Restaurant Feldbergblick in Frankfurt am Main

The Feldbergblick has its charm and with the possibility of eating outside, it has always been a popular meeting place for us, so I meet there with friends 2-3 times a year. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the food has deteriorated a lot, I've always been a fan of the large dirt shovel and have ordered that almost exclusively, but since the last two visits I've been pretty disappointed. The dirt shovel has lost massively in size and the amount of lettuce has increased. I don't think it's that bad, but the old, well-made fried potatoes weren't such a hit last time and this time they were a complete disappointment. Boiled potatoes are sautéed briefly in the pan and frozen vegetables are used to top it all off, but I expect that to be a little better in this price range.

Very tasty food at fair prices. Unfortunately the waitress was inattentive, he preferred to look at his cell phone. The restaurant is lovingly decorated inside and out. Toilets can only be accessed from outside, which is a bit uncomfortable when it's cold.

You can't go wrong with schnitzel dishes. I was in the restaurant with a large group, but the drinks and food still went quite quickly. Espresso and dessert are also recommended.

This restaurant is a hidden pearl in Mainhatten. If you want to eat great food, feel at home and be served like a king then you just have to go here. A must for everyone 😊 A big thank you to the whole team for your magic 😊

Yesterday I was at Feldbergblick for the first time. We had reserved a table for 14 people, which was also confirmed in writing. Unfortunately the reservation was forgotten. It wasn't a problem for us, but the Indian waiter treated us in a very unfriendly way. He would have liked us to leave. We made suggestions and helped how we could still sit together. We then squeezed ourselves together at a table that was far too narrow. No problem at all, but when one of us asked what was vegetarian or vegan, he said nothing, she should just order a salad. The food was OK. Later we were looked after by another waiter, and that was much more pleasant. All in all, the Feldberg view is okay. You can go, but you don't have to.

Super beautifully decorated for Christmas

Wir hatten ein Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb und Grüne Soße mit 4 halben Eiern und Petersilienkartoffeln bestellt. Das Essen wurde bereits nach knapp 5 Minuten serviert. Das Schnitzel (fester langer Lappen) war eine absolute Zumutung. Völlig geschmacklos und derart heiß aus der Mikrowelle, dass es ungenießbar war. Wir haben über viele Jahre bei den Vorgängern (Fam. Weber) das Wiener Schnitzel immer in guter Qualität bekommen. Nun zu dem anderen Gericht. Die grüne Soße und die hartgekochten Eier waren eiskalt direkt aus dem Kühlschrank auf den Teller gekommen. Die Salzkartoffeln hingegen waren „frisch“ aus der Mikrowelle. Das heißt von außen eine harte Kruste, innen noch roh. Schlimmer geht nimmer. Wir werden dieses Lokal mit Sicherheit nicht mehr aufsuchen. Wir waren jahrelang gerne zu Gast bei Familie Weber. Traurig, dass die Webers nun sehen müssen, wie ihr Lebenswerk heruntergewirtschaftet wird. Schade!

Really cute restaurant, right in the gardens under the Ginnheim asparagus. Friendly staff and the food was very tasty. With outside tables in summer. We'd love to come back. Well and then the “big dirt shovel” (see picture) is so delicious.

The food was just okay...I was clearly hoping for something better. The service was neutral, tended to be rather unfriendly, rolling your eyes, just reaching over you, etc. The location itself was old-fashioned and staid..

A particularly beautiful location, both inside and outside, full of loving details. The front garden is always particularly beautifully decorated. The food is home-style, very good.

Gestern war ich mit meiner Familie zum ersten Mal im Restaurant „Feldbergblick“ essen. Der Besuch erfolgte auf Empfehlung, die jedoch auf Erfahrungen basiert, die einige Jahre zurückliegen. Ich habe ein Wiener Schnitzel „original“ mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat als Beilage bestellt. Wir waren insgesamt sechs Personen, die anderen haben Gerichte wie „Dreckschaufel“, „Paprikaschnitzel“ und „Waliser Schnitzel“ gewählt. Als mein Wiener Schnitzel serviert wurde, war ich enttäuscht: Es sah aus wie ein minderwertiges Tankstellen-Schnitzel – und das ist noch schmeichelhaft, denn Tankstellenschnitzel sehen und schmecken oft besser. Das Fleisch war völlig geschmacklos, und die Panade klebte so fest am Fleisch, dass es, wie ein anderer Gast treffend anmerkte, wie ein Lappen aussah. Auf meine Beschwerde hin zeigte sich der Kellner überrascht und wollte den Chef informieren. Dieser stand jedoch völlig desinteressiert in der Nähe und ließ sich nicht blicken. Für 25,50 € bekam ich ein schlecht zubereitetes Tiefkühlschnitzel serviert. Die restlichen Gerichte waren ebenfalls enttäuschend – wir hätten alle lieber bei McDonald’s gegessen. Dort hätten wir für knapp 60 € gewusst, was wir bekommen, anstatt hier fast 170 € für schlechte Qualität zu zahlen. Falls der Chef des Restaurants den Film „Ratatouille“ gesehen hat und glaubt, dass tatsächlich jeder kochen kann, muss ich ihn enttäuschen: Das ist nur ein Kinderfilm, und die Realität sieht anders aus. Nein, kochen kann definitiv nicht jeder.

Very nice restaurant, right in the allotment garden area. With a nice beer garden. The overall atmosphere is very loving and functional. The service was excellent and the food was great. All in all a nice evening. There are no direct parking spaces, but they are available in the area. Toilets are clean and there are even baby changing facilities.

We were there for the first time and found the food delicious. The waitress/waitress met our needs very much and made us feel at home. Thank you!

Delicious food. Good middle class. Special dishes on the menu, currently mushroom dishes (chanterelles) in September. Outstanding desserts (Kaiserschmarren). A good recommendation!

I was really looking forward to the restaurant, but unfortunately the food didn't really impress me. It all takes a while. You have to proactively draw attention to yourself if you want to order something else. Location is nice. If you're in the corner you can also eat something here, I wouldn't go there just for the food

Very nice atmosphere and good service. Menu mushrooms alla cream with dumplings was not recommended. Very firm dumpling! One had the feeling that it was not freshly prepared. Some of the fried potatoes were so dark and overcooked. Maybe we can still work on it😉

We were there on Sunday about 1 1/2 weeks ago. At first we were greeted very rudely because we wanted to sit outside. A table was then reluctantly set for us. When I asked what kind of beer you had, the waiter was very annoyed. I have to say that we didn't even get a drinks menu, only one with food. When the orders were ready, we were ignored most of the time. 2 out of 3 meals came very quickly, we didn't even have to wait 10 minutes. But instead of bringing all three meals, we had to wait for one. Ergo...the other 2 dishes were cold. Well, you can or have to live with it. But the food was subpar. 2 out of 3 dishes were probably already waiting, otherwise they wouldn't have been there so quickly, but this restaurant doesn't value fresh products either. We had this dirt shovel twice and the over-baked schnitzel once. The vegetables were frozen goods that hadn't even been warmed up properly, the fried potatoes (some with peel and some without) weren't even a touch crispy and I had exactly 5 fries on my plate. The meat looked like a dog and the amount that was on it wasn't worth 20 euros. The schnitzel was so drowned with sauce hollondais that you couldn't taste anything else. The Souce Hollondais wasn't even declared on the menu. All in all, we hadn't eaten something so bad for a long time....!!!! When the waiter came to clear away the food (our drinks were already empty at this point, and we actually wanted to have a drink with our meal but unfortunately, as already mentioned, we were ignored) we asked him if we liked it. ..NO.... He just replied OK. and sent the boss to us. He then told us that he couldn't understand why it didn't taste good and that his chef had been there for years and always did it that way. (I have to say that we had someone with us who has known the store for a long time and has been there often in the past.) He then contradicted the boss, who continued to try to talk things out. What he said all the time was that we should come back and get a second picture. But after this experience and the behavior of the staff, it was over for us. We pointed out so many deficiencies that any other restaurant operator would have said, OK. I'll take this or that off the bill. But nothing. We were then offered a coffee which we declined. To top it all off, things that we didn't even have were added to the bill!! We only noticed this when we got to the car and looked at the bill again. So we went back and the waiter came to meet us with the money we overpaid. But instead of apologizing, he just said what was too much and gave us the money and then quickly ran back. We would like to apologize because something went wrong. But nothing came of that direction. So as a tip, check your bill directly on site or go somewhere else. You can save the money. It was supposed to be a nice Sunday with our friend, but it was really ruined by this restaurant. Thanks for nothing!!!

Wir waren zu viert am Abend dort. 3 Personen haben ein Wiener Schnitzel bestellt, eine Person Salat mit Hähnchenbrust. Das Wiener Schnitzel war das mieseste, dass ich jemals irgendwo gegessen habe. Vorpaniert fertig aus der Tiefkühl-Tüte und frittiert. Nichts aber auch gar nichts, von dem, was ein Wiener Schnitzel haben muss, konnten wir feststellen. Keine fluffige Panade, kein zarter Biss. Stattdessen ein flacher, zäher Lappen, auf den wir gern verzichtet hätten. Die Hähnchenbrust auf dem Salat sah übrigens auch aus, als wenn sie fertig paniert aus der Tiefkühltüte kam. Zum Wein kann ich ergänzen, dass unsere Nachfragen nach den Sorten, da sie nicht auf der Karte standen, und es offensichtlich keine Weinkarte gab, wie folgt beantwortet wurde: Ich: Welchen Weißwein haben Sie denn? Kellner: Riesling und Grauburgunder und Grünen Veltliner. Ich: Aus welcher Region ist der Riesling? Kellner: Hier aus der Gegend. Ich????? Und der Grauburgunder? Kellner: auch hier aus der Gegend. Die sind alle hier aus der Gegend, nur der Grüne Veltliner, der ist nicht von hier. ……. Vielleicht sollte man dem Kellner mal erklären, dass Weine hier aus der Gegend (Frankfurt am Main) bedeuten kann, dass die u.a. aus der Pfalz, dem Rheingau oder aus Rheinhessen kommen können. Das macht einen Unterschied.. Für uns allerdings nicht mehr, weil wir garantiert nie wieder in dieses Lokal gehen werden.

We were just there and accidentally wrote a 3 star review - the restaurant is excellent, the food is delicious, the service is great. At first we had a very young waiter who was great, in the end an older gentleman came to serve and he simply forgot to bring my third Benedictine Hell. However, this was a very minor downer. We definitely recommend visiting the Feldbergblick, it's lovely to sit there and the food and drinks are delicious

Only if you were lucky did you get a table in the beer garden, unfortunately without a parasol. Very nice location in the immediate vicinity of the "Ginnheimer Spargel". Price-performance ratio fits. Relaxed atmosphere.

I have known this restaurant at the "Spargel" with German cuisine for at least 40 years, which is also well attended by an older crowd at lunchtime. It's best to take the bus or take a walk - finding a parking space is a matter of luck. Beautiful outdoor area, lovingly decorated inside (it's too much for me). The food has gone down a lot lately - 2024 (new owner). Unfortunately no longer recommended

We have now been to this restaurant more often and are very impressed with the good German food. The portions are very large. You will always be full here. I can highly recommend the Jägertopf or the schnitzel! The staff were a bit harsher last time, probably because it was very busy. We'll still be back!

This is a very nice and romantic restaurant. The service was friendly, but the schnitzel was too dry and came out of the deep fryer.

Food is tasty, but a bit more expensive. Unfortunately the service didn't work at all that day, even though there were four of them. No one came to us for the first 20 minutes, even though we were seen. We then picked up the menu ourselves. Both with the drinks, as well as with the food and dessert: things arrived everywhere that hadn't been ordered or others were simply forgotten, and they didn't come even when asked. Maybe the worm was just in there, but it was very messy.

Restaurant on the edge of an allotment garden with a view of Frankfurt and the television tower. The furnishings/decoration are a bit cluttered and older, but loving. The service was very friendly. The potatoes with green sauce were great. We'd love to come back.

Was there with friends to eat schnitzel. All schnitzels were “honest schnitzels”. We found price/performance okay. The service was really great. We are already looking forward to the beer garden season. We can easily reach the restaurant by bike.

We were able to sit in the garden today in the nice weather. It was really nice. Almost full and the employees were busy. But they handled it brilliantly. The food was very tasty.

The restaurant was lovingly decorated for Easter and had a lovely atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive. The asparagus with hollandaise sauce was a decent portion and tasty. The rump steak was tender and juicy and the Tafeispitz was as it should be. Only the green sauce was a bit light. I can unreservedly recommend the Feldbergblick. Gladly again.

The Feldbergblick is an institution. Good food, great ambience. The food was delicious as always. However, I noticed two little things. In the past, your wardrobe was taken away and a drink was forgotten.

One of our favorite restaurants for years. Nice staff and good food. Priced a little above average, but always delicious. There is a suitable dish for everyone, although our experience is that local (Frankfurt) dishes at the Feldbergblick are a house specialty and the chef succeeds better than, for example, a Wiener Schnitzel. Tip after dinner: the hazelnut schnapps is amazing!

Super friendly staff, very inviting beer garden with a view of the Ginnheim asparagus. The veal schnitzel was super fried and tender. Special requests were dealt with in a relaxed, matter-of-fact manner.

Got a table for 3 people without a reservation, very friendly staff, we sat outside and felt very comfortable, umbrellas were open, we drank delicious Hugo, the grill plate was very tasty, toilets were clean and it smelled good, been there on 7/2023 "We'd love to come back."

Beautiful and cozy garden restaurant with very nice staff. The food is good - but unfortunately the prices are completely exorbitant because many products are "bucket goods" (e.g. sauces). Nevertheless, we had a nice and delicious evening there.

We were there at Christmas and you walk through a beautifully decorated garden with quiet musical sounds. In the restaurant itself you are greeted and served by very friendly staff and it is also beautifully decorated. The food was excellent and there was something for everyone. Price / offer: Very good. Children are addressed lovingly here and their little wishes are taken into account. Only recommended

My Wiener Schnitzel for 26 euros was disappointing and out of the deep fryer.

It was again very tasty and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Only the mulled wine was very expensive. The drinks at Fam Weber were very expensive, 0 5 apple wine €6.00, blackcurrant spritzer 0.4 €6.00 Now with the new tenant, the drinks are a little cheaper

The goose dinner in the Feldbergblick restaurant was an outstanding experience. The service was first class and the staff extremely attentive. The cozy atmosphere contributed to an overall pleasant stay. The goose breast and the goose leg were perfectly prepared, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The side dishes were masterfully coordinated and complemented the main course in a delicious way. The selection of drinks, including wine accompaniment, rounded off the culinary experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Ich war heute an St. Martin mit meiner Schwester und Schwager zum Gans essen dort. Das Beste was uns seit langem passiert ist. Angefangen bei dem super netten Personal das wunderbare Essen und das schöne Ambiente. Ein großes Dankeschön an das gesamte Personal für diesen schönen Abend.

Hatten alle Hirschgulasch. Es war lecker aber sehr wenig. 5 Stücke Fleisch, 2 kleine Knödel. Kein Salat vorher. Schade für doch viel Geld.

Sehr schneller und angenehmer Service, aber nicht aufdringlich. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und ich uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Ambiente eigentlich sehr schön und liebevoll dekoriert. Allerdings ist die Halloween Deko für mein Gefühl zu extrem.

Hatte einen tollen Nachmittag im wunderschönen Garten des Restaurants. Essen war sehr lecker. Freundliche Bedienung und es war ein sehr entspannter Nachmittag.

Vorab: Wir hatten mit 5 Personen im tollen Biergarten reserviert. Da meine Frau und ich aber tropfnass ankamen bekamen wir innen einen Tisch. Service sehr gut. Essen ebenfalls sehr gut. Fünf verschiedene Gerichte und alle einwandfrei. Lokal und regionale Küche. Steinpilze hatte unsere Servicekraft am Morgen noch im Taunus gesammelt. Im bin Frankfurter, wohne aber in Kaiserslautern. Komme gerne wieder.

War jetzt mehrfach mit Freunden in diesem schönen Lokal, sowohl im dem sehr schönen Biergarten als auch innen,in diesem tollen Ambiente. Wir waren immer zum Abendessen da und wurden sehr schnell und zügig bedient.Manchmal war die Bedienung so schnell, dass wir die Karte kaum gelesen hatten. Alle Gerichte, waren sehr schmackhaft und wurden in kurzer Zeit serviert. . Auch kamen aller Gerichte immer gleichzeitig, dass wir alle in der Gruppe gleichzeitig essen konnten.

Ein Rumpsteak 300 Gr € 27.- ganz allein und trocken auf dem Teller. Beilagen gehen extra: Bratkartoffeln (total maschtig) € 4.- Beilagensalat € 5,50 Für diesen Preis gibt es in anderen Restaurants sehr viel Besseres.

The food is outstanding!!! I discovered this gem on my 3rd visit to Germany, and it is beyond amazing. The service was excellent, and the best meal I’ve had in Germany. The ambiance of the gardens is so charming. Very friendly and helpful wait staff. I speak no German, but this was not a problem at all. On our second visit we had desert only, and it did not disappoint! Go eat there, enjoy the gardens and the food, you will not be disappointed!

Outstanding food and service. Best meal we’ve had in years, and certainly the best of our visit to several countries in recent weeks. Markus was a gracious and accommodating server, truly a delight. Green sauce was excellent, and of our entrees, the jagertopf “hunters bowl” (pork loin with a mushroom sauce and spatzle) was exceptional. We shared a desert of apple rings ( which is really a donut with an apple ring in the middle, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream and berries). One order was perfect for the three people. If I didn’t live in another country, I’d be back tomorrow.

ABSOLUT KEINE EMPFEHLUNG!!!!! ABSOLUT KEINE EMPFEHLUNG!!!!!! Wir hatten rechtzeitig eine Feier angemeldet, sind vorab noch einmal im Restaurant gewesen, um Details zu besprechen. Da konnte man uns noch nichts über die Anordnung der Tische sagen. Daher wurde 2 Tage vor der Feier telefonisch nachgefragt und gewünscht, die Tische in einer geraden Reihe anzuordnen. Falls dies aus Platzgründen nicht möglich sein würde, wollten wir angerufen werden hinsichtlich der Sitzordnung, die sehr viel Fingerspitzengefühl und Planung erfordert. Es erfolgte KEINE der Absprache widersprechende Aussage. Man hat in L-Formation gestellt, und es fehlte ein weiterer Tisch, da 2 Gedecke fehlten (trotz der seit Anfang angegebenen Anzahl der Gäste!). Mein Unmut war nicht zu übersehen, war ich doch gezwungen, schnell eine neue Sitzplatz-Ordnung zu erstellen und diese noch vor Eintreffen der ersten Gäste zu installieren.Von der Chefin wurde mir sofort frech über den Mund gefahren, anstelle, daß man sich entschuldigt hätte. Eine gerade Tischanordnung wäre an der Stirnseite des Raumes möglich gewesen. Ich hatte allerdings von Anfang an den Eindruck, daß die Chefin sehr dominant ist und ihr eigenes Ding unbedingt durchziehen will. Es war nur ein Besteck pro Gast eingedeckt, obwohl wir klargemacht hatten, daß unsere Gäste z. B. Suppe, Zwischengang, Hauptgang usw. nach eigenem Geschmack wählen dürfen. Mein Hinweis, daß das mehr Unruhe schafft, neues Besteck über die Schultern der Gäste hinweg aufzulegen, nachdem die Vorspeise verzehrt worden ist, wurde uns sehr geschäftstüchtig - obwohl wir das im Vorfeld abgelehnt hatten - eine Vorspeisenauswahl aufgeschwatzt. Bereits vordem die Gäste diese Vorspeisenplatten auf den Tischen zu Gesicht bekamen, um entscheiden zu können, ob sie noch eine Hauptspeise und ggf. Nachspeise und dann Käse wollen und auch "schaffen", wurde die Bestellung der Hauptgerichte aufgenommen. Dazu wurde von der Chefin ein Wein empfohlen. Wir wurden wir vorab nicht gefragt. Das grenzt an Nötigung. Die Gäste, auch solche, die keine Weintrinker sind, beugten sich diesem "Diktat". Wir haben dieses ungute Spiel nicht gestoppt, um die Stimmung bei unseren Gästen nicht zu trüben, auch nicht, als geschäftig ständig nachgeschenkt wurde, obwohl die Gläser teils noch halbvoll waren. (Weinpreis ca. 3 - 4 x höher als Preis von Bier oder Saft!!!!!) Diese "Geschäftstüchtigkeit" ist vielen unserer Gäste äußerst unangenehm aufgefallen. Genauso wie die unsägliche Duzerei und die Anrede mit "Engelchen" oder "Mädchen" durch die Chefin. Meine Überlegung, wo man es lernt, derart derb und ungeniert den Gästen das Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen, läßt uncharmante Assoziationen aufkommen... Zu allem Überfluß wurde ich dann bei der Verabschiedung von der "Chefin" nochmals "belehrt", ich solle mich nicht aufregen. Eine Frechheit, die ich nicht hinnehme. Lediglich im Hinblick darauf, daß sich unsere Gäste wohlfühlen sollten, bin ich über die übergriffige und freche Art hinweggegangen. Mir tut es leid um die übrigen Servicekräfte, die durch die Bank freundlich und auch gut ausgebildet ihren Service dort verrichten. Immerhin erhebt das Restaurant für sich ja äußerlich den Anschein, keine Beize/Kneipe zu sein. Das Verhalten der Chefin drückt den Eindruck jedoch um mindestens 3 Klassen herunter.

Wir waren zu Geburtstagsessen in kleiner Familienrunde mit insgesamt 7 Personen meiner über 80-jährigen Mutter eingeladen. Es war dort nicht die erste Einladung zu einer Geburtstagsfeier meiner Eltern. Vor vier Jahren waren wir das letzte Mal dort... Mein Mann, meine Tochter und ich waren noch nie von dieser"Location" begeistert. Dies betrifft insbesondere die Speisen. Vorweg: Speisekarte wurde spät gereicht, keine Getränkekarte. In der Speisekarte waren keine kennzeichnungspflichtigen Zusatzstoffe verzeichnet (Gilt auch für den Internetauftritt). Es werden hier überwiegend beim Fleisch und Fisch TK-Produkte von minderer Qualität verwendet. Cordon bleu, Schnitzel in verschiedenen Varianten etc. Diese allesamt merklich aus der Friteuse. Die Saucen sind Fertigsaucen mit künstlichem Glutamat (riecht man schon direkt) und teilweise pampig. Salate waren sehr frisch, allerdings war das Dressing schlecht. Meine Tante hatte ein Lachsfilet, dieses musste reklamiert werden, da es innen total noch roh war. Schien so, direkt aus der Tiefkühltruhe kurz in der Pfanne geschwenkt. Das "Nacharbeiten" brachte auch nicht den gewünschten Effekt. Unsere Tochter hatte Spätzle mit "Bratensauce", von dieser Speise hat sie nur wenig gegessen wegen der Zubereitung und des Geschmacks. Kurz danach klagte sie über heftige Übelkeit und Schwindel, so haben mein Mann und ich kurz darauf die Aussenlokalität verlassen. Ich hatte "Büffelmozarella" mit Tomaten und Basilikum. O.K. es war geniessbar, der Balsamico war hier auch wieder von absolut minderwertiger Qualität. Insgesamt war die Würzung der Speisen sehr dezent. Zum Abschluss Cappuccino und Espresso. Cappuccinotassen (teilweise Cappuccino lauwarm) ziemlich lediert mit einigen Macken und der Espresso wurde in Kaffetassen serviert. Einige Dinge haben mein Mann und ich freundlich angesprochen sowie auch meine Tante.
