A lovely, quaint restaurant, very simply furnished, but the food was very tasty, especially the pancake with pumpkin, it was something completely new, simply delicious.

The food was delicious again, and I also got a smaller portion of pancakes from Greetsiel upon request – highly recommended.

This was my second visit, five years apart. Everything was still as perfect as the first time. Delicious pancakes with a wide selection. Simply delicious. Definitely recommended.

The prices might not be cheap for a pancake/crepe, but the food tasted good, and the portions were large and beautifully garnished, which justifies the price in my opinion. There's a wide selection, something for every taste. The waitress was very nice and very child-friendly. We felt at home.

There were four of us there, and we were all very disappointed. 1. There was an unpleasant, slightly musty smell in the air the whole time, even though the windows were open. 2. The service was quite unfriendly. 3. The food wasn't tasty. We tried various dishes, from pancakes to schnitzel, but they were all disappointing. We definitely won't be going back.

It was okay but not particularly special. It lacked a lot of spice and was very expensive in my opinion.

Very good food, very good service

We were simply completely satisfied, especially with the one particularly friendly server (the others were also very nice). We were two moms with five children, ages 1 to 6, and we were in Norden in July 2025. We were assigned a very good table, a spot for our handcart with a sleeping child, as it was pouring with rain outside, and the food was exactly what you would expect. Simply fantastic, thank you for the delicious lunch.

If you're in a pancake house, you have to eat pancakes, of course. We had to swallow hard at the prices, but only because you compare them to crepes at a fair. The portion and the taste are truly worth it! The staff were very friendly. Dogs are also welcome there. The decor is quite quaint; some inviting music filling the room would have been nice.

You get what you order. I specifically ordered the pancake with North Sea crab, and the North Sea crab was plentiful. The pancake was very thick and filling. The sauce was a bit heavy, but it was good. If you leave hungry, you've ordered the wrong thing. The service was very friendly and attentive. You can also sit outside, either at the front or at the back of the house, although it's a bit windy there. Price-performance ratio is okay. Update: September 2025 We went to the pancake house again. This time, the service wasn't as friendly as the first time, which surprised us. The starter was crab soup, although I have to say, I was quite disappointed with that. The crab was the best part. The rest was indefinable. I have no idea what kind of soup it was. The consistency was strange, and so was the taste. So, I wouldn't order again. The pollock fillet was very tasty. The portion was also very large. The salmon fillet was also delicious, and so were the crêpes. The filled pancakes were also very good, although everything was somehow enhanced with hollandaise sauce. Everything is better with hollandaise sauce. What really wasn't tasty were the potato pancakes. They were grated far too finely, far too thick, and far too large. Instead of two giant potato pancakes, three or four smaller ones would have been sufficient, and they would have tasted better. Perhaps I should recommend that the chef consider changing that.

Refreshingly different, an absolute highlight in East Frisia for pancake lovers. Absolutely fantastic, imaginative creations. Super tasty. Drinks are also excellent, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I'm glad I don't live nearby, because I would triple my weight here in no time, even though they do offer healthy options. I highly recommend it.

An absolute insider tip in Norddeich! Excellent food, great and friendly service! The prices are absolutely fair for the portions! An absolute must for anyone who loves pancakes of any kind! Very nice restaurant on Norddeicherstrasse in Norddeich... friendly welcome, very attentive service... no long wait... a different kind of restaurant, as the name suggests... pancake house... variety of offerings... highly recommended, I can only recommend it 👍👍

Service and quality have changed dramatically over the last 10 years.

We really enjoyed it. Great pancakes. Restrooms neat and clean (which is important, too). Price is a bit high, but OK. Nothing is really cheap anymore. So, Everything was great!

It's incredible what you can combine with pancakes. Absolutely delicious!

Today I went to the Pfannkuchenhaus with my wife and our three children. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. Our schnitzel (Puszta and mushroom cream sauce), for just under €20, was the same size as the two schnitzel children's meals for €9.10. The ratio is completely out of proportion. With five drinks and four meals, we came to just under €85. Our two-year-old got something from all the plates. But none of us were truly full. Tomorrow we'll go back to the Norddeicher Grill. We haven't been disappointed there yet.

I've been back after almost six years and am grateful that the food still tastes so good. The service was very attentive.

Delicious savory and sweet pancakes/crepes, savory children's dishes, and friendly service. A bit more expensive, but delicious, and the toppings were plentiful. A changing table and high chairs were also available.

Food tasted good, portions are large

We've eaten pancakes there twice now, and it was a real highlight for us. We'll be back next year. Pancakes with hot cherries 🍒 Vanilla ice cream and whipped cream are always a hit.

The pancakes are amazing, with a huge selection, both savory and sweet, and they're so filling. We'll be back on our next vacation. Our child was also immediately given something to paint, which was very thoughtful.

3 Basic Pancakes and 3 Cokes for over €64, that is to expensive. The pancakes were nothing special, not thoroughly baked, made in a hurry. Few guests, it was a rainy day in July. Clearly the service was not interested in giving us any desert, since it was close to closing time (30 min). Interior is dated with standardized ornaments, almost becoming retro style ;-(

That's fine. If I order for four people in a restaurant and the main courses are on the table within 10 minutes, nothing—absolutely nothing—has been cooked. My pancake was warm, not hot. The prices, however, are worthy of Michelin-starred cuisine. 100 euros for reheated ingredients and paper tablecloths... you can do better anywhere in town.

Unfortunately, we weren't satisfied there. As we entered the restaurant, we heard one of the chefs shout, "Don't they all have a home, or what are they doing here?" The service was friendly, but due to language barriers on their part, we got the wrong drinks. The prices are too high for our taste, despite the location. Almost €14 for a simple pancake with sugar and cinnamon?! The pancake farm looked delicious, but the sausages and ham cubes were cut very large, which wasn't particularly appetizing. We wouldn't come back.

The selection is truly enormous. My children had sweet pancakes, and my wife and I had savory ones. We were all very impressed. Only the waitress seemed a little overwhelmed.

We were there with our children and found both servers to be rude. We were asked every 60 seconds whether we had already decided. The children hadn't been given a menu, even though they were clearly of reading age. The prices are almost immorally high. An Alster beer is cheaper than a soft drink. We decided not to eat for the reasons mentioned.

We were there last year and again this holiday. Whether savory or sweet, it's delicious. They also have great potato pancakes. For savory dishes, I'd prefer a potato pancake dish...

This place offers something different! Both sweet and savory pancake dishes, which I never would have expected, were absolutely delicious. Even my wife's special vegetarian requests were fulfilled (to her satisfaction). Because the selection was so large and the food so delicious, we ate there twice in a row. Definitely recommended, and not always the typical Italian and Greek fare.

We ate there twice last week. The portions are large and delicious, and the potato pancakes are freshly baked and really good. There are regional dishes, as well as classic favorites. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back next year.

Oslo pancakes. Very, very tasty. A different combination to the glaze. What's always important to me – enough creamed horseradish. It was the case!!! The atmosphere is very nice, and the service is exactly what you'd expect. The price is completely reasonable. I'd definitely recommend it.

Pancake farm. Very tasty and plentiful.

We went to the pancake house today and, unfortunately, we didn't like it at all. The sauce tasted like something from a packet, and the jam like instant jam (way too sweet). The prices weren't justified. When it came time to pay, we didn't even get change (even though it wasn't much). We pocketed the money and went back into the restaurant.

The service was really good, we were welcomed and served nicely. Our food came very quickly. My pancake “Lumberjack Style” was very tasty. I personally found an alcohol-free wheat for over 6 euros a bit overpriced. The food was reasonably priced. If you like many different types of pancakes, you should visit the Pancake House. Of course there are also other dishes such as schnitzel etc.

We were just there last Friday and were bitterly disappointed! The pancakes with milk, sugar, and cinnamon were a disaster. The pancake had an okay consistency, but lacked flavor. The rice pudding was like a slimy soup. A little cinnamon powder sprinkled on top and that was it. The server was friendly. I asked if I liked it. After I gave my feedback, the first server came back and took my money without a word. The fact that I gave a negative feedback and sent back the plate three-quarters full didn't matter. To me, it seems like they're trying to make a quick buck in Norddeich. €6.90 for a shandy (500 ml) was also a hefty price. Never again for us.

Price-performance ratio is really bad. A pancake with tomato sauce and 4 slices of mozzarella costs 16 euros or 27 euros for a pancake with North Sea crabs and some tartar sauce. Unfortunately the prices spoiled our visit.

Food is OK, but completely overpriced. A flatbread soup for almost €8 with, no lie, 2 flatbreads is, with all due respect, a disgrace. I have never had a soup with so little content anywhere in my life and I have been to many restaurants.

I can absolutely recommend this restaurant, not only the old pictures of Norddeich on the wall give the restaurant a special flair, but also the delicious food here Here you can find pancakes of all kinds, savory, sweet, everything your heart desires. The service staff are also very friendly and if you have a wish it will be fulfilled. If we go on holiday here in Norddeich again we will be happy to come back. Thank you for a nice evening

After we entered the pancake house, a table was definitely assigned, even though there was no one in the restaurant. The waitress gave us the cards and immediately asked what we wanted to eat. This question was repeated three times within five minutes. So when we chose, not all of the pancakes were available because the ingredients weren't in stock, and prices exceeded €20, which was a disgrace. We were definitely there for the last time.

The food was good and tasty. However, the prices are not appropriate and in my opinion too high. The service was friendly, but didn't make you feel welcome. From a human perspective, it all seemed a bit cold. However, the ambience is anything but nice. Everything is clean, but it is showing its age. Little cozy and the charm of an old 90s restaurant. A renovation and advice from a decorator is definitely necessary here. Overall, price and performance absolutely do not match.

Completely different pancakes. Very licking

Unfortunately we didn't like the pancakes that much. The ham was cut from the package as it was. So all the slices stuck together, were extremely fried and way too much. There were hardly any vegetables to be found. Wasn't for us But others probably like it.

The service is friendly. They responded to special requests. The atmosphere is pleasant. The pancakes were very good. I would say the best I've eaten out. We ate both savory and sweet foods and it left us more than full. I can highly recommend the inn.

You don't find a pancake house very often, so we went straight there... As hoped, there were very tasty, thick pancakes in many variations. The potato pancakes were also super tasty and all of our dishes were plentiful. In terms of price, it wasn't a real insider tip, but even if it wasn't that cheap (also due to our selection and the crabs), I would go there again at any time and enjoy a pancake... 😊 Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture before I started to eat 😂 that's why a part is missing from the plate...

Apologies in advance, but this time I only took the photos after the 2nd bite. Sorry 😬 Went there for the first time today and at first it was good. Friendly staff, clean toilet. Pancakes with cinnamon and sugar were delicious but way too expensive. Fries were tasty, the ketchup was completely ok at an additional €1. Not sour and the portion was okay too. The pork schnitzel tasted delicious and the breading was well fried. But now to the reason for only 2 stars: We found the pricing of the dishes to be significantly too high for what you get. Pork schnitzel with fries €18.30: The schnitzel was very small, about 125 to 130 grams without breading. There wasn't even a side salad except for 3 leaves of arugula and a small slice of lemon. Pork schnitzel and fries are not exactly the most expensive foods to buy. Therefore, in our opinion, the price for this dish is too high. Pancakes with cinnamon and sugar €13.90: Even though the pancake was really big, we still think the price is too high. There was also a hair under the decoration (orange peel). It can happen, but of course it's not exactly appetizing at such a price. Drinks: Apple spritzer 0.3 €4.10 and water 0.25 €3.50 also a bit expensive, but good, if the price for the meal had been right then we wouldn't have cared. And the chairs are not suitable for people with a bit more weight. It pressed into the side of my hip and was quite uncomfortable. There were other chairs too, but they were occupied. Maybe stick with the pancake specialties instead of taking schnitzel or something else off the menu. 😉

Lovelessly and themelessly furnished room, which with the plastic flowers just has the feel of a canteen. Exorbitant prices for drinks. With a draft beer 0.33 for 4.10 you can quench your thirst even cheaper than with a cola for 4.30. My Zurich pancake came as carelessly prepared as the ambience. Pancakes, a slimy hunter's sauce that is visually reminiscent of mixed jellyfish and a few fried pieces of poultry. Zero decoration. The waitress spoke German poorly, saw the half-eaten plate and asked if it was tasty. I explained myself and got the answer: I will say chef. My mood was unmistakable but the bill still came without a reduction. No accomodation and no interest in saving the situation. 49 euros for 2 drinks and 2 meals in a loveless environment. Better go to a snack bar. I would like to put up a warning sign in front of the store.
