Typical Greek food in Germany. Very tasty in a pleasant atmosphere at reasonable prices.

Wow, we're really impressed and will definitely be back. The food: poli oreo! The ambiance is really great. The service: extremely attentive and super friendly. The value for money is good, in my opinion. Simply efcharistó.

Most of the food comes without a side salad. It's very expensive, though! The drinks are also very expensive. For example, a bottle of water costs €7.50. They didn't even offer an ouzo to finish off the meal. 😪🤔

A nice, not-so-run-of-the-mill Greek restaurant. You sit comfortably under the trees and receive very friendly and attentive service. One caveat: Gyros made to a tiny size will be dry. It's best to order something else.

Here you'll find Greek specialties, but not run-of-the-mill; the cuisine is excellent. And the service is fantastic, too. Both the sun terrace with its beautiful trees and the interior are super cozy. We'd love to come back!

Very friendly staff. What I really liked as a Crete lover was the clear traditional influence on Greek cuisine. Best Gigantes plaki in a long time, fine tsaziki, everything tasty and individual. Daughter was thrilled, I was thrilled. Will 100% go back.

Restaurant hors centre ville et disposant d’un parking et d'une jolie terrasse ombragée. Un joli bâtiment bien entretenu et joliment décoré. La carte est uniquement en allemand… Coté cuisine le mix gril est copieux mais la viande du gyros était un rien trop sec. Le personnel est souriant et attentionné. Malheureusement il n’y a pas de Retsina… et c’est assez bruyant. Réservation préalable conseillée surtout le W-E.

To balance things out on the way back from Essen, we stopped at this beautiful restaurant. Outdoor terrace with illuminated plane trees and olive trees create a Mediterranean flair. The restaurant was completely booked, all tables were occupied, but we were lucky and a couple left and we were still assigned a nice table. Excellent ambience, extensive menu, very tasty food. And as a Düsseldorfer you are happy when Alt (Bolten) is on the menu. We would love to come back. :-)

Very nice restaurant. We were there with 4 people. The service is pleasantly attentive and friendly. All dishes were beautifully prepared and tasted excellent. Clear recommendation.

We were refused. More than half of the tables were empty. The excuse given was that the kitchen was understaffed. Travesty!!

We wanted to eat there today and came to the terrace. There were still over 10 tables available. However, we were still not allowed to sit down and were sent away because the service staff were at their capacity. Unfortunately not very customer friendly 🙈

The 'Oniro' Resturant stands out with its quality of food, staff and location. It was outstanding. Cleanliness and parking options in front of the restaurant were really good. I haven't eaten so well in a long time. We will visit the restaurant more often.

We ate there today by chance because many restaurants were closed after Pentecost. We were absolutely satisfied with the food and the friendly service and will definitely come back.

We spontaneously stopped by the Oniro country house today and were very satisfied. A really great beer garden with lots of tables. The staff is very nice and loves children, two tables were spontaneously put together for us. The food was very tasty and freshly prepared, all in all a clear recommendation.

Everything is top, prices are justified!

A super cute and cozy old country house where you can eat delicious Greek food. Here you will not only find an inviting atmosphere, but also excellent service. We came across the restaurant spontaneously last night. Excellent food, very friendly service and a great location. An extra plus point for us is that we were allowed to rest in the parking lot overnight, as we are only passing through.

Cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. Prices above standard, portions more than enough. What was noticed negatively was that there was no ouzo to greet us or anything else to say goodbye. No salad with the main course. Service was very polite and courteous, the only thing missing was the question when saying goodbye whether everything was okay.

We had dinner there at short notice on a Saturday evening. Luckily there was still a table available at 8pm. (Reservation by telephone at 5 p.m.) The atmosphere feels cozy and invites you to stay longer. It's a bit warm and stuffy, and a bit noisy from the other guests. Since the ceilings are quite low, the sound doesn't travel well. However, it didn't bother us. As a greeting from the kitchen there were 4 slices of baguette with aioli. The baguette was quite unspectacular and not crispy. However, the aioli was very tasty and not too garlicky. When we asked whether there was raw egg in it, as my wife is pregnant and wanted to avoid raw egg to be on the safe side (common with homemade mayo, with store-bought mayo the egg yolk is usually boiled and pureed) we were told that it was made with mayo . Without us having to elaborate further, we were offered and brought a second alternative spread based on beetroot. Of course also at no extra charge. We thought this gesture was great and not a given! The food (both the plate Pikilia) was just amazing! The souzouki was juicy and not gristly at all. The gyro with onions and fresh parsley was not dry and partly nicely toasted (but not crispy). The souvlaki was tender and juicy. The potato slices were also juicy yet crispy. A great substitute for fries! The tzatziki was also very tasty. There was no side salad, but it wasn't excellent either. Given the amount of meat, it would have been too much for us. The staff was always friendly, courteous and quick. The prices are a bit high. However, the quality is good. We'll definitely be back!

Wir waren an einem Samstagabend kurzfristig dort essen. Glücklicherweise war noch ein Tisch um 20 Uhr verfügbar. (Telefonische Reservierung um 17 Uhr) Das Ambiente wirkt gemütlich und lädt zum länger bleiben ein. Es ist etwas warm und stickig, zudem etwas Laut durch die anderen Gäste. Da die Decken recht niedrig sind verläuft sich der Schall nicht gut. Störte uns jedoch nicht. Als Gruß aus der Küche gab es 4 Scheiben Baguette mit Aioli. Das Baguette war recht unspektakulär und nicht knusprig. Die Aioli war allerdings sehr lecker und nicht zu Knoblauchlastig. Auf die Frage hin, ob dort rohes Ei enthalten ist, da meine Frau schwanger ist und auf rohes Ei sicherheitshalber verzichten möchte (bei selbstgemachter Mayo üblich, bei gekaufter ist das Eigelb meist gekocht und püriert) wurde uns gesagt, dass es mit Mayo zubereitet ist. Ohne dass wir weiter darauf eingehen mussten wurde uns ein zweiter Alternativer Aufstrich auf rote Beete Grundlage angeboten und gebracht. Natürlich auch ohne Aufpreis. Diese Geste fanden wir super und nicht selbstverständlich! Das Essen (beide den Teller Pikilia) war einfach super! Das Souzouki war saftig und keineswegs Knorpelig. Das Gyros mit Zwiebeln und frischer Petersilie war nicht trocken und teilweise schön angeröstet (allerdings nicht knusprig). Das Souvlaki war zart und saftig. Die Kartoffelscheiben waren ebenfalls saftig und dennoch knusprig. Ein top Pommesersatz! Auch das Tzatziki war sehr lecker. Einen Beilagensalat gab es nicht, war aber auch nicht mit ausgezeichnet. Wäre uns bei der Menge des Fleisches aber auch zu viel gewesen. Das Personal war stets freundlich, zuvorkommend und zügig. Die Preise sind etwas hoch. Allerdings stimmt die Qualität dafür. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Der Beilagensalat fehlte komplett bei allen Personen. Die Preise für die doch recht einfachen Gerichte scheinen mir hier sehr überzogen zu sein. Der anschließende Kaffee war leider zu kühl. Das man nach dem Essen noch einen Ouzo bekommt scheint hier nicht üblich zu sein.

I've been thinking about writing this review for a while - but I think it's right to give some food for thought here. We have been very satisfied regular guests at Oniro for years and feel comfortable there. The food is really good and tasty. It's all ok. BUT: the updated prices are simply not appropriate and are clearly too high. Unfortunately, Oniro is taking the route of both raising prices and also saving money on food and drinks. A bowl of tzatziki now costs €7.20!! - that simply cannot be conveyed and is also not okay. The salads for the main courses have been completely eliminated - the prices have also been raised drastically - most meat dishes are over €20.00. The ouzo before the meal was also eliminated. Dear Oniro team - we know that everything has become more expensive - but your “adjustment” was too severe.

Fisch und Lamm waren OK. Gemüsebeilage wie die Vorspeisen einfallslos. Alles in allem einfacher Standard zu total überhöhten Preisen.

We have been guests at Oniro for many, many years. Even at a time when the portions were still far too large. At some point there was a counter-regulation and mass became class. Delicious dishes, delicious salads, wonderful preparation of the food, super tasty grilled plates. Even during/after the Corona period, this high standard was maintained, so we even traveled from the neighboring town. Well, it is well known that eating out will no longer be a cheap pleasure in 2024. But when you've been a guest for so many years, a few things stand out: - No more salads for the main courses - No more welcome ouzo, instead a “greeting from the kitchen”. Why? The greeting from a Greek kitchen is an ouzo! Please come back to it. - The always delicious and juicy potato slices now tend to be more thin potato chips - The pepper sauce on the beef fillet, which cost almost €40, tasted more like a ready-made mixture instead of freshly prepared. - The rump steak was split in half, obviously because the chef wasn't sure how cooked it was. Now you can say that high costs simply require austerity measures, but a look at the menu shows that the prices have also been raised massively. 7€ for a bowl of tzatziki, almost every main course now costs (well over) 20€. I understand if the quality and performance remain the same, but unfortunately that is not the case here. Price adjustments are one thing, but there is currently a step backwards in quality and scope. I would welcome it if Oniro would return to its original customs.

We have been to the country house several times with the entire family for Christmas and it was great every time. The food is delicious. And even though the restaurant is very busy, the service is always top notch. We'd love to come back.

Very disappointing that the salad is now being omitted (without prior information, hidden price increase!) There is definitely a false economy! Otherwise the food was delicious as always.

Das beste Gyros (Überbacken), das ich seit langem gegessen habe. Dazu das tolle Ambiente in einem Fachwerkhaus und die nette Bedienung! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Authentisches griechisches Essen, superprofessionell geführt, meine Eltern sind seit vielen Jahren Stammgäste und ich freue mich auch bei jedem Besuch darauf. Das Lammfilet ist dort unübertroffen. Ebenso wie der frische Oktopus.
