An Italian atmosphere. The staff is very helpful - always a good atmosphere. The food is fantastic. Been there several times and always enjoy it.

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Munich, we go there very often. however disappointed with our last visit. We wanted to order 2 misto antipasti indicated at around €18 on the menu, the waiter brought us a tray loaded with €70 on the bill. It was too much for us since everyone didn't want it and we brought back the leftovers. I find that such a difference in price must be indicated by the waiter when ordering and we felt ripped off this time. It cooled us slightly to come back.

I'm Italian and very picky. This is my favourite restaurant in Munich. Food is good when not perfect, but the real highlight is the service: Gianni and the team make you feel home, you're going to have a great dinner for a fair price and the smile going away is a certainty!!

A true highlight in Munich! The food was outstanding – especially the Ragù della Mamma was incredibly aromatic and tasted like homemade. The Petto di Manzo was perfectly prepared, buttery soft, and full of flavor. The Fritt e Pesce were wonderfully crispy and fresh. The Insalata Mista was also crisp and refined with a great dressing. The drinks were equally excellent: The Tanqueray gin and tonic was perfectly mixed, the pale beer was freshly tapped, and the Liscía (still water) was served pleasantly chilled. The very friendly and pleasant service deserves special mention – the staff were attentive, courteous, and made us feel completely at ease. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. An all-round successful evening – we'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!

This was the worst pizzeria I have ever visited. The menu itself is dingy and invites you to get up again rather than stay seated and order something. For me, a good Italian restaurant requires a classic lasagne, which is not something you can find here. The pasta offered instead had little flavor and the meat was very fatty. They don't even seem to be able to use a kettle to boil hot water to serve tea on a cold day.

It's difficult for me to give criticism, but restaurant reviews are often used. So then to the point: The service was very friendly, quick and always there. The ambience is cozy and authentic, although it already has a certain patina. Drinks were fine, appetizer plates were great, dessert was delicious, but all three of our main courses were disappointing. The calamari from the grill only had black burnt stripes, nothing else, not even any seasoning, the pizzas couldn't keep up with the taste of other restaurants we know. The restaurant has been around for a long time, so we're hoping this was just a one-time failure.

A wonderful evening! Not only is excellent food served here, but the friendly and attentive staff create a relaxed and very pleasant atmosphere - almost like a short vacation in Italy. Everything came fresh and quickly, the pizza was perfect with a crusty edge and a juicy center. Sure, good staff and the location cost money... expensive, but it was worth every cent!

Actually, I was always happy with the food... But last time it wasn't good. I ordered calamari with grilled vegetables. The calamari was tasteless and the vegetables were burnt. Maybe I would have been better off ordering a pizza.

Quaint Italian restaurant, best Italian food ever, excellent cuisine. The three of us ate there on 2 days. Everything was absolutely delicious. Thank you for the lovely culinary stay. We had, among other things, spagetti carbonara, ravioli, pasta with potatoes and tripe, pasta with lamb ragout, pizza originale, tartufo. Gladly again on the next visit to Munich. It was the best restaurant I've ever been to. We went there two days in a row because the food was absolutely fantastic and the service was so friendly and reliable. I can only recommend it from the bottom of my heart! On the second day we didn't make a reservation but the owner recognized us and offered us a table with a short wait. Unfortunately the pizza was rubbery and had a strange taste. Another time the carbonara was excessively salty. For the price not very satisfied. The service and kindness were very good though

The worst lamb chops I've ever had. Reheated and burned. The rest of the food was poorly processed and of poor quality. Not worth a visit!

Highly recommended, especially dry edged steak but the pizza is also unique here.

Hier wird nicht nur ausgezeichnetes Essen serviert, sondern durch das sympathische und aufmerksame Personal eine entspannte und sehr angenehme Atmosphäre geschaffen - fast wie ein kleiner Urlaub in Italien. Alles kam frisch uns schnell, die Pizza perfekt mit krustigem Rand und saftiger Mitte. Klar, gutes Personal und die Lage kosten Geld ... hochpreisig, war aber jeden Cent wert !

I recently visited this local Italian restaurant and had a mixed experience. The margarita pizza was less than average; the crust was a bit soggy, and the flavors didn’t quite pop as I had hoped. The arrabbiata pasta was okay, with a decent level of spice, but it lacked the depth of flavor that makes this dish truly memorable. However, the highlight of my meal was definitely the ravioli pasta. It was simply the best I’ve ever had! The filling was rich and flavorful, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. Each bite was a delightful experience that left me wanting more. On the positive side, the staff were incredibly friendly and fast, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Their attentiveness added a nice touch to the overall dining experience. While not every dish lived up to expectations, the ravioli and excellent service made my visit worthwhile. I would recommend trying the ravioli if you go, but perhaps skip the pizza.

Nice, stylishly furnished Italian restaurant - unfortunately with a 2 hour slot. This means that the table you reserve at 6 p.m. is available until 8 p.m. This is very annoying, otherwise the service is very friendly. Enjoy your meal.

Found by accident. Actually a recommendation from the restaurant opposite. Door. Foreboding. Door open. Aladdin’s cave for foodies. Staff wonderful. Ambiance. Incredible. Food. The food. We all had pizza. Not much can go wrong with a pizza. Well of course it can. But these pizzas were, and deserve to be in the pantheon of ( dammit, I already used incredible) stupendous. Ah. Got one. Stupendous is a good word to describe the pizzas and all things connected to our dining. A massive thank you to our waiter. I don’t know his name. I should. But everything was perfect.

2 out of 3 dishes were quite good. Unfortunately the restaurant is a bit impersonal and loud. You book time slots of 2 hours and we were occasionally informed that we still had 40 minutes, which we found very annoying. The prices are clearly too high and inappropriate for the offering and quality. We don't really recommend it.

Fantastic restaurant! Classic Italian environment, with kind, welcoming, extremely friendly and approachable staff! Perfect place to truly feel in Italy! Delicious pizza, and fabulous rib eye! The three of us reserved a table for 6 p.m. We ordered the Pizza L'Originale, Pizza Capricciosa and the truffle pasta with scampi and pumpkin sauce. All dishes tasted excellent. The service was very attentive and the little dog companion was even given a water bowl. However, there were slight difficulties when explaining the wines. The furnishings are quaint and rustic, yet relatively comfortable. Price performance top! However, please note that you have a maximum stay of 2 hours if you reserve for 6 p.m., as the next round begins at 8 p.m. and the table must be handed over. We were kindly informed about this at around 7:50 p.m. The restaurant is therefore well suited for meetings in between, but less so if you would like to stay for another wine or something similar or have more to talk about. Otherwise we were very satisfied and would like to come back.

Been to this restaurant multiple times whenever I visit Munich for business trip. Right next to Rosenheimer S-Bahn station. An authentic Italian restaurant which always meet my expectations. Basic than the best, their Mozzarella Cheese Pizza simply the best. This trip we tried the seafood platter, the squid, shrimp & bass were grilled to perfection, however the tuna somehow lack of some characters against other seafood component. The vegetable that went with the grilled seafood was cooked with just optimum heat which blend well in generous olive oil, among all, I really love the cauliflower & celery. Adding up the charisma of the restaurant was the friendliness & polite staff… Grazie from Singapore.

Had lunch again after a long break. The prices have dropped significantly, main courses from 20 euros. The caprese was quite carelessly prepared. The Pizza Originale tastes very good, unfortunately with a thick crust and manageable toppings. The lamb chop 40 euros! was ok. The wines cost a good 0.2 for 12 euros each. The acoustics in the wood-panelled anteroom were difficult, we couldn't understand our own words, and there was also the loud music in the restaurant, some of it techno beats, which unfortunately wasn't very comfortable.

The staff was absolutely fantastic. Even though it was busy, they always made sure we had wine or water to drink. Their El Classico is a must, I can't recommend it enough.

Nice Italian restaurant in the middle of Munich. Good food, good service - unfortunately the area and the outside area are not that nice.

Per sentirsi a casa a Monaco di Baviera, devi passare esclusivamente dal Cavaliere. Locale bello e molto accogliente, personale divinamente preparato, Davide su tutti, un ragazzo giovane ma molto preparato, cordiale e gentile. Cibo... Una delizia per tutti i palati. Da ritornarci assolutamente.

Realmente disfrutamos Dal Cavaliere. La comida es muy auténtica y deliciosa. La pasta era increíble. Nuestro servicio fue excelente. El único inconveniente es que el nivel de ruido puede ser demasiado alto. Recomendamos encarecidamente este encantador restaurante en una zona muy bonita del barrio.

Amazing find we tried to get into the nearby highly rated Giorgia but couldn't and found this and boy we were not disappointed a little bit of Italy in Munich....Bellissimo

Very good Neapolitan pizza, great dough and quality ingredients. I found it a bit cramped in the five-person restaurant. Table was available for 2 hours with reservation.

Never again, staff completely overwhelmed, complaints were not addressed, only smiled.

Man kann schön draußen sitzen (Reservierung angeraten!), Getränke kommen schnell, beim Essen gab es leider einiges zu bemängeln: das Kalbfleisch beim vitello tonnato war sehr zäh, kaum zu schneiden; als man den halbvollen Teller zurückgehen ließ und man das mit der Zähigkeit des Fleisches begründete, kam keine Entschuldigung, keine Entschädigung in Form eines Expressos oder sonst was. Und das bei 17. €. Bei dem Teller Bruschetta stellte man Salz, Pfeffer , Öl und Essig dazu, also würzte man kräftig. Aber das war zu viel, da die Tomaten schon gesalzen waren. Danach großer Durst ,also noch ein 2. Bier - es kamen zwei. So schnell hingestellt, dass man nicht reklamieren konnte. Am Nachbartisch fand man den Fisch alt und zäh - wieder keinerlei Reaktion. Fazit: Nettes Ambiente, für die Preise zu schlechte Qualität! Aber schöne Stoffservietten!

This is a great Italian restaurant with authentic and delicious cuisine. My guests went with different pizza. All thought their food was delicious. Tiramisu was the dessert and is highly recommended.

Very friendly staff, food very tasty. I had the four cheese Pizza, a word of advice it has no tomato sauce,so is cheese and pizza base only, so perhaps order a side salad to lighten the load. An Italian gem near Munich city center. Great service. Good menu. Great cocktails and delicious food. I ordered a aperol spritz to begin the meal and it was one of the best ones ever. Then I tried their osso buco milanese which was delicious and abundant and I cleaned the plate with the bread. Great ambiance and other city close to the Rosenheimer platz. Walking distance from may hotels in the area looking forward to next visit.

What a fantastic place to enjoy Italian food! The two of us ate a salad with scallops and asparagus as a starter. For the main course there was pizza “originale” with tomatoes and mozzarella as well as the grilled plate with fish (which included: a large piece of tuna and redfish, calamari, shrimp and lots of vegetables). We rounded the whole thing off with a tiramisu. The food was excellent - everything was fried to perfection, seasoned appropriately, and presented with style. When the weather is nice you can sit outside and enjoy your meal under the thick shade of chestnut trees. The atmosphere is otherwise rather rustic (simple tables and chairs, furnishings, ...), but that shouldn't be a reason not to come here!

Excellent place for an exquisite dinner with friends. We were told about this restaurant by some local friends. This place is always full especially on weekends, we made a reservation and we will definitely return!

We've never been here before and chose Dal Cavaliere for dinner for #Bigfoot's birthday and went with the whole family. Basically, you have to say that there is a lot of movement there. There is a constant coming and going in terms of branches and waiters. As a result, the service is great. Of course, it is also correspondingly loud. We had a seat in the aisle. It's certainly more pleasant further forward or right at the back, also because of the volume. For all those who have never been there. Dal Cavaliere is, as far as we could tell, a traditional Neapolitan restaurant with delicious and hearty dishes. There are also refrigerators at the entrance where high-quality meat is stored. Our food was great. Whether it was pizza caprese, pizza bresaola, pizza originale or vitello tonnato, it was a success. And you don't have to eat the black spots on the pizza. For dessert we had ice cream or tartuffo and a serenade for the birthday boy. Wonderful! The restaurant impressed us and we can only recommend it. In summer, there is also an outdoor seating area in the pedestrian zone. Wheelchair users and disabled people also have no trouble getting into the restaurant. The only thing is really the volume, but the good food and drinks do the rest, so you'll be happy to come back again! Last but not least: the restaurant is very well located and can be reached by streetcar and S-Bahn via Rosenheimer Platz. Although the dishes are a little more expensive than at Italian restaurants in the area, they taste good and fresh and there is a large selection to choose from.

Unfortunately, the pizza was watery in the middle and simply inedible (I have no idea what the pizza maker was thinking by selling a watery pizza to customers). The noodles originally had 5 pieces of noodles in it for €16 and the plate was carelessly prepared and the meat was no longer good! Overall it was just a waste of money. I paid €40 for a meal like this. I've been to many Italian restaurants but this was definitely the worst. The waiters can't help it and were nice, but still very bad food saves your money.

I ordered a pizza with hot salami and gorgonzola, what came was a watery, soggy pizza with a slice of gorgonzola and the rest of the mozzarella with hot salami and everything was tasteless. The starter beef carpaccio was very poor with extra Ricola on top. But the crowning glory was a 0.4 liter Spezi with 5 ice cubes, i.e. there would be about 0.2 liters of Spezi in it. I find something like that outrageous, which is what I told the waiter. (He probably can't help it that his boss maximizes his profits. Sorry, you can really save yourself a place like that ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

A very well-kept Italian restaurant in a great location. Parking is difficult, but the S-Bahn and tram are right at the door. I was here for the evening with a group. There was enough space at the table, service was attentive and quick. The menu was short and contained interesting daily specials. I shared the 1.2 kg T-Bone with colleagues... a dream.

We didn't have a reservation, but we quickly got a table for 3 people. The waiters were super attentive and friendly. It took less than 10 minutes from ordering the food to receiving it. The pizzas and pasta were perfect. Gladly again😃

The waiter who serve us was really friendy and nice. Our drink was full with ice even the outdoor temperature was only 8°C. My friend ordered pasta and it was delicious. My pizza was overbaked and a burnt in some places. The dough was really thin but the cheese topping was delicious. The restaurant athmosphere was bit dark.
