The best duck wok I've ever had. They definitely knew how to cook the duck. Also great service

The location is great, right in downtown Munich. The interior is nice, and the ambiance is also OK. Service was friendly and quick. However, the food wasn't perfect. The salad portions were a bit small. The beef salad was way too salty. The curry could have been seasoned better.

Cash only..go figure why. The tax man should have a look. The service was not friendly. Rather indifferent. Also compared to other Vietnamese restaurants this one is needlessly expensive for what you get.

Highly recommended! The seating at Cyclo is exceptionally pleasant, and the food is delicious. We had a variety of dishes, from salad and duck to tofu curry, and everything was really good. The service is excellent. It's worth noting that they don't accept card payments.

The restaurant is so good that if I had the money, I would literally travel from Costa Rica to Munich to eat there twice and return happy. I went twice while traveling to Munich in December 2022.

Very unfriendly service. We ordered vegan spring rolls, which smelled and tasted strongly of fish. However, the waitress said the gray stripes in the rolls were vegetables and not fish. These rolls were inedible. The curry dish was okay, but the atmosphere wasn't particularly nice or inviting, which was probably due to the unfriendliness.

The restaurant is in a great location, of course, and in the summer it's great with its open windows, but the Vietnamese food seems to be geared toward the mostly very elderly clientele; it's lightly spiced and somewhat carelessly served. You can go there, but the city has much better Asian restaurants to offer.

We had reserved and as already mentioned here, it was not clear when making the reservation that there was no card payment. We (the two of us) had just enough money with us to pay for food and a drink each. It's a shame, because if only cash payment had been possible, we would certainly have chosen one or two drinks. So the owners had to forego additional sales. Only cash is completely incomprehensible these days, as well as after the contactless pandemic and in this rather higher-priced restaurant.

Cash only is an absurd policy here. It was inconvenient to have to pay for meals only in cash. The woman employee is very rude. The staff is also unfriendly.

Wir wurden zuvorkommend bedient, haben gut gegessen und werden bestimmt wieder kommen. Zum Unisex-WC wurde uns erklärt, dass dies leider die Behörden bestimmt hätten, aber eine bessere Trennung bereits in Auftrag gegeben wurde...

Waren heute zum Mittagsmenü mal wieder im Cyclo: Muss sagen kommen sehr gerne an diesen authentischen Ort mitten in der Maxvorstadt, schmackhafte, frische vietnamesische Küche, in schön eingerichtetem Restaurant. Hab heute Mangosalat gegessen mit frischem Ingwersaft, traumhaft: Auch zu empfehlen ist die Ente als Menü zu einem sehr akzeptablen Preis und auch die Meeresfrüchte sind immer ein Genuss. Das Restaurant ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit frischen Blumen (Lilien) dekoriert, angenehmer leiser Musik und freundlichem aufmerksamen Personal. Im Sommer kann man auch draussen sitzen und die Strassenbahn 27 hält direkt vor der Haustür, was will man mehr ?

Wir waren früher oft in diesem Restaurant, weil es sehr gemütlich ist und eine gute Lage hat. Das Essen ist in Ordnung, nichts besonderes. Da gibt es mittlerweile bessere Vietnamesen in München. Sehr schlecht ist das WC (gemischt Männer und Frauen, man kann nicht schließen, Pissoires hinter einem Vorhang, alles ist schwarz und wirkt unhygienisch). Richtig schockiert waren wir als die Rechnung kam und man nicht mit EC- oder Kreditkarte zahlen konnte. Es wurde uns angeboten, eine Echtzeitüberweisung auf ein ausländisches Konto zu machen. Das geht zu weit. Muss denn alles am deutschen Staat vorbeilaufen? Das ist sehr unseriös. Wir kommen nicht mehr hierher.

Cash only expectations are so last century. I was there with my hungry son who needed food quickly and I had no cash on me. There was no time to look for a cash machine. We had to leave and go to another restaurant nearby

The food is quite good, although not outstanding compared to other Vietnamese in the area. Portion was large. Unfortunately, the service was quite unfriendly and the guests seemed annoyed. You can also only pay with cash, which is not appropriate for downtown Munich.

Food was fine but it’s CASH only which for most people just isn’t convenient anymore. Had to leave the restaurant to find an ATM. Not ideal. Rude waitress pushed the bill on us before we asked for it. Wouldn’t hurry back.

Basically yes, good food. But when the waitress comes up to you and "asks" if she can present the bill, I don't think that's okay...

The food was good, but you can't pay by card. We had made a reservation and it wasn't clear online that the restaurant didn't accept card payments. We only found out in the restaurant. One of the group then had to find the nearest ATM at his bank, which was about a 10-minute walk away. Why aren't card payments accepted? Especially since the dishes aren't that cheap either? For me it's a big service shortcoming.

One of my favorite restaurants. Incredibly delicious Vietnamese cuisine. So far I've enjoyed everything I've tried. On top of that, everything is beautifully presented - as we all know, the eye eats with us 😋. Very nice team: funny, friendly, attentive and never intrusive. Tasteful ambience. Prices are more than ok for the dishes (and the city of Munich). Very good accessibility. Tram stops almost right in front of the door. Table reservation recommended. Only cash payment possible.

Wir kommen seid vielen Jahren immer zum Mittagessen einmal pro Woche, das Essen ist frisch, bekömmlich und gesund, Bedienung professionell aber zurückhaltend, was wir zusätzlich als sehr angenehm empfunden, hinzu kommt das angenehme Ambiente, ein erholsames Stück Asien mitten in München.

The three of us were there during our lunch break and were very satisfied with the lunch menu. M1, M12 and M14 were well seasoned, very good taste all around, fresh ingredients. Great value for money, very friendly and quick service. Gladly again!

By chance I went to this restaurant near the Alte Pinakothek and chose a dish from the lunch menu. Super! Crunchy fresh vegetables with tender chicken, spicy, rice and a light starter soup at a reasonable price. Friendly, quick service. The place was full, which speaks for swarm intelligence. Very uncooperative and rude service, unhelpful. We asked for water from the sink and he wanted to give us bottled water several times to charge us. He gave us a bad face when we asked to refill our glasses. You could tell he was eager to close because he pretty much kicked us out. Vine aquí con mi esposa sin expectativas. El anfitrión era amable, abierto y muy relajado. Los cócteles son increíbles, asegúrese de preguntar por sus vietnamitas locales - que hacen que valga la pena jugo real e ingredientes de calidad. La comida era aún mejor - probamos especial de temporada de teire - espinacas de agua con pato - pato crujiente perfectamente cocinado, gran salsa hoisin al lado. Solo efectivo. Muy recomendable!

Wow, the most delicious duck I have ever eaten in München, duck in tamarind sauce, it was so delicious that I ordered two portions! There is obviously a variety of dishes! It should be noted that the boy who serves is super friendly and attentive, he pays attention to everyone at the table to give the best recommendation, one of the girls brought a cake and they let us share it at the table without any problem and it is a very special act because In many places you cannot do this, thank you very much. For an Australian and noodle soup obsessive, these guys do fairly decent Vietnamese diaspora Hanoi pho and Saigon style noodle soup. If you are missing either, this will hit the spot.

Decent Vietnamese restaurant. Pho Bo was good, but they didn't bring any lime or lemon to add a hint of sourness to it, only spicy sauces. They don't accept cards, only cash. The staff are friendly and helpful and I didn't wait much for my order. Overall pleasant experience and the prices are reasonable.

The food and service was ok but not something that made me want to go there again. It's centrally located on Theresienstrasse, but that's the most striking plus point.

In dieses Restaurant wurden wir eingeladen, weil unsere Freundin es gerne hat, daher durften wir nicht kritisieren. Also: wir beide, in Asien weitgereist und gerne in München asiatisch essend (und kochend) sind so dermaßen enttäuscht, daß wir das wichtgste wie folgt schreiben möchten: zermanscht gekochtes (!) Gemüse OHNE Geschmack, OHNE die typischen Kräuter, die das Essen so besonders und gut verdaulich machen. Z.B. mit einer Hoisinsauce serviert, die entweder vom billigsten ist oder gestreckt wurde. Der Reis etwas pampig, das (gegrillte) Fleisch von minderer Qualität, nicht frisch zubereitet. Jeder von uns bestellte ein anders Gericht, aber alles sah ähnlich aus. Gut, es ist nicht super teuer, aber für das mindere Essen ist es letztlich doch zu teuer. Wir würden nie aus freien Stücken dort essen wollen. Drinks soweit ok. Wir wunderten uns über die vielen Gäste und die hervorragenden Bewertungen - alls Leute OHNE Geschmack und Kenntnis???

Great food with good prices. The waiter was so kind and positive! I recommend to go there when you are hungry and order number 62. Chicken with rice and a variety of vegetables.

We ate coconut soup and summer rolls as a starter, curry for the main course and a mango chia pudding at the end and were very satisfied. The service is very friendly and everything came to the table very quickly even though the restaurant was very busy! Cocktails are awesome! Definitely try it out!

We went to Cyclo after 11 hours of work standing, exausted... and we left full of energy and enthusiasm! We had a wonderful dinner, great cozy athmosphere, delicious and unique food, amazing cocktails, super kind and helpful waiter... we couldn't have asked for anything more, just a complete perfect experience! We are absolutely going back!!

The food seemed authentic to me and I thought it was delicious (I had dumplings and a soup). The ginger spritzer is also recommended. The waiter was really very friendly and accommodating. Overall, however, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the way the food was served. There were six of us and, although we asked what should be served as a starter or as a main course, the main courses arrived with a delay (first mine, then two more after two minutes, and the rest after about five minutes). Of course it's a shame when you see your food slowly getting colder in front of you because you're waiting. I found the atmosphere relatively comfortable, but there was always a draft when guests came in or left the restaurant. The women's toilet is quite small and the towels for drying were not refilled/trash can was overflowing. All in all really ok and tasty, for the prices I would have hoped for a little more in the places mentioned above.

Durch ein glücklichen Zufall entdeckt! von der Suppe bis zur Nachspeise hat an nichts gefehlt, super leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal , selten gute Vietnamesische Küche! Kommen gerne wieder.

Ich habe Nr. 35 gegessen und war sehr zufrieden. Bun Cha aber mit Cha gio (frittierte Frühlingsrollen) nicht mit gebratenem Schweinefleisch. Nächstes mal möchte ich Mi Xao Gion(Eiernudeln mit Meeresfrüchte) probieren. :) Ingwerschorle war eher Limettenschorle. Sonst war das Essen super lecker. Aber Achtung: keine Kartenzahlung !

독일맥주에 취해 해장할때 쌀국수찾는다면 여기입니다. 해장 후 알테피나코테 관광 가능! 느끼한 속까지 쌀국수 국물이 쏵~ 다만 고수빼달라했지만 국물자체에 느낌이 조금 있습니다. 볶음밥 불향이 아주 대단합니다. 볶음밥이 더 맛있었습니다. 양은 작은편이 아니고, 단점은 현금만 받습니다. 여행시에 현금이 어느정도는 있으니까요... 여기 추천입니다.

Only cash! The food was tasty however one screw of the chair was out and it ripped my jeans. As an apology, they gave me an extra drink. This is just an FYI when you sit on the chair be careful.

Ich liebe es! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und respektvoll. Das essen ist unschlagbar, seit dem wir da gegessen haben besuchen wir kein anderes Restaurant denn das Essen ist jeden Cent wert. Unglaublicher Geschmack, entspannte Atmosphäre, sehr höfliche und gepflegte Mitarbeiter, einfach nur traumhaft. Wir waren oft in Asien im Urlaub und es schmeckt eins zu eins wie im Urlaub, meiner Meinung nach kann kein Restaurant dem das Wasser reichen.

Nunca vi el nombre de Cyclo, pero es un restaurante vietnamita. Comí un arroz frito con pollo, bien crocante, muy bien hecho. Los precios son moderados y te dan un bombón con la cuenta, detalle. Solo aceptan efectivo.

Es gibt nicht viel zu erzählen, die Bewertung spricht für sich. Essen hervorragend, Ambiente sehr gelungen weil es nicht vor Kitsch strotzt und das Personal ist mega Aufmerksam und freundlich. Eine absolute Empfehlung. Reservierung ist aber Pflicht!
