The food is very good, both the breakfast and the pizzas. The service has always been very friendly and professional. My only complaint is that the prices are sometimes a bit unreasonable. Three small pancakes with a little Nutella and two Duplo bars for €17 is quite steep, and that can't be justified by particularly good ingredients. Overall, I recommend it if the prices aren't a problem for you.

Very nice decor, soft Italian music. Good coffee. Very friendly service. The blonde young woman with glasses (Alina) was particularly nice. The Italian waiter (Carlo) and the manager (Niko) were also very nice.

Very high prices (e.g. 9€ for a juice), maybe justified by its location. Especially nice atmosphere and tasty food, though. Not sure if my homemade bread was supposed to be that dry.

Cute pizzeria by the Backspielhaus (a bakery). Very tastefully decorated. A lovely ambiance, even outside (located on the street). The pizzas are truly crispy, generously topped (the dough is made from spelt), and truly delicious. Very friendly and attentive service. However, reservations are recommended outside of holiday season.

Unfortunately, I'm always disappointed by the service. The food is really delicious—not quite as good as it used to be, but still good. The service, however, is always a disappointment: arrogant, no eye contact, making it hard to order. My impression: If you don't enjoy service, maybe you should do something else.

Terrible and very overpriced food. The service was terrible, and the coffee tasted exactly like it came from my Nespresso capsule. For a breakfast bread that costs €19, what about asking for avocado instead of meat? A NO GO. The atmosphere is quite nice, but the rest isn't recommended.

Strolling along the Isar and feeling tired, hungry, and thirsty? Then a pit stop here is the right choice! For refreshments, there are good pizza and pasta dishes, such as Pizza Capricciosa and Tagliatelle Bolognese. Of course, the best place to eat is outside on the beautiful terrace, but the interior is also attractively designed and surprisingly spacious. It's also nice to be able to watch the pizza makers at work. The service is prompt and friendly. You'll feel extremely well looked after here. Quite a few people come here to hang out, meet friends, or, like us, stay with the whole family. The Isar walk mentioned above is certainly not the only reason to stop here. But a famous person often strolled in this area. Thomas Mann's villa stood not far from here. He used to stroll here in the Herzogpark with his dog. It's quite conceivable that he would have taken a break in the Backspielhaus...

A nice place to eat. Unfortunately, the service has declined since the change in management, and some of the good staff have moved on to other branches. The food is still top-notch, and the sidewalk sales are good. The staff try hard, but it used to have a casual atmosphere and an Italian flair.

Delicious breakfast and good coffee I went there for breakfast, and it was truly delicious. The portions are generous and the food is really filling. I especially enjoyed the coffee – it has a very aromatic flavor. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was friendly. I'll definitely be back!

Sometimes less is more; the pizza was very overloaded. With all the toppings, you could barely notice the crust, which was super thin and crispy. The bowl was beautifully presented, but had a rather mild flavor. The bread was good. For almost €50 for two people with two soft drinks, there's still room for improvement. La Farina is really nicely decorated, and the service was decent.

Good day, I had a chance to visit venue on 28th December with my friends (4 persons). We made a very nice from the center to the reconstructed Thomas Mann villa, and after along the river and English Place we get to the restaurant. It is just around the corner of Lehal district, that is definitely recommended to see, when you are a tourist. We had a lunch in restaurant at around 14.00 and had no problem to get a tabel for 4 persons. We ordered: Green Bowl Love, Pizza tono, Penne Arabiata and Oriental Bowl. There was not at that day a melon available, so first order of my friend as for salad was not possible to be delivered. Pizza is prepared in "wood oven", what obviously makes it being extra. My tuna pizza was definitely a "solid" meal and even as pizza lover I could not have more than just one. Tuna and cheese was ok. The drought was a bit "gummy" in the middle, but "rounds" were great with last of "wood". In case you are not very hungry, I would recommend one pizza for two. Green Bowl is strongly recommended- a very good piece of "healthy super food". As for the Penne- it was a bit too soft. Sauce was fair. To salads and penne we get home made "bread sticks" - defiantly game changer. All in, I would rate the food for "strong" 4 stars. The service was very good and the waiter was very helpful. The fit out of the place and cleanliness (incl toilets)- above "city" average. What is definitely to be highly priced is an atmosphere- I strongly recommend to either have a lunch there at sunny afternoon and have a walk in the part after or to have a dinner with family and friends, when there is already dark outside and you would feel very "warm and cosy" inside. We paid for 4 meals + beer + 2 glasses of wine and water around 100-110 EUR. Definitely recommended. Lukasz

Ambience quite good. Service was very attentive, but please don't talk about my salad 🥴 the pizza is much better elsewhere. However, if you like unusual combinations and maybe something sweet on your pizza, you'll be well served here. The dough of the pizza was also very soft, maybe good for children.

We were there for dinner on a Friday lunchtime. The waiter was with us quickly and brought the orders quickly. We had pizza. My pizza (Ocean Vibes) was quite exotic in composition, but harmonious, but at €22 it was quite expensive there. For dessert I had a tiramisu, which was very tasty - but at €9 it wasn't a bargain. Even though we ate outside and the streets aren't far, it wasn't loud or unpleasant. The service was good and friendly (also at the other tables). But in terms of price it was too expensive for me: €36.20 for a drink, a pizza and dessert are definitely too much for me!

A rather nice location, although the street can be loud at times. We had coffee and cake. The hot chocolate was made with water and was not good at all. The cheesecake was floury and simply unpalatable.

Unfriendly and uncollegial staff! I really feel sorry for the boss's employees, and it's an /outrageous/ cheek to charge €7.50 for a cold, small slice of pizza. These pizza slices look like they were left over by customers... Enjoy your meal :) The quality of the ingredients used is poor. Cheapest goods.

We were here for lunch at the weekend. It was very busy at this time, so you may occasionally have to wait for a seat outside. The service was very attentive and friendly. The pizza was also very tasty and large. However, there are even better pizzas in Munich. The prices were okay.

We were here for the first time. We ordered, among other things, fried asparagus. Overall, the food was not particularly good and not very lovingly prepared. The hollandaise sauce was way too much for a light dish. We could have done better ourselves. Overall, the price/performance ratio is not right. The service was friendly, but couldn't hide the mediocre cuisine. The bottom line is that we were not satisfied. Won't be coming back any time soon.

Very aloof service, we weren't served, we couldn't even order our drinks. Even though it wasn't busy, BOTH waiters walked past us 5 times without taking an order. The slightly older gentleman was busy having private conversations with the guests the whole time. Wannabe Schicki Micki store, we probably didn't look wealthy enough. Also extremely high prices.

Great selection of pizzas and bowls. Food was delicious with a decent meal size as well. The terrace is great for summer days while dining inside is suitable for all seasons. Reservations are not mandatory but highly recommended, as it is a popular restaurant. Only has one bathroom stall, though.

Waiters spend half an hour chatting with all the other guests but intentionally ignore us, then attack you in an unfriendly and disrespectful manner, food and drinks are overpriced for the store anyway, we can't recommend it!

The food is really tasty and sufficient, the prices are above average. I attribute it to the good preparation but also the wealthy customers. (Pizza Margherita starts at 12/13€, homemade lemonade 8.50€, octopus salad 23€..) Service was quick and friendly. I could imagine that a reservation is necessary in the evening, definitely if you want to sit outside.

We just wanted to go out for a quick meal but were not served at all, even after we spoke to the waitress, very aloof.

We have been eating at La Farina for years. We usually order the sun-kissed pizza there. The base is wafer-thin and crispy. You can immediately tell that the pizza comes from a stone oven and that the dough has rested for a few hours. I have never been disappointed in all these years. Our children are always happy to watch the pizza makers. Despite the often stressful process, the pizza makers are happy about the children. You really don't see that often. Personally, I can wholeheartedly recommend La Farina.

We have eaten here frequently in the past. We won't do that again in the future. The prices for pizzas have risen significantly in some cases. A Capricciosa from €14 to €19. An Aperol Spritz from €9.50 to €12. Even a light beer was increased by 6%, which is topped by non-alcoholic beer. Here we noticed an increase of around 20%.

We came across here by chance, but we will definitely come again. We are delighted with the service, food and ambience. Everything perfect!! All praise for the dinkelmehl pizzas are a hit! Also, cappuccino with Hafermilch tastes great. Homemade lemonade is also perfection! See you again soon :)

There are better deep frozen pizzas that you can get in the supermarket.

Very expensive prices, using pizza as an example you pay €6.50 for 1/4, where you can get a whole pizza at Italians or other larger restaurants for around €10. When I was there there were no prices to be seen and I had to ask I personally don't like how much it costs because you might not want to ask how much something costs every time. Service was very unfriendly and I had to wait a lot because the staff was chatting. I think that you can get good service at these prices, even if you want to take something with you. The pizza was cold and the dough tasted like rubber, I wouldn't recommend it!!!!

The large cappuccino is listed on the menu (as of June 9, 2024) as €5.50, but on our invoice it is listed as €5.90 (see invoice). Unfortunately, when I asked, the only answer I got was that he wasn't responsible for setting the prices correctly in the cash register system and therefore couldn't do anything about it, but he would let his colleagues know. In addition, I initially forgot to give back €10 when making change, which I then received without apology. Overall, unfortunately, a very bad experience. Breakfast was ok.

I ordered a pizza to take away. The ingredients were of poor quality, the spinach was not cooked and the gorgonzola cheese had no flavor. The pizza was bad and didn't taste good. After eating I felt sick and immediately had diarrhea. The Bachspielhaus is definitely not recommended.

Very cool spot for brunch / breakfast. Plenty of options on the menu and pleasant service.

I recommend going here for coffee and cake. They even have a little window where you can order on the street, so you don't have to go in. Grab a coffee and go for a lovely walk along the Isar! The other food is highly over priced in my opinion.

Excellent spelt crust pizzas in a cosy setting. Outdoor terrace is great on warmer days tho service is understandably slightly less regular. Staff are friendly & thoughtful. Highly recommended Orient Bowl for a healthy fulfilling non-pizza or pasta option

Everything lovingly fresh and appetizing.

Pizzas taste great! On the other hand, we sat at the terrace and felt completely ignored by the waiter. Plates weren’t cleaned up until we asked for the bill (around 20 minutes after finished eating), even though two of them kept passing by the entire time. Instead cleaned empty tables even when there was nobody waiting to be seated. Maybe the experience would have been different with a different waiter. The place was recommended by friends but unfortunately did not live up to the expectations.

So far we only knew the Backspielhaus on the Riemer Autobahn. Service, friendliness and quality are very important here on Mauerkirchnerstrasse. Kudos to the team. We are thrilled and would love to come back. Peter and Silke

We waited for a seat outside, were completely ignored and then stupidly approached from the side by a slightly older, slim man with short hair, who in the meantime had brought other new guests to a table. When we asked what was happening to us, he was extremely unfriendly and rude. Very, very disrespectful and rude staff and behavior towards guests. We then left and won't be coming back. Absolutely no recommendation!

Unreservedly recommended. What's a bit strange is that in order to see and choose your cake you have to leave the restaurant and choose from the street stall. Perfect service. Whether coffee or cake, everything is at a good level.

Food is ok, service is repeatedly bad and unfriendly. It is sometimes so loud in the restaurant that it is impossible to have a conversation at the same table. We've been there many times in the past, but we won't be coming back.

Jetzt habt ihr es überzogen. 5 Euro für 0,4 l Bier. Und 15 Euro für ein größeres Stück Pizza zum Mitnehmen. Genug ist genug. Bei uns wächst das Geld nicht auf den Bäumen. Wir kommen nicht mehr und rufen andere Gäste auf, mal drei Monate das Backspielhaus zu meiden.

A complete failure in every respect. The food is unimaginative and tasteless. Service is so-so. Ambience is uncomfortable and loud. And what bothers me most is the VERY poor hygiene!! This is truly my personal nightmare of a brunch.

Die eine Bedienung mit Hang zu Botox ist wirklich unfassbar. 1. Sie serviert das falsche Essen 2. Sie pocht darauf, dass sie recht hat, während alle 4 Gäste ihr erzählen, dass sie falsch liegt 3. Natürlich gibt es dann kein Trinkgeld aber das nutzt sie, um 3x den Betrag zu nennen, in der Erwartung, dass man ihr Trinkgeld gibt frech NACHTRAG: Ich möchte hier einmal hinzufügen, dass das Unternehmen versucht hat meine Bewertung bei Google löschen zu lassen, weil sie "Zweifel an der Echtheit der Bewertung" haben. Das ist für mich ein Zeichen dafür, dass hier strategisch versucht wird, schlchte Bewertungen zu entfernen.

Everything is fine, but not a bargain!

Pessima pizza, con ingredienti estratti dal congelatore e posti direttamente sul panetto in forno. A parte che non capisco come si possa far uscire un prodotto così (ma chi avete chiamato a fare le pizze?) a fare così con, per esempio le verdure, o comunque qualsiasi ingrediente che vada cotto, c’è il concreto rischio di intossicazione alimentare. Non consigliato.

Nachdem meine Freundin eine Pizza mit Schinken und Ricola zum mitnehmen geholt hat, hat sie eine Lebensmittelvergiftung bekommen und musste sich einen ganzen Tag lang übergeben. Nie wieder 😀

Sehr gute Sizilianische Pizza, (hauch)dünn, schnell gebacken, gute Zutaten. Insgesamt berechtigt kleine Karte. Guter Italiener - wobei ich nur die hervorragende Pizza jetzt diverse Male hatte. Immer schnell und freundlich serviert. Für Münchner Verhältnisse erscheinen mir die Pizzapreise durchaus günstig - in Anbetracht der hohen Qualität.

Service schnell und freundlich. Pizzen und Bowl in guter Qualität. Der Pizzateig ( ich hatte die vitello tonnato) war etwas trocken. Für mein Empfinden nicht ganz günstig ( vor allem die Getränke) aber alles in allem hatten wir einen schönen Abend. Ambiente ist sehr cool, bisschen "crazy" und bunt.

It is always nice to see when a place servers pizza that it has a real brick oven, this is just one of the many key things about this place. It can be a bit pricey, however it is trying to capitalize on its location and neighborhood that brings in its clientele. I've had to completely rewrite this as I have been an avid visitor here for years with a clear change in attitude and quality makes me love this place.
