Visiting Germany from South Africa. Had a delicious meal here. Everything was fresh and full of flavour. Plenty to choose from. Vegetarian selection as well. The service was friendly and fast. We had a wonderful time.

Unfortunately, only 3 stars... The food is still very good, but unfortunately the service isn't what it used to be... I ordered a beer before dinner, which I finished during the meal. After dinner, I spent about 20 minutes in the restaurant without even being asked if I wanted anything else... Also, they always served ouzo before and after dinner... but that's irrelevant; what's worse is the lack of attention to the guests.

We were here on a Friday evening in winter because we wanted to eat something between 9 and 10 p.m. The restaurant was empty when we arrived, but later a few guests came to drink. It was very cold in the restaurant itself, even though the heaters were on. The furnishings are great, the place is clean - even if everything seems a bit older. The lighting concept needs to be reworked properly, as not even half of the lamps are in operation, but they are in colder light and then bright - that makes it a bit uncomfortable. The service was very nice, the food came quickly. We all just had the potatoes with gyros - you can never go wrong with that. Unfortunately, the meat was only lukewarm, but noticeably not freshly cut from the spit - more like half warmed up..? The potatoes were hot, the salad was fresh. Afterwards, we briefly asked ourselves whether we were really in the right restaurant, since we are not from Essen and had chosen the restaurant via Google and its reviews - but couldn't find it here. It was cheap for that. As in other reviews, parking is a disaster, as the restaurant unfortunately does not have its own spaces and the area is very full of parking.

A really great Greek restaurant! The atmosphere was very pleasant and inviting. We tried several dishes - all were tasteful, well presented and of high quality. The service was friendly, attentive and quick. The prices are also absolutely fair and reasonable. I have nothing to complain about and will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

We went there twice this weekend. On Friday we ate inside and had drinks outside on Saturday. The restaurant is decorated with attention to detail, the food (three starters, four main courses) was very tasty. It was hot, tasted fresh and was a lot. There is an Uzo to greet you and say goodbye. The waitresses are very nice and attentive. We'll be back!

There was also free liquor and bread before the meal. It was just pretty cold in the toilet. Every now and then there is even live music on site!

Very nice and friendly service (you get the impression that you are really welcome) good food. Furnishings a bit old-fashioned - but what the heck - it's all about hospitality and good food. And you get more than enough of that here. You'll be happy to go there again.

We celebrated my mother's birthday there 🥂💐. The food was very cold when it was served which was a shame. It's very cold there and drafty🥶in the whole guest area. The facility is very lovingly decorated and clean. But very, very tight if you sit at the table with a larger group. The service was friendly and very quick. The prices are normal and the portions are plentiful. It could be more seasoned in some places. We will come back again in the summer when it gets warmer. 🍀☀️🍽️🍴🍷🍻🥂🥗.

I was there for the first time today, November 24th, 2024. The building doesn't look that appealing from the outside, but it's nicely furnished inside. Friendly staff, extensive menu with prices typical of Greek restaurants, which are cheap here. I had tzatziki first and then a bifteki filled with sheep's cheese with salad and sliced ​​potatoes. Everything tasted good, I would have liked a little more sheep's cheese in the bifteki but OK. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely come back. Thanks to the team and thumbs up…

We go to the restaurant often. The food is always delicious and plentiful, and we usually let ourselves pack the rest.

Food was ok but nothing more. We were the only ones during the visit. The waitress was often nowhere to be seen and you had to call. Overall disappointed.

We took food with us in the evening and were initially pleasantly surprised that it was still pleasantly warm even after a 25-minute drive. The meat was well prepared, but unfortunately a bit sparsely seasoned. The amount of meat was also completely satisfactory, although we would have liked a little more of the fries. The people on site were very friendly and were happy to fully take our special requests into account. The rooms looked very comfortable and the beer garden was also open. Conclusion: We would love to come back.

A little piece of Greece without flight costs, delicious food, a pleasant atmosphere after work, hopefully soon outside in summer temperatures. Recommended with several friends or as a couple.

Solid offer for decades. All dishes are freshly cooked. This can be clearly seen in the slightly changing preparation. We have therefore been loyal customers since the mid-80s.

Dropped in after work for a quick dinner. Service was quick and friendly. However, the food was not what I expected from a Greek chef; it was German used, hence, wasn't seasoned at all. The grilled Halumi has his own spices, but the steak Dimitria .....

We were here for the second time. The first visit was great. Were welcomed very warmly. Unobtrusive service, delicious food, nice ambience. Last night the children wanted to go there again and it was the best decision. Everything was nice, tasted good, highly recommended. Greetings from the neighborhood.

After a long time I had dinner here with my wife. The furnishings and the seats are heavily used and are getting old. Sitting comfortably is something else. The service was good and very attentive. The food was at the level of a good takeaway. Steak plate (a small piece of molded meat) and lots of gyros with onions. The lamb fillet was good including the sauce. Both dishes had “potato chips”. Potato slices from the deep fryer with a little bit of salt.

We didn't need to reserve a table on Monday evening since the restaurant was not busy at all. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and the layout of the restaurant seemed aesthetic. Sadly the meat of my food was somewhat undercooked, making the fatty meat sometimes unchewable. My partner's Food was fine but pretty bland. But overall the dining experience was nice, especially because of our waiter!

Ein süßes Restaurant im Familienbetrieb. Seit Jahren konstant gute Qualität und ein höflicher Umgang mit den Gästen. Das Ambiente wirkt etwas in die Jahre gekommen, was das Essen jedoch nicht schmälert. Auch in der Woche abends gut besucht, spricht für sich.

Ambiente im Biergarten und der Service waren einigermaßen ok, aber in meinem, mit Käse überbackenen Gericht befanden sich 2 Haare und der Käse schien auch nicht mehr ganz gut gewesen zu sein.

Das Restaurant ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Es wirkt eher wie ein gehobenener Imbiss, als wie ein Restaurant. Das Essen ist okay, mehr aber auch nicht. In einem griechischen Imbiss auf der Steeler Straße bekomme ich bessere Speisen zu einem günstigeren Preis.

Lokal ist leider in die Jahre gekommen. Haben in der Ecke auf einer Holzbank gesessen, die sich wie eine Strafbank angefühlt hat. Platzmäßig ist alles sehr beengt. Wenn das Lokal voll ist, dann ist es leider sehr laut, weil die Räumlichkeiten sehr hellhörig sind. Das Essen war okay. Problem ist eher, dass es sehr ölig/fettig ist. Geschmacklich ist es gut. Die Toiletten sind leider in die Jahre gekommen. Hier wäre eine Renovierung dringend angebracht.

Gerne würde ich das Essen bewerten, aber ich wurde einfach nicht bedient. Nach 15 Minuten ohen Getränk ohen Karte (Restaurant war medium gefülltt) bin ich leider hungrig von dannen gezogen. Auch dann kam keine Entschuldigung/Erklärung

Erster Besuch...nur Biergarten geöffnet....wir hätten gerne drinnen mal gegessen... hoffentlich nächste mal.... Biergarten wäre einfach aufzuwerten mit bequemen Stühle und bessere schönere Tische....auch fehlt die typische mediterrane Stil mit Pflanzen... Weinranken etc. Gastgeber und das essen war aber top 🔝

Ein gutes und bodenständiges griechisches Restaurant. Das Interieur wirkt etwas verschachtelt und düster. Das Essen jedoch ist ein wahrer Lichtblick und der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und überaus freundlich. Die Tarama zur Vorspeise war eine der leckersten die ich bis jetzt hatte. Die Peperoni waren speziell eingelegt und köstlich. Die franz. Zwiebelsuppe war solide. Die Hauptgerichte (5) waren allesamt Scharas vom Grill (Fleisch) und sehr schmackhaft. Vom Lammkotelett, Souvlaki bis hin zum sehr fluffigem Soukakia(Frikadelle) war alles super. Besonders herausheben möchte ich aber noch, die absolut knusprigen Kartoffelchips. Mal was anderes als immer nur Pommes. Wir kommen wieder. Leider nicht behindertengerecht ( Stufen im Eingangsbereich, Essbereich auf verschiedenen Ebenen)

Waren gestern und heute mit 3 Personen hier beim Essen. Freundliches Personal. Vorspeise und Hauptgericht einfach lecker und reichlich. Angenehme Atmosphäre im Lokal. Würden jederzeit wieder hier her kommen, aber als Messebesucher wohnen wir zu weit weg.

Waren heute mit einer größeren Gruppe dort zum essen und es war alles bestens! Nette Mitarbeiter, super leckeres Essen, welches auch schnell kam, dafür, dass alle ziemlich gleichzeitig bestellt hatten.

Wir gehen regelmäßig ein mal im Monat hier essen,das Personal ist immer sehr freundlich und das Essen immer sehr lecker. Wir kommen gerne hier her .

Tolles Essen,sehr nette Bedienungen

Der Laden besteht schon seit so vielen Jahren und konnte deswegen nur gut sein. Das dachten wir zumindest... leider war es nicht mehr als ein Imbiss. Das der Zaziki nicht selber gemacht ist, ist für einen Griechen mit das schlimmste in meinen Augen. Ein Besuch hat gereicht.

Lust auf griechische Küche? Da macht man hier nichts falsches. Das Essen ist gut man bekommt eine gute Potion fürs Geld. Preis Leistung stimmt hier. Nur das Personal ist noch etwas besser als das Essen. Immer freundlich und aufmerksam. Habe mich hier noch nie unwohl gefühlt. Das Ambiente ist Geschmackssache. Manche finden vielleicht die Möbel alt... ich hingegen mag die Einrichtung. Bei einem Griechen fände ich auch luxuriösere Einrichtung auch nicht wirklich passend. Ich gehe hier gerne essen.

Waren dort Samstagabend essen und es war wieder einmal sehr gut! Bedienung sehr nett und zügig, Essen spitze, auch was Preis/Leistung angeht. Die Gerichte waren einfach super (besonders die Lammkottelets). Wir können dieses Restaurant guten Gewissens weiter empfehlen.

Ich kenne das Restaurant seit meiner Kindheit. Das Essen ist sehr gut 👍. Der Service herzlich, das Ambiente sehr stark 💪 in die Jahre gekommen, nun den Wer es urrig und retro, sowie die Zeit ist stehen geblieben mag ist halt Geschmackssache. Ich finde das Ambiente bräuchte mal ein Upgrade.

Wir waren dort gestern essen. Ein sehr schönes, gemütliches griechisches Restaurant. Das Personal ist freundlich, zuvorkommend und sehr nett. Wir wurden schnell bedient und wurden oft gefragt ob alles in Ordnung ist, oder wir noch etwas wünschen. Das Essen war hervorragend und sehr lecker. Die Auswahl war reichhaltig und für jeden etwas dabei. Fünf Sterne dafür... Ich kann nur empfehlen dort einmal essen zu gehen. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder
