We were there on Saturday. It was a wonderful evening in a very nice atmosphere. Delicious food, good prices and very friendly service! We have registered a small family celebration for September and are already looking forward to the evening!

Unfortunately, the schnitzels were fried a bit overambitiously and were therefore dry. The green sauce was tasty.

The woman at reception was very disinterested and more or less forgot about me once I was seated. After making eye contact with another waiter, he came over and took my order. However, half of the menu was no longer available, which I was only told after I wanted to order something that it was no longer available. I finally decided on a Wiener Schnitzel, which was unfortunately very small for the price and the breading tasted very much like pepper. I ordered a side salad with it, and unfortunately the carrots in it were definitely not fresh, but tasted like they had been pickled in something. I also ordered a juice and wasn't asked for size. The larger and therefore more expensive drink was simply brought. It didn't taste bad, but I don't think I'll come back here.

I highly recommend this restaurant, it is gluten free accommodating (salad made with turkey and no breaded coating. The salad and a glass of Apple Wine was superb. Staff is helpful and friendly. Located across from Best Western Plus in a historical building. What a gem!

Were in Frankfurt for 3 days in the hotel of the same name next door and had dinner there. Super nice staff and the food was delicious, we had 1 liter of cider, you could drink it but it wasn't to our taste but we tried it. Would eat there again in a heartbeat.

Very nice and original cider restaurant. In summer you can sit in the garden. The food is fresh and very tasty, Frankfurt and Hessian specialties, with regional ingredients. Very attentive and friendly service. Lovely again!

Delicious! We spontaneously fancied a gaddewirtschaft and were not disappointed! Food was good, the dishes were redesigned a bit individually because we wanted semolina sauce and it wasn't overpriced, it's just a gaddewirtschaft and not a star restaurant ;) always happy!! The knuckle was great!

Äußerlich lädt das sehenswerte mittelalterliche Gemäuer zur Einkehr ein. Der Innenhof mit stattlichen Kastanienbäumen könnte eigentlich auch heute noch ein Hingucker sein - wenn man denn viel von ihm sehen könnte. Aber etwa zwei Drittel des Hofes ist nun verstellt durch ein unansehnliches Kunststoffzelt, wie man es auf jedem x-beliebigen Festplatz finden könnte; ist man im Zelt, sieht man von den Kastanien so gut wie nichts (die unteren Stammstücke halt). Vom Innenhof übrig ist ein Streifen mit Biergartengarnituren; hier sieht man wenigstens die oberen Teile der herrlichen Bäume. Immerhin ist der Eingangsbereich geschmackvoll gestaltet. - Die "Spargelcremesuppe" zu 6 Euro hatte mit Creme = Sahne nichts zu tun, eine dünne Plärre ohne jedes Fitzelchen Spargel. Die schlechteste Spargelcremesuppe, die ich je gegessen habe. Eine Tütensuppe ist wesentlich geschmackvoller. Das Zwiebelschnitzel (Fleischqualität gut) kommt mit völlig überfettigen Bratkartoffeln; mit 17,90 Euro (ohne Salat!) viel zu teuer. Der Handkäs war in Ordnung. - Fazit: Das Lokal firmiert unter "Best Western Premier", aber es ist keine Werbung für diese Marke. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

I can highly recommend it. Service was very friendly and helpful. Here you were also asked how the food was. I only gave 4 stars for the ambience because it is a typical apple wine bar. And I wasn't even inside. For next time, I can give the last star. In any case, it was really tasty. Gladly again.

It gets better, the really positive thing was the young, very attentive waiter. 2 meals were good, 1 was just ok. But these are my own impressions.

Clocky inn - great service and very friendly staff who can sometimes have fun. 1 A Regional dishes - I chose the Friedberger Warte Schnitzel and was completely satisfied. I'm looking forward to my next visit to one of my photography course adventure days in Frankfurt.

Everything is ok, but I find €7.90 for a bottle of mineral water to be a rip-off and an impudence. Food and service great. Very cozy. You're welcome to go there, but you shouldn't drink water. Greetings FS

Delicious food and nice service. The food was served after a short wait. The ambience is inviting, but the dining room is a bit small. Unfortunately, the outdoor area was closed despite good weather. All in all, worth a visit. You can definitely do it again.

The Friedberger Warte is a very cozy pub with a nice beer garden for the summer. The service is very friendly and tries to fulfill all special requests. Unfortunately, the menu has become very small recently. A pity.

I was there in October. I was pleased with the whole experience. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Friendly and food was quite good. Love the atmosphere of the place as someone else has probably mentioned it kinda of hidden gem of a food establishment tucked away from the main roads but in the centre at same time. Definitely will revisit next time I am in Frankfurt again

Great restaurant! We booked a table online yesterday and received a very friendly welcome on site. The service was very good, very quick and always polite. We tested the Jägerschnitzel and the Kinderschnitzel with a side salad as well as the apple rings with cinnamon as dessert. The Äppler could not be missed either. We are very satisfied with the food, the ambience and the service and would like to come back.

Super cozy and delicious food! The fried potatoes were heavenly, the schnitzel was crispy and juicy, and the salad was just right. My first encounter with Ebbelwoi was a hit. The restaurant itself has a really nice old pub character with 600-year-old charm. Very nice host!

Leckeres authentische hessische Hausmannskost mit gutem vegetarischen Angebot in schönem Ambiente.

Wir haben kurzfristig ein Restaurant zum Abendessen gesucht. Da das Wetter nicht besonders war haben wir uns für die Friedberger Warte - etwa 500 m vom Hotel entfernt entschieden und wurden nicht enttäucht. Sehr nettes Personal, lecker Essen.

Rippchen mit Sauerkraut und Kartoffelstampf, sehr lecker ! Ambiente: eine typische Wirtschaft halt, aber im Sommer ist es draußen im Biergarten natürlich viel schöner...

Übers Essen können wir leider nichts sagen wollten auf einen Handkäs und Äppler einen Stop einlegen aber nachdem nach 20 min nicht einer eine Bestellung aufgenommen hat (bei 3 besetzten Tischen) sind wir unverrichteter Dinge wieder gegangen - schade!

Tolles Lokal, gemütlich, verschoben, heimelig. Tolle Angestellte, professionell, freundlich, flink. Grüne Soße ein Traum, Bratwurst sehr, sehr dunkel, Pommes und Bratkartoffeln recht salzig. Schnitzel ok, Jägersoße richtig gut.

Wir waren eine größere Gruppe abends am Di, 22.08.23. Einige von uns kamen später, orderten aber direkt nach Ankunft ihr Essen und die Getränke, da die Küche später nichts mehr annehmen würde. Nachdem alle ihr Essen bekamen, aber einige Speisen der Gruppe einfach vergessen wurden, (es wurde nur die Vorspeise gebracht oder eben gar nichts) man den Kellner darauf ansprach, hieß es nur: Was soll ich jetzt machen, dann geht das Essen auf meine Kosten oder was...dann hab ich halt heute nichts verdient.. ich kann Ihnen jetzt nichts mehr anbieten. "Aber wir haben doch alle im Zeitraum X bestellt, der Fehler liegt ganz klar nicht am Gast und Sie sagen einfach nur, ja da kann ich jetzt nichts machen, die Küche ist zu und kocht nicht mehr!"..WTF.. das Personal war absolut überfordert. By the way an unseren beiden Bierzeltgarnituren wurden zu dem noch 2x komplette Gläser abgeräumt..das kann passieren ok, aber trug nicht gerade zur Optimierung des Services bei. Hab ich ja noch nie gehört, dass nicht mal eine Entschädigung angeboten wurde. Wie sieht das denn aus, wenn einzelne Personen der Gruppe kein Essen bekommen, einfach so?.. Unser Geburtstagkind der Runde war mehr unterwegs in Gesprächen mit dem Personal um alles zu klären, statt sie mit bei uns mit an den Tischen saß. Wie die Küche mit dem Kellner Personal umging, möchte ich hier nicht näher thematisieren, kollegial ist definitiv anders! Wir haben dann untereinander unser Essen geteilt.. hungrig und unbefriedigt ging der Abend jedoch für einige von uns in diesem Laden zu Ende. Kurz vor Abrechnung kam der zuständige Kellner nochmal und schenkte uns dann doch eine Flasche Wein und 2 Runden Getränke aufs Haus. Wir waren dann auch die letzten Gäste im Hof und die Gastgeber zahlten. Draussen sind wir die RG durchgegangen und mussten feststellen, dass einige Gerichte trotzdem nochmal berechnet wurde, obwohl wir alle als Selbstzahler bereits gezahlt hatten. Also absolut unverschämt. Wir sind rein und haben nochmal 40 € einfach so auf die Hand zurück bekommen.. also da stimmte hinten und vorne gar nix! Keiner von uns war zuvor hier essen, obwohl wir alles Frankfurter sind.. das war definitiv der einzige und letzte Besuch dieser Gaststätte für jeden von uns.

Auch nach einem Jahr im Februar 2023 wieder mehrere Tage mit maximaler Bewertung. Der Wirt Christian mit tollem Service und sehr gutes Essen. Update März 2023: Schade, zum erstenmal hier um 20.34 Uhr kein Essen mehr bekommen obwohl andere Gäste noch beim Essen waren, also kein leeres Lokal. Den Hunger dann mit angebrannter Pizza an der Hotelbar gegenüber gestillt. Leider gibts in der Gegend keine Alternative. Mal schauen, ob ich die nächsten Male im Hotel mir Essen aus dem Supermarkt hole. Einfach nur schade für diesen Absturz. Update Mai 2023: Im Biergarten wieder besser. Daher wieder etwas angehoben . Update September 2023: Essen, Service wieder alles perfekt. Daher wieder volle Punkte.

Good food, fairly cheap and excellent service. Enjoyed this location with a very large group and the staff was very efficient and thoughtful. (@owner thank you for letting me know I accidentally placed a review about the hotel on the other side of the street where I stayed too, I've changed my review)

Be careful when you pay the bill. I had two bad experiences with the same person who collects the account. His behavior was very rude to the point that I had to get up from the table, confront him and raise my voice so he would let me speak. In the end the matter was solved, but the same thing happened with other people (Charging more than what was due). The waitresses are attentive, but the problem was with the person who charges. They shouldn't allow smoking at the tables. While we were eating, we had to put up with the bad smell and discomfort of cigarette smoke from other tables.

We ordered main dishes each person. And we wanted to share some food for others. When I asked additional empty dishes, it costs 1 euro per each. I am not sure it is normal in Frankfurt. At least I never had this experience.

Ein gemütlicher Gastgarten inmitten eines historischen Gebäudes, leckerer Apfelwein Spritz und eine überschaubare Speisekarte. Die Servicekräfte könnten dringend Unterstützung brauchen, sind aber trotz des Stresses sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend.

Das Essen war guter Durchschnitt, die Preise moderat. Das Ambiente hat mir gut gefallen. Am herausragendsten war für mich der Service. Freundlich, schnell, umsichtig und fehlerlos wurden unsere Bestellungen ausgeführt. (Firmenfeier mit 30 Personen). Und das nur mit Zettel und Stift. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend. 😀

Ich fand die Preise zu hoch. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Wir waren spontan hier, eine Reservierung für den Innenhof war kurzfristig leider nicht möglich, aber wir hatten Glück. Leider gab es an dem Abend nur eine abgespeckte Karte, für Vegetarier wenig Auswahl. Ich hatte ein Frankfurter Schnitzel und fand es sehr lecker. Das Radler, welches ich bestellt habe, schmeckte eher nach Bier, daher gab es direkt noch eine Limo dazu.

Sehr schönes Weinlokal mit guten Getränken und lecker Küche. Aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Gerne wieder bei Melonen nächsten Frankfurt Besuch

Enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was great. A bit pricey though.

Frankfurter Küche serviert in einem netten Innenhof. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam, leider etwas langsam, wofür aber die Angestellten nichts können! Es gibt zu wenig Menschen, die diesen Job machen wollen, dann müssen wir froh sein um die, die ihn freundlich und ambitioniert machen! Ich kann das Restaurant im Sommer empfehlen (auch bei Regen gibt es große Schirme .

Hatten zwei wunderbare Abende in der Friedberger Warte. Essen top (der beste Kartoffel Stampf, den ich je gegessen habe!) und der Service ist schlicht sensationell <3 immer wieder gerne.

Das Essen war sehr lecker,frisch zubereitet und ich kann die grüne Sauce ( typisch für Frankfurt!) mit Schnitzel sehr empfehlen. Der Service ist aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich. Preise sind okay, nicht günstig, aber auch nicht überteuert. Die Sitzplätze im überdachten Außenbereich sind dank ausgelegten Decken auch an kühlen Tagen in Ordnung. Reservierung wäre ideal.

Hier wartet man eindeutig viel zu lange auf sein Essen. Geschmacklich ganz gut, aber die Wartezeit von einer Stunde nicht wert.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, the decor and seating is cute. The restaurant offers authentic German cuisine, they have vegetarian and fish options (no halal meat though). Portions are good and prices are reasonable. Their season special asparagus was really good!

Schöne Apfelweinkneipe, bodenständigen Essen, netter und aufmerksamer Service..alles prima. ABER: 5,10 EURO für einen großen Sauergespritzten!!! Sorry, aber da ist die Schmerzgrenze inzwischen für mich überschritten. Wir werden da wohl baw nicht mehr hingehen.

Das Essen ist schon ganz lecker, aber ich finde die Preise sind etwas zu teuer. In der Warte sitzt man schön und windgeschützt. Der Apfelwein kommt aus einer Großkelterei.

We took our own atmosphere to this place as that made a good evening as we had most of the place booked out. Food was tasty although portions were small and, frankly, I can make better Schnitzels. Service to tables was good and friendly - although the man running the place was hostile to the point of rudeness (which is odd as his colleagues were friendly and they were making a load of money from over 60 of us). He actually does not seem to like customers - or perhaps just the British. Had to wait well over an hour for pre-ordered food (including for 30 11 and 12 year olds who were starving after a full day of sport) as they clearly wanted to sell as many drinks as they could first. It's convenient for the hotel opposite (Best Western) and the location is really nice.
