Super guesthouse with fair price-performance ratio

There were eight of us eating at the restaurant. We were given a quiet spot with our puppy. The staff was super attentive and friendly. The food was excellent!

We can't rate the food. After taking a free table on the 75% empty terrace, we were asked to go to the back because the seats in the front area were reserved. Two of the tables were reserved, but the others weren't. When we arrived at the other table without a view of the Elbe, we were given our menu. After the waiter preferred clearing tables instead of serving us, we left after 10 minutes.

A disappointing visit to the "Elbblick" – unfortunately not recommended I opted for the curry bowl with pike-perch fillet at the Elbblick restaurant – it sounded promising, but it turned out to be a bitter disappointment. I had to return the fish after the first bite because it was still raw inside. The waiter was friendly and understanding and brought the dish back to the kitchen. Unfortunately, the second attempt was also unsuccessful: Although the fish was now cooked, it was still quite mushy. The newly added vegetables were raw in places – which wouldn't have been a problem if they had at least been edible. The broccoli, for example, was so firm and woody that it was impossible to cut or bite into. At the bottom of the bowl was heavily oversalted rice – completely unsuitable for a coconut curry mango bowl. The consistency of the rice was also mushy and more like a porridge. Unfortunately, the whole thing was far from a harmonious bowl. I ended up sending the dish back and expressed my disappointment to the waiter. While there was a brief "sorry," there was no attempt at redress—neither a discount nor an offer to somehow compensate for the mistake. Instead, they charged the full price. That's particularly disappointing. Conclusion: Friendly service—yes, but unfortunately not good food, and no real consideration for legitimate criticism. I can't recommend the restaurant in this form.

We stayed at the guesthouse for two nights!!! A very beautiful and quiet location!!! The room was very clean and nice!! Everything you need!!! The breakfast was great!!! The food in the restaurant was delicious!!! The service was generally very friendly!!! We felt very comfortable!! Thank you for everything!!!!

We've driven out of Dresden several times now to visit this wonderful, idyllic restaurant. The food is fantastic. The menu is very good and varied, with absolutely reasonable prices. The service is very attentive and friendly. It's also an ideal destination for cycling trips. We'll be regulars.

We signed up for a coffee morning with our support group today. Great, friendly, down-to-earth service. Good coffee and a super delicious, fluffy Dresden Eierschecke (egg cake). It was really, really good!!! We'd be happy to come back.

Rather inconspicuously located. It's worth going in! A tasty steak topped with fresh seasoned meat and cheese. Very well done. The gravy was also premium. Anyone who cooks and knows what intense flavors remain in the casserole will experience their spice Valhalla in the gravy. No inferior meat is hidden under Maggi seasoned meat here. The opposite is the case. There were 11 people in total. Reservation is definitely recommended. The other dishes, baked potatoes, chicken, tongue and salads were also freshly prepared and were of a very high standard in terms of taste and presentation. A seasonal menu with asparagus is also currently on offer. A precision landing there too! Service is very good. Everyone here knows what to do and how. There is only one thing that can be said about the ambience: unique. Views of the Elbe and regular new customers from the Sächsische Dampfschifffahrtsgesellschaft at the pier offer entertainment alongside good service. Gladly again.

Very nicely prepared food at medium prices (20-30€/dish). It's a shame, however, that table decorations are only available upon request, which unfortunately devalues ​​the ambience. Unfortunately, side salads, cream and dips also have to be ordered separately. Service is top and the interior and terrace are harmonious.

We only went to the restaurant and will definitely not be coming back. Steak au four, swimming in an almost black gravy. (Unfortunately no photo taken) The steak itself was ok. Fried potatoes (partly burnt) were in a small bowl that was in the middle of the sauce. Broccoli was overcooked. Asparagus soup tasted, but not like asparagus. There wasn't much remoulade in the brawn and there wasn't a jar of cucumber salad in it either. Schnitzel and liver were ok.

Unfortunately I can't share the good reviews. Children's dish fish fingers - dry fish fingers and dry chips. If you ask for sauce, ketchup and attention - diluted ketchup - it's like tomato sauce (quote!) are offered. We decided on the gravy, which of course was charged extra. I have no idea which child likes to eat something dry like that? Generally also very inflexible when it comes to vegetarian options - what's easier than offering a burger with a veggie patty/cheese/...? Of course not possible upon request. Then the cheese platter - wasn't available and despite the fact that it was vegetarian, I wasn't told that the goat's cheese was wrapped in ham (it wasn't immediately obvious on the menu). So it was an absolute failure and we definitely won't be eating there again.

Been there today. Despite the fact that we hadn't made a reservation, we got 6 seats on the terrace. Everyone enjoyed the food, even though we waited at least 45 minutes. Only the Campari Spritz still needs to be learned. For 8.50 euros the glass should already be filled. The first glass only contained Campari and some soda. Wasn't even half full. Despite complaints, we were told that they were large glasses. Ordered another glass later. After two waitresses talked quietly about the meager contents, the second glass was full but tasted very thin. In any case, the Prosecco was missing every time. So folks, you can get better filled glasses somewhere else for 6.90 euros; especially with 3 ingredients: Campari, Prosecco, soda and 2 half slices of orange. Everyone can make fun of themselves!

Lettuce? For heaven's sake, don't! There are the finest ready-made meat creations here - without any taste, of course. A culinary masterpiece of disappointment, from the first to the last fork. And the best part? Of course the price: a whopping €27 for an experience that you will definitely want to forget so quickly.

A nice small hotel with a larger dining area. I can't say much about the gastronomic quality, because our only concern was the overnight stay. Visually, we only saw relaxed and satisfied faces in the well-attended rooms and on the spacious terrace area. A nice offer of cakes almost seduced us... Since we only planned 1 night, we chose the cheapest rooms. Of course, this unfortunately had the disadvantage that we couldn't enjoy the view of the Elbe because there were no windows with a view in the rooms on the 1st floor, only hinged windows in the sloping roof. These were equipped with sun protection as well as a solid fly net, which would certainly have kept any pests away. But the season still offered frosty cool and really fresh air. It was also very pleasant that there was a wonderful peace and quiet. No sound from the street reached the rooms. The disadvantage is that you can only reach the windows to open them if you are not much shorter than 1.80 m. It also remains to be seen what happens when it rains and the window is open.... Ok, the test didn't happen. The rooms chosen were very small. There was a decent closet in the double room with enough storage space and hangers. But in the single room there was only one shelf for a suitcase. A table or chairs were completely missing in both rooms. Small dessert tables provided space for night lamps and storage space for glasses, etc. The beds were really very comfortable, the mattresses and pillows were absolutely OK from our point of view and the duvets were enough for us even with the window open and the outside temperatures very cool. The flat-screen TV offered us a good selection of all the usual programs and you could watch them quite well even in bed. The bathroom was OK, even if a shower curtain no longer meets current standards because it was blown into the shower room. But the dispenser for the shower bath was completely ok. A hairdryer and toothbrush glasses were available and the mirror and lighting were fine. Towels were neatly available. A textile shower mat would be desirable. So one of the towels had to be used for other purposes... It was pleasant to have very subtle night lighting in the bathroom, which prevents you from getting too lively when you have to go out at night... There were enough sockets for chargers. However, there is no elevator. The spiral staircase is wide enough, but not really very comfortable. There was nothing to criticize about the cleanliness, even if the sound-absorbing floor coverings were long past their good times. All in all, it's a venerable building that could do with some modernization. Free parking is available below the hotel on the Elbe side. Luggage should be deposited at the main entrance beforehand and transferred to the vehicle from there. The service staff was nice and took enough time despite the ongoing restaurant business. The location itself is excellent and, despite being close to the street, quite quiet.

In the afternoon we were able to spontaneously book the next night in the guesthouse, which is beautifully located on the Elbe. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is easily possible on site. We had a delicious dinner in the in-house restaurant with very good home cooking. The room was simple but lovingly furnished, clean and cozy, with the perfect view of the Elbe. We were also able to sleep very well in the comfortable bed. The breakfast was also very good, fresh rolls, a variety of toppings, the breakfast egg was also included and everything was very lovingly prepared. All in all, a successful weekend and we would like to come back again.

We can only recommend the restaurant. The food from our 3-course menu was delicious and superbly prepared. We also found a very tasty meal for our son (2.5 years old). So everyone was happy. The service was great and the waitresses were very friendly and despite the restaurant being full they didn't get hectic.

The menu at the entrance gave hope for interesting cuisine. Unfortunately, the implementation of the dishes was rather mediocre. The meat was tough, the vegetables were fatty and dry.

We took a walk with friends in the castle gardens and spontaneously stopped in for coffee and cake. Although the staff were obviously busy, everyone was friendly and attentive. And what the kitchen delivered was great! The original Saxon Qurak clubs are awesome!

We spent two nights here and were able to enjoy the really great cuisine on two evenings. Kudos to the kitchen and the very friendly and considerate staff. We'd love to come back.👍

Staff overloaded/overtaxed. No cakes on offer at the beginning of March at 19c. Terrace constantly vibrates from people walking past. Misplaced, no insulation, coffee from the day before how it tastes. 5€ pot makes 1.5 cups. Rip off

Hello everyone, we went for a walk in Pillnitz on Sunday and stopped at the Elbblick for coffee and cake. Chic location directly on the Elbe with a beautiful terrace. The curd wedges and the curd balls with plums were extremely tasty. We'll definitely come back for dinner again.

We were in the restaurant for lunch at Christmas, there were 5 main courses, all at the same price. We had 3 different ones, none of which tasted good. When we asked, there wasn't a smaller portion either, for the older people. The ambience wasn't particularly special either, the service staff were overwhelmed. Price performance doesn't match at all, never again, no trace of friendliness.

Wir haben im vergangenen Jahr im Pillnitzer Elbblick ein sehr leckeres Weihnachtsmenü genossen. Deshalb haben wir uns auch in diesem Jahr wieder für dieses Restaurant entschieden. Wir bestellten uns beide das Gänsemenü und eine gute Flasche Wein. Die Festtagssuppe war in Ordnung. Dann folgte der Gänsebraten. Dieser war leider nicht gut. Das Fleisch ließ sich nicht vom Knochen lösen. Nach einigem Mühen entschieden wir uns zu reklamieren. Nach einiger Zeit kam dann jemand um uns mitzuteilen, man habe das Fleisch untersucht und es wäre weich genug. Man bot uns an, der Koch würde die Knochen entfernen. Nach einiger Wartezeit kam das Essen zurück. Auf dem Teller meiner Frau war ein Stück Gänsebrust ohne Knochen, allerdings immer noch sehr fest. Auf meinem Teller war das Fleisch nicht vom Knochen gelöst und immer noch so fest, dass es sich kaum ablösen ließ. Als kleine Wiedergutmachung erhielten wir eine Flasche Sekt. Für einen Preis von 120 Euro hätten wir gern darauf verzichtet und lieber lecker gegessen. Nach dieser Erfahrung fällt es uns schwer, dieses Restaurant weiterzuempfehlen.

My rating only refers to the food and the service all around on 11/30/24. Coming from Christmas Garden we had reserved a table and the restaurant was already well attended. Unfortunately we weren't 100% satisfied with the service because we had to wait a long time for drinks and food. But!!! We were compensated. The seasoned meat is first class! The food was extremely tasty and filling. The drinks were also tasty. The service staff was friendly. Huge praise goes to the kitchen, which is really recommended. Thank you.

I had dinner here with a larger group. The atmosphere is inviting, although unfortunately we couldn't see much of the Elbe in the evening. The staff was friendly and tried to serve all the dishes at the same time. I was particularly pleased that there are also vegan dishes on the menu. I enjoyed the bowl with lentil curry and crunchy chicken. It was a wild mix, but one that fit together well. Unfortunately the spinach was too salty. Since the restaurant was busy, it was correspondingly loud. Unfortunately, the map couldn't be read particularly well in the dimmed light. A higher contrast between text and background should be considered here. The font size and type could also be adjusted.

Family dinner with 7 people on 11/1/24 My sauerbraten was excellent! Very tender with a great sauce, delicious red cabbage and very good dumplings. I can absolutely recommend the restaurant and thank you for the lovely evening.

Ich hatte für eine Woche ein Zimmer gebucht und war erstaunt als ich bei der Anreise eine verschlossene Pension vorfand. Nach einem Telefonat bekam ich einen Code für den Schlüsseltresor und konnte das komplett ge- und verschlossene Restaurant/ Pension betreten. Zugegeben: es war Ruhetag!!! Aber Ruhetage für eine so schöne, idyllisch gelegene Pension finde ich persönlich äußerst ungewöhnlich! Telefonisch wurde mir versprochen, ab Dienstag wäre man für mich da. Leider war das nur eine Floskel, denn ich blieb die ganze Woche allein! Bezahlt habe ich die komplette Rechnung plus Bettensteuer Mitte der Woche, aber nicht beim Pensionspersonal sondern bei einem Kellner und zwar Mittags, denn obwohl das Restaurant normalerweise bis 22.00 Uhr geöffnet hätte (lt. Aushang) waren die Türen bereits 20.15 Uhr geschlossen.

We had dinner with the family yesterday. It was very worth it, the whole family was very happy. The food was also very tasty and beautifully presented. The view of the Elbe was also a highlight. I can only recommend it.

The location is 1 A. The food was below train station snack bar level. The sauerbraten was completely overcooked and the 3 pieces of wild goulash were burnt and very, very hard. Not chewable. The prices are like in a 5 star restaurant. The waitress was very rude and unfriendly because of our legitimate complaint. Overcooked or burnt food does not entitle the price to be reduced, was your answer. “Pride comes before a fall,” I say.

We had our annual dinner on the terrace for at least 56 people. The grill buffet was great, as was the service. When the illuminated steamer passes by in the evening, the mood is perfect.

The Hotel Elbblick is idyllically located: directly on the banks of the Elbe and a stone's throw away from Pillnitz Castle and Park. For a special occasion we had 2 nights/Fri. and booked 2x candlelight dinners. The nice room at the back with a view of the Elbe is sparkling clean and rustically furnished. The breakfast is individually prepared and is sensationally fresh and delicious. Special thanks go to the “breakfast mamsell” who looked after us diligently. The three-course candlelight dinners can be described in one sentence: cooked with love, prepared with love and served with love. The friendly and courteous staff made a significant contribution to making us feel comfortable and welcome as guests. Thank you very much, we will definitely see each other again.

If you are staying for a limited time, for example if you are traveling by steamboat, this restaurant is definitely not recommended. We were left sitting for a very long time without anyone taking our order, even though there were hardly any guests present anyway (the inside area was empty and the outside area was about half full). When we finally had to leave without consuming anything due to time pressure, we were greeted in a very unfriendly manner by a waiter.

One of the waiters was unfriendly and kept us waiting for a long time and didn't clear away glasses from the neighboring table. The red cabbage was not okay yesterday, it was overcooked, mushy and didn't taste that good. Unfortunately, we later got diarrhea. I can't recommend it any further.

We were here for lunch today. The food was very tasty. There's nothing to complain about, just a small comment that I'm almost ashamed to write. The food was a bit cold, which didn't bother us personally, especially since with three waiters and a full house it's understandable that not everything gets where it's supposed to go straight away. As I said, we were thrilled with the food, as well as the friendliness and helpfulness of the waiters. You are also welcome here with a dog. Thanks for that!

We took our children on the Saxon steamship trip from Dresden to Pillnitz with a 2-hour stay in the castle and back. Unfortunately we didn't see the castle because we waited an hour for the food we ordered. So the waiting times are too long. The selection is fine. Staff not particularly nice. The food wasn't tasty, we were particularly disappointed with the burger. The meat was raw in the middle. Nothing could be done about the bill.

Fast, friendly service, a wide range of options, a pleasant stay on the terrace and a good view of the landscape and shipping traffic

I liked it so mediocre. You can definitely find something to eat and you won't starve and the food is very nicely prepared. The portions are large. But the service staff lacks a bit of friendliness and the food takes much longer to get into the oven/pan. The breading on my fried fish was clearly too dark and therefore very dry. Also, you don't necessarily expect bones from a fillet. The trout was good, but also slightly too dark. The location is great and therefore there are a lot of customers, so maybe the food can be improved.

Beautifully prepared food which is extremely tasty

I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Elbblick. The location, the PEACE, the good food with great local beer... simply wonderful! The hotel cat was totally cuddly and made the situation perfect. The only downer was the defective shower bracket. With one hand, I was almost completely defenseless against the intrusive shower curtain. I am absolutely amazed at how BEAUTIFUL Dresden is

Wir haben heut Nachmittag mit Freunden ein paar wunderschöne Stunden auf der Sonnenterrasse bei gutem Wein und sehr guten Essen verbracht. Kompliment vor allem an die Küche. Da blieben an Qualität keine Wünsche offen. Service sehr freundlich. Insgesamt gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, gerne immer wieder.

I travel around a lot, but I have rarely experienced such unfriendly and dismissive service. The two of us wanted to have a hearty meal on the terrace after a long bike ride. It was sometimes difficult to make yourself noticed. You were simply ignored. We were then assigned a table on the left, without a greeting or a friendly word. But we didn't like the table and asked for a table on the airy right side. That was a mistake. We were reprimanded - without being looked at - that we should either take the assigned hiss or leave. We went and had a wonderful afternoon in a restaurant where hospitality is practiced. As a guest at the Elbblick you had the feeling of being unwelcome and of being a troublemaker who was disrupting operations. Creepy atmosphere :-( I come from the catering industry myself and actually thought that such treatment of guests was a thing of the past. What a shame!

I had the spiced meat and the steak au four. The seasoned meat was from poultry and was somewhat edible. The steak au four was advertised with fresh mushrooms and I actually found 1 whole baked mushroom - but not in the seasoned meat. The pork schnitzel was very small, the spicy poultry meat and what were sugar snap peas, carrots and kohlrabi supposed to be on the plate? The whole thing was rounded off with an aromatic dark beef sauce, which I didn't understand in this context. Summary: Lots of flavors and various hip ingredients make the classic worse. I didn't think the interpretation was successful. I guess I'll have to wait until I can once again enjoy the best steak au four in the Waldgasthof "Queste" in Schmalkalden, which is unrivaled to date. I would like to praise the service for its friendliness, attentiveness and speed.

We had dinner at the restaurant... grilled trout with vegetables and mashed potatoes. A glas of white wine (Kerner) from the castle vineyards. Everything was excellent...they obviously have a trained cook, the fresh vegetables where perfect.... nothing frozen or from a tin.

We came here for dinner with four adults and two children. The restaurant has a super nice location. Sitting on the terrace you have a beautiful view of the Elbe. The service was very good. Extra requests were taken into account. The very good tasting food was visibly prepared with fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. The portions were large and reasonable for the prices. All in all: top address!

The restaurant is located next to Pillniz Castle with a beautiful view of the Elbe, close to the marina. The food is tasty, beautifully presented, and the prices are acceptable. When the weather is nice, there is a lot of traffic. There is a hotel above the restaurant.

Small exception is the starter soup with lots of Burgundy, but that's a matter of taste. It was so good that we went there again on Saturday. So we'll be back.

The atmosphere was very nice, great view. Service was perfect and the food was a dream, I had trout, it was on point, the mashed potatoes were homemade and very tasty and there were also carved vegetables. I recommend everyone to eat something there. Price performance is top👍
