A good fish restaurant with very friendly staff...they also have dishes for people who don't like fish... We were there for a week and ate there three times...we had the potato soup with smoked salmon, the noble fish platter with fried potatoes, the baked onion rings, and a side salad...everything tasted great. The dishes arrived freshly prepared and piping hot. There wasn't a single bone in the fish (which I've had at other restaurants, and even just one bone makes me feel full). Top-notch!!! But for me personally, the salad was the highlight; I've never tasted such a delicious yogurt sauce (thanks to the entire Seewolf team for the info, you know what I mean) 😉

I think the food is good and relatively inexpensive. I had egg-coated plaice twice in a row, but it didn't come from a deep fryer. The potato salad may not have been homemade, but it was of good quality. The second time, I had boiled potatoes; remoulade is extra. For the price, the food is very good. On the third evening, I had herring with fried potatoes and beans. They were too al dente for me, but flavorful. I would recommend it.

The food is delicious and acceptable for the price. That only applies to the fish. Schnitzel comes from the deep fryer.

Delicious food and friendly service

The food is delicious, the ambience is nice, unfortunately the filling of the plates has decreased.

There's a sign outside that says "No card payments accepted." Why do people do this these days? Anyone who thinks otherwise is a scoundrel... So we didn't go into that restaurant.

The food was delicious. It's more for fish lovers, but they also serve schnitzel and "pound schnitzel." Unfortunately, your clothes stink of fish when you visit the Seewolf. The staff is very friendly and polite, it's centrally located, and there are restrooms. The gourmet fish platter is delicious, and you get three random types of fish. It has direct access to the supermarket. You don't need to reserve a table because there are always a few free tables. I recommend going in smaller groups.

We ate at Seewolf today. Unfortunately, the deep fryers are constantly running, which is why the whole place smells. The chicken schnitzel also came from the deep fryer. The place advertises fresh fish, but the redfish was anything but fresh. That was the first and last time, a shame.

We enjoyed the Finkenwerder plaice with fried potatoes. The service was friendly and quick. I'll be back for dinner again and again.

We've been regulars for over 10 years. The quality of the food has remained consistently good ever since. Unfortunately, the portion sizes have gotten smaller, and some side dishes have been eliminated entirely. Hollandaise sauce was standard in recent years. Now everything is just a little drier. Drink prices have risen dramatically. This is no longer in line with market expectations. Everything used to be better. Update 2025: The menu reads well, but the prices probably aren't. It's sad how this once beloved restaurant has changed. The value for money gets a little worse every year.

The plaice and shrimp were perfectly fried, "à point." Amazingly good value for money.

Absolutely not recommended; the food was worse than bad. Fish swimming in fat, or rather, it was something in breadcrumbs, and it was still too expensive for the food. Unfortunately, I had stomach problems the whole day afterward.

I've never had worse herring in Bensersiel than there. The sour cream was abysmally bad. There are plenty of better alternatives in town.

For us, the Seewolf was a very negative experience. The female waitress was very friendly, but the decisive factor was the older male waitress; perhaps it was the manager, I don't know. We sat outside in the sun; there were no shady spots, and next to us was a folded, closed parasol, just like at the other outdoor tables. The female representative brought us the menus, and then HE came. I asked him very politely if he could open the parasol for us because of the sun. He said NO, quite rudely and impertinently, that we should sit inside. We weren't sitting outside for nothing. Then he asked us if we already knew what we were having. My girlfriend didn't know yet. He was already leaving when I said I'd like to order drinks. He didn't like that much, as you could tell from his reaction. Reluctantly, he came back and took our drink order. I've never experienced such unfriendly, impertinent behavior. The drinks arrived, and I paid. I absolutely do not recommend it!!!!! NOT WORTH A STAR!!!!@

The fish is delicious. The ambiance could be better. The prices are good. It's always full in the evenings.

Once again very tasty food and friendly service

One star is still too many. We've never eaten such bad fish as we did at Seewolf, and that was on our North Sea vacation, unbelievable. A nondescript fish plate, supposedly different types of fish that all tasted the same and were coated in massive amounts of breadcrumbs. It came with fried potatoes from a packet, tasteless and bone-dry. You had to order salad separately. The whole thing was served very carelessly, not even a lettuce leaf or anything like that. It's not what you'd expect from a restaurant. It was more reminiscent of cafeteria food. The service was indefinable, walking around in dirty clothes. Even the supposedly reasonable price was too high for what we were served. There are definitely much better fish restaurants in the area. We won't be eating here anymore.

Since the change of ownership, this restaurant is unfortunately no longer a good one in my opinion. We were here seven years ago and it was great. So we went back especially... The place smells so strongly of grease that even after eating out, your clothes still stink of it. More like a mediocre snack bar. The fish was drowned in grease. It might have been fresh, but you couldn't tell. But at least it was well cooked. The fried potatoes were also very greasy and tasteless. The fries were OK. Why go to a restaurant and not cook at home? Exactly – you want to enjoy friendly and attentive service with good food. Both of these things left a lot to be desired here. We were very disappointed after this restaurant visit.

Friendly service, even if they seemed rather distracted. I'm not usually a seafood enthusiast, but I wanted to try it. I had the gourmet platter. Kibberling, squid rings, onion rings, baked mussels, and baked shrimp. I'm no connoisseur, but it all seemed like frozen goods; it was all fried. I thought it was okay at first, but it was just way too greasy. My colleague had a different dish, with three different fillets and a side dish, and he was satisfied.

We ate there every night during our vacation. Everything was delicious. The service was always friendly.

We stopped here during our Bensersiel vacation. We ordered herring, traditionally cooked, and plaice fillet. The service was prompt. The herring was nothing special and very uninspiring. The plaice fillet looked like a nondescript board, and the plate wasn't decorated at all. A feast for the eyes is also a feast for the eyes. Our complaint was of no interest. We decided we wouldn't be coming here again. Instead, we found an excellent restaurant just a few meters away, the Deichklause.

Our favorite fish restaurant in Bensersiel has been for years and it's a tradition that we stop there first on Good Friday when we arrive. Very nice staff, excellent food and all at a good price. This year we have been there four times within a week, always with a larger group and it is always possible for us to sit together. We are already looking forward to next year's Easter.

Very tasty fish dishes. We discovered the sea wolf by chance and came back here three days in a row because we liked it so much 😋. The service (the man of the house, probably 🤷‍♂️) could be a little friendlier. Maybe you could spice up the dishes a little with a leaf of lettuce, cucumber or tomatoes 🍅 a little color would enhance the whole thing a bit, because as we all know, the eye eats with us. We'll definitely always be happy to come back. No reservation required.

Great food, friendly and very attentive service. A visit on holiday is a must for us! Furthermore - despite inflation and higher VAT. - the price/performance ratio is still right here! Also recommended for a small snack in between.

I'm writing more because I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews! The food is very tasty - even with a small side salad, because the eye is there too! The prices can't be beat considering the quantity and freshness! Yes, it is tw. a bit tight, but tables are put together for large groups. And people with physical limitations are helped. Regarding the noise level - there are at least 80 seats in the restaurant (correct me). The waitresses work quietly, as do the chefs. The food comes in a reasonable time and a waiter has to concentrate and maybe forgets his/her permanent grin! The noise level is loud because of the guests. Most of the time it's young families with children or older guests who simply call for service across the entire restaurant or talk loudly on their cell phones! And why do you have to worry if the employees are of Chinese origin? Well, then take a look in the other restaurant kitchen doors. You hardly see our compatriots there anymore! Oh, what am I saying...we eat there almost every day and will continue to do so with great pleasure!

Wir haben dort Fischbrötchen für unterwegs mitgenommen. Diese waren sehr lecker, allerdings kostet das Nordseekrabbenbrötchen 9,5 €. Relativ teuer... schon besser und günstiger in der Umgebung gegessen. Trotzdem war es lecker und man kann dort gut was mitnehmen. Zum Restaurant können wir nichts sagen.

We were there today, had plaice - cordon bleu and cutter plaice, the salad was very fresh, the dressing was super tasty, the fries and fried potatoes were well done, the fish was fried to perfection but unfortunately we forgot the seasoning, otherwise we would have given it 5 stars. At first it sounds like you're coming into a North Sea restaurant, but unfortunately it's under an Asian flag where you find yourself in a Chinese snack bar. The food is appropriate. People it's not worth spending a euro.

We know the old Seewolf and now also the new operators. Unfortunately, this will probably become the standard in Germany that the old fur seals will die out. Anyone who looks at the legal notice knows who the operator is. Please don't misunderstand. I'm not racist. But the typical North Sea flair is gone. And the fact is, we still really liked the food. We didn't notice anything from deep fryer food, as written here. We continue to eat there.

Staff doesn't look at you when serving, ordered catfish, serious doubt whether this wasn't a panga fillet in a crispy jacket. An angry fellow customer who was dissatisfied with everything and the owner and staff shouted loudly and made this customer suffer with his complaint(s)

19€ for 2 slices of dry brown bread with 2 crabs on it, a crab soup where maybe a crab swam through... carelessly prepared and neutral in taste.... We probably won't come back.

The food here was really top notch in terms of taste and price. Everything was freshly prepared and served with love. I haven't eaten pollack fillet in a long time and the fried potatoes were good too. The service was very friendly and always attentive. All in all, highly recommended.

If you don't have to look for much on the beach and you're looking for fish, then Seewolf is the right place for you. The first thing you notice is the Chinese conditions and the Chinese chefs behind the counter and hopes for good cuisine. And what can I say, the potato salad and the remulade sauce are homemade and very tasty. Pollock and the fried fish are cooked to perfection. The gourmet plate was very good. So we come here again. Hidden restaurant, cheap and highly recommended.

We had a salad with shrimp skewers and the shrimp tasted musty and sour. And my partner is really not sensitive when it comes to food. We reported this to the waitress, who was unfriendly at the beginning, and she came back and rudely said everything was fine and, despite not eating it, charged the full price because it was really inedible. The fried fish with potato salad was ok, but the potato salad was very tasteless. The breading on the fried fish was reminiscent of the breading on the chicken at a Chinese restaurant. We don't go here anymore.

Large selection of delicious fish dishes!! The restaurant is always busy in season and has relatively affordable prices!! The service always strives to satisfy the guest!! The noise level in the restaurant is very high and the tables are very close together!! People with health restrictions really have a problem here with a wheelchair or walker!!🤔🤔 But the food is really recommended!!

The Sea Wolf is an absolute must for every gourmet! The service was excellent from start to finish - attentive, friendly and professional. The food was incredibly tasty and prepared with great attention to detail. The price-performance ratio is particularly impressive: it is rare to find such exquisite dishes at such reasonable prices. I can only warmly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit!

I have rarely visited such a bad restaurant. I had the pollack fillet with fried potatoes, the fish itself was okay, nothing special but nothing bad either. The fried potatoes were cold and also very fatty. My wife and children are not fish eaters and therefore resorted to schnitzel with fries and nuggets with fries. The plates were very dismal, the nuggets were dripping with fat, had apparently been fried a second time and were therefore inedible. The fries were cold and completely over salted. But the crowning glory was the service. The colleague who served our table felt incapable of everything. When he brought us food, he spread half of my wife's fries on the table, then started clearing the table way too early and knocked my son's apple spritzer over my pants distributed. There was a quick “sorry” and that was it. There was neither a new apple spritzer for my son, nor a price reduction because my son only had half an apple spritzer. In summary, this was a first and last visit to one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to.

A nice fish restaurant, eat well and ready quickly

Pros: The food was good. Pollock fillet/fried potatoes, fried fish/fried potatoes, matjes/fried potatoes, Kippling/French fries. Negative: Quiet, relaxed meal with enjoyment is hardly possible. Noise level like at the train station, constant in and out. Overwhelmed employee who doesn't know where to put the customers. Research your language towards customers. While the children are still eating, our plates are already being cleared away and people are reaching over the children's plates. We don't have to visit anymore.

You can eat cheaply and well here. A rich fish menu ensures variety during your holiday. The service is very friendly.

The apparently Asian-run restaurant looks more like a fast food joint than a cozy restaurant. In fact, you can also take food with you. On the windows you can find advertising for a dark beer that is served in a few restaurants in town, but is not on the menu at Seewolf. Some of the preparation takes place directly in the dining room, so that the smells of fish and fat are in the air and then also linger in the clothes. The food was basically okay. I would say that the cream of crab soup was frozen or canned because it tasted typically industrial. Unfortunately, card payments are not possible, but this is clearly indicated by several signs.

We have been going there to eat there for several years when we visit Bensersiel. Have always eaten very good fish dishes there. Good portion sizes for a very fair price. Service is very nice. Only the local design still has room for improvement (complaining at a high level 😉). Will continue to eat there when we are in the corner👍
