The food and ambiance were okay, but the service could be a bit more cordial. Unfortunately, we didn't feel truly welcome—a shame, because that could easily be improved. On the positive side: Even without a reservation, we got a nice seat, and the food was solid. However, if you're hoping for Kaiserschmarrn, you should definitely come before 4 p.m.—afterward, they're out.

Super delicious homemade spinach dumplings, accompanied by a freshly tapped beer. Wonderful. My wife had by far the best and crispiest pork knuckle we've ever seen or eaten. We'll be coming back again during our vacation. Especially since the price-performance ratio is still good.

There were two of us there and we were actually looking forward to a Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancake), but unfortunately, it's only available until 4 p.m. Our currywurst was okay. The service could have been a bit more cordial.

A successful visit from start to finish. The service was really prompt, and the drinks always came quickly, even when everyone was finished. We were a fairly large group of 12 people, and everyone's food arrived on time and was hot, despite other guests in the restaurant. All our "special requests," such as other side dishes or sauces, were also served correctly. The food tasted good, the portions were generous, and the ambiance was the icing on the cake. It was a long time since we visited a restaurant that left nothing to be desired.

We ate at Dorfratsch several times years ago. The food was always delicious. But this time we weren't impressed. What we really like, though, is that dogs aren't allowed. We once had a large flea truck shake right next to our food. And I found that anything but appetizing. So, thumbs up for not having a dog in the restaurant.

Unfortunately, it's not dog-friendly. We couldn't try the food because we weren't allowed in with our small dog. Too bad.

Absolutely!!!!! Simply perfect, and what I particularly like is the value for money and the option to get smaller portions. You can also take the rest of the meal with you if you like.

I wouldn’t necessarily eat there anymore

The food was okay, but I chose this restaurant for the sake of my companion because the door asked dog owners to come without their dogs for hygiene reasons and out of consideration for other guests. When a couple with a dog sat down at the table next to us shortly after us, my companion asked them to please take the dog to the far end of the table. The dog owners didn't approve of this, so we had to move. In this respect, I find it regrettable that the sign on the door suggests to guests with dog anxiety/allergies/aversion that they have found a suitable place to meet their needs, but this hope is dashed. While we were eating there, about six dogs arrived, and there was no such thing as a dog-free area. If it doesn't even imply a tendency for the dog owner to move out of the way in the event of a conflict, for example, then I find it simply misleading and would suggest removing the signs. Then we probably wouldn't have gone there to eat in the first place, which would have been bearable.

Very good food, whether for lunch or dinner. It's best to make a reservation, as there isn't always enough space for everyone.

The staff was very unfriendly to us, which was probably due to the fact that we had a small dog with us. There was little to no dressing on the salads. We've definitely had better food.

The meat quality was good and the flavor was good. We had the grilled meat and pork medallions with mushrooms. The fries and hash browns were frozen, which is absolutely fine, but I'd recommend serving salad with the medallions before I'd also order the vegetables frozen. The fries were borderline salty, so I pointed this out to the waiter.

Our favorite local when we're in Reit im Winkl! It's always nice to stop by here. The pork knuckle is very good, and the spinach dumplings are also delicious. And despite all the rumors, well-behaved dogs are welcome and tolerated. We've never had a problem getting a table with ours. We've been coming here for ages!

We googled where to get the best Kaiserschmarrn in Reit im Winkl. Dorfratsch was one of five suggestions. Although Kaiserschmarrn is only served until 4:00 p.m., and we didn't arrive until 4:15 p.m., an exception was made, and Google was right. The Kaiserschmarrn was excellent!

Quite a nice beer garden, otherwise. The food is mediocre cafeteria fare at overpriced prices! Nothing more!

When the waiter feels like a burden to guests, there's no smile or friendly word. The food is okay. The ambiance is really nice. It's a shame, but my money goes to people who enjoy it.

We've been here twice, and both the indoor and outdoor areas are really nice places to sit. The food is okay, although the vegetarian dishes are in the 3-star range. The cheese spaetzle, in particular, wasn't to our taste; there were a lot of (almost raw) onions in the sauce. The meat dishes are in the 4-star range. During prime time, some of the staff are very stressed, so you shouldn't expect much reaction. If you arrive a little earlier, it's even more relaxed :)

A very lovingly decorated, rustic inn. We ate delicious Kaiserschmarrn there. The host was very friendly and accommodating, and also very family-friendly. We will definitely come back on our next vacation. Highly recommended!

The food was extremely delicious.

We ate here several times during our vacation, and we enjoyed the food every time. Once, we politely asked if our dogs could come along, and that wasn't a problem either. Our little son was given a small portion of spinach dumplings, which weren't listed as "for younger guests" on the menu. That wasn't a problem either.

The food may be good, but the owner and staff were very unfriendly to us. Perhaps it's because we have a dog and he doesn't like animals; it's stated at the entrance. Our dog is part of the family, and we won't go anywhere he's not allowed.

You have to be prepared for lots and lots of flies... (inside)... you had to be careful not to get any flies on your fork. The food was okay. My visit was about 14 days ago.

A good restaurant. We had schnitzel and knuckle of pork. Cons: - For whatever reason, there were an incredible number of flies (dark and green) outside in the beer garden. So we had to constantly perform kung fu moves over our plates. But that's probably not the restaurant's fault. - There was no red cabbage, which I would have preferred instead of sauerkraut. Sorry, but nothing beats brown gravy and red cabbage! - The bread dumplings tasted too dry for me, but that's how they should be. Potato dumplings are simply better, in my opinion. Cons: - A lovely atmosphere with the mountains in front of them. - A really nice, thin schnitzel, and the food was generally good. It's a good place to go, but it's not really exceptional.

The food is highly recommended...served hot and tastes delicious. The beer garden is beautifully laid out and cozy. Excellent value for money.

Unfortunately, the super waiter who had been the head waiter for many years is no longer there. Now, things are noticeably less busy there. The two other Yugoslavian waiters are trying to make the best of it. Well, dear owner, pay decently, treat the employees well, and the staff will stay!! I won't be coming back...

We visited the Dorfratsch again after two years and were very disappointed. Firstly, the food consists of frozen goods, and these are served very carelessly to the guests. Secondly, the price-performance ratio is not at all good. This was probably our last visit there.

Disappointing, if only I had read the most recent reviews, the editing is rather poor. The same was true of the food and the unfriendly service, which managed to spread the mood to all guests in the uncomfortable, bright annex buzzing with flies. Either trample through the store at a pig's gallop a la "I'm so stressed" or slam the notepad in front of the guest's nose as if you were a toddler. Old Bavarian schnitzel a disgrace, dry without any side dish except the burnt fries. It was also almost clear that there was too much on the bill, so be careful. The prices are simply higher in the checkout. Go somewhere else. Update 2025: Now with a dog ban.

Unfortunately, 3 of the main dishes that we actually selected in the online menu were no longer on offer that evening. (Liver, roast pork and smoked pork) All 4 of us then decided on the knuckle and everyone enjoyed it. If there is anything left over, we are happy to pack it up. The service was very pleasant.

We ate there with the whole family on Easter Sunday and everyone was very happy with the dishes! The food was simply delicious and the service was extremely friendly. A restaurant that we can recommend to everyone. We will come again.

Reit im Winkl/village center/on Saturday/beautiful surroundings, striking (unfortunately) too many holiday apartments, hotel, as a result the place loses its authenticity (my opinion) many shops are already closed (12.30), the village council has a view of the Wilder Kaiser/the innkeeper is very nice and the soup was very good

Schade für das Kalb. Der Kalbsgulasch in einer zu stark gewürzten Soße das der feine Geschmack des Fleisches unterging. Knöpfli sind zwar auch Spätzle aber steht so nicht auf der Karte. Zum Schweinsbraten mit Semmelknödel der Braten war so trocken. Service naja bissl Freundlicher bitte.

Good, middle-class, Bavarian restaurant. We have been here several times now. You can eat well here. All main dishes that had to be freshly prepared, such as schnitzel with fries, were always very tasty and fresh. Dishes like roast pork with red cabbage and dumplings tasted a little warmed up and the red cabbage and dumplings were already very soft and no longer too tasty. Most recently we also ordered a baked potato with vegetables. The vegetables were frozen and didn't taste like anything and were very soft.

We ate here twice with our little ones, once with a very large group of 40 people. The restaurant is beautifully designed like a chalet, very cozy and the service is great, fast and very friendly. The food is delicious. Despite the size of our group and numerous special requests (children), the service was always friendly, patient and helpful and everything went very quickly. The food was very tasty. In general, the staff is very fond of children. An absolute recommendation
