Clean and well maintained, more of a restaurant than a kebab shop! Very tasty food, we ate kebab box and kebab for the first time (very tasty, best kebab I've had in a long time and: it's not cheap iceberg lettuce in the kebab salad but fresh leaf lettuce! cucumbers tomatoes and cabbage). The things that were otherwise on the plates were all visually appealing! Large portions.

Today is the second time here and I would like to share the good things about this local. The boys are all very friendly. The food was cooked on the punk and seasoned. The portions very generous. Personally, I think it's good that the prices are not that low. After all, you also get very high quality and great service. You shouldn't look for cheap, otherwise there won't be any good restaurateurs left. The effort has to pay off. Ambiance but clean and tidy. We always order too much because we can't decide. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

The Erbil restaurant is a real highlight in the Rieselfeld district. A nice ambience combined with great food makes this restaurant unique. We ordered a grill plate, which was really worth it: There are different meat skewers, a salad, bread, a soup and three different dips. A very extensive meal of very good quality. Conclusion: A really worthwhile restaurant in Freiburg that offers great cuisine at a good price. A recommendation goes out!

I was told to “go with your eyes closed” I should have opened them. I pretty much wasted my time and money. (My friends too) I was happy to try new concepts and taste Iraqi cuisine. The waiters were rude since I asked to change the accompaniment of the dish. My dish was a Koft Adana. HORRIBLE ! The meat is overcooked and so much fat has been added that the taste is too strong! For the salad, we had the impression that the cook opened a bunch of mixed lettuces, threw them in a bowl... added some kind of vinaigrette... and there were big clumps of chicory as big as my fist, Disgusting!!!! The bulgur that I had as a side dish was too dry and bland! I paid 19€ to finally eat a little lentil soup and some bread (included as a side dish) which at least was good.

Expected more after Holle's ranking. Bread wasn't crispy, meat wasn't crispy and a bit bland, sauce only in the first few bites and too much salad in the kebab. Lots of potential for improvement, wouldn't come back. Ezme tasted like Hella spice ketchup…. Staff but nice and Ayran also good.

Super friendly service with a good atmosphere. Food is good every time, no matter what time of day I was here. If something wasn't quite as desired, a small apology is immediately offered with a delicious tea and/or baklava.

You rarely get such a delicious kebab. The kebab had enough meat and it was clear that fresh ingredients were used. However, one unfortunately has to say that the service around it leaves a lot to be desired. It seemed as if the work of the employees was very poorly coordinated, which meant that I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to take my order. A quick look into the kitchen quickly makes it clear that hygiene is of little importance in this restaurant. In summary, one can say that although the kebab was almost perfect, the processes in the store still need a lot of improvement.

I went here through Holle with a colleague at 7:00 p.m. Felt like Mc Drive. Doner kebab was handed to us after 1 minute and was already demonstrated. Bread very very soft and overloaded with sauce - kebab broken open at the bottom. Staff very very nice

ERBIL is truly a place you have to experience. As soon as you enter you can tell that a lot of passion goes into it. The ambience is warm and inviting and you immediately feel at home. And then the kebab – simply unbeatable! The meat is perfectly seasoned and super juicy, and the homemade bread has that perfect mix of crunchy and soft. A highlight for me was that even the baking paper was homemade. This shows how much emphasis is placed on the small details here. You can simply taste that everything is fresh and prepared with love. But a real highlight is the little luxury you find in the bathroom. Who would have thought that Kneipp hand cream was available in five different varieties and five deodorants to choose from? This is simply something different and makes the visit special. You can just tell that everything has been thought of here to make you feel completely comfortable. For me, ERBIL is more than just a kebab shop - it is a place where you feel welcome and enjoy the food with all your senses. Absolute recommendation if you want to experience something special!

A real insider tip for kebab fans! I was really excited when I discovered this kebab shop! As soon as you walk in you notice that there is more than just the typical kebab shop waiting for you here. The atmosphere is modern and chic, but still very cozy - you immediately feel at home here. The star of the shop is definitely the “Erbil Döner”. And wow, what an experience! The Erbil is so incredibly juicy and full of flavor that every bite is a little celebration. You can really taste the emphasis placed on quality and tradition here. The ingredients are super fresh, the meat is perfectly seasoned, and the sauce rounds everything off perfectly. You notice: This isn't just any kebab, it's a kebab with history. The baklava is also a dream – crispy, sweet, but not overpowering. Perfect to round off the evening. And as the icing on the cake: the toilets are sparkling clean and so elegant that you would almost expect them to be in a luxury hotel. This shows how much attention to detail there is throughout the store. Conclusion: If you want to experience an extraordinary kebab in a chic atmosphere, you have to go here. As the saying goes: “That’s where the bear dances”. Stylish snack bar with good portions and a reasonable price. Food tastes good, service seems a bit tense at times, but ok. It is very loud and restless. Toilet could be cleaner.

Very, very hospitable invitation to dinner. The children's many extra wishes were responded to with great love and understanding and the wishes were implemented together with the child. The food is plentiful and you will definitely feel full, there is a lot of choice of meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes. Everything all around absolutely perfect and top class. Even our little dog had an exemption from the owner and was allowed to go into the store despite the ban, thank you very much for that!

October 2024: Overall grade for me continues to fall, only grade 3- with a tendency towards 4+. Today I'm testing the beloved Erbil standard kebab again without cheese. I have been disappointed several times since my last review in July 2024. It seems to me as if customers' reviews are not taken seriously at all. The staff increasingly has lower expectations of themselves when it comes to preparing meals and providing table service. As a guest, you expect that newly occupied tables will be wiped down with a damp cloth upon arrival. It's time to get back to old virtues. Today the kebab was dripping with sauce, the waitress noticed this at the table and skillfully removed the excess behind the counter. Ideally, the kebab should be prepared perfectly straight away, which also includes mixing the ingredients well. This time the last five bites consisted only of meat. Poor grade 5. It's not the first time that I have judged and found the bread to be in need of optimization. Nothing has been improved by the boss since then. Currently the bread is not well suited to fatty contents. It could be cross-fried, with a sturdier crust that would be able to keep the fat from seeping out. Once again the bread was sliced ​​too wide. This makes consumption increasingly difficult and the contents tend to evaporate with every bite. Lack of initiative as well as poor quality and organization lead to a grade of 4+. The meat skewer also appears to have had to undergo austerity measures. A year ago there was hardly any fat dripping from the meat. Meanwhile it is a mixture of meat fat and sauce that comes out of the bread. The suggestion for improvement, which would have been the icing on the cake for a perfect kebab experience, to cut the meat by hand, has not yet been followed. Still tastes good, but far from perfect. Grade 2- Overall grade 3-. I'll definitely come back in the hope of being served a better kebab. July 2024: Resting on our laurels is the conclusion with an overall grade of 2- April 2024: The overall grade remains a very good 1-. 👍👍👍 Cutting the meat by hand would help to improve the grade to a straight 1, as would a consistently good mixing of the ingredients in the bread. (I also had 1 kebab in the meantime that wasn't mixed so well) This time the sauce was great in terms of taste and also in terms of distribution and quantity. The bread was fluffy and freshly baked, all the ingredients were also very fresh, really top. Veal skewer cut by machine, the meat doesn't ooze the bread with fat. Nice shop, but disappointing kebab. I can well imagine that there are other good dishes but unfortunately the kebab didn't appeal to me. Very interesting experience with the "ERBIL Restaurant". You come in and are immediately greeted by the very juicy rotisserie, right next to the grill where the sparks are already hitting the glass window in front of it. After ordering and a medium-long waiting time, the kebab arrived. The first impression was a positive surprise, but as the meal progressed it became increasingly negative. It didn't taste like much, even the last bite of meat was weak and the bread was so thick that I had to chew for minutes. Disappointing. 5/10
