L'Osteria München am Gasteig in München

I wouldn't recommend this Losteria location. The service staff had a cold and were constantly sniffing their noses. How are you supposed to eat there? Well, everyone should decide for themselves.

It was a good experience as I work in food delivery to customers. I didn't try the food there but the service is very good. The customer's order came without delay and the atmosphere is wonderful. I recommend a visit.

Great pizza at moderate prices. Very crowded and loud on weekends. Waiting time possible when making a reservation. Very friendly and helpful service staff.

Nice atmosphere and very tasty noodles! The plus point is that I was able to swap the type of pasta in the dish 😉

We were supposed to pre-order food to eat there. We were then turned away and told to take the food with us, even though the restaurant was still open for another 30 minutes. Zero stars for the unfriendly manager and the unfriendly waiters. But Max made up for it with his friendliness.

The Losteria is definitely worth recommending, but I find the noise level in the restaurant very loud and distracting. The tables are very close together, making me feel rather cramped. But if that doesn't bother you, the service is quick and prompt.

Everything is fine, just a little loud. A little bit of noise insulation would be good, then you can have a better conversation.

We placed a last-minute online order to eat in. When we arrived, we were told it wasn't available and we should take it with us. The waitress was very annoyed, even though we weren't even the last ones. The only one who was truly accommodating was Max (a top restaurateur)!

Always great service and food. I had gnocchi gamberetti which was absolutely fantastic!

The pizza is okay. Of course she is huge. So you can't complain about that. You definitely got full. The atmosphere is really cool. The service was quite nice. But the waitress didn't even look at us once. But only in her little computer. That's somehow not an experience. The drink prices are really high. In combination with the lunch offer it was okay. There's nothing to complain about. The people at the counter and in the kitchen are really nice. Overall it was a good lunch.

After a long wait, and I understand why it was almost full, we were seated... the service was confusing, a burrata arrived at the table without yet having anything to drink... we were waiting for the pizza we had ordered for more than 40 minutes before, and then I noticed that people arrived after us, who were immediately seated, and that after a short time they already had something to eat! I didn't feel as much discomfort in waiting as I did seeing that some people who arrived a long time after us had everything served, in the right amount of time waiting as it should be! I had to ask for the bill in advance before the pizza arrived at my table, to avoid wasting any more time since we had been forgotten! Bad experience!

Unfortunately a dinner to forget. Chaos throughout the restaurant. Some of the staff were overwhelmed by the situation. Food arrived before the drinks. There was a wait of over an hour for a pizza while everyone else at the table was already finished. Unfortunately, the quality of the pizza is also average, the toppings are very sparing...

Food was good, but half of my pizza was very salty. And the Lillet Wildbeery tasted very, very thin. Luckily it wasn't too loud in the restaurant. PS: please pay more attention to the toilets for cleanliness

The bruschetta didn't taste like anything, the food was way too expensive considering it was a franchise and the chef wasn't Italian Not recommended

I like going to the Osteria but here I had to deduct stars for the terrible toilet. You also have to take care of things here, which means cleaning every now and then. Food great as always.

Doesn't matter which one you got to, L'Osteria is always going to satisfy. Consistently excellent pizzas of enormous proportions.

Food and service top! It was a bit cramped and relatively loud. And important for anyone driving… there is practically no parking!

Busy Italian restaurant with a varied menu. There was a mistake with our reservation; after some discussion, we were given a noisy table right beside the open air kitchen for an hour. Our waitress was very polite and the pizza was good.

We reserved a table 24 hours in advance, but we were seated at a metal table where you couldn't sit properly because you couldn't even get under the table and other strangers were also seated at the table. After we complained several times, they took care of it and in the end we were able to eat normally.

We, who open up in Italy several times a year, have We actually almost felt like we were in Italy at L'Osteria am Gasteig in Munich... The picture reflects Italian hospitality, the cosiness, the desire to linger, so to speak Bella Italia in the northernmost city in Italy Munich – Until we sat down… It wasn't as if we had reserved for six people and the L'Osteria staff had no idea that the pizzas that came out of their ovens were a little bigger than the Dr. Oetker pizzas... Ours too The direct indication that the two tables were not enough for six pizzas was dismissed by both the waitress and the restaurant manager, in the words of Peter Thorwarth: "If it doesn't fit, it will be made to fit."... Ok, as that When the pizzas arrived, the staff also noticed that the table was quite cramped and brought us the side table that is familiar from star-rated restaurants... Since we weren't in the star-rated restaurant, this side table consisted of a bar stool that was used as a shelf right next to mine 145cm tall son was placed so that he could reach the salt, pepper and oil directly at chin height and he had the patina of 20 years of Bavarian flatulence right under his nose... Dear Italian friends, NO, your Osteria in Italy is not at all like this pizza chain! The pizza in L'Osteria is tasty, but yesterday the atmosphere was worse than in a German office canteen. And since as a customer you are king, there was at least a suitable throne with more freedom of movement available in the basement. Oh yes, apparently the staff also noticed that even the drinks were so installed on the table that they didn't even ask for a refill or something similar and they discreetly ignored you, which was already the case at a table right in the hallway Art is... This criticism, which we addressed directly in the evening, was also not addressed. So on our next visit (should there be another) we will take a camping table with us just to be on the safe side… P.S.: This post contains some sarcastic elements, but they only serve to describe the overall situation a little better, what happened to us.

It's been 3 days since my bad experience and despite contacting them multiple times, I haven't received any response. First of all: I have been a big friend of L'Osteria in general and have been very impressed by your professionalism. On Thursday I ordered 5 pizzas to be delivered for us and our Christmas visit. This was confirmed by email with the note that the pizzas would arrive in about 45 minutes (with the address provided). Since nothing arrived after 1 hour, I called the restaurant. Answer: we don't have a delivery service (!), we can't deliver. No excuse, no solution. Although the amount was refunded, the evening was still over. To this day I'm waiting for an apology. I am very surprised how an otherwise professional organization can confirm a delivery that does not exist. And even if one admits that mistakes happen, the reaction of the company is a second sign of the highest level of unprofessionalism. Maybe it's the Gasteig house, because I've only had good experiences in other houses.

Great food on the pizza unfortunately too much oil

Beautiful good day, I ate there yesterday and I wasn't that impressed. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food and then it wasn't what we wanted. We had ordered half and half pizzas and said they should cut it in half and also into pieces. None of these were done. Then a waitress put her hand in the drink and no new one was brought. They were actually very nice, but that's really disgraceful. But it's definitely a nice restaurant. LG

Went there for dinner before the concert in the Gasteig without much expectation. Quite a long wait in the queue "to be seated", that could be better organized. But the pizzas and salads we had were just very, very tasty, full marks! This certainly won't be my favorite Italian restaurant - it seems too much like the American cliché of an Italian restaurant - but if it's suitable for other reasons, we'll happily come back.

Dear L'osteria, I have been a guest in all of your Osterias. Over the years I have noticed an increasing "deterioration" which is also evident here: everything is a bit dingy and worn out and the toilets are absolutely disgusting - embarrassing. Broken wretches are flying around, the water doesn't work. However, the service was extremely good and friendly! Put a little more love into your “shack”. All the best! Laura

Our waitress was kind and very patient with us. The food was very very good, especially if you’re staying at the jams music hotel it’s very close. Definitely would have to recommend the bruschetta, it was one of the best I’ve ever had. If you’re in Munich you need to check this place out for sure!!
