Restaurant El Dorado in Berlin

Nice Tapas Bar mood inside. Food is good, but not extraordinary. All in all, recommended for a pub experience.

The food was okay, but it really didn’t justify the high prices. The tinto de verano was unpleasant, and the tapas were both expensive and tiny. The atmosphere was noisy, and the waitstaff seemed overwhelmed. The place was full, but it looked like only two servers were handling everything. We had to wait a very long time before our food finally arrived.

Vill man äta en god standardbiff är Eldorado ett bra val. Man väljer hurdan biff man vill ha samt vilka tillbehör (t.ex. pommes) och hurdan sås. Det är enkelt och rejält, inget överraskande. Men bra till ett hyggligt pris. Trivsam lokal och vänlig betjäning.

wenn man Lust auf ein leckeres Steak hat ist das El Dorado eine gute Wahl. Wir hatten das Entrecote sowie den Lachs mit Spinat, beides war sehr lecker!

Service is different. Voucher was not initially recognized. Then you shouldn't sell any. The staff was overwhelmed even though the store was almost empty. Later things were friendly too. "Nice birthday present" Food was good. In summer you can sit outside. Once is enough.

In schönem Ambiente kann man hier herrliche Tapas genießen, dazu verschiedenste Weine, spanische, aber auch italienische und deutsche - Anregung holen kann man sich an der Wand, die mit Flaschen ausstaffiert ist. Die Kellner waren sehr nett, Preis ok, Essen und Wein sehr gut!

Really a very good restaurant. I'd love to come back.

Waiter was openly racist in German in conversation with other customers while the restaurant was mostly empty which made me very uncomfortable, food was good but waiter pushed card payment terminal against my partners phone after adding on a higher tip than my partner agreed, with no time for my partner to correct him as the payment went through. I've seen other people say this in their reviews also so I know it wasn't just our experience! Before payment, my partner had said how much of a tip he wanted to add whilst holding up the number of fingers to convey the number. Waiter was pushy before this. "Your bill is x amount euro, but the service charge isn't included." My partner goes to pay, waiter pulls terminal away and says "but the service charge isn't included, shall I add it on?". We just wanted to tip and leave at this point between the racism and the waiter's pushiness and that's when the waiter hiked up the tip charge unbeknownst to us and said he hopes to see us again soon. He will not. Was all going nicely until then, we will not be returning.

Very tasty food and great location. Came to the restaurant through Groupon and had a tapas platter for 4 people. Everything was absolutely delicious and highly recommended.

Der kellner war katastrophal, konnte weder die Deutsche sprache sprechen, noch verstehen. Das essen war okey, aber auch nicht das essen, was bestellt wurde. aufgrund vieler missverständnisse, muss ich dem lokal einen stern geben. kommen nicht nochmal.

Naja, so wirklich zufriedenstellend sind die Tapas leider nicht. Alles ziemlich lieblos. Leider vom Personal her nicht ein waschechter Spanier. Die Erwartungen waren anders.

We were in Berlin for a short trip and spontaneously went to El Dorado. The food (tapas plate for two) was sufficient and tasty after the holidays. The Rioja and Estrella went perfectly with it. Service and ambience were also very good...

This is an average tourist restaurant with slightly inflated prices. The food is okay, nothing more. We were very excited about checking into the hotel and trusted Google's recommendations. I don't want to go there for the second time

El Dorado es un restaurante español en el mismo edificio que el Best Western Plaza, y visité el restaurante para cenar. Comí "Lomo de Cerdo" con ensalada de patatas. La comida era muy buena, el servicio era bueno y los precios eran medios - altos.

Vi var kun lækresultne og snuppede blot hver en tapas som aftensmåltid. Den ene snuppede Cambas a la Plancha og den anden snuppede calamares. Hver ret kostede cirka EURO 9 per styk, Hele herligheden blev skyllet ned med en 1/2 liter Rioja til EURO 15,90. Good value for money

We are in Berlin at least once a year, now for the first time in El Dorado. There's not much to say. Great staff, the food was delicious and the ambience was more than fitting for the theme.

Purtroppo, abbiamo ordinato il dolce, una crème brûlée, it is served by Fredda… Peccato! Prezzi un po' troppo alti. Nel complesso impressioni positive. A very nice, spacious and welcoming restaurant. The staff at the entrance was very friendly. The meat was good and cooked to order. Unfortunately we ordered dessert, a crème brûlée, which was served cold… What a shame! Prices a bit too high. Overall we had a positive impression.

We ate at Restaurant El Dorado 3 days and it was as usual, super delicious food. Can you especially recommend their delicious red steaks, I don't think you can get them better anywhere, they are so deliciously tender and then they were grilled, which accentuated the taste and then a delicious baked potato with spiced butter and pan-fried vegetables, and a good fl. red wine, then it doesn't get much better. And then, of course, 5 stars for the staff who are always super sweet, nice and helpful, who make the whole experience a higher unity. Can only recommend this fantastic restaurant.

Finde es schade das das Restaurant leider nur mit 3,5 Sternen bewertet ist. Habe mir dafür extra TripAdvisor geladen um zu sagen, dass es sich bei dem Restaurant um ein sehr gutes mit sehr höflichem Personal handelt. Wir hatten beide ein Steak und die Pfeffersauce sowie das Steak war vorzüglich. Für die Preisklasse am Kudamm definitiv auch vertretbar.

Very friendly and dog-loving service. The food was delicious and the price was ok for Berlin.

Never had our food so slow.... We arrived here with 5 people with an online reservation at 8:00 PM. We walked in and saw that it was busy. There were 3 staff walking around. We sat for about 10 minutes and the waiter came to take our drink order. It took a little too long and the waiter suggested that he should come back later, so he quickly ordered drinks. After 5 minutes our drinks arrived and we ordered our starter. And main course. We would like a straw with the coke, we asked the waiter and he didn't help us very well, I think because of the crowds. Then I grabbed straws behind the bar and one of the waiters thanked me. Our bread arrived at 8:40 PM.... Without aioli..... After 10 minutes we asked for more aioli. The man said, it will happen soon. At 9:15 PM the aioli finally arrived. At 9:25 PM our garlic bread arrived, along with our main courses. In short: sad for the staff that they have to work with such a high workload and have to run around with the food. As a result, communication between the staff was not always friendly. A tip for the owner: organize your table policy better from now on and otherwise hire more staff, especially if you are located in such an expensive location!! Even though the food is delicious, and they come with free bread afterwards, this Dutchman will not come back here, unfortunately!! A shame for the delicious food and the nice tent. Good luck for Saturday when the Berlin Marathon takes place.

For a restaurant in this price range, when ordering a steak you might expect to be asked about doneness, which was not the case. It also seems strange that you are crammed into a table of 4 with 5 people, even though almost everything is free and a fifth set of cutlery isn't even automatically handed over. Furthermore, it is unacceptable to press yourself close to guests just to serve food. If it doesn't work from the right, as an exception you can start from the left. That's what I expect from a restaurant in this price range that has such knowledge. Definitely not recommended. Unfortunately.

A restaurant on a central street in Berlin

Een gemiddeld Spaans restaurant . Veel van de getoonde gerechten (op video band) waren helaas niet te bestellen.. Jammer.. Eten was verder prima, en de bediening ook.

Had a great, well priced steak salad. Yum.

Frozen potatoes and apart from the steak. €10 brick wine stronger than vinegar. Bitter waiters. I'm from Madrid, don't come here, this doesn't represent Spain.

Four of us were here for dinner on July 27th. The interior design alone makes you want to have a nice evening. Sat at the open window with a view of Ku'damm. Splendid. Spanish tapas as a starter: delicious. Various main courses, but the ribeye steak was awesome. I have rarely, no, never eaten such a well-grilled piece!! The Rioja Reserva went perfectly with it. Later we drank perfectly mixed cocktails, Planters Punch, outside. Everything was perfect that evening, including the attentive service. The El Dorado proves that Ku'damm is not always just a tourist trap. Thanks for the evening.

As a Spaniard, it doesn't represent me, the smallest and most expensive tapas I have ever seen in my entire life, the calamari are the frozen ones from the supermarket, the wings were a pittance. And the tortilla cover..., the worst I've ever seen, underneath it was so burned that it looked like the Berlin Wall. And with peppers.

The restaurant is located next to our hotel and since it was rainy we thought we would dine here for convenience. The Argentinian sirloin steak was very good. Tender, medium rare and prepared well. The kid’s meal was in big portion. The food wait was reasonable and the service was fast. The price is at par with the restaurants in the area. I would go here again just for the steak.

The El Dorado restaurant in Berlin is a real highlight. The food is excellent, the dishes are creative and tasteful. The ambience is stylish and inviting, the service friendly and attentive. An absolute insider tip for connoisseurs. We'll definitely be back!!

Really good address in a prime location with nice outdoor dining. Went there twice in a row because you were still welcome even at a later hour (Saturday and Sunday after the musical and concert around 10.30 p.m.) and could end the evening with very good tapas and delicious wine. Very friendly and extremely attentive staff. When a lone guest, who was clearly unknown there, sat down at the neighboring table with clear behavioral problems and an increasingly aggressive tendency to communicate, he was initially not left out of his sight, but was then guided in a friendly and determined manner to a remote table. This quickly made it possible for the ladies at our table to have a relaxing evening again. A very special thank you to the team.

If you want good Spanish cuisine in Berlin, you can eat well there. Gladly again. The prices for drinks and food are reasonable.

Super delicious food for every budget. There is also something for the younger guests and the staff are very child-friendly. Although the outdoor area is located directly on Kurfürstendamm (street), the background noise is limited. It's easy to reach by S-Bahn and U-Bahn in just a few minutes' walk.

I always like coming to El Dorado, it's a very dog-friendly restaurant and the steak is terrific. So juicy and great quality but the other dishes on the menu are also super delicious. A very romantic restaurant see pictures I have attached. The waiters are nice and polite, I feel like I'm in good hands there and very well served. If you are looking for something nice and romantic and like delicious steak then I can really recommend you :) Thank you again and again for the good food :) I was there this afternoon and it was relaxing, thanks to the service.

Ein langer Tag der Anreise und dann: Der perfekte Ausklang! Direkt am Ku'damm bequem auf der liebevoll eingedeckten und bepflanzten Terrasse ein kühles Bier genießen - natürlich ein Estrella Galicia. Das Steak war perfekt. Hier werden die hochwertigen Steaks noch richtig gegrillt. So muss das sein! Vorspeisensalat frisch und knackig. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis top. Danke an die Küche und das aufmerksame Personal! Hier ist man ein geschätzter Gast. Das wird leider immer seltener in der Gastronomie. Also: Mein Top Tipp zum Ausgehen, genießen, gut essen und Berlin sehen. Laut Kellner gibt's das Restaurant schon lange - also ein Klassiker wie der Ku'damm selbst.

The first impression: the store is empty, sit in the back where there is space. I was then informed that the entire area was reserved (until the end no one came for whom the supposed reservation was. The restaurant conveyed that it was a Spanish restaurant... The tapas on the menu too. So ordered a tapas plate. They also came very quickly, too quickly for my taste. Nothing could have been freshly prepared and it didn't really taste that good either. Because it seems to be attached to a hotel, there is a lot of hustle and bustle that has nothing to do with the restaurant. Gladly never again.
