Guido Al Duomo in München

Leider große Enttäuschung, Preis/Leistung selbst für Münchner Verhältnisse ungenügend. Es gab keine Speisekarte, daher von der Tafel bestellt : „ganze“ Seezunge zu 68 Euro und Gamberoni als Hauptgang. Tatsächlich war die ganze Seezunge wohl nicht mehr verfügbar, tatsächlich kamen 4 Fischstücke, leider trocken und totgegrillt. Die drei mittelgroßen Gamberoni in Vorspeisengrösse nicht durchgegart und innen kalt, Beilage ein kleines Näpfchen Gemüse. Das war gar nichts und für den Preis absolut inakzeptabel, zumal der Fisch wohl konserviert war und nicht frisch, fühlbar für meinen Partner als Allergiker am nächsten Tag. Service gehetzt und sichtlich überfordert, Touristen werden abgearbeitet, Stammpublikum Handschlag und Sonderbehandlung. So geht das gar nicht und für uns das letzte Mal.

Früher war ich hier sehr gerne: Entspanntes Lokal, freundlicher Service, hohe Qualität der Speisen. Nach den letzten Besuchen gebe ich keine Empfehlung mehr: Hektische Atmosphäre, unaufmerksamer bis ruppiger Service, eher mäßige Qualität zu Höchstpreisen. Sehr schade.

Increíble noche de fiesta, tantos lugareños que charlaron con nosotros sobre lo genial que era este restaurante. El personal era encantador y tentativo y cuando no entendíamos el menú como estaba en alemán parecía saber y nos compró sobre una pizarra de tiza con un menú en inglés. Muy mal servicio desde mi punto de vista. El lugar está situado cerca de la catedral, y ese es su único punto de venta. El personal de servicio no trata de hacer su estancia agradable. Tampoco muy educado. Tienes prisa, no puedes quedarte mucho tiempo. La comida tarda mucho en llegar y en mi opinión es al menos media.

What was that then? Because of the location, I first thought it was a tourist restaurant, but that turned out to be a mistake. Locals, tourists, great wine list, competent service, really nice boss and, last but not least, great dishes. Everything was perfect here.

Unfortunately very disappointed. Nice terrace, but that was it. The service was friendly, sometimes very tiring The pasta wasn't bad, but nothing special either. The wines are absolutely overpriced. Price performance absolutely doesn't fit here!

A Perfect Italian Experience! We arrived at the restaurant after several attempts to get in, as it was fully booked – a good sign right from the start. Fortunately, we finally managed to get a table, and it quickly became clear why it’s so popular. The menu is presented in a fun and unique way, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. We started with fresh and delicious bread, followed by an excellent Caprese salad. For the mains, we ordered Bolognese pasta and Arrabbiata pasta – generous portions, flavorful, and true to their Italian roots. the restaurant is pet-friendly, and we noticed a few small dogs around. The food was so satisfying that we didn’t have room for dessert – but that’s definitely a reason to come back! Highly recommended for Italian food lovers.

Unfortunately I can't agree, the staff is absolutely unfriendly, annoyed and overwhelmed. The food was delicious, but the portions were overpriced, extremely small... the bill didn't allow for sharing, rude tone, jackets, chaos...

Finally back in Munich and nothing has changed here, it simply remains my favorite restaurant even after 10 years of abstinence 🤩

Alles war Top, angefangen von der Reservierung per Mail, über den Empfang im Restaurant bis zur Bedienung. Wir wählten zum Apero Champagner und als wir am Tisch waren wollte ich die Weinkarte sehen. Und was soll ich sagen. Grandiose Weinauswahl und sehr gutes P/L Verhältnis. Wir wählten Flusskrebse mit Advocado und Vitello Tonnato, anschließend Ravioli mit Entenleber und Trüffel, einfach toll gemacht. Als Hauptspeise eine Loup de mer mit Spinat und Gemüse. Ich habe selten einen so perfekt gegarten Fisch serviert bekommen. Richtig heiss und dennoch super saftig unglaublich. Zum Dessert wählten wir Crème brûlée und je eine Kugel Vanille und Tonkabohneneis. Alles zusammen perfekt. Weinempfehlung durch den Chef persönlich war der ideale Begleiter zu den gewählten Gerichten. Den super Abschluss bescherte uns ein genialer Espresso.

The service sind sehr gut. Die Entenleber ist außen knusprig und innen zart. Der Kellner ist sehr begeistert. Ich war sehr glücklich, während der Flitterwochen zu essen. Es lohnt sich, es zu empfehlen! (The food and service are both great ~ the duck liver is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and super delicious. The waiter is very enthusiastic. I had a great time eating during my honeymoon trip. It is worth recommending!)

The food is average at best and the price is completely exorbitant. Spaghetti seafood for >30€ and then mini mussels as the main ingredient and plate filler is not possible. Overall the meal was bland and really not an experience. Glass of wine 0.2 for €19 cannot be justified, even given the great location. The service is sometimes very courteous, sometimes cheeky and cheeky, it all depends on the waiter. Except for the location, really no recommendation. Waiting 10 minutes for payment even though the card machine has already been brought is not possible either.

Wir gehen hier sehr gerne und oft essen. Privat und geschäftlich, und wir sind noch nie enttäuscht worden. Das Essen ist hervorragend, die Weine auch. Der Service ist sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Das Klientel ist angenehm, zum Glück wenig Pauschaltouristen die Schnitzel mit Pommes für 9,90 zu teuer finden :-) Wir waren oft hier und werden weiterhin oft hier sein. Eines der wenigen angenehmen und auch lustigen Restaurants in München

Vi algunas críticas que fueron tibias en el mejor de los casos, pero eso es lo opuesto a nuestra experiencia. El restaurante estaba lleno! El propietario nos trajo y nos dio agua con gas y bocados de brownie en el bar mientras nos ventilamos para una mesa. Cada uno tenía una ensalada y pasta que era tan bienvenido después de un número de días de comida más pesada. La comida, el vino, el servicio, el propietario / anfitrión eran todos maravillosos!

Keine Speisekarte und Getränkekarte. Leider konnten wir keine Preise einsehen außer auf einer Tafel. Die Bedienung war arrogant und unfreundlich. Das Essen war gut aber zu teuer. Mit 130 € für Fisch ein wenig grünen Spargel und Kartoffeln zwei Gläser Wein u. eine Flasche Wasser . Hier haben wir keine Verhältnismäßigkeit zu Preis und Leistung. Das Lokal kann ich nicht empfehlen.

Very tasty restaurant with a small menu. You definitely have to make a reservation here. The Spaghetti Vongole in particular is highly recommended. Price hole a bit expensive, but right in Munich. For 2 people you can easily leave €100 behind. But still highly recommended.

Guido is an institution in Munich. You feel comfortable and meet one or two celebrities. Great food, great wines but make sure you make a reservation.

Excellent food, everything from the olive oil at the start to the vitello tonnato to the pasta with truffles and the coffee afterwards simply perfetto. Quiet, romantic location right next to the cathedral. Very courteous service. High prices, but worth it!

We had two glasses of Radler, one bottle of sparkling water, two plates of spaghetti Bolognese, guess what? We are charged for 80€, wow, what a scary price! (Even in Munich) By the way, the waiter only likes to serve those guests who speak English, if you speak bad German like me, better not to torture yourself. :)

We ate asparagus and bolognese pasta. They were not bad but too pricey for an avarage taste. Food was not served at the right temperature, which was annoying. the brownie did not meet our expectations., neither.

Un servicio excepcionalmente malo. No esperaba que dada la ubicación cerca del centro de la ciudad. Cenamos a las 5 de la tarde, mucho antes de la cena.

It's hard to experience worse service. It was our first time here and the staff was as unfriendly as we have ever experienced. Without feeling any need to create a good time and experience for the guest and ultimately at least to show respect, they were rather cheeky and disrespectful. With relatively high prices for a rather average restaurant, such behavior and poor service cannot be tolerated. We just wanted to get out as quickly as possible and it's a shame that we couldn't fully enjoy even a delicious meal. In summary: walk around in a wide circle.

I'm waiting more than 1 hour for a pasta!!!!!!! Then I ask where is my pasta? And get an answer: Your order hasn't arrived in the kitchen and you have to wait another 20 minutes Super! Thanks!

Beautiful location to sit outside for a drink and the food was delicious. Our waiter was strangely rude, as if it was a joke, we thought we might be on a hidden camera show!

Wow! Estoy bastante mimado, pero este lugar me dejó boquiabierto. La comida (espaguetis, chuletas de cordero) estaba perfectamente cocinada. Las selecciones de vino fueron inspiradas y el servicio fue excelente. Cómodos asientos al aire libre era divertido para la gente que mira también. En definitiva, uno de los mejores restaurantes a los que he ido en un año solo superado por Grill Royale en Berlín.

Food is well over priced and very substandard. The portions are small and the food lacks flavour. The menu is very limited and clearly not run by Italians.

A lunch right at the cathedral. The spaghetti bolognese was good, the pasta was al dente and the bread with olive oil and aciete balsamic was a good start. The water was also relatively expensive for the location at €4.90 for 0.25 l. The service was quick and attentive.

Customer service is not good. Even though there are a lot of employees, guidance to seats is slow. I don't know if he's pretending not to know or if he just doesn't want to work. Even when guests arrive, the guidance is delayed, so I have seen some customers just show off and leave. Food is not recommended for the price. The octopus in the octopus salad was too hard, and the seafood pasta had plenty of ingredients but didn't taste great. I visited because the picture looked good, but the taste wasn't quite up to par.

It is a fine dining Italian ! If you like healthy but tasty meals and your taste buds are not ruined by junk food, you will love it !

This Italian restaurant is a great find in Munich. Very fair prices for this expensive city. My friends and I enjoyed excellent and friendly service and loved the various pastas and seafood. I recommend sitting outside if possible.

Absolutely gorgeus! Me and my sister are on a two-day trip in Munich, it's our first time in the city and we ended up eating at this amazing restaurant! Our waiter was very good at his job, at the same time he was incredibly nice and had a nice aura throughout our visit. Their wine was very good. We ordered their spaghetti bolognese and Napoli, they were both excellent. Finally, we were served a taste of their brownie. Hand on heart some of the best I've tasted! Will 100% return here in the future!

The fish soup and the truffle pasta are highly recommended. The team is attentive and friendly. The location is excellent. I will definitely go there again.

A very bad experience. Usually I only write when I have positive things to say, but now I can't help but say that it's a total scam! My salad: a joke! 4 faded salad leaves and a slice of avocado cut in 2. The waiter was absolutely unfriendly. The service generally deplorable. And of course everything very expensive. In short, we absolutely do not recommend!!!!

I recently visited this restaurant and had a very disappointing experience. They cheated by adding VAT twice to my bill, totaling an extra €42. Additionally, they automatically included a tip, assuming I couldn't read German. When I confronted them about the tip, they returned it, but it was clear they were aware of their dishonest practices. Later, back at my hotel, I realized they had still charged me VAT twice. This place is a tourist trap. Be extremely cautious and triple-check your bill. Shame on you for exploiting customers! Shame on you!

What a culinary and friendly experience! The food (fish soup - absolutely recommended!!, veal fillet with taglieroni and truffles) was excellent, the atmosphere was beautiful, the wine was excellent and the warm and authentic service was a real pleasure. The prices are high, but worth every euro. We will be back definitely! ❤️

This Italian restaurant serves really nice meals and wine. I went on Saturday lunchtime and it was fully booked. We ordered seafood pasta and octopus salad. Both were really good and fully matched with Riesling house wine. I strongly recommend this restaurant downtown München.

The location is of course great right next to the cathedral, the service, including the sommelier, are great. What disappointed me a little was the food. The beef tartare was relatively tasteless, not noticeably seasoned, and the quail egg was cooked instead of raw, which I thought was a shame. Above all, I was disappointed by the duck liver tortellini. The tortellini filling was good, but unfortunately it was more of a tortellini soup, far too liquid and too much.

Walking around, you immediately notice the difference in style. Elegant spaced external tables. The interiors are very well kept. Clean. The menu offers the most popular dishes of the Italian culinary tradition. Fundamental food design layouts. Excellent service. Young, kind and friendly staff. Good value for money. 🔝

Excellent food and service. We enjoyed our lunch very much. The food was fresh and made with high quality ingredients and Absolute Love. The staff is professional and polite. The owner was super nice, welcoming, generous, and accommodating. I definitely recommend this lovely restaurant. I loved the seating area outside, very charming and relaxing. I advise to sit outside when the weather is nice, so the sound of the glasses and plates at the bar would not bother you. It is a very popular restaurant. Absolutely Loved it. It was really good, no question about it, but you can get rid of your money very, very quickly here. With all my love, the prices are exaggerated, they're indecent. But if it's paid for, if people are scrambling to even queue up to get one of these expensive tables.

Hosting an important delegation, wanted a really great experience. And, this restaurant delivered. Welcoming us, accommodating a last minute request to change where we're sitting (outdoors instead of the booked indoors as rain had stopped) and offering us nice bread and oil. The actual food (appetizers and main dishes) all tasted exquisite. Amazing flavor, cooked just right and with delicious sides. The team was checking on us frequently, making sure that there is no requirement not attended to. Overall, an experience worth repeating next time time I'm in Munich.

Cozy, very tasty food, large servings sufficient for 2. Had pasta Napoli and pasta with gambas + mixed greens salad and greens with goat cheese. Could not finish it all. Did not have alcohol. Not outrageously expensive but more than reported in ratings. I recommend it with reservations.

Went there around 6:30 p.m. without a reservation and immediately got an outdoor table. The wind was a little too strong that even my parmesan blew off. Pasta al dente was perfect and both pastas tasted great. Nice and fast service

Now we tried to get a table here for the third time in a row and for the third time in a row there was nothing free for us, even though there were enough free tables available. Before it was a guess, but today it has been confirmed: this store selects people. Why did we get this impression: the waiter first says he's looking for a place for us, but then walks past the free tables, ONLY one of which was marked "reserved", straight to another gentleman (I assume it was the owner, or something similar), discusses it with him, we are briefly “inspected” and then he comes back and it is said that there are no more free tables. This is how selection is made in Munich. Thank you very much, we won't leave you a cent more.

This is one of the absolute best Italian meals I have ever tasted👍 As simple as spaghetti bolognese can seem, it is very highly recommended!😊👍
