It's 2025 and they still don't accept card payments. An absolute “no go” for me Customer friendliness looks different to me.

It's a self-service restaurant, but everything is great. The food tastes very good and you get the food very quickly. The portions are large and the prices are normal.

Very tasty dishes. Were there two evenings in a row. If the weather is good, you can sit in the garden and the children can play on the lawn with the climbing tower/slide and the swing while you wait. Price performance great. All dishes were freshly prepared in the open kitchen. And picking up drinks and food is no problem for us either. The only downside is that you can only pay in cash.

Very nice of you! Unfortunately for me there are only fries and potato pancakes to choose from. It tastes very tasty, but there is little vegan offering. Unfortunately, fried potatoes always come with bacon. The potato salad always with mayo. I like eating out, and in Bensersiel there is unfortunately little offering of plant-based dishes. I would definitely be happy about some vegan fish fingers or vegan nuggets or plant-based mayo. :-)

By far the best price-performance ratio in Bensersiel. Everything is freshly prepared and tastes great. It's self-service, so you get your own food and drinks, but it tastes great and the prices are still reasonable. Both for drinks and food. Example: 2 rolls of fried fish and 2 fish cakes €8. And freshly prepared too. The fish plates with fried potatoes and fish fillets were also great.

I ate there today with my children and for about an hour after eating we have been suffering from stomach cramps and have severe diarrhea. Since we didn't eat anything else, unfortunately it could only be the food there. :(

Here, a self-service counter offers various dishes to eat on site or to take away. You can sit both inside and outside. No card payment. Dogs are allowed outside. Food was good and plentiful

We came across the restaurant by chance. It looks a bit older from the outside, but the food is great and the staff are very friendly. You order at the counter and are given a number. When your food is ready, your number is called and you pick it up. But it's not a fast food restaurant!!!! Everything is freshly prepared.

Fish is very good, as is now usual on the North Sea with self-service. Of course, this puts a damper on service and causes a lot of unrest because people are constantly getting up and walking back and forth in the pretty garden.

After a long time we visited Fish and Sea again. We enjoyed redfish with homemade potato salad and the fitness plate with pollack and redfish fillet. It tasted excellent. The fillets are mottled and fried in the pan, the potato salad is really homemade and the salad is colorful and crunchy. Very friendly service and fair prices. We can only recommend it.

Where the 5 star reviews come from is a mystery to me. The “restaurant” reminds me more of a chip shop. You can't really call it cooking - in my opinion - because the only cooking appliances I saw were deep fryers. Unfortunately not my case.

First-class offer of fresh fish. We were there 3 times within 1 week. You have to pick up your own food but that was fine. Arriving early, between 5 p.m. and 1/2 p.m., ensures good seats. Otherwise it is very crowded and you have to wait in line for a long time. Very popular, tasty and fresh. We can recommend without reservations. We'd love to come back.

The dishes are varied and are freshly prepared. For us, “Fisch und Meer” is the epitome of North German hospitality and culinary enjoyment. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Absolute recommendation. The young man at the checkout is always in a good mood and the young woman who freshly prepares the fish on the grill is awesome.

Small, but sufficient playground with a swing for a quickie, it is usually well attended 👨‍👩‍👦 The menu offers some selection. Aside from that. Are daily dishes written down? The potato pancakes are something different for the children here in the north and we really liked the fish soup. Not gourmet food - classically breaded and baked. A clear satiety recommendation also due to the price-performance ratio.

It was our first time there and we decided to go because of the positive reviews. The overall impression confirmed this. The dish of the day and the salmon were very tasty. The fried potatoes were fresh and the way you like to eat them, crispy and fried with bacon and onions. Otherwise there is a wide selection on the menu, where everyone should find something for themselves. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The self-service concept didn't bother us at all. The terrace also offers shady spots. The sanitary facilities were also modern and very clean. So all in all, a full 5 points from us.
