Restaurant Fischerstuben in Norden

A very nice restaurant in a quiet location, just 100 meters from the dike. The service is very quiet but very friendly and attentive to all your needs. I can only recommend it to everyone; it's delicious, fresh, and very reasonably priced. We've been there several times and it's always delicious. Very good fish at a good price.

We had herring once, fish twice, and schnitzel once. We enjoyed it. The prices for the dishes were reasonable, averaging €20 per dish. The service was very friendly. We'll be back.

We ate a fish sandwich there yesterday. Disappointing. The service was unfriendly, the change was thrown at us, and the sandwich wasn't worth the money. It was carelessly packed without a lettuce leaf or any other decoration.

We ate there 5 times this week. Very nice and friendly staff who respond to all wishes. The food was very good and the portions were plentiful and the value for money was absolutely fine. We never waited longer than 30 minutes. We would be happy to come back.

Fischerstube sells ready-made fried fish at an exorbitant price. Never again! Next time, I'd rather buy from Netto...

Unfortunately, the chef isn't a "talent" when it comes to preparing appetizing food. Salt is also overrated and should be used in moderation. The side dish of remulade or sous béarnaise could have used some love, but as it was, it just dampened the enjoyment.

Outrageously expensive: €7.20 for a frozen fish sandwich with a milk roll. We were very annoyed. The remoulade had a strong dill flavor, the frozen fried fish was too oily, and the milk roll wasn't fresh either. Never again! I'd rather pay €1 more and get a proper fried fish sandwich somewhere else!

We didn't arrive until 7:45 p.m. They were already checking the time, as they close at 9 p.m., and that was during peak season. The table wasn't clean. When it was finally brought, one of the dishes was wrong, and after two minutes, the correct one arrived. But the food was OK. At 8:30 p.m., we were forced to pay, as they close at 9 p.m. After the disappointment of the past few years, we wanted to give the Fischerstube a chance. We were determined...

For example, the crab soup is truly amazing.

The schnitzel and fries were okay, but the waffles and pancakes were terrible, both in terms of taste and price. The staff were also incredibly unfriendly.

Beautiful restaurant. Very friendly, helpful staff. It wasn't a problem that we had a stroller with us. The food was delicious. We took the leftover fish with us. They also pointed out to us that even if it was fried, it should be eaten the same day. We've never experienced that before. Very nice. We'll definitely be back.

I've rarely eaten such delicious fish; here you can taste the difference between the fish. The service staff was very friendly and pleasant. Beautiful restaurant.

2x portion of fries ordered with mayo - 10.50€ - Hello? Fries fried for absolutely too long, not enough of the portion and mayo in the small plastic bag... Also ordered a fish cake roll with tartar sauce. After the fries arrived, the roll arrived about 3 minutes later - of course without tartar sauce. When the service was asked about it, the blame was placed on the kitchen and no one took care of it. So I had to go into the store myself and stand in front of the kitchen and ask for the tartar sauce. When asked about the waiting time, the waiter just said “You can see how busy it is here.” Absolutely rude, no excuses. Never again!

We were there for the second time now and on both visits the food was absolutely delicious, I have rarely eaten fish so well and the service was very courteous and warm. And the portions were really filling 👍

I can't say anything about the rooms as we were only restaurant guests. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the food is delicious. We were there on our second day of vacation and again the next day because my children (7 and 10 years old) were also really excited. We'll stay a few more days and will stop there again on the last day at the latest. The staff was also really nice, accommodating and very child-friendly. We like to come back again and again.

The food was delicious. I had a steak with fries and bacon-wrapped beans. The fries were very well seasoned and crispy, just as they should be. The meat was good, nice and pink and tasty, but there was something missing for me; I wasn't really impressed. The staff were very friendly and polite, and very helpful with any questions.

Just good. My first visit to the Fischerstuben taught me not to let the interior design confuse your senses. Each owner has left their mark on this restaurant. Crazy. And that is precisely what gives the character and charm of this location. The food is super delicious. All dishes cooked to perfection and served warm. The service was friendly and accommodating. There is no trace of stress or haste. Really great. Every guest receives their order promptly. If it's really crowded, you just have to take a little time with you, but if you go out to eat, you're not on the run. From a price point of view, everything is within reasonable limits. I was very happy with everything and will go there again when I'm in the area again. Thanks to the team. Keep it up Update was a guest again after two and a half years. I was promptly recognized. Seldom eaten so deliciously!!! The kale platter was ordered and served for €17. A dream of food! Highly recommended. The service left nothing to be desired and was very nice and accommodating. Again, big compliments to the kitchen. World class!

Outrageous prices. 1 bottle of water over 8 euros. I've never seen anything like that. Food was OK but nothing great and very expensive. Wouldn't eat there again. But staff was friendly.

Hmm now it's getting difficult. We ate here during our vacation. Unfortunately I have to say the food wasn't great. I would give it a 3-. If you're hungry it's ok, otherwise not. The schnitzel I had (somehow I just realized that I almost only had schnitzel on vacation) was, well, snack format. Fries :-) Phew. The sauce that came with it was enriched with vegetables to disguise this a bit. The others weren't exactly thrilled with the food either. Like I said, we were really hungry. Ambience average. Service good.

Die Fischpanade war grottenschlecht und triefte vor Öl, genau wie die Bratkartoffeln und alles war lieblos angerichtet. Dies haben wir mitgeteilt (vermutlich dem Chef) und wurden blöd angemacht. Die Atmosphäre (und das Essen ) gleicht eher einer Kantine als einem Restaurant. So etwas Schlechtes sind wir von der ostfriesischen Küste nicht gewohnt. Merke: schlechte Rezensionen lügen nicht. Und: Wenn ein Fischrestaurant nach Fisch riecht, dann lass die Finger davon. PS: Fairerweise muss ich sagen, daß sich die nichtdeutschen Bedingungen sehr bemüht haben.

We arrived fresh and wanted something to eat straight away. The fish sandwiches in the associated restaurant were an absolute failure. Frozen fish in a milk roll, far too greasy and not at all appropriate for the price. Bite into it twice and unfortunately had to throw it away.

Wir waren während unseres Urlaubs in Norddeich mehrfach in den Fischerstuben. Das Essen - wir hatten überwiegend Fisch - ist sehr gut. Die Portionen sind sehr reichlich, man kann aber von fast allen Gerichten eine kleine Portion bekommen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Very tasty crab soup. The two fish dishes and the fried potatoes were also great. I already knew the restaurant from previous vacations and visits. Luckily it hasn't changed over the years ❤️ The staff is very nice and the service is good. The restaurant is in the 2nd row behind the dike. Can only be reached by car through a residential area. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the hotel

Staff was incredibly unfriendly, reservations were not kept and they reacted rudely when asked. We left the restaurant, we can't judge the food.

When we arrived in Norddeich, the first thing we did was look for fried fish, after all we are on the coast! Near our guesthouse we discover the window at the restaurant where various fish sandwiches were offered. We lost our desire for fish rolls when we were served breaded frozen fish in a milk roll! The bun was delicious! For a fish restaurant on the coast, it's an absolute disgrace that you can't even get fresh fried fish in beer batter! Luckily, over the next few days we found good alternatives just a few minutes away! If the fried fish had convinced us, we would have liked to have visited the restaurant. But if you get breaded frozen fish with a fish sandwich, you can guess what is being served in the restaurant!

Food was really tasty and fresh. Well priced and well presented. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I was here years ago and the other ratings where making me fear that the change in ownership lead to a decline. I am happy to proclaim that all fears were unwarrented and I was fully satisfied. If the oportunity arises I will visit again. The four hour travel time are worth it.

Overpriced tourist trap, Köstritzer 0.5 for €6.10 is cheeky. In the guest's house the same costs €5.50. In addition, the staff is unmotivated and closes the shop before the posted closing times, even though there are still guests sitting on the terrace.

Unfortunately, the Fischerstuben are no longer recommended. The schnitzel is almost inedible.

Staff seems overwhelmed, the table is only cleared (dishes from the previous person) when this is pointed out. Food (schnitzel hunter style) is just horrible. Schnitzel from the deep fryer, hunter's sauce not edible, just very spicy! Prices for the food, very overpriced! Not even a small salad with the meal! Then very loudly, so that you can no longer understand your own words. We definitely won't be coming here again!

Price performance ratio too high for the food. Pollock fillet was ok, unfortunately nothing more. The atmosphere was quite old-fashioned and there was also a very unpleasant smell (from the toilet?).

All in all “okay”. We were here for the first time and completely unbiased and unfortunately we won't be coming back. Price/performance for the food is okay but the service needs to learn. We ordered drinks and they arrived quite quickly, but we were left stranded quite quickly, especially during the meal. The restaurant wasn't really well attended (3 tables including the two of us) but the service was very sparse. A pity! The atmosphere was quite cool, but not unpleasant. The location is close to the dike, so the potential for improvement is clear!

We have known the Fischerstuben in Norddeich for more than a decade. Now new owners and the facility has been modernized. Some people want the old days back and others are attracted by the new ambience. To this day I am still impressed by the delicious fish dishes there. Nothing here is served dripping greasy, overcooked and burnt like in other, slightly cheaper restaurants nearby. I think quality instead of quantity. Likewise, the entire wardrobe doesn't stink of fish and grease after a visit to the restaurant. However, with the current pricing, you should be offered a side salad without charge. The staff is competent and warm and the Fischerstuben do not hibernate. We were there in January 2024 and felt valued as guests in all aspects, including the Frisian spirit with a saying.

Personal freundlich Bedienung war sehr überfordert. Essen war nicht gut mein Schweinesteak war zäh, die Portion war (pommes gehabt ) zu wenig , hatte was anderes bestellt bzw andere sachen dazu bestellt wurde auch gemacht allerdings waren die Champions die eigentlich auf der Speisekarte standen garnicht mit serviert worden echt ärgerlich. Nochmal gehen wir da nicht mehr hin. Und dann die Preise sind eindeutig zu hoch.

We went for dinner with 4 people before Christmas like last year. As always, everything was excellent, fast, friendly, cheerful service. Even became one. vegan food conjured up from fresh ingredients. We can only recommend this restaurant. We have now feasted here 5 times out of 8 evenings. We look forward to next year.
