkartoffeln. Kein Fett tropfte von diesen. Man muss sie unbedingt einmal probieren. Man kann alle Speisen unproblematisch abändern, da alles frisch zubereitet wird. Und bekommt freundliche und gute Empfehlungen.

I didn't like the plaice. The bacon wasn't fried and the raw vegetable salad on the plaice wasn't to my taste either. I had imagined something different.

There are positives and negatives. First the positive points: The food was good and reasonably priced. We were served friendly. Now for the negative points: We had reserved a table for 5 people. When making the reservation we had requested 7 p.m., at the restaurant's request we had reserved for 6:45 p.m. When we got there on time we were asked to wait outside for another 10 minutes. Not a problem per se, but the 10 minutes turned into 20 minutes. Then the 5 of us were seated at a table for 4 people. So there was one person sitting on the corner! I assume that they forgot our reservation or gave the table twice. I would have liked the restaurant to accommodate us in some way. That didn't happen; they even charged 50 cents for every single portion of ketchup.

We had reserved for two and were able to get the card straight away. Drinks were served quickly and the order was taken. The service is quick and courteous. The food came quickly - we both had the fish with mustard sauce and fried potatoes. The portion was right, not too little, just right. We can only recommend the restaurant.

The food was good, but the portions were manageable. But the schnitzel was said to be great. For us, with rather lively children, it wasn't necessarily a place where we would stay for a long time...we had the feeling that we were "disturbing" other guests.

Fried fish 2 parts, one of which was fried so thin and dry. Waiter informed, didn't respond. That's not how you treat guests. You can ask yourself whether these are gastronomy experts...
