It's a wonderful place, very close to the blue wonder, with very nice restaurants. We had a separate room for our family celebration. The table was lovingly set and the staff was always unobtrusively there for us. We had a wonderful celebration. Thank you for that!

We were very satisfied, good portions, the food tasted very good as always, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere is also very nice. We will be back and have already ordered. The risotto, however, was more like rice pudding in terms of consistency and taste. That's better

We visited the restaurant as part of a painting course offered there and had a cocktail and a snack beforehand. The restaurant is stylishly furnished and offers a modern menu. Drinks and food (1x beef tartare and 1x smoked salmon crostini) were extremely tasty. The service is very professional, friendly and attentive. A successful evening and certainly not the last visit!

Tasteless and carelessly prepared saddle of veal with marjoram crust, port wine-elderberry sauce, glazed carrot spinach, potato gratin. A disappointment for €28.50.

Like last year, we spent New Year's Eve here with 8 friends. Unfortunately, the evening was ruined by a regular guest (according to the security statement) of the house considerably clouded. Unfortunately, our efforts to get him to please avoid us didn't work. We contacted security, they tried to get the guest to avoid us. Unfortunately, he was very unreasonable and repeatedly ignored the instructions. Ultimately we, not the other guest, were sent off. I asked to speak to the manager, but unfortunately this was not possible. We are very disappointed with the behavior of the security company. Last year we had beautiful ones here Hours were spent and, of course, quite a bit of sales were made. I worked in the catering industry for 16 years, so situations like this are very familiar to me. I tried to de-escalate several times In the end, 8 guests were thrown out because of 1 guest who didn't behave appropriately.

The ambience is good as always. We had a table with 2 children (6 + 7 years) in a corner in the next room, so that the children did not disturb other guests while they were playing. The service was good. Unfortunately the food is less so. The roast duck or goose was served in a very small casserole dish, so that there was little or no sauce. There was no extra sauce on the table either. This also affected the other types of meat, so that the dumplings had to be eaten dry. However, the dumplings were very tasty. The dessert was served way too late and wasn't enough. I would have liked a small buffet for the children with pasta, fries and the like. Queuing at the buffets was also annoying. Several smaller buffets distributed throughout the room would have made more sense here. Since the buffet was the main component here, I can only give it 3 stars overall.

We were there for dinner on December 22nd, 2024. The restaurant was very large but there were very few guests on site. The waiter showed us to our table and was nice. We were very disappointed with the food. The starter was okay but nothing more. For the main course we had Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad. And that was incredibly bad. The meat is wafer-thin, tough and dry. The lamb's lettuce was spread over the schnitzel so that you couldn't immediately recognize this old schnitzel. I complained about it. It was also taken back without any problems. The new one was a little better... but not really tasty either. In the picture you can see the old and new on my companion's plate. There really are better restaurants there.

We had Christmas roast goose, the legs were delicious, the breast pieces were probably already prepared, too firm and overcooked, a shame

Bombastic food in a modern, cozy atmosphere, food with very good, high-quality ingredients. Have been there five times now and have not been disappointed again. The duck burger pulled duck with chestnut sauce was sensational! Service was very friendly and helpful! We'll definitely be back! Thank you!

It was super tasty, the service was excellent.

This time we felt like second class guests, even though the food was okay. Our previous visits were much more enjoyable. Although there were several tables available for four people, we were allocated a table and could not change it. It took a long time before the first drink order was placed. Instead of medium water we got still water and of course without apology. Much more time passed without service after the meal. We had to formally ask for further service (and later payment). We haven't been this disappointed in a long time.

Great location, delicious food that was always refilled. The negative, however, was that there were long queues at the buffet and it took a long time to get something, especially for warm food.

Together with our guests we were at the Elbe Garten restaurant on Christmas Day for lunch. The food was delicious and the selection was good. As expected, the atmosphere was very pleasant. We were there for Christmas dinner for the first time today. Overwhelmed by the beautiful and cozy atmosphere, large selection at the warm and cold buffet and despite the rush at the warm buffet, it was very quiet and civilized. The kitchen staff always tried very hard to fill up the food quickly, perhaps they should have used chafings to relieve the kitchen staff more and to have the hot food better in stock. All in all we were completely satisfied.

The Christmas dinner (buffet) was excellent. Both the cold and warm parts were varied. The only thing that was annoying was the long queue at the hot buffet. Maybe next time the hot buffet can be set up on two sides of the restaurant. This means that other guests would not be bothered by the queue while eating.

Wir haben im Freiluftbereich Bratwurst, Currywurst und Pommes bestellt. Alle drei Sachen hatten eine schlechte Qualität. Typisches Touristenlokal.

Unfortunately I can't share the good reviews at the moment. We ordered brunch for 2 people on November 23rd, 2024. The order was also taken. 3 days before we were called that the table was needed for 8 people and we couldn't have the brunch and therefore the reservation was no longer valid. No apology or anything like that was made, only the remark that we would be welcome to eat a la carte…. We didn't accept this because we just wanted to have brunch. We find this behavior incredibly cheeky and are asking the question whether a cancellation of this kind by the restaurant with this reason is even legally possible (Terms and Conditions?). Perhaps there should have been some other accommodation in the event of incorrect bookings? A reaction from management at this point would be desirable.

We were able to end our class reunion celebrating 50 years of entry into the EOS in the Guten Stube with a good wine and an à la card dinner. We were welcomed with a very nicely decorated table and we were served very attentively and quickly. It was an overall pleasant evening. Many many thanks.

Four of us had dinner in the ElbeGarten. The ambience is very tasteful. Basically, this also deserves 5 stars. What we were missing for a while, however, was quiet background music. Some could be heard later in the evening. We thought that was very nice. The four of us each chose a different main course and absolutely loved it. We would love to come back because I haven't had such good food in a long time. 7 out of 5 stars for this!

Very good and tasty food (Saturday brunch). Lots of choice, both hot and cold dishes. A little later there was also dessert. A bit expensive (€38.90 per person), but it was very worth it. I was full the rest of the day.

We took advantage of an inexpensive summer lunch offer through Groupon to stop off at the Elbgarten, we felt comfortable and the tarte flambée also tasted good. However, we weren't quite as convinced by the homemade lemonade and, strangely enough, we both had a one-time "run to the toilet" shortly after our visit there 🚻🤷🏻‍♀️

Very tasty food (large portions), really nice atmosphere. Rarely have we seen such a beautiful toilet 😉 We parked right next to the restaurant (free of charge), which should perhaps be signposted. We will certainly come back! Thank you

We had the Groupon voucher for pasta or tarte flambée of your choice with house lemonade (mango-strawberry) or beer. The lemonade contained almost only currants, a piece of strawberry and no mango pieces. But it was very refreshing. Tarte flambée, even with Atlantic fish, tasted good and was filling, but the dough was very thin. Since there was only pasta with peas and basil pesto (depending on the weekly offer), I was also allowed to choose other things, such as a salad or heaven and earth. The latter with black pudding was good home cooking. Only the onion rings were tossed too briefly in the fat. Recommended in everything, including the view of the Elbe. The toilet was impressively designed, with birds chirping..

We were very happy with our dinner. The waiter was attentive and quick in his actions, and the children had a children's menu with colored pencils to pass the time. The drinks came very quickly, as did the 6 dishes we ordered. All plates were attractively served, whether fish or meat, it was delicious. Even after the main course, the service didn't stop, as is unfortunately often the case these days. Another positive thing is that the toilet area is clean and equally attractive, which often says a lot about a restaurant in general. Conclusion: we can highly recommend the visit, the location invites you to fortify yourself here after a visit to the Blue Wonder and its surroundings or to end the evening. We'll be back.

The “hut” was full for brunch, I think every chair was occupied. Very nice staff, delicious selection of food, pleasant atmosphere. The only point of criticism: the refilling of the food was a bit hesitant (but definitely due to the large number of people)....

Really a great restaurant. Beautiful location on the Elbe, friendly staff and always delicious food. A good selection for the children and with a little something to do. I've eaten there several times, in the restaurant and in the beer garden, and it's always been a pleasure. No matter whether you have special wishes or many children.

It's a shame that the staff was so inattentive, sometimes clearing away while others were still eating, putting water on the table and not pouring it, not pouring wine. A sign at the entrance advertised chanterelles, but these were not available and the sign was still at the entrance when we left. Overall, a disappointing evening, but it was supposed to be as nice as it was at the same time last year.

On September 5th, 2024 at 4 p.m. we were in the Elbegarten. We had bought a voucher from Groupon and were looking forward to a delicious pasta dish. As soon as I made the reservation after purchasing the voucher, I noticed that a reservation after 2:30 p.m. was not possible, which surprised me because there was no mention of this when I purchased it or in the description of the voucher. Nevertheless, I asked the restaurant otherwise if it would be a problem if we didn't come until 4 p.m. since we couldn't before then. I even left my cell phone number in case it caused any problems. There was no call, so we assumed it was okay. It would be strange if it wasn't, because there was nothing there saying that you can only come until 2:30 p.m. When we got there, we had to look for the staff first, but then we found a "nice" young man. I said that we had a voucher and made a reservation. At the same time we were attacked quite harshly, saying we were 1.5 hours late. I told him that I had communicated this as a message. No reaction. He continued to attack us and complained that this was a lunch special and was actually no longer valid. I told him very nicely that it wouldn't be noted anywhere. He then relented and said that we would manage it somehow. At least...but the rest of the operation was very minimalistic and short. There was no response at all to our repeated thanks throughout the entire service. And even after we had finished eating and drinking, no one came to the table. Instead, I heard him having a loud conversation with his colleague (maybe a handoff?!). So it happened for the first time that we didn't give a tip. Which even made me uncomfortable, but why should you give any in such a case?! It's a shame...the ambience, the pasta dish and the homemade lemonade were great and very tasty. We were really looking forward to this meal, which was unfortunately greatly dampened by this service. Definitely expandable. Maybe he had a bad day and it was an exception, but of course I as a customer can't judge that and you shouldn't feel it.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the quality of the food. Of the 4 dishes, 3 were bad, only the penne with chanterelles can be recommended. The potato salad with the Wiener Schnitzel was sour and the potatoes were too hard. For us it was the first but also the last visit to this restaurant. We celebrated an 85th birthday in the Elbe Garden Dresden in the Rose Garden, the ambience was great, the table arrangement and table decoration were so successful as requested. The food was really good and varied. However, the staff is a bit uncomfortable in the atmosphere. A woman with a hat in the waitress and a man with few teeth. We found it a bit uncomfortable. The waiter with few teeth also seemed a bit sneaky. We would have liked to have had brunch on the terrace. He said that wouldn't work because it was about to rain and the blinds had to be retracted. However, these were not retracted. But the food was delicious.

We were on vacation in Dresden and the Elbegarten was recommended to us. We went there full of expectations and…unfortunately we were simply disappointed. Here are the points: -Minus- - Brunch €38 per person (way too overpriced for the very limited selection) - Food was very dry (except for salads and schnitzel - those two things were really TOP👍🏼) - for 1 cyclist and 1 friend we waited a full 20 minutes and there wasn't so much going on that we could have justified that. - you were more or less ignored by the supposed head waiter (slim, half-bald, wearing a vest, shirt and bow tie) - which really shouldn't be the case in a middle-class to upscale restaurant -Plus- - the female staff were very polite and accommodating. - great ambience All in all, unfortunately the negatives outweigh the negatives and unfortunately WE won't be coming anymore. It's a shame because the location is really GREAT. Unfortunately we can't report on the beer garden because we were seated inside. Unfortunately, this choice was not left to us on our own.
