Very bad food and service, unfortunately.

The food was excellent, but the rude service completely ruined the evening. A real shame – with cuisine of this caliber, the service should be much more professional.

The steak doner was delicious, and the waiter was very quick and friendly. I will definitely come again.

The best yufka we've ever eaten. The mixed grill platters are also incredibly delicious. Plus, the staff is very friendly. We always love coming back.

I've been there three times already. Once I had a chicken doner kebab, which was very good. Once I had a beef yufka, well, in my opinion it was even bad. Once I had a tikka yufka, which was really good. Otherwise, the service was fast, a bit hectic because it was busy. But overall, it was great.

Sorry, I don't quite understand the hype. I can't comment on the meat dishes, but the veggie plate was rather disappointing, especially the hummus (regardless of the type) which I found almost inedible.

Delicious food, everything freshly prepared. Just the way I like it! I forgot to take a picture, I was too hungry. But the staff here are also incredibly friendly and lovely, so come on down and eat!

Very crowded and very loud; conversation was nearly impossible. What was particularly annoying was that those waiting in the room by the restaurant door were standing right next to the tables! The food and service were very good, the staff extremely friendly and attentive; definitely recommended.

We came from 200 km away and stopped because the place was highly recommended online. I don't regret it one bit!!! It was so delicious. The food arrived immediately and was served piping hot, which I love! We also got complimentary tea and baklava, which was homemade and also very good. Really good.

The kofta skewers taste good. The side salad and lentil soup are also delicious.

Currently, this is the best döner kebab in and around Freiburg, in my opinion. The selection is excellent, the service is quick and very friendly, and the taste is sensational. We ordered and picked it up, and we've even eaten there for lunch. They always serve very quickly after ordering, but once you're inside, it never feels rushed – simply fantastic!

We were there with four people. My husband's meal was good, and the children's was too. Unfortunately, I don't eat meat and ordered a vegetable yufka, but there were absolutely no vegetables in it. There were a lot of lettuce leaves and onions, that's it. Cheese and vegetables were missing, which was a shame. What was also unpleasant was that the windows/door were open and it was very cold. I must say, though, that the waiters were very polite and friendly. The quality is too high, but the price is too high. What a shame!

My personal impression is very positive. From the reservation process and the welcome, to the uncomplicated ordering, the delicious food, and the overall great atmosphere, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I highly recommend eating here. I'd gladly come again.

The staff were very friendly, the food was tasty but could have been seasoned better. The portions are huge for the price. Getting a seat during peak hours is a bit more difficult. We'll definitely come back.

The tuna pizza was incredibly delicious. Unfortunately, some of the onions still had the core attached. I also think €14 is overpriced. Otherwise, it was excellent!

Biggest point of criticism: You can't pay the waitstaff at your table; instead, you HAVE to pay at a single till at the front with 50 other people (who are picking up and paying). This is quite annoying when it's busy! I can understand why you're practically thrown out if you haven't finished eating after 30 minutes—there's a lot of turnover. This also means the entrance door is always open, which gets quite cold in winter, especially for children sitting near the till. The food itself isn't bad, but it's nothing special either. The yufka tastes like anything you'd find anywhere else, and they didn't even have steak doner on Sunday. 🤷 Personally, I don't think the hype is justified, but that's just my opinion!

The Pide Erbil was absolutely delicious, perfectly baked, and, most importantly, very filling – you can immediately tell that they place great value on good food. The atmosphere is lively and busy, but by no means unpleasantly loud. Despite the lively atmosphere, you can easily have a conversation, which I personally really appreciate. The price is absolutely fair for the quality offered. Overall, a very successful restaurant that I can definitely recommend – I'll gladly come back!

I'm a big fan of Erbil Freiburg. I went to the Erbil in the city center for the first time today. It was delicious again. The only thing that bothered me was that the floor was very greasy and the stairs to the restroom were really slippery and greasy, but the food was great.

Everything was great, the food was delicious, and at the end they even gave us complimentary tea.

A dream come true. I love this place. The food is outstanding. Very exclusive!

In my opinion, the food was between good and very good. I found the chicken absolutely amazing – very juicy and delicious. I would highly recommend it. The red meat, however, didn't quite reach the quality of the chicken skewer. It wasn't bad, but nowhere near as good as the chicken. Another big plus: when you order a plate, you get a small salad, three different dips, bread, and lentil soup as a starter. I thought that was a great bonus. The service was very friendly and quick, and the ambiance and atmosphere inside were very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The grilled dishes, in particular, are an absolute highlight, tender and bursting with flavor. The service also deserves high praise: The staff is very friendly and attentive, making you feel instantly welcome. You can tell right away that they work with passion. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very pleasant – clean, cozy, and perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or family. For me, it's one of the best restaurants ever. I'll definitely be back again and again!

This is where you'll find the best doner kebab in Freiburg, and probably one of the best anywhere. All the ingredients taste fresh, the meat is high-quality, the bread is homemade, and the sauces are delicious.

What a rip-off! I ordered a veal doner kebab to go and paid for it, but only discovered at home that it contained cheap chicken instead of veal – it tastes awful! I'm very disappointed and will never buy anything there again!!!

I recently visited Erbil Restaurant in Freiburg and was truly impressed! The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting; you immediately feel at ease. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, and they take their time for the guests. The food was simply outstanding – freshly prepared, perfectly balanced in flavor, and very authentic. I can especially recommend the grilled meat dishes and the appetizers. The portions are generous, and the value for money is definitely excellent. The cleanliness and ambiance also made a very good impression. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable visit. I will definitely be back and can highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates good Middle Eastern cuisine!

Best doner kebab in the area. For me, Erbil is the best of the best between Basel and Freiburg, and it's no wonder it's experiencing such a huge hype, which is almost certainly here to stay. The meat is hand-sliced, perfectly seasoned, and has a fantastic natural flavor. The sauces are subtle and complement the whole thing perfectly. The bread, both yufka and doner bread, is incredibly delicious, and the other ingredients are fresh and crisp. Always a delight! No matter how busy it is, the service is always friendly and attentive, almost like being part of the family. The food is very, very delicious and plentiful. We recommend the mixed grill platter ;) The meat is well-seasoned and varied, without losing its natural flavor. The lentil soup is also highly recommended. We're two big eaters and it was enough to satisfy both of us. Plus, the (free) parking situation in the immediate vicinity is excellent.

After about an hour, we were suddenly asked to leave, even though we were still enjoying our drinks – and we hadn't been told when we were seated that the table was reserved. Furthermore, we were seated directly in the passageway next to a constantly open door, so the cold air came straight in. I found this behavior extremely rude and annoying. While the waiter's subsequent offer of complimentary baklava was a kind gesture, it didn't undo the unpleasant situation. Clear communication beforehand would have completely avoided this problem!

Top-notch, very, very friendly, amazing food and fast service.

We wanted to experience the hype surrounding the Erbil Restaurant and reserved a table. The reservation got lost, even though we received a reminder on our phones... "Your table is being prepared for you..." We waited about 15 minutes in the cold and were then seated. There was no further attempt at accommodation, except that after ordering and once the food was on the table, we were informed that the table would be needed again in 45 minutes. Had we been told this before ordering, we would have left. Therefore, it wasn't possible to properly enjoy the meal. Naturally, we couldn't have dessert or order anything else, as there simply wasn't enough time. Not a pleasant experience. I haven't been able to find any information about a time limit for eating the food, nor was it mentioned when we made the reservation.
