Pillnitzer Elbblick in Dresden

In the afternoon we were able to spontaneously book the next night in the guesthouse, which is beautifully located on the Elbe. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is easily possible on site. We had a delicious dinner in the in-house restaurant with very good home cooking. The room was simple but lovingly furnished, clean and cozy, with the perfect view of the Elbe. We were also able to sleep very well in the comfortable bed. The breakfast was also very good, fresh rolls, a variety of toppings, the breakfast egg was also included and everything was very lovingly prepared. All in all, a successful weekend and we would like to come back again.

We can only recommend the restaurant. The food from our 3-course menu was delicious and superbly prepared. We also found a very tasty meal for our son (2.5 years old). So everyone was happy. The service was great and the waitresses were very friendly and despite the restaurant being full they didn't get hectic.

The menu at the entrance gave hope for interesting cuisine. Unfortunately, the implementation of the dishes was rather mediocre. The meat was tough, the vegetables were fatty and dry.

We took a walk with friends in the castle gardens and spontaneously stopped in for coffee and cake. Although the staff were obviously busy, everyone was friendly and attentive. And what the kitchen delivered was great! The original Saxon Qurak clubs are awesome!

We spent two nights here and were able to enjoy the really great cuisine on two evenings. Kudos to the kitchen and the very friendly and considerate staff. We'd love to come back.👍

Staff overloaded/overtaxed. No cakes on offer at the beginning of March at 19c. Terrace constantly vibrates from people walking past. Misplaced, no insulation, coffee from the day before how it tastes. 5€ pot makes 1.5 cups. Rip off

Hello everyone, we went for a walk in Pillnitz on Sunday and stopped at the Elbblick for coffee and cake. Chic location directly on the Elbe with a beautiful terrace. The curd wedges and the curd balls with plums were extremely tasty. We'll definitely come back for dinner again.

We were in the restaurant for lunch at Christmas, there were 5 main courses, all at the same price. We had 3 different ones, none of which tasted good. When we asked, there wasn't a smaller portion either, for the older people. The ambience wasn't particularly special either, the service staff were overwhelmed. Price performance doesn't match at all, never again, no trace of friendliness.

Wir haben im vergangenen Jahr im Pillnitzer Elbblick ein sehr leckeres Weihnachtsmenü genossen. Deshalb haben wir uns auch in diesem Jahr wieder für dieses Restaurant entschieden. Wir bestellten uns beide das Gänsemenü und eine gute Flasche Wein. Die Festtagssuppe war in Ordnung. Dann folgte der Gänsebraten. Dieser war leider nicht gut. Das Fleisch ließ sich nicht vom Knochen lösen. Nach einigem Mühen entschieden wir uns zu reklamieren. Nach einiger Zeit kam dann jemand um uns mitzuteilen, man habe das Fleisch untersucht und es wäre weich genug. Man bot uns an, der Koch würde die Knochen entfernen. Nach einiger Wartezeit kam das Essen zurück. Auf dem Teller meiner Frau war ein Stück Gänsebrust ohne Knochen, allerdings immer noch sehr fest. Auf meinem Teller war das Fleisch nicht vom Knochen gelöst und immer noch so fest, dass es sich kaum ablösen ließ. Als kleine Wiedergutmachung erhielten wir eine Flasche Sekt. Für einen Preis von 120 Euro hätten wir gern darauf verzichtet und lieber lecker gegessen. Nach dieser Erfahrung fällt es uns schwer, dieses Restaurant weiterzuempfehlen.

My rating only refers to the food and the service all around on 11/30/24. Coming from Christmas Garden we had reserved a table and the restaurant was already well attended. Unfortunately we weren't 100% satisfied with the service because we had to wait a long time for drinks and food. But!!! We were compensated. The seasoned meat is first class! The food was extremely tasty and filling. The drinks were also tasty. The service staff was friendly. Huge praise goes to the kitchen, which is really recommended. Thank you.

I had dinner here with a larger group. The atmosphere is inviting, although unfortunately we couldn't see much of the Elbe in the evening. The staff was friendly and tried to serve all the dishes at the same time. I was particularly pleased that there are also vegan dishes on the menu. I enjoyed the bowl with lentil curry and crunchy chicken. It was a wild mix, but one that fit together well. Unfortunately the spinach was too salty. Since the restaurant was busy, it was correspondingly loud. Unfortunately, the map couldn't be read particularly well in the dimmed light. A higher contrast between text and background should be considered here. The font size and type could also be adjusted.

We spontaneously got a place in the afternoon. The cake was divine and the waitresses were all very friendly. We'd love to come back.

Nice location, nice atmosphere. Fantastic food. Only partly a bit exaggerated in the decoration. Autumn decorations, Christmas decorations, plastic fruit, sometimes quite kitschy together with these very cool lamps... clearly a bit overloaded

Family dinner with 7 people on 11/1/24 My sauerbraten was excellent! Very tender with a great sauce, delicious red cabbage and very good dumplings. I can absolutely recommend the restaurant and thank you for the lovely evening.

Ich hatte für eine Woche ein Zimmer gebucht und war erstaunt als ich bei der Anreise eine verschlossene Pension vorfand. Nach einem Telefonat bekam ich einen Code für den Schlüsseltresor und konnte das komplett ge- und verschlossene Restaurant/ Pension betreten. Zugegeben: es war Ruhetag!!! Aber Ruhetage für eine so schöne, idyllisch gelegene Pension finde ich persönlich äußerst ungewöhnlich! Telefonisch wurde mir versprochen, ab Dienstag wäre man für mich da. Leider war das nur eine Floskel, denn ich blieb die ganze Woche allein! Bezahlt habe ich die komplette Rechnung plus Bettensteuer Mitte der Woche, aber nicht beim Pensionspersonal sondern bei einem Kellner und zwar Mittags, denn obwohl das Restaurant normalerweise bis 22.00 Uhr geöffnet hätte (lt. Aushang) waren die Türen bereits 20.15 Uhr geschlossen.

We had dinner with the family yesterday. It was very worth it, the whole family was very happy. The food was also very tasty and beautifully presented. The view of the Elbe was also a highlight. I can only recommend it.

The location is 1 A. The food was below train station snack bar level. The sauerbraten was completely overcooked and the 3 pieces of wild goulash were burnt and very, very hard. Not chewable. The prices are like in a 5 star restaurant. The waitress was very rude and unfriendly because of our legitimate complaint. Overcooked or burnt food does not entitle the price to be reduced, was your answer. “Pride comes before a fall,” I say.

Great location on the Elbe, large restaurant with a terrace, with a tour group, pre-ordered food took 40 minutes, catch of the day was frozen fish fillet even though there was trout on the table, ordering drinks and bringing them took forever, no bill,

We had our annual dinner on the terrace for at least 56 people. The grill buffet was great, as was the service. When the illuminated steamer passes by in the evening, the mood is perfect.

The Hotel Elbblick is idyllically located: directly on the banks of the Elbe and a stone's throw away from Pillnitz Castle and Park. For a special occasion we had 2 nights/Fri. and booked 2x candlelight dinners. The nice room at the back with a view of the Elbe is sparkling clean and rustically furnished. The breakfast is individually prepared and is sensationally fresh and delicious. Special thanks go to the “breakfast mamsell” who looked after us diligently. The three-course candlelight dinners can be described in one sentence: cooked with love, prepared with love and served with love. The friendly and courteous staff made a significant contribution to making us feel comfortable and welcome as guests. Thank you very much, we will definitely see each other again.

If you are staying for a limited time, for example if you are traveling by steamboat, this restaurant is definitely not recommended. We were left sitting for a very long time without anyone taking our order, even though there were hardly any guests present anyway (the inside area was empty and the outside area was about half full). When we finally had to leave without consuming anything due to time pressure, we were greeted in a very unfriendly manner by a waiter.

One of the waiters was unfriendly and kept us waiting for a long time and didn't clear away glasses from the neighboring table. The red cabbage was not okay yesterday, it was overcooked, mushy and didn't taste that good. Unfortunately, we later got diarrhea. I can't recommend it any further.

We were here for lunch today. The food was very tasty. There's nothing to complain about, just a small comment that I'm almost ashamed to write. The food was a bit cold, which didn't bother us personally, especially since with three waiters and a full house it's understandable that not everything gets where it's supposed to go straight away. As I said, we were thrilled with the food, as well as the friendliness and helpfulness of the waiters. You are also welcome here with a dog. Thanks for that!

We took our children on the Saxon steamship trip from Dresden to Pillnitz with a 2-hour stay in the castle and back. Unfortunately we didn't see the castle because we waited an hour for the food we ordered. So the waiting times are too long. The selection is fine. Staff not particularly nice. The food wasn't tasty, we were particularly disappointed with the burger. The meat was raw in the middle. Nothing could be done about the bill.

A great hospitality where we were invited to a family celebration. Can be recommended. Very nice and friendly service, good food... just feel good. Thanks to the staff!!!

Fast, friendly service, a wide range of options, a pleasant stay on the terrace and a good view of the landscape and shipping traffic

I liked it so mediocre. You can definitely find something to eat and you won't starve and the food is very nicely prepared. The portions are large. But the service staff lacks a bit of friendliness and the food takes much longer to get into the oven/pan. The breading on my fried fish was clearly too dark and therefore very dry. Also, you don't necessarily expect bones from a fillet. The trout was good, but also slightly too dark. The location is great and therefore there are a lot of customers, so maybe the food can be improved.

Beautifully prepared food which is extremely tasty

I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Elbblick. The location, the PEACE, the good food with great local beer... simply wonderful! The hotel cat was totally cuddly and made the situation perfect. The only downer was the defective shower bracket. With one hand, I was almost completely defenseless against the intrusive shower curtain. I am absolutely amazed at how BEAUTIFUL Dresden is

Wir haben heut Nachmittag mit Freunden ein paar wunderschöne Stunden auf der Sonnenterrasse bei gutem Wein und sehr guten Essen verbracht. Kompliment vor allem an die Küche. Da blieben an Qualität keine Wünsche offen. Service sehr freundlich. Insgesamt gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, gerne immer wieder.

We had a lunch here after visiting Pilnitz park. The food was delicious and the service fine. The Elbe river view are stunning.

After a walk through the park, have a coffee or eat ice cream here. Enjoy the view over the Elbe.

We had dinner there, very nice staff, despite several parties everything went very quickly. The food was excellent and I can only recommend it

I travel around a lot, but I have rarely experienced such unfriendly and dismissive service. The two of us wanted to have a hearty meal on the terrace after a long bike ride. It was sometimes difficult to make yourself noticed. You were simply ignored. We were then assigned a table on the left, without a greeting or a friendly word. But we didn't like the table and asked for a table on the airy right side. That was a mistake. We were reprimanded - without being looked at - that we should either take the assigned hiss or leave. We went and had a wonderful afternoon in a restaurant where hospitality is practiced. As a guest at the Elbblick you had the feeling of being unwelcome and of being a troublemaker who was disrupting operations. Creepy atmosphere :-( I come from the catering industry myself and actually thought that such treatment of guests was a thing of the past. What a shame!

I had the spiced meat and the steak au four. The seasoned meat was from poultry and was somewhat edible. The steak au four was advertised with fresh mushrooms and I actually found 1 whole baked mushroom - but not in the seasoned meat. The pork schnitzel was very small, the spicy poultry meat and what were sugar snap peas, carrots and kohlrabi supposed to be on the plate? The whole thing was rounded off with an aromatic dark beef sauce, which I didn't understand in this context. Summary: Lots of flavors and various hip ingredients make the classic worse. I didn't think the interpretation was successful. I guess I'll have to wait until I can once again enjoy the best steak au four in the Waldgasthof "Queste" in Schmalkalden, which is unrivaled to date. I would like to praise the service for its friendliness, attentiveness and speed.

We had dinner at the restaurant... grilled trout with vegetables and mashed potatoes. A glas of white wine (Kerner) from the castle vineyards. Everything was excellent...they obviously have a trained cook, the fresh vegetables where perfect.... nothing frozen or from a tin.

We came here for dinner with four adults and two children. The restaurant has a super nice location. Sitting on the terrace you have a beautiful view of the Elbe. The service was very good. Extra requests were taken into account. The very good tasting food was visibly prepared with fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. The portions were large and reasonable for the prices. All in all: top address!

The restaurant is located next to Pillniz Castle with a beautiful view of the Elbe, close to the marina. The food is tasty, beautifully presented, and the prices are acceptable. When the weather is nice, there is a lot of traffic. There is a hotel above the restaurant.

Stay 2 hours, 1.5 hours of which were spent waiting for a salad. Absolutely not recommended.

We were there twice at the weekend and are very satisfied. On Friday we went to the candlelight dinner and it was a dream for us. Everything delicious and great service. Small exception is the starter soup with lots of Burgundy, but that's a matter of taste. It was so good that we went there again on Saturday. So we'll be back.

The atmosphere was very nice, great view. Service was perfect and the food was a dream, I had trout, it was on point, the mashed potatoes were homemade and very tasty and there were also carved vegetables. I recommend everyone to eat something there. Price performance is top👍

I'll say how the food tasted first. Nevertheless, it is cheeky to only receive food after 1.5 hours, which is only average. Given the lack of staff and high workload, it shouldn't take longer than 45 minutes. Apparently the food wasn't even freshly cooked, just reheated in the steamer. There won't be a second time here, 5 out of 8 people enjoyed it here. The prices were not appropriate for the waiting time and quality.

Restaurant with a terrace with a nice view of the Elbe. The service works quite well, but when there are more people, the wait is longer. We had sundaes and coffee and it was good.

Beautiful location, delicious food...

We have rarely eaten so badly... The brawn was 95 percent fatty meat and the cucumber salad was vinegar-heavy. We waited 45 minutes for this meal. The prices are clearly too high for the quality offered.

We were only there to eat. Prices are unfortunately normal during these times, food was very good. Gladly again.

We have been to Pillnitzer Elbblick several times, after hikes and also for New Year's Eve celebrations, and have always been satisfied. Now I celebrated my 60th birthday there (coffee and dinner with 35 guests) and I can only say: the celebration exceeded all expectations. The operation and service were absolutely satisfactory, friendly, accommodating, all wishes regarding the course of the celebration were fulfilled and all agreements were implemented. (e.g. mulled wine reception on the terrace with a fire bowl). As requested, various cakes and sandwiches were served with the coffee, everything was very well priced. The dinner was also very good, different types of meat, various vegetables and potato side dishes, as well as very well prepared salads and cold cuts. The young chef presented the entire menu and explained it, which was well received by the guests. Very good calculation here too, nothing was missing, but it wasn't too much either, just perfect. The range of drinks was also varied; all guests were able to order the drinks they wanted and were satisfied. Special requests for the celebration, such as setting up a photo box and the associated hustle and bustle of the children, as well as inflating balloons, were also tolerated in a friendly and informal manner. The payment modalities were also implemented and accepted in a very customer-friendly manner. Conclusion: All of the guests, including the person celebrating their birthday, really enjoyed it and the food and the celebration were praised by all of the guests. And even the little children wanted to experience such a great party again soon. Many thanks to the entire Pillnitzer Elbblick team for a great celebration. We would be happy to book your beautiful establishment again on the next occasion.

Unfortunately, the expectations were not met. Restaurant is more interested in bus tourism than individual guests. Long wait for food. Service friendly. There are other restaurants in Dresden that we can recommend

Wir waren als Gruppe hier. Das Essen und das Personal ist einfach nur super. Mittlere Preise beim Essen. Die Weine sind teilweise aus der Region, daher etwas teurer als der Durchschnitt. Empfehle ich gerne weiter.

Tolles Essen (Sauerbraten ist stets zu empfehlen !!!) gute Weine, freundlicher und kompetenter Service, sehr ansprechendes Ambiente, ein wundervoller Blick auf die (abendliche) Elbe - Was will man mehr !? Wir kehren immer wieder sehr gern hier ein!

Das ist ein sehr schön eingerichtetes Restaurant. Allerdings sollte die Deko mal von Spinnweben befreit werden. Der Service war freundlich und flink. Das Essen sehr schön angerichtet geschmacklich aber nicht so prickelnd. Das Fleisch (Ragout vom Alpenrind) war sehr trocken und fest. Der Rest recht uberwürzt fast salzig. Die Knödel waren das Beste an diesem Gericht. Das Wiener Schnitzel war ok, die Elbblickbowl auch eher versalzen. Die Größe der Portionen ausreichend. Die Suche nach den Toiletten war nicht schwer, immer der Nase nach, den starke Toilettengeruch könnte man nicht verfehlen, aber an sich waren die Toiletten sauber. Sehr geehrte Inhaber, Leider kann ich auf Ihre Antwort nicht antworten. Das Problem mit dem Essen wurde einer Servicekraft mitgeteilt. Er sagte das er in der Küche nachfragt, ist daraufhin mindestens 3 mal bei uns vorbei gelaufen, ohne Antwort. Was die Toiletten betrifft könnte der Geruch an der Kanalisation liegen. Das sollte Ihnen schon selbst aufgefallen sein. Ich bewerte immer fair und das geschilderte war mein Eindruck. Alles Gute für das neue Jahr.

Zum Abendessen vorbeigekommen. Trotz keiner Tischreservierung noch ein Platz bekommen. Sehr nettes Personal. Preise sind schon erhöht aber sehr lecker. Zum Beispiel haben wir für ein Burger 20 Euro bezahlt.

Wir waren wiedermal an den Feiertagen zum Mittagessen da, diesmal das erste Mal auf dem " Schmugglerdeck" im Gewölbekeller , auch hier Ambiente sehr ansprechend, Service ,wie immer, ausgezeichnet, Küche hervorragend. Gut für inser älteres " Klientel " WC Anlage auch unten , so daß Treppensteigen nicht notwendig war. Also insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

Wunderschönes Restaurant, mega Lage und das Essen war traumhaft. Immer wieder gern.

Es war abends während der Winterzeit, dementsprechend dunkel und kann daher nicht viel zur Aussicht sagen, jedoch ist das Lokal relativ klein und eigentlich auch belüftet durch eine Anlage, es hat nur niemand für nötig gehalten, diese auch zu betreiben, weil es sehr stickig wird nach kurzer Zeit (wenn das Haus voll ist). Der Lärmpegel war enorm hoch, weil das Lokal klein ist und enorm hallt, daher bin ich häufiger vor die Tür, weil es nur noch weh tat auf den Ohren. Die Plätze an den Tischen sind viel zu klein. Man hat kaum Platz, muss rangieren und sich zwischen den Reihen hindurcharbeiten, so konnte man auch kaum essen, weil man ständig mit den Sitznachbarn kollidierte. Im Gesamten keine schönes Erlebnis.

Sehr schöne Aussicht, Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Gute Atmosphäre und eine wunderbare Küche. Bei einer kleinen Feier in diesem Haus, hat es allen gefallen. Vielen Dank.

Telefonische Tischreservierung hat wunderbar geklappt, sehr herzlich und freundlich. Bedingung im Restaurant trotz vollem Haus sehr nett , aufmerksam und unheimlich auf Zack. Essen war super lecker und kam recht zügig. Jederzeit gern wieder 👍👍👍

Wir waren zum Candle Light Dinner im Pillnitzer Elbblick. Es war okay, mehr aber auch nicht. Personal war freundlich was uns sehr gefallen hat. Tischdeko für ein Candle Light Dinner ging für uns garnicht, wir waren schon sehr oft bei einem Candle Light Dinner, aber dies hatte nichts mit Deko zu tuen. Nun zum Essen: Relativ unflexibel, man bezahlt 79,90 € fürs Essen und wenn ich etwas davon nicht esse, wird nur mit widerwillen, etwas umgestellt. Kennen wir anders ! Zur Begrüßung gab es Brot mit Gänseschmalz, dies war wirklich sehr aufmerksam und lecker. Wir hatten als Vorspeise die Kürbissuppe, diese war besonders gut. Wenn ich überlege das diese sonst 8€ kostet, finden wir die Portionen zu klein. Als Hauptgericht hatten wir Hirschbraten geschmacklich gut, aber das Fleisch war uns zu hart. Und zum Schluss gab es ein Überraschungsdessert. Das hat uns so garnicht geschmeckt, viel zu sauer, auch da wäre es schön gewesen wenn man etwas auf den Kunden eingegangen wäre was er gern mag. Insgesamt war es okay, die Speisekarte lachte uns sehr an da sie wirklich eine schöne Auswahl haben, nach unserer Erfahrung kommen wir nun aber nicht wieder.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Essen war super lecker und mit viel Liebe angerichtet. Saubere Toiletten und auch das Ambiente war sehr hübsch.

Sehr höflich und hilfsbereit und eine sehr schnelle Bedienung hier zu finden. ;-))

Das Restaurant ist perfekt an der Anlegestelle vom Elbdampfer gelegen. Kommunikation, Service und Essen waren sehr gut. Allerdings bin ich von der Extragebühr für das Geburtstagsgedeck etwas befremdet. 15€ extra für ein paar kleine Tischdecken und Schnittblumen ist aus meiner Sicht nicht gerechtfertigt. Es gab auch keine Gratulation oder kleine Aufmerksamkeit für das Geburtstagskind. Leider etwas enttäuschend!

waren gestern im Rahmen einer Veranstaltung dort Essen. Leider entsprach das Essen nicht den Erwartungen. Sauerbraten war zäh und beim Hinweis an die Bedienung wurde abgewiegelt…. Bedienung schien überfordert zu sein, schade ansonsten ein sehr schönes Haus in exponierter Lage.
