Delicious food! Service is usually very friendly with a few exceptions, but anyone can have a bad day sometimes - so they turn a blind eye. Yes, it's a high-priced restaurant, but everyone has the freedom to choose and theoretically you could decide against it. But there are some things that border on rudeness and a complete rip-off. Which is very sad. For requesting olive oil, they add an extra €3 to the bill. (Rudeness!) The pasta is a hefty €24, but they turn a blind eye here too, because the Bolognese pasta is really delicious. Small side salad €6.50... okay, but even here it's too expensive for a small portion of just GREEN. Strawberry mascarpone for dessert at €10.50 isn't worth it - BECAUSE, unfortunately, it's absolutely not tasty! But what's absolutely amazing and a pure rip-off: 0.75 l of Plose water for €10!! You can't turn a blind eye to that, and you can't even try to make it sound better! This is really absurd and makes visiting the restaurant no fun. :( Despite the beautiful outdoor terrace

If you want to be harassed in the evening by an unqualified and unfriendly waitress, this is the place for you. A little anecdote: In her opinion, my allergies are my "problem," not hers. I should just eat a salad or find another restaurant, as allergy-friendly food wouldn't fit into the concept of Bar Giornale. What fits perfectly into the concept, however, is €10 for a mineral water and poor service that considers itself more refined than its own guests. A truly well-developed path to success! We wish the newly opened Bar Giornale all the best and, above all, lots of luck on its journey.

Ein guter Kaffee ein ebenfalls gutes wenn auch etwas mächtiges Avocado rot mit pochiertem Ei und sehr viel Frischkäse! Der Restaurantbereichbist einladend gedeckt , doch der vordere Barbereicht schaut etwas kühl und leer aus , damit meine ich weder gedeckte Tische noch eine Kerze oder ein Blümchen darauf,wirkt ein bisschen wenn man dort nicht Platz nehmen sollte Sonst kann ich nichts schlechtes erwähnen , freundlicher Service und eigentlich ein sehr schönes Ambiente mit einem großem und ruhigen Aussenbereich

The food was delicious and the service was super friendly. However, the noise level in the restaurant was very high, making it difficult for five people to have a conversation at one table.

Bar Giornale is right across the street from my new apartment, so I thought I'd give it a visit. The breakfast selection is limited but good, the coffee is tasty, and I really like the interior. It's a stylish bar with a cozy outdoor area and attentive staff.

Nach dem langen Umbau ist die Bar Giornale endlich eine stilvolle und zugleich sehr gemütliche Adresse geworden Egal ob im schön gedeckten Restaurantbereich,der Bar oder im idyllischen Garten…. man sitzt überall sehr nett und in einem schönen Ambiente Leider war mein Besuch sehr kurz und ganz spontan,so dass ich außer Kaffee nichts anderes beurteilen konnte. Aber es hat mir sehr gefallen und ich werden zu einem Mittagessen schon bald wieder kommen

Great food and drinks! Always happy to come back

Last Wednesday, after it had been closed for a while, I eagerly reserved a table at Bar Gironale. My partner and our dog were looking forward to spending a pleasant evening together – a welcome opportunity to go out in the summery 30-degree heat at 6 p.m. Unfortunately, this joy was quickly dampened. Initially, the atmosphere in the restaurant was already somewhat tense. When I politely asked for water for our dog, it was brought, but with unexpected consequences. The waiter came a short time later and asked for the bowl back – apparently, it was to be shared with other guests. Despite my warning about the high temperatures and the dog's need for fluids, no acceptable solution was offered. The manager came to the table and refused to bring a replacement bowl from the kitchen – this would not fit the restaurant's "design." He also justified the restrictive policy by alleging that bowls had been stolen. Ultimately, he suggested giving the bowl to another dog for 15 minutes and then returning it. I reluctantly agreed – but after more than 40 minutes and repeated inquiries from two waiters, nothing happened. When I finally asked the manager again and expressed my disappointment, he even denied ever having said anything about 15 minutes – even though my partner could attest to this. In the end, we had no choice but to pay the bill in disappointment. Conclusion: Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Bar Gironale. In my opinion, the treatment of dog owners was inappropriate, not customer-friendly, and in some parts discriminatory. Especially on hot days, a simple request like a water bowl for dogs should not be made a matter of principle. It was our first visit after a long break – and definitely the last.

Finally back after the "forced break," and even better than before, if we can say so ourselves! That means it's simply excellent in every respect! :-) The food is high quality and fresh! Great drinks like wine, etc., etc.! The service is always friendly and helpful, with a sympathetic ear for guests! The interior is beautifully decorated, with what is almost the most beautiful bar in the city... Highly recommended and enjoy! :-) Just keep it up....;-)

Endlich wieder offen:) Endlich wieder eine tolle Bar, tolles Restaurant, tolle Leute und super tolle Location! Ganz ehrlich, es gibt dort super gute, frische Gerichte dazu immer sehr feine Getränke wie Weine usw etc. Man darf das Lokal an der Leopoldstraße allen herzlich empfehlen!!! :)

I was there for lunch and was quite disappointed. The dishes were unusually expensive at lunchtime, and the service was neither particularly friendly nor attentive.

€9.60 for a bottle of water is bordering on outrageous... not to mention the other prices. It's still just plain Italian food!

Sehr netter und persönlicher Empfang, freundlicher Service, nicht perfekt aber sehr sympathisch. Alles super lecker, die Linguine al tartufo waren ein Traum. Und die Torta di nonna erst… Also, eine Top-Empfehlung, wir kommen gerne wieder!

We had a lovely evening at Bar Giornale. The food was delicious, but the main courses were brought even though two people hadn't finished the starter yet. And I was still missing the final whistle. Service was chaotic, funny and nice. At the end of the evening we had the pleasure of working with 5 or 6 different service staff. This led to the same questions being asked several times and people constantly being interrupted during the conversation. A maximum of two service staff should be assigned per table. We also found the constant asking whether we wanted to drink anything else and whether we wanted to order anything else to be intrusive. Ambience really nice, well thought out and cozy, good and relaxed music. Prices are definitely high. In our opinion, the coordination with the kitchen and service was not quite right. Overall, we enjoyed the evening and will try Bar Giornale again in 2-3 months. Hopefully the service will be up and running by then.

I went in as an emergency and politely asked if I could use the toilet. The answer from (presumably) the owner: “no, only for guests”. That means I will never be a guest here. Good luck!

Beautiful location, friendly and welcoming staff, especially the manager who made us feel at ease. We will return soon, recommended.

Miss this place! Most beautiful terrace in the city, friendly and attentive team, great open wines by the glass and Parmigiana at lunchtime or pasta with scampi and truffles in the evening. Always a perfect choice! La vita è bella!

One of the most beautiful Italian restaurants in Munich!

Unfortunately it was very loud because a large table next to us was fully occupied. Ordered dessert but didn't come for a long time. Only when we asked were we told that it was already over and whether we would like something else. Otherwise nice atmosphere.

Tolle Atmosphäre! Die Pasta und das vor allem das Tiramisu war bombenmäßig! Unbedingt Weiterzuempfehlen!

Leider sehr laut vor allem wenn eine große Gruppe von Gästen an einer großen Tafel sitzt. Preise im oberen Bereich, Service und Qualität okay , Jedoch nicht überragend.

Perfekter Italiener ohne Schnickschnack, sehr edel gehalten aber preislich nicht überteuert. Wenn man in münchen top essen gehen will, dann hier!

Lange ein toller Laden, ständig dort gewesen. Inzwischen ist der Kunde nur noch Nebenprogramm: Wünsche werden meist abgelehnt. Komische Regeln wann es was gibt. (Organgensaft nur als Frühstück). Öffnungszeiten wechseln so schnell dass man sich nicht verlassen kann. Mehr geschlossen als offen. Ein untergehender Stern. Schade. Waren viel, oft und immer gerne da.

Un restaurante que me gustó mucho, en una zona residencial pero con encanto. Rodeado de zona verde, te transporta a un sitio tranquilo y relajado. Fuimos en pareja, mi risoto con productos de mar estaba buenísimo. Volveria seguro.

Service was poor, food and bill took very long. The risotto was poorly done, had more broth and tasted more likd porridge than risotto. Bill came up to quite a lot especially way overpriced for the type of quality you get. Definitely not worth a visit, and i will never go again. Noisy and dark ambience

Wenn es 6 Sterne geben würde, würde ich auch sechs Sterne vergeben. Das Essen war fantastisch und die Servicekraft sehr aufmerksam, draußen ein sehr angenehmes Klima und auch drinnen alles top hergerichtet

Top Italiener… Team spitze, Essen super.

Mittagstisch: Salat gut, Fusili ok, aber ein bischen langwelig und eine recht überschaubare Portion. Cappuchino top (na ja, wäre ja auch schlimm wenn nicht). Leopoldstrassenpreise... Aber da es um die Mittagszeit hier nur "ums Business geht" fällt das für die Besucher wohl alles nicht so ins Gewicht.

Guter Kaffee, gutes Dessert, freundliches Personal und faire Preise. So mag ich das, gerne wieder :)

Das Mittagessen war sehr lecker. Jedoch war es drinnen ein bißchen zu laut.

Wirklich tolle Speisen! Sehr nettes und unkompliziertes Personal und gute Lage. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder Mal hierher.

Decent Italian food but at not so decent prices (i.e. expensive). It tends to be the haunt of the corporate folk of Munich Re, Allianz, BCG etc. which means that many of them couldn’t care less about the prices when it’s being put into the company’s tab anyway.

Italienisches Flair pur in der Landeshauptstadt

Modern interpretierte italienische Küche und ein sehr freundliches Team in entspannter Atmosphäre. Der alkoholfreie Hugo war geschmacklich kräftig und mit der für mich richtigen süßen Note versehen. Als Starter war das MILLEFOGLIE DI VERDURE auf der Karte die Überraschung des Abends. Eine unerwartete und außergewöhnliche Gaumenfreude. Die Saucen zu den Jakobsmuscheln vom Grill und den Hauptspeisen sind durchaus noch ausbaufähig. Insgesamt befindet sich die Küche jedoch auf gehobenem Niveau und die Grundprodukte sind von einer hervorragenden Qualität. Zum Dessert gab es auf Empfehlung einen sehr guten New York Cheesecake.

Es ist immer wieder schön in der Bar Giornale zu sitzen. Das Ambiente ist bezaubernd, die Bedienungen, insbesondere das blonde Mädl, ist erfrischend und immer gut gelaunt sowie auch die Speisen und Getränke lassen uns länger verweilen als wir geplant haben. Vielen Dank und bis bald!

Danke liebe Gastronomen das Ihr diese Krise so gut überstanden habt und das ihr jetzt wieder da seid, für euer Publikum. Auch du Jazzbarbesitzer im Glockenbach. Demnächst. Du musst halt noch ein wenig warten. Dafür beschäftigst du zwischenzeitlich die von Steuergeldern finanzierten Einrichtungen der LH München mit deinen Anliegen, schreibst ein langweiliges Buch, und liest auch noch daraus vor. Uiuiui.... Danke, Giornale. Bei dir sind wir neulich nach einem anstrengenden Termin gesessen und haben uns erholt. Und du hast uns das richtig schön italienisch gemacht. Da kommt eine bunte Keramikflasche mit Olivenöl und Brot, Burata und Parmaschinken und alles ist sehr liebevoll gemacht. Danke ragazzi! Oder wie gendert man gleich wieder auf italienisch.

Enttäuschender Abend. Essen war fad und bei der Weinempfehlung für ein Glas Wein über 13 Euro abgerechnet. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Wie bei so vielen anderen Bewertungen musste ich gestern Mittag auch meine Erfahrung machen.... Es fing schon am Desinteresse der Bedienung an,dem langen nicht beachten dann die Karte gebracht und wieder mussten wir länger warten bis jemand unsere Bestellung aufnahm. Sehr sehr teuer alles , egal ob offenes Glas Wei. Oder auch das Speiseangebot. Die Salate enttäuschend und wie gesagt der Service leider kaum vorhanden,was in so einer Preisklasse nicht angenehm ist.

Bei aller Freude über eine Location, die ruhig an der turbulenten leopoldstrasse liegt: die Speisekarte klingt toll, das Essen aber ist sehr übersichtlich und unspektakulär. Drei !! walnüsse auf salat mit "gratiniertem" ziegenkäse, der eigentlich nur warm in einer undefinierbaren Marinade daher kam. Völlig überteuert aber sind die Preise für Getränke. 10 Euro für ein Glas Wein, das dann auch noch schlecht eingeschenkt ist. Das ist selbst für München gesalzen. Sieben Tische besetzt - man ahnt, warum.
