Great pancakes and crepes. Relaxed ambience with Frisian charm Gladly again

Got a seat even without a reservation. Very friendly staff and super delicious vegetarian pancakes. Gladly again!

Lovelessly and themelessly furnished room, which with the plastic flowers just has the feel of a canteen. Exorbitant prices for drinks. With a draft beer 0.33 for 4.10 you can quench your thirst even cheaper than with a cola for 4.30. My Zurich pancake came as carelessly prepared as the ambience. Pancakes, a slimy hunter's sauce that is visually reminiscent of mixed jellyfish and a few fried pieces of poultry. Zero decoration. The waitress spoke German poorly, saw the half-eaten plate and asked if it was tasty. I explained myself and got the answer: I will say chef. My mood was unmistakable but the bill still came without a reduction. No accomodation and no interest in saving the situation. 49 euros for 2 drinks and 2 meals in a loveless environment. Better go to a snack bar. I would like to put up a warning sign in front of the store.

A little more expensive but good

We came with our children, one of whom has a disability and an appropriate helper. We were all very hungry and had great expectations of the delicious pancakes. The waitress saw us, but neither helped us enter with the door or our daughter's assistant, etc., nor greeted us or assigned us a seat. After standing stupidly in the middle for a while, we sat for about 10 minutes. Already had a drink picked out and were waiting to order. The man who served simply ignored us and took the orders from the guests after us. I have never felt so unfriendly and unwelcome anywhere in Norddeich. So we got dressed again and left. This also went without any reaction from the staff. There wasn't actually much going on. There were only three tables occupied when we arrived...

Nice place where you can order crazy variations of pancakes. Today we had the “Pancake Gyros” (€20.60) and “Pancake the Lovesick Chinese Admiral” (€22.90). Both were very tasty and filled you up very well. We paid €5.90 each for a Spezi and an apple spritzer. Overall price/performance ratio is ok but it ends up being very expensive. The pancakes score points in terms of taste, large selection and size. The waiter that evening was very caring and always offered his services to us with a smile. Every time he passed us, he gave us attention in case we needed anything. All in all, a good place to linger for a while.

When I looked at the prices on the notice board, I moved on straight away. Everyone has to earn money, no question. But that's a disgrace.

There were four of us eating there. When we looked at the menu and the prices, our eyes widened at first, but we were all surprised by the food. Larger portions than you would normally expect and the taste is really good, which is what you would expect given the steep price. Especially for people who like something more unusual in addition to the run-of-the-mill pancakes (which are of course also available) it's definitely a good place to go and worth a visit. Service was uncomplicated, easy and quick. Small criticism: the ambience is a bit bare and could use a little more life. As already mentioned above, we find the prices a bit too touristy, but all in all we still recommend it!

We were here for vacation. The service was absolutely top. Unfortunately, the price of the food is absolutely overpriced for the quality. A pancake with a bit of creamed spinach and feta cheese for €19.40 is absolutely exorbitant. Of course, everyone wants to earn money with their work, no question about it, but a maximum cost of €3, €19.40 is a disgrace.

How much does a pancake or crepes cost? Here it is OVERPRICED and then the pancake isn't even baked through. Not recommended.

There are super delicious pancakes here. A huge selection, everyone will find something. And if not, there are also dishes that have nothing to do with pancakes, such as schnitzel. The service is on point, orders are taken quickly, both drinks and food came quickly. The prices are okay and according to the portions. We'd love to come back!

Very nice restaurant with friendly staff and very tasty and plentiful food

Die Pfannkuchen sind lecker, aber teuer. Wer hier etwas besonderes erwartet, wird enttäuscht. Für Experimentierfreudige sind die Toppings vielleicht ein Reiz, dennoch ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt.

Four of us went there for lunch during the week. We all got really full because the portions are really big. We recommend taking the smaller ones. The service was very good.

Very very tasty but unfortunately a bit overpriced

So maybe we're spoiled, but I think that €20 each for a pancake and a schnitzel with frozen fries is excessive in the case of the pancake and the schnitzel wasn't particularly good either. Ketchup also costs extra. We won't come again

Ate apple pancakes and were very disappointed. Intentionally and unsuccessfully, prices outrageous and poor performance. NEVER AGAIN

The restaurant was ok, unfortunately my Hawaiian pancake wasn't that good. The pancake had no taste at all.

Very tasty and great selection. In particular, the covered terrace at the back was very quiet and you didn't have to constantly look at your plate from "spectators" passing by. Very nice and friendly service. We'll be back, even if we don't vacation there.

Very nice restaurant...with lots of good dishes...

We had hoped for more. The pancakes are placed on the plate “in folds” so that for a pancake with cinnamon and sugar, only about 50% of the pancake is covered with toppings. The other 50% taste boring. The rice pudding on another pancake tasted like typical instant rice pudding. We paid almost 80 euros for 4 people. That was rather disappointing.

We were there with 4 adults and we all loved the food, the friendly service and the cleanliness. The savory pancakes, the homemade grated biscuits and the Wienerschnitzel were super tasty and the portions were very large. Parking spaces are available behind the house.

We went there on a recommendation. I ate crepes with vanilla ice cream. My girlfriend had pancakes with pear and soft cheese, cranberries. Tastes very good! However, I found my crepes to be a bit overpriced. 14.50 euros for two small crepes and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Well, there's not a lot of goods used... But okay, maybe. The costs at the location are very high. That's why I don't give it 5 stars.

Great food, nice and friendly service

We really wanted to eat pancakes and found out about this pancake house through Google. When we got there they looked at us like we were coming from the moon. The service was friendly but reserved. The restaurant urgently needs renovation and an adjusted price list. Pancakes for €16 are a disgrace. The food didn't taste particularly good either. We won't come back again.

Super big, delicious pancakes. Something for every taste. Sweet or savory, with rice pudding or chicken. The price is steep, but appropriate given the portion size. The ambience leaves a little to be desired, with a little renovation there would definitely be more going on. Staff are committed, but 3 people standing behind the counter and waiting until you're finished (we were the only guests) is a bit excessive. All in all, we would come back again

Yes, a bit old. But the food was good, plentiful and arrived relatively quickly. The service polite and friendly. And in terms of price, well, it's a tourist hotspot and everything is a bit more expensive. But not too much.

When we walked into this restaurant we were met with a very unpleasant smell. The restaurant itself is very old and would need a renovation. The food there is very overpriced and definitely not fresh as the food came out of the kitchen very quickly. However that is possible if it is freshly prepared. We also felt like we were being watched by the waiters because they stood at the front the whole time and looked at us while we ate. At the end when we paid, a friend gave the waiter a good tip, then when I paid he just asked in shock if I just wanted to pay the exact price.

We only had drinks, very tasty (Bitburger); cozy restaurant.

Quaint restaurant, good home cooking. At these prices it would have been appropriate to add ketchup and mayonnaise free of charge with the schnitzel. Eat like eat.

It was something different and you should definitely try it out. When the plate came we thought it was ok, manageable size. But with the contents it was a portion that was almost impossible to manage. Everyone enjoyed it very much.

Immense Auswahl an Pfannkuchen von Süß bis Herzhaft bis Mischung aus beidem. Bedienung war freundlich und die Pfannkuchen waren lecker und haben satt gemacht.

For the kiddos and because we also like to eat a good pancake, we went to the pancake house... The first impression is that you're stuck to the floor mhhh... The second impression wow what kind of prices are these? For a pancake with a bit of vegetables 20€, seriously? With chocolate just under €16 The large drinks cost €6 if you're asking prices like that, then the shop should also match that, let's put it that way, the last renovation was a long time ago, generally quite a loveless atmosphere. No matter where we ate for the last 7 days, including fish, crabs and the like, we were SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper! We were tired of cardboard but that's not all that matters. We wouldn't come back here.

I do not know what to say. 40 different pancakes and 30 creps.... Sounds great at first, but think about it - with so much choice, everything can be fake... And exactly: NO!!! After ordering, the pancakes came from the kitchen within 10 minutes, how is that supposed to work if they were supposed to be made fresh...my wife had a "Zurich style" pancake with chicken...sauce from the package, meat just warmed up, the mushrooms from the can... And for that 20€????? The drinks prices are also completely overpriced, yes I know about the VAT adjustment but why are the drinks (and food) available a few doors away for normal money. Conclusion: Good service, bad overpriced food... It's a shame to cut out 25 pancakes and crepes and prepare them fresh. It was my last visit here... We paid over €70 for two adults with two children - each of whom had a children's portion - and there were two water and two soft drinks included - small ones!! You can go twice for food elsewhere in town!

I had a savory pancake that I really enjoyed. The portion was also so big that I couldn't eat it all. I will gladly come again.

Nicht der Rede wert. Zu teuer, Qualität,null ab fünfzehn. Getränke auch überteuert. Service auch naja. Finger weg. Fast gegenüber gibt es Fisch/Portionen,super Teller für weit aus weniger Geld.

Located on the main street in Norddeich, the atmosphere is traditional and cozy! Super nice staff and a great map. The portions are very large! When you first look at the menu you think the prices would be high, but given the size of the portions the price-performance ratio is great!

Sehr, sehr schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis insbesonders bei den Getränken. Ein in vorrangig gelb dekorierter, mit blauem Teppichboden (Teppichboden in der Gastronomie ist nicht gerade hygienisch) ausgestatteter Gastraum mit Stühlen, die in Gaststätten in den 80er Jahren verwendet wurden, wollte uns spontan zur Umkehr bewegen. Da uns die Speisekarte draußen im Aushang neugierig machte, blieben wir. Der Blick in die Getränkekarte zeigte ein vollkommen überzogenes Preisniveau. Saftschorle 0.3 kostet z.B. 4,40€. Ein Kännchen friesischer Tee knapp 10€. Letzteren bekam ich in vielen anderen Lokalitäten mit viel Atmosphäre, schönem Service deutlich günstiger serviert. Die Suppe war heiß, überzeugte geschmacklich überhaupt nicht. Das war definitiv kein frisches Produkt. Pfannkuchen Züricher Art war ebenfalls speziell. Das Geschnetzelte war dermaßen dick mit einem Fertigprodukt angebunden, dass ein Messer zum portionieren nötig war. Die Optik war dementsprechend. Hüstel. Das zweite Gericht war O.K.. Das bereits erwähnte Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt in keiner Weise. Verbunden mit der sehr in die Jahre gekommenen Einrichtung und dem Service wirkt es wie Touristennepp. Für den entrichteten Betrag haben wir in Norddeich hervorragend in anderen Lokalen frisch und lecker gegessen. Eine Wiederholung wird es nicht geben.

We were also at Pancake 12 years ago and nothing has changed. Not quite contemporary anymore, the restaurant area was kept very dark. But the pancakes are made with heart, just like years ago. In savory and sweet variations, very, very tasty. A thank you to the entire team, hopefully we'll see you at some point.

Oh well. I would have expected more for the money. Burnt pancakes, filling tasted like finished goods.

Admittedly, it's not easy to decide on this selection. With the incredibly delicious pancakes we got, you might want to come here several times - it's definitely worth it!

Pancakes and potato pancakes were delicious but the price was a disaster. Logically, restaurants/businesses have to raise their prices, but the prices for pancakes and potato pancakes are, in my opinion, too high. As an example, 2 potato pancakes with applesauce and 1 teaspoon of cranberries cost €15.90. Pancakes around €20... It's a shame, but no one can afford that anymore in the long run

Wirklich grausam. Selbst das Kind hat seinen Pfannkuchen nicht essen wollen und allen ist übel. Pommes (TK) zwar braun aber roh, Pfannkuchen geschmacklos und Äpfel im Pfannkuchen mit Schale. Alles sehr lieblos, keinerlei frische Zutaten. Pfannkuchen riechen und schmecken fettig und ranzig. Dafür zu dritt 70€. Ein paar Häuser weiter gibts frischen Fisch für 50€. Ich würds mir überlegen.

Very tasty pancakes, but unreasonably expensive.

A nice restaurant, lots of delicious food, but incredibly overpriced, which greatly reduces the enjoyment. There are also no pancakes, crepes or potato pancakes on the children's menu, even though that is actually the core of the menu. Too bad we won't go back. 100 euros for pancakes for 4 people is simply too much for the service offered.

Take a long walk along the sea and then stop off, a little cold from the fresh breeze. Coziness, friendly service and good food. This is what a short vacation at the sea should be like.

Eigentlich bin ich nicht der Beschwerdemensch aber ich bin heute Abend so enttäuscht worden von dem Essen im Pfannkuchenhaus. Ich habe 65 Euro bezahlt für ein Essen was höchstens 20 Euro wert war. Wenn mein Sohn ein Pfannkuchen mit Nutella liegen lässt, dass soll schon was heissen. Pfannkuchen hatte null Geschmack. Pfannkuchen mit Lachs und Rucola und Hollandaise definitiv keine Frischware. Mein Mann hatte Schnitzel mit Champignon Rahmsosse und Pommes. Champignons richtig eklig, Sosse eklig und Pommes wahrscheinlich aus dem Discounter. Schnitzel hat wahrscheinlich keine Pfanne gesehen sondern nur die Friteuse. Für den Preis hätte ich mir mehr erhofft, zumal wir gestern in einem Fischlokal mit Bedienung und Getränken waren und dort dasselbe bezahlt haben. Ausserdem war der Fisch dort ganz frisch, sowie alle anderen Zutaten, ein himmelweiter Unterschied. Ich kann das Pfannkuchenhaus keinesfalls weiterempfehlen und wenn selbst die Pfannkuchen nicht schmecken,dann sollte man es lassen und sich einen anderen Namen überlegen für diese Gaststätte.

The nice thing about winter on the North Sea is that you don't have to book a table and everything is really relaxed. Had a spontaneous meal there yesterday and was very impressed. Very tasteful food. A pancake will also fill you up. Ambiance is good. You can do it or absolutely recommend it

The food was very tasty and very expensive. But it happened quickly. Two pancakes and two drinks for 38 euros is steep. The service was visibly annoyed that guests were still arriving 40 minutes before the end. Even the feigned friendliness couldn't cover this up. To signal that one should eat more quickly, the keys were rattled loudly and the front door was locked so that no other guests could enter the restaurant. We felt uncomfortable and watched and had the rest packed up and then continued to eat in peace somewhere else. The ambience is nice and everything was clean.

Sehr leckere Pfannkuchen von denen man auf jeden Fall satt wird. Der Service war sehr nett. Ich würde mir noch wünschen das es auf der Karte auch einfachere Pfannkuchen gibt wie zum Beispiel nur mit Käse und Speck.

Also das war nix. Der Service war ziemlich unfreundlich, das Essen ist sehr 80er. Die Pfannkuchen sind vermutlich nicht frisch sondern wirkten aufgewärmt. Die Füllungen waren irgendwie merkwürdig. Wir haben uns eher für klassische Varianten entschieden... Champions und Rahm, bzw. Fleisch. Alles in Sauce Hollandaise getränkt. Die Krabbensuppe war nicht gut, m.E. eher eine Kürbissuppe, die auch auf der Karte stand, mit Krabbensuppe. Auch das Ambiente ist ungemütlich und in die Jahre gekommen. Ich würde nicht wieder kommen. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist nicht gerechtfertigt.

Wie immer sehr leckere Pfannekuchen gegessen.

Das Essen war lecker, der Sanddorn-Basilikum-Drink ist was echt besonderes, aber Geschmackssache. Die Kellner waren freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Räumlichkeiten sind ziemlich schlicht gehalten.
