Good food in a pleasant atmosphere

Despite the extremely high volume of customers this evening, the service was perfect and the food was excellent.

A very nice place, friendly staff, I go there regularly in the afternoon as a tea room.

Tucked away in the shadow of the Europaturm (Ginnheimer Spargel), this beautiful and lovingly decorated restaurant is located in the middle of an allotment garden. The menu is very varied and offers something for every taste. All dishes are fresh and high-quality. The service is first-class and prompt. The prices are reasonable. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Also suitable and equipped for larger groups and private events. Dogs are welcome. Beautifully maintained outdoor area with seasonal decorations.

The location is great any time of year and worth a visit! The service is pleasant, fast, and friendly. But unfortunately—and I hate to say this—the quality of the food has noticeably declined compared to the previous owner. And that's at the usual high prices. That deducts one star, but we'll definitely give Feldbergblick at least one more chance!

As a regular visitor to various restaurants, I have to say I was somewhat disappointed by the quality and quantity of the food. The quantity may be due to the somewhat older clientele. There was a mix-up when ordering drinks and food, so one of the eight people didn't receive their meal until the others had already finished. In my opinion, the value for money here isn't right, and the ambiance probably won't suit everyone's taste, but that's secondary.

Great!!! I'm at a loss for words... during this time (coronavirus), the chef here is making a special effort. I received a friendly welcome outside, and the chef behind the window took my order. He was very accommodating to my requests, practically creating my own menu. I really hope he survives this time. Of course, the food was also delicious, everything freshly prepared and perfectly seasoned. Thank you very much!

Very good, delicious food! I had the "Dreckschaufel" (basically a grilled platter with various steaks, bacon, and sausages, along with fries, fried potatoes, and salad). I was completely satisfied and went home full. Thank you very much. We'll be back!

We had a lovely and cozy evening here. The food was fantastic; a great selection and top quality – from appetizer to dessert!

Last week, we rounded off our company outing with 85 people at the Feldbergblick restaurant and had a truly wonderful evening. Due to the unsettled weather, we unfortunately had to go indoors, but it was beautifully decorated with fresh roses on every table. The staff did an excellent job, and the food was delicious. After dinner, we were able to enjoy the beautiful beer garden. The atmosphere there is simply wonderful. I personally haven't been to the Feldbergblick in a long time because it seemed a bit too pretentious for me recently. Now, under new management, I will be going back more often. Many thanks again to the entire team. I've also received nothing but positive feedback about the location from my colleagues.

Great menu, great craftsmanship and super delicious

A shadow of its former self – that wouldn't have happened at Weber's. First, the positive: the garden is still as beautiful as it used to be. We came here quite often with our whole family and friends. That's about it. The service and the food are abysmal, nothing like they used to be. Ordering for two people was actually quite simple: 1 bottle of water, 2 glasses of wine, 1 soup as a starter, and 2 main courses. For one of the main courses, we had to consult the menu, otherwise the order would have been wrong. After a (very) long time, the serving process began with the soup. Surprisingly, we discovered that no drinks had been served yet. After a while, two glasses of wine and one bottle of water arrived, but the glasses (???) were missing, which were then delivered later. Eventually, the main courses arrived, and my wife's order was OK. Unfortunately, everything in my meal was wrong except for the side dish. They apologized and left with the plate. After my wife had already eaten half of it, my meal arrived, but unfortunately, the side dish was now wrong. Due to the time that had passed and my hunger, I decided not to order another order. We wanted to have another glass of wine, but we couldn't place our order until they finally cleared the dishes after about 20 minutes. However, this order was completely lost and had to be reordered. I would rate the quality of the food as (below) average at most, as some of the dishes were, in my opinion, made from a pre-made recipe (frozen schnitzel), etc. All in all, it was awful service, which we also observed at other tables, where they tried to take orders without the guests ever having seen a menu. It's very sad that the Weber family's life's work is being continued in such a poor manner.

Nice ambiance and good, home-style food. During our visit, some dishes were forgotten; the herb butter for the beef fillet arrived only after the meat had already been eaten. Service was friendly, but could be more professional.

Lovely restaurant with a beer garden located very close to the Ginnheim TV tower. Good selection of dishes.

New owners who don't place much emphasis on quality. Cheap toast with the appetizers. Prawn cocktail and croquettes, welcome to the seventies.

There were 20 of us, and we ordered à la carte. There was no long wait, and everyone's food arrived at the same time. Respect. The service was very attentive.

The Feldbergblick is an absolute institution in Frankfurt! The delicious food, the super friendly service, and the beautiful garden at the foot of the TV tower have been a favorite retreat for us for many years, where we know what we're getting! Every visit is crowned by LAL's amazing service and his always warm welcome and friendliness! We'll be happy to come back!

July 18, 2025 The most beautiful moment of our family life was enhanced on this day at this location. We celebrated our wedding with our closest family at the Feldbergblick and were truly thrilled by Mr. Lal and the entire team. Our guests and family were looked after and served to the highest standards. Our ideas for the table layout were not only implemented but also enhanced with creative ideas. The ambiance in the beautiful garden was appreciated by everyone and noted as a wonderful highlight. We can only say that we highly recommend everyone to celebrate their special day here. I ordered my steak rare, and for €34 I was hoping they’d at least come close. Unfortunately, what arrived was a touch over well done ahaha. That said, it’s a lovely spot with friendly service, but next time I’ll stick with the schnitzel

We sat outside in the garden. The seating is very pleasant. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. I had a steak that tasted of the pan it was cooked in. It tasted a bit like clarification. The potatoes that came with the herring were just okay. Otherwise, you can't really go wrong. All in all, the food was okay at best. You can go there once, but you don't have to. We had hoped the new owner would make more of it, because the location is top-notch.

Hello, We have chosen the Feldbergblick Restaurant as our wedding location for June 28, 2025. We had our initial meeting months in advance and were warmly welcomed by Mr. Altunbas. The meeting went very well, everything was very straightforward. We were given great menu suggestions, and I must say, we agreed right away. Our menu, which is beautifully designed, looks beautiful (I, of course, took it home as a souvenir, as did some of our guests :) We have a variety of fantastic antipasti (starters), three different main courses...fish, meat, and vegetarian to choose from, and then, to cool things down, a delicious sorbet dessert trilogy for our friends and family. All my wishes regarding decorations, table arrangements, etc. were taken into account, and everything was very straightforward. One day before the wedding, we submitted our personal and individual decorations for the table decorations and general decor. Here, we were introduced to a very nice employee who was responsible for catering and administration of our wedding reception the next day. *Kathrin ;)* Kathrin took all my wishes into account and implemented them 100%. We will never forget our wedding reception; it was a wonderful, sunny, and fantastic day at Feldbergblick. We received a warm welcome and all the best wishes from all the staff. All of our friends and family complimented us and thanked us for allowing us to spend this wonderful day with them in such a wonderful location, with great food and a special atmosphere. In the evening, when it gets dark, the ambiance with the beautiful lighting is simply magical and beautiful. We are very happy that we chose the Feldbergblick restaurant for our special day. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Altunbas and his Feldbergblick team and are already looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Very nicely located restaurant with delicious food.

Well, it was okay for a cup of coffee. The food was probably pre-made and not very tasty. The fried potatoes were okay, the salad was okay, but the dressing was boring. The service was inattentive and at times visibly unfriendly.

A truly lovely restaurant with a fantastic beer garden in an allotment garden. The friendly service was really prompt. Good, home-style food at reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back.

We received a very friendly welcome and were immediately impressed by the location: a small oasis that evokes a real holiday feeling – truly beautifully done and superbly maintained! The service was also consistently warm, attentive, and very courteous. We particularly appreciated the clear menu, which consists of a well-chosen standard menu and a weekly special. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the area. We ordered Wiener Schnitzel and drinks. Very pleasant: The friendly waiter informed us in advance that the portions were quite large – this was helpful, as my wife also wanted to try Kaiserschmarrn. The small salad beforehand was apparently included, which we considered a nice gesture. Unfortunately, the food was a bit of a disappointment. The schnitzel was large, but the veal wasn't pounded well, making it quite thick and tough. The breading seemed more like fried than buttered – neither fluffy nor particularly flavorful. The fried potatoes were cold and unfortunately quite mushy. There was lemon, but the typical cranberries were missing. I also had green sauce with my schnitzel, which was also a disappointment. The Kaiserschmarrn was okay – light and airy, but with room for improvement. The vanilla sauce unfortunately tasted quite artificial, probably from a Tetra Pak, and the cherries were sitting in a rather watery broth. The bottom line: An absolute dream location with an extremely friendly team that deserves 5 out of 5 stars – you really feel at home here. The food, on the other hand, unfortunately only gets 2 out of 5 stars. With a little more attention to detail and a bit more craftsmanship in the kitchen, they could really make this place great. It's a shame – but the interpersonal experience was all the more wonderful for it!

Great location, very good food, and friendly service—what more could you want? The menu offers a generally good selection, with local specialties like the Frankfurter Schnitzel with green sauce or the "Frankfurter Dreckschaufel" (a mixed platter with shashlik sauce) highly recommended!

If I could, I would give it 6 stars. The restaurant is a bit hidden, but decorated with great love. All the waitresses were very nice, polite and quick to respond - you can tell they really enjoy their job. There were 7 of us, the food was brought very quickly and to everyone at the same time. We asked for an extra beef roll - it was just great. The asparagus was cooked to perfection. Everyone was happy. We decided: we will definitely come back.

Decent schnitzel, very nice ambience and very good service.

We were in this restaurant with friends, decided to order schnitzels - and did not regret it one bit! All the schnitzels were generous, home-cooked, without excess fat, with crispy breading and soft meat inside. Real "honest schnitzels", as it should be in a good establishment. The portions are large, no one left hungry. The price/quality ratio is quite decent, especially considering the size and taste of the dishes.

If it's warm enough, you can sit and eat in a beautiful garden. Everything is very well-kept. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable.

We were there for dinner last night. The food was OK. Prices are overpriced, but a lot of it is convenient. On their website 'fresh and regional' is advertised, possibly from the prepackaged to the pan. There are no 'homemade spaetzle'. Just like the hollaindaise sauce or the mushroom cream sauce. For me personally, prices are too high for finished products. The garden is very beautiful and cozy. Service was also friendly.

Went there for the first time with 2 dogs, it wasn't a problem, we sat outside in the great weather, service was very friendly and quick, I deducted 1 star from the food, because unfortunately the pork loin from the Jägertopf was fried to death, it's a shame about the meat, the food of my companion was great, the strawberry cup for dessert was also very tasty, good value for money except for the Jägertopf, but I'll be happy to visit the restaurant again at a later date, you shouldn't let the little things put you off... We are all just human :-)

Good food, good beer (they have Helles). We had a nice time, partially due to the good weather which I understand was rare from that time of the year. We got to stay outside and enjoy the good food and drinks. P. S. We had a reservation as we were quite a big party. I was just a guest.

The Feldbergblick has its charm and with the possibility of eating outside, it has always been a popular meeting place for us, so I meet there with friends 2-3 times a year. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the food has deteriorated a lot, I've always been a fan of the large dirt shovel and have ordered that almost exclusively, but since the last two visits I've been pretty disappointed. The dirt shovel has lost massively in size and the amount of lettuce has increased. I don't think it's that bad, but the old, well-made fried potatoes weren't such a hit last time and this time they were a complete disappointment. Boiled potatoes are sautéed briefly in the pan and frozen vegetables are used to top it all off, but I expect that to be a little better in this price range.

Very tasty food at fair prices. Unfortunately the waitress was inattentive, he preferred to look at his cell phone. The restaurant is lovingly decorated inside and out. Toilets can only be accessed from outside, which is a bit uncomfortable when it's cold.

You can't go wrong with schnitzel dishes. I was in the restaurant with a large group, but the drinks and food still went quite quickly. Espresso and dessert are also recommended.

Yesterday I was at Feldbergblick for the first time. We had reserved a table for 14 people, which was also confirmed in writing. Unfortunately the reservation was forgotten. It wasn't a problem for us, but the Indian waiter treated us in a very unfriendly way. He would have liked us to leave. We made suggestions and helped how we could still sit together. We then squeezed ourselves together at a table that was far too narrow. No problem at all, but when one of us asked what was vegetarian or vegan, he said nothing, she should just order a salad. The food was OK. Later we were looked after by another waiter, and that was much more pleasant. All in all, the Feldberg view is okay. You can go, but you don't have to.

Wir hatten ein Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb und Grüne Soße mit 4 halben Eiern und Petersilienkartoffeln bestellt. Das Essen wurde bereits nach knapp 5 Minuten serviert. Das Schnitzel (fester langer Lappen) war eine absolute Zumutung. Völlig geschmacklos und derart heiß aus der Mikrowelle, dass es ungenießbar war. Wir haben über viele Jahre bei den Vorgängern (Fam. Weber) das Wiener Schnitzel immer in guter Qualität bekommen. Nun zu dem anderen Gericht. Die grüne Soße und die hartgekochten Eier waren eiskalt direkt aus dem Kühlschrank auf den Teller gekommen. Die Salzkartoffeln hingegen waren „frisch“ aus der Mikrowelle. Das heißt von außen eine harte Kruste, innen noch roh. Schlimmer geht nimmer. Wir werden dieses Lokal mit Sicherheit nicht mehr aufsuchen. Wir waren jahrelang gerne zu Gast bei Familie Weber. Traurig, dass die Webers nun sehen müssen, wie ihr Lebenswerk heruntergewirtschaftet wird. Schade!

Really cute restaurant, right in the gardens under the Ginnheim asparagus. Friendly staff and the food was very tasty. With outside tables in summer. We'd love to come back. Well and then the “big dirt shovel” (see picture) is so delicious.

The food was just okay...I was clearly hoping for something better. The service was neutral, tended to be rather unfriendly, rolling your eyes, just reaching over you, etc. The location itself was old-fashioned and staid..

A particularly beautiful location, both inside and outside, full of loving details. The front garden is always particularly beautifully decorated. The food is home-style, very good.

Gestern war ich mit meiner Familie zum ersten Mal im Restaurant „Feldbergblick“ essen. Der Besuch erfolgte auf Empfehlung, die jedoch auf Erfahrungen basiert, die einige Jahre zurückliegen. Ich habe ein Wiener Schnitzel „original“ mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat als Beilage bestellt. Wir waren insgesamt sechs Personen, die anderen haben Gerichte wie „Dreckschaufel“, „Paprikaschnitzel“ und „Waliser Schnitzel“ gewählt. Als mein Wiener Schnitzel serviert wurde, war ich enttäuscht: Es sah aus wie ein minderwertiges Tankstellen-Schnitzel – und das ist noch schmeichelhaft, denn Tankstellenschnitzel sehen und schmecken oft besser. Das Fleisch war völlig geschmacklos, und die Panade klebte so fest am Fleisch, dass es, wie ein anderer Gast treffend anmerkte, wie ein Lappen aussah. Auf meine Beschwerde hin zeigte sich der Kellner überrascht und wollte den Chef informieren. Dieser stand jedoch völlig desinteressiert in der Nähe und ließ sich nicht blicken. Für 25,50 € bekam ich ein schlecht zubereitetes Tiefkühlschnitzel serviert. Die restlichen Gerichte waren ebenfalls enttäuschend – wir hätten alle lieber bei McDonald’s gegessen. Dort hätten wir für knapp 60 € gewusst, was wir bekommen, anstatt hier fast 170 € für schlechte Qualität zu zahlen. Falls der Chef des Restaurants den Film „Ratatouille“ gesehen hat und glaubt, dass tatsächlich jeder kochen kann, muss ich ihn enttäuschen: Das ist nur ein Kinderfilm, und die Realität sieht anders aus. Nein, kochen kann definitiv nicht jeder.

Very nice restaurant, right in the allotment garden area. With a nice beer garden. The overall atmosphere is very loving and functional. The service was excellent and the food was great. All in all a nice evening. There are no direct parking spaces, but they are available in the area. Toilets are clean and there are even baby changing facilities.

We were there for the first time and found the food delicious. The waitress/waitress met our needs very much and made us feel at home. Thank you!

I was really looking forward to the restaurant, but unfortunately the food didn't really impress me. It all takes a while. You have to proactively draw attention to yourself if you want to order something else. Location is nice. If you're in the corner you can also eat something here, I wouldn't go there just for the food

Very nice atmosphere and good service. Menu mushrooms alla cream with dumplings was not recommended. Very firm dumpling! One had the feeling that it was not freshly prepared. Some of the fried potatoes were so dark and overcooked. Maybe we can still work on it😉

We were there on Sunday about 1 1/2 weeks ago. At first we were greeted very rudely because we wanted to sit outside. A table was then reluctantly set for us. When I asked what kind of beer you had, the waiter was very annoyed. I have to say that we didn't even get a drinks menu, only one with food. When the orders were ready, we were ignored most of the time. 2 out of 3 meals came very quickly, we didn't even have to wait 10 minutes. But instead of bringing all three meals, we had to wait for one. Ergo...the other 2 dishes were cold. Well, you can or have to live with it. But the food was subpar. 2 out of 3 dishes were probably already waiting, otherwise they wouldn't have been there so quickly, but this restaurant doesn't value fresh products either. We had this dirt shovel twice and the over-baked schnitzel once. The vegetables were frozen goods that hadn't even been warmed up properly, the fried potatoes (some with peel and some without) weren't even a touch crispy and I had exactly 5 fries on my plate. The meat looked like a dog and the amount that was on it wasn't worth 20 euros. The schnitzel was so drowned with sauce hollondais that you couldn't taste anything else. The Souce Hollondais wasn't even declared on the menu. All in all, we hadn't eaten something so bad for a long time....!!!! When the waiter came to clear away the food (our drinks were already empty at this point, and we actually wanted to have a drink with our meal but unfortunately, as already mentioned, we were ignored) we asked him if we liked it. ..NO.... He just replied OK. and sent the boss to us. He then told us that he couldn't understand why it didn't taste good and that his chef had been there for years and always did it that way. (I have to say that we had someone with us who has known the store for a long time and has been there often in the past.) He then contradicted the boss, who continued to try to talk things out. What he said all the time was that we should come back and get a second picture. But after this experience and the behavior of the staff, it was over for us. We pointed out so many deficiencies that any other restaurant operator would have said, OK. I'll take this or that off the bill. But nothing. We were then offered a coffee which we declined. To top it all off, things that we didn't even have were added to the bill!! We only noticed this when we got to the car and looked at the bill again. So we went back and the waiter came to meet us with the money we overpaid. But instead of apologizing, he just said what was too much and gave us the money and then quickly ran back. We would like to apologize because something went wrong. But nothing came of that direction. So as a tip, check your bill directly on site or go somewhere else. You can save the money. It was supposed to be a nice Sunday with our friend, but it was really ruined by this restaurant. Thanks for nothing!!!

Wir waren zu viert am Abend dort. 3 Personen haben ein Wiener Schnitzel bestellt, eine Person Salat mit Hähnchenbrust. Das Wiener Schnitzel war das mieseste, dass ich jemals irgendwo gegessen habe. Vorpaniert fertig aus der Tiefkühl-Tüte und frittiert. Nichts aber auch gar nichts, von dem, was ein Wiener Schnitzel haben muss, konnten wir feststellen. Keine fluffige Panade, kein zarter Biss. Stattdessen ein flacher, zäher Lappen, auf den wir gern verzichtet hätten. Die Hähnchenbrust auf dem Salat sah übrigens auch aus, als wenn sie fertig paniert aus der Tiefkühltüte kam. Zum Wein kann ich ergänzen, dass unsere Nachfragen nach den Sorten, da sie nicht auf der Karte standen, und es offensichtlich keine Weinkarte gab, wie folgt beantwortet wurde: Ich: Welchen Weißwein haben Sie denn? Kellner: Riesling und Grauburgunder und Grünen Veltliner. Ich: Aus welcher Region ist der Riesling? Kellner: Hier aus der Gegend. Ich????? Und der Grauburgunder? Kellner: auch hier aus der Gegend. Die sind alle hier aus der Gegend, nur der Grüne Veltliner, der ist nicht von hier. ……. Vielleicht sollte man dem Kellner mal erklären, dass Weine hier aus der Gegend (Frankfurt am Main) bedeuten kann, dass die u.a. aus der Pfalz, dem Rheingau oder aus Rheinhessen kommen können. Das macht einen Unterschied.. Für uns allerdings nicht mehr, weil wir garantiert nie wieder in dieses Lokal gehen werden.

We were just there and accidentally wrote a 3 star review - the restaurant is excellent, the food is delicious, the service is great. At first we had a very young waiter who was great, in the end an older gentleman came to serve and he simply forgot to bring my third Benedictine Hell. However, this was a very minor downer. We definitely recommend visiting the Feldbergblick, it's lovely to sit there and the food and drinks are delicious

Only if you were lucky did you get a table in the beer garden, unfortunately without a parasol. Very nice location in the immediate vicinity of the "Ginnheimer Spargel". Price-performance ratio fits. Relaxed atmosphere.

I have known this restaurant at the "Spargel" with German cuisine for at least 40 years, which is also well attended by an older crowd at lunchtime. It's best to take the bus or take a walk - finding a parking space is a matter of luck. Beautiful outdoor area, lovingly decorated inside (it's too much for me). The food has gone down a lot lately - 2024 (new owner). Unfortunately no longer recommended

We have now been to this restaurant more often and are very impressed with the good German food. The portions are very large. You will always be full here. I can highly recommend the Jägertopf or the schnitzel! The staff were a bit harsher last time, probably because it was very busy. We'll still be back!

This is a very nice and romantic restaurant. The service was friendly, but the schnitzel was too dry and came out of the deep fryer.

Food is tasty, but a bit more expensive. Unfortunately the service didn't work at all that day, even though there were four of them. No one came to us for the first 20 minutes, even though we were seen. We then picked up the menu ourselves. Both with the drinks, as well as with the food and dessert: things arrived everywhere that hadn't been ordered or others were simply forgotten, and they didn't come even when asked. Maybe the worm was just in there, but it was very messy.

Restaurant on the edge of an allotment garden with a view of Frankfurt and the television tower. The furnishings/decoration are a bit cluttered and older, but loving. The service was very friendly. The potatoes with green sauce were great. We'd love to come back.

Was there with friends to eat schnitzel. All schnitzels were “honest schnitzels”. We found price/performance okay. The service was really great. We are already looking forward to the beer garden season. We can easily reach the restaurant by bike.

We were able to sit in the garden today in the nice weather. It was really nice. Almost full and the employees were busy. But they handled it brilliantly. The food was very tasty.

The restaurant was lovingly decorated for Easter and had a lovely atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive. The asparagus with hollandaise sauce was a decent portion and tasty. The rump steak was tender and juicy and the Tafeispitz was as it should be. Only the green sauce was a bit light. I can unreservedly recommend the Feldbergblick. Gladly again.

The Feldbergblick is an institution. Good food, great ambience. The food was delicious as always. However, I noticed two little things. In the past, your wardrobe was taken away and a drink was forgotten.

I actually wanted to give 5 stars for the delicious food, the friendly service and the lovely ambience. But when I got home I discovered that we had been charged for a wine that we hadn't even drunk...

One of our favorite restaurants for years. Nice staff and good food. Priced a little above average, but always delicious. There is a suitable dish for everyone, although our experience is that local (Frankfurt) dishes at the Feldbergblick are a house specialty and the chef succeeds better than, for example, a Wiener Schnitzel. Tip after dinner: the hazelnut schnapps is amazing!

Super friendly staff, very inviting beer garden with a view of the Ginnheim asparagus. The veal schnitzel was super fried and tender. Special requests were dealt with in a relaxed, matter-of-fact manner.
