I can only review the two takeaway fish sandwiches. The herring was good, unfortunately they didn't have fried fish, the battered fish was a pre-made product but okay. There were no napkins in the bag. The restroom was clean. Prices are good.

Unfortunately, the layout and arrangement of the tables and chairs in the dining room is so poorly chosen that only a small number of guests can fit there. Therefore, in cool weather, some visitors can't find a place inside. But that's the only reason for criticism. The selection of fish and other dishes is very good, and the quality and preparation are also excellent. All this at very fair prices and with very friendly service, which is why we enjoyed it so much and returned there many times during our vacation.

Waren schon öfter da,immer wieder sehr lecker. Waren gestern nach langer Zeit mal wieder da und sehr enttäuscht von dem geräucherten Lachs mit Reibekuchen.Der Lachs war nicht gut und die Reibekuchen so dünn wie eine Briefmarke.

We visited here several times during our mother-child retreat. The food was always delicious, whether we ate it in or took it with us. The staff was always very friendly towards our little (3-year-old) daughter, and special requests (apple puree with fries) were no problem. We found the prices reasonable and definitely cheaper than local restaurants. We highly recommend it!

Unfortunately, it's less tasty than at NORDSEE, and that's saying something. The remoulade on a fried fish sandwich is only visible with a magnifying glass; you can get more for an extra €0.80. Also, no card payments accepted, welcome to Germany 🙄

A self-service restaurant. The only thing that's self-service is that you have to pick up your food at the front counter when it's ready. I can't confirm the accusation made by some that it's frozen food. You're greeted extremely friendly and quickly. I was able to watch a nice older lady prepare the fish by breading it and then frying it, so it's nothing like frozen food. The taste of the fish was super delicious, not at all comparable to frozen food. The breading had its own flavor, as did the fish, and both came through. The accompanying garlic sauce was homemade and super delicious. The value for money was great; it was truly delicious. At the other hotspots where you can get kibbeling or fried fish, which is nothing else, the prices are absolutely overpriced, and the fish doesn't taste nearly as good. For me, it's an absolute must if you're in the area.

Very friendly, incredibly delicious, and above all, very clean. The man serving the roast was busy cleaning the whole time. We especially liked that they served regular rolls instead of the soft ones.

The food is really very good! Unfortunately, the drinks are absolutely ridiculously expensive. I think it's outrageous to charge €2.50 for a 0.2 liter of Coke or Fanta. Sometimes it's so crowded that the tables get dirty and there's no time to wipe them down.

On June 7, 2024, my wife and I went to this restaurant. We wanted to eat delicious fried fish. We usually go to the To'n Fischhus restaurant in Hooksiel. We just wanted to try something different. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The fried fish seemed very much like an industrially frozen product. Both plates contained a piece of fish that was the same shape. You don't usually get that. Since the display was fresh pollock, I would have expected it to be freshly prepared. Ultimately, it's a matter of taste, of course, but for us, fried fish belongs in beer batter anyway. Fresh preparation shouldn't be a problem, since the batter can be prepared in advance. The fries could have stayed in the fryer a little longer. They were rather soft both inside and out. On our next visit to the coast, we will go back to the harbor in Hooksiel. Then we know what we're getting.

The food was fantastic! My husband had fish and loved it. I had a delicious schnitzel as an alternative because I don't eat fish at all, and that's often difficult in a fish restaurant. Highly recommended for children too—with a small playground and a lawn for running around. We'd love to come back!

There's a large garden with some playground equipment for the kids. There's no table service here, which isn't a problem. You order and pay at the counter and are given a number. This number is then called out over the loudspeaker. Important: Cash only!

We ate there on October 19, 2021. We're not really fish fans, but the food was fantastic. The plaice is highly recommended, as is the herring. The prices were okay, and even quite affordable for this part of town. Everything was clean, and the food was flying out of the kitchen! Very fast and delicious, we'll definitely be back! July 30, 2021 We've been here again, and a few times before. It's still a top recommendation for a seaside vacation. Whether it's a delicious fried piece of fish or a fish roll, everything is delicious. The prices are quite reasonable for a restaurant up here in the north. It's always a pleasure for us as a family to come here.
