Asia Restaurant Schillerstraße in München

While searching for an Asian restaurant near our hotel, we found this one. It's inconspicuous, tucked away in a side street. The food was absolutely delicious and the service very friendly. The space was small, but all the more quiet. I would eat there again anytime.

Who would have thought, Chinese food in Munich. It truly was some of the best Chinese food I've ever had.

A so called Asian restaurant to avoid. I wish there were a zero or minus star rating. They call it Thai Basil Pork. Unbelievable 🤦🏻‍♀️ They cooked Thai basil pork with a lot of lemongrass. How insulting it is!

Ich habe wan tan Suppe gegessen, weil die Chefin gemeint hat, selbst gemacht zu haben. Aber das schmeckte sauer und stinkig. Sie meinte sei sehr schade. Das schmeckt sauer weil es mit Schimps und Hähnchen und Zitrone thailändisch fein und sehr hochwertig gemacht sei. Ich habe ihr geglaubt und gegessen. aber in 2 Stunden habe Haut Ausschlag auf Gesicht bekommen, was ich nur von Unfrischem Lebensmittel bekomme und danach sogar Magen Schmerz. Also, ich I had to eat a lot of noodles and the food was delicious. I thought it was Taiwanese beef noodles, but the food was very Taiwanese. It said Taiwanese beef noodles, so I went in. But they weren't Taiwanese. The owner said maybe the owner was Taiwanese... (?). She said they made their wontons in-house. I had a bowl of wonton soup. The wontons tasted sour and smelly, and I said they looked like they were bad. The proprietress said it wasn't bad, but rather that the sourness was due to the fact that our Thai food is made by mashing shrimp, chicken, and lemon into a paste. It would be a shame not to eat it. I believed her and ate it with some skepticism. Two hours later, I developed a rash on my face, a sign of stale food. Then I had a stomachache. I was mad not just for eating something bad, but also for believing her. The proprietress even lied to me, saying the owner might be from Taiwan...that owner is a good businessman. She might be a Thai chef.

The serving lady was friendly. I've been here a few times and it's not bad, but the food has a unique smell.... The portions are really large. It's a lot for one woman to eat... If you like spicy food, the food from the place right next door is also good. Haha. The spring rolls, which are the main dish at this place, are really delicious!

The restaurant is not big, but has a nice atmosphere, outdoor seating (inside the restaurant), and about 30 seats inside and outside. The meals are delicious, for example, the beef noodles, Cantonese roast duck, etc. are very delicious, the meat is not tough, the seasoning is moderate, not too salty or too sweet, very close to the Taiwanese taste. The first time was when we happened to be nearby and wanted to eat noodle soup, so we used Google map to search for the noodle shop next to his house. However, when we arrived, we found that the other noodle shop had no customers, while this one at least had customers dining, so we decided to dine at this restaurant right away. The second time was really fate. The noodle shop I originally wanted to go to required a wait of about 30 minutes, but the weather was too cold, so I urgently looked for a nearby noodle shop. On the way to the second noodle shop, I happened to pass by this restaurant, so it was really not in my plan to dine at this restaurant again.

Pho bo was one of the best i've ever tried in germany. I got a bit teary from my first sip of soup. The terrace(biergarten) area gave me a lovely atmosphere to enjoy my food. Staffs were also friendly. There was nothing to complain about, I really enjoyed. I would definitely visit here again when i come to München. 한국인입니다. 존맛이에요. (제 개인적인 의견입니다만)

Very good food, great value for money but they take a long time to serve the food. We waited more than 20 minutes for two plates of noodles. They are friendly.

Food has tasted so bad for me for a long time. I couldn't eat it, so I left everything, paid, and left. The owners didn't want to show any goodwill either. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The simplest ambience with a workshop or street food feel. Typical, well-tolerated dishes, Chinese service at good prices. Gladly again.

Delicious and quick lunch for in between meals. It's not a restaurant where you can have a nice meal, as you can see the need for action in many places. Service was nice. We took the two vegetarian dishes from the lunch menu and ordered the spring rolls. It was a bit too greasy for us but tasty with individual doses of soy sauce.

The udon noodles are quite delicious, maybe because there are so many people dining there and the waiting time is quite long, but I am very happy to be able to eat oriental cuisine abroad.

My mother likes the roast duck here🥰

Really good black sugar boba with freshly made tapioca for only 6€. Tastes better than in the fancy boba shops and made by extremely friendly staff

2024.06.15 As someone with an Asian stomach, I must eat one Asian meal a day in Europe. I found an Asian restaurant near the hotel. As soon as we entered the store, the lady boss saw our Chinese faces and spoke Chinese to us directly🤣 ✐☡Beef Pho €12.9 After eating it, I felt alive👍This is a healing meal

The four of us actually wanted to eat there and stood in front of the restaurant waiting for friends. After five minutes the owner came out and asked us why we were standing in front of the sign in front of the restaurant with the words: “Why are you standing in front of my sign, what’s the point of that?!”. Of course we didn't do anything bad, we just stood there and talked; the big mistake was that we were standing next to the sign. I wonder why you have to attack people so aggressively. If she had asked us in a normal and friendly manner whether we could stand somewhere else, we would have done so immediately, it wouldn't have been stressful for us. She then rolled her eyes and shook her head as if we were completely stupid and stupid. Rarely experienced such unfriendly, stressed, frustrated and exaggerated behavior. Anyway, we'll go somewhere else. This is how you drive away customers.

I had a curry that unfortunately didn't taste good, I'm usually used to Thai curry and it has nothing to do with it, it's very salty. The portion was ok for the price, but unfortunately it wasn't for me

We ate there twice in the same week. Different types of Asian dishes (soup, starter, main course), from different regions (Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese). Everything very tasty (especially the tom kai soup). Excellent price-quality ratio. Highly recommended!

The chicken is not cooked well I couldn't eat it and payed for it. I asked for water but she brought a tab water insted of bottle when i asked if i can get a bottled one she said no i cannot change! Very bad experience. Not recommended

Hands down to probably the BEST chinese restaurant in Munich! The Cantonese Duck was perfectly baked with crispy skin and tender meat. The Red Curry Prawns were also very delicious :) I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a warm, comfortable atmosphere with great food!

This place is really delicious, better than expected. The fried rice, fried noodles, and rice noodles are all delicious, perfect for the taste of Koreans.

Authentic Asian food, huge portion & food is placed on a warmer so we can slowly enjoy it in the cold weather.

If you want to eat really tasty Asian food, then this is the place for you. The prices are more than reasonable. 10-15 euros per person, no more. Any dish is very tasty and prepared with soul. This is not the first time I've been there.

I wouldn’t recommend at least for vegetarians. I came here after an earlier review of fellow indian Akansha bhat but sadly I didn’t like it. There was too much oil and hygiene was bad. The washroom is so freaking dirty! I don’t recommend.

I had the vegetable fried rice and vegetable soup and both were delicious.

I was a bit hesitant to enter, but I'm glad I did, the food is AMAZING, I was not expecting it to taste so good. The portions are big too. 100% recommended 😍

The restaurant is on the lowest level of the Asian restaurants we visited. Ambience: The entrance looks like a fast food joint. The walls show clear signs of decay and the furniture is very worn. Exposed electrical engineering and dirt. We took a seat in the backyard. That was due to the weather. However, the visible architecture and texture of it drove sweat down the back of my neck. The food: We had chicken with vegetables and peanut sauce, as well as sweet and sour chicken. Compared to other restaurants, it was rather mediocre. The food was presented in the style of the 80's. The prices were standard. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

They sell a variety of Asian dishes and everything I tried was delicious. Sweet and sour sauce chicken. Nasi Goreng. rice noodles. I had jasmine tea The portions are large and filling. There was only one server, so I had to wait a while to order, serve, and pay, and it took 20-30 minutes for the food to arrive.

So delicious! It has a calming taste for Japanese people.

The place never disappoints me. I’ve been here multiple times now and everytime, I have absolutely loved the food here. It’s affordable and delicious and has a huge quantity. The range of options available is also very nice. Would definitely recommend visiting as it in located in the city centre.

I was looking for Korean food because I wanted to eat it, but it was far away, so I found it while passing by because it was close to my accommodation, and there was a lot of Asian food, so I visited. I had nasi goreng and rice noodles, and it was clean, plentiful, and delicious!

If you want to eat Asian food near the train station, this is the place for you. Simply kept by the ambience. A quiet little outdoor terrace. Food is delicious and prices are okay.

Foods are good. We ordered (1) sweet & sour pork & (2) kung pao chicken. (1) tasted alright but lack of the sweetness & sourness from plum sauce & pineapple; (2) does not come with dried chilli, black sauce & onion which forms the essence of kung pao. We ordered bubble tea classic, which taste great.

Great spot for Asian food, especially red curry with rice and duck. Highly recommend for their Thai and Chinese dishes.

It's not really easy to find such a pleasant, quiet restaurant in the area if you don't want Halal, there are a lot of them - I just wanted a beer after work :-). Beer garden/terrace available. In this respect, a hidden tip, inconspicuous on the outside, but delicious and very friendly, accommodating and a place to breathe deeply. Restrained interior, with quiet, instrumental Asian music, really great, thank you🙂

Spontan in München auf Googlemaps über das Restaurant gestolpert, ohne Reservierung gleich einen Platz erhalten. Das Restaurant war gut besucht, daher musste mit ein wenig Wartezeit gerechnet werden. Dennoch sind wir mit viel Ruhe und Geduld bedient worden. Das Essen war lecker, die Location authentisch und die Bedienung stets freundlich.

Good food family style. We were there for an early dinner and got treated special as the only patrons of the evening. Walking distance from our hotel. Less expensive than other nearby options. We shared 4 dishes for a family of 5 and all left satisfied.

El lugar vale mucho la pena, eso sí cuidado con las raciones porque son bastante grandes. Eramos dos personas, pedimos unos wan tan fritos (no valen la pena, van vacíos), un plato de pollo sate (cacahuete), pato chop suey y fideos goreng, además te sirven arroz blanco... fue demasiada comida para dos. Costó 60 € todo con tres cervezas, un poco caro para lo que estamos acostumbrados en España para esta comida, pero valió la pena.

The Pho soup was not really as the original recipe but it was ok. The other dishes not too bad but the waitress (or maybe she is also the owner) is too strongly and heavily insisting in asking tips whereas service is so so and not deserve tips. On the positive side it’s cheap and there is a terrace
