Restaurant Carolaschlösschen in Dresden

I highly recommend this restaurant. Remember to make a reservation, even during the week. A good balance between a place to stop after a stroll in the Great Garden and fine dining. The service is attentive and unobtrusive.

Very nice restaurant with a great ambience. The outdoor area in particular is a dream when the weather is good. The service staff are quick and extremely friendly. Delicious food with sometimes many components. It can happen from time to time that you don't quite like a component. However, that is a matter of taste. I'll be happy to try out the menu on future visits :) I recommend making a reservation in advance as the restaurant almost always seems full (understandably).

Everything is just right here! Food and ambience each 5 stars. Unfortunately, you could only give 5 stars for the service. Ms. Schulz would have earned a 10. Gladly again!.

Here you have high expectations of yourself, which unfortunately are not necessarily met by the kitchen or even by the service. The card sounds excellent, but can only partially fulfill what it promises. Soup was unseasoned, fish was well cooked and really dry; Sauce without taste. The homemade gnocchi and corn cakes were great. The service was particularly bad and when anyone came to the table, they were sometimes condescending and arrogant. Wine wasn't refilled at the table at all, the meal took forever and then the dessert didn't come at all. Good tables with a view of the lake were supposedly all reserved, but no one came to these 5-6 reserved tables, not even until 1.5 hours before the restaurant closed.

We had a wonderful little break with delicious drinks and nibbles and unfortunately couldn't stay longer than 1 hour due to other appointments. Such a beautiful ambience, such courteous service on the terrace, we felt completely at home and enjoyed the sun and can imagine how nice it must be to dine, drink, celebrate etc. in the Carolaschlösschen... Kind regards and we will be your guests again on our next visit to Dresden.

Very nice service and very tasty food

The menu and especially the prices suggest high standards, good cuisine and a well-kept ambience. The table was dirty, you were allowed to put your own cutlery together. Tablecloths should be a given given your own requirements, but there were no such things as seat cushions. There were two menus for 4 people. The wine advice is a joke; When asked which of the two wines in question would go better with the meal, the answer was: "Honestly? I always drink the wine that I like best"... that of course really helps the guest! The asparagus soup as a starter was flat in taste, even with seasoning. You had to refill the wine yourself, not once was this offered/taken over by the staff. It took almost 90 minutes for the main course to be served and we canceled the dessert after over 2.5 hours because they had simply forgotten it! The table wasn't cleared for a long time after both the starter and the main course, even though there were enough staff present (but often just stood around). The main course fish was completely dry and tough, like a dead halibut steak! Unfortunately, the fish died twice in vain. The lemon risotto as a side dish didn't taste like lemon at all, more like a medium-class rice pudding. All in all very bad and not recommended! As an apology after the complaint, a coffee on the house was offered. Unfortunately I don't drink coffee; Nothing else (tea/hot chocolate or similar) was offered.

The Carolaschlösschen is in a very idyllic location by the lake. With a bit of luck or a reservation in advance, you can get a table in the front row and enjoy the view throughout your entire stay. The range of drinks and food on offer is wide-ranging and seasonally adapted. Our grouper and corn-fed chicken, each with lemon risotto and asparagus, were super tasty! We were completely satisfied!

I usually just come over with my boys for a few beers. Augustiner Hell from the barrel is pure love in a glass - golden clear, wonderfully drinkable and so harmonious that every sip tastes like a tender embrace. A beer that melts the heart and palate in equal measure.

We were in family for the Osterbrunch in the Carolaschlösschen. The selection and quality at the buffet were very good! Everything delicious and fresh! It was constantly being refilled. However, the i-owel was our waiter Roberto Meißner, who looked after us very attentively and with a lot of humor! Service at its best! He does his job with heart and soul! We felt very comfortable and would love to come back! Thank you for the lovely morning/lunch!

We went to the Carolaschlösschen on our Sunday off and got a sunny spot straight away. Ideal for taking in everything and enjoying lunch with a glass of champagne, an iced chocolate and a lovingly made dessert. We were immediately greeted by the service very friendly and with a charming smile and our order was practically read from our eyes. Very attentive. We were always asked about our well-being and we will definitely come back.

The two of us had a very pleasant evening in the restaurant (inside). The outdoor area is also very pleasant in warmer temperatures. Very nice Art Deco furnishings, very attractive, you could have a good conversation, it wasn't too loud. The service was very attentive, a complaint was immediately responded to in a very professional manner and the dish was prepared again. The food tasted excellent and was wonderfully prepared. The quality of the ingredients was top notch. Matching wines, all in one a very successful experience. Definitely recommended and please maintain this high level!

All of us, six big and three small eaters, left stuffed after about 4 hours 😂🤗 We thought it was a shame that coffee was extra for breakfast. There was a welcome glass of champagne or orange juice 😋🤗 The service staff was also simply top notch 👏👏🫶🏼🫶🏼👍👍 Thank you very much for this great time. 🎉🎉 Here we were treated courteously as guests. The Easter brunch was once again a poem. Big compliment to the entire team. Despite the high capacity utilization, everything was very well organized and nothing was missing. Excellent quality. We'll see each other again for a BBQ in the summer at the latest.

On Good Friday we went to the Carolaschlösschen for Easter brunch. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The service was always very nice, attentive and always took the time to briefly talk to the guests. The food was great. There was a little bit of everything, so that nothing was left to be desired. We can also rate the ambience with 5 stars. We'll definitely be back. 👍🏼

The “Carolaschlösschen” is always worth a visit. Got a very good table today in a large group (as requested when making the reservation). Food was great, even if it wasn't quite as warm (it's not easy to bring 9 meals to the table at once). Service is always very attentive and friendly. All in all, a very nice evening for us, thank you for that.

The restaurant is beautifully located on a lake in the heart of Dresden. At the beginning (we were there at 6 p.m. and had reserved) the service was slow and the napkins were stained. Later the service was courteous and good. The food (we ordered the two vegetarian dishes) and the drinks were very tasty.

The food was of high quality, tasty and attractively presented. The restaurant's ambience is stylish and inviting, so you immediately feel at home - even at lunchtime. We would particularly like to emphasize the exceptionally friendly and attentive service. The staff was friendly and accommodating at all times. However, what impressed us most was the sensitivity and commitment in dealing with allergy sufferers and people with intolerances. We had already contacted each other by telephone in advance of our visit to discuss our specific needs. A suitable and delicious solution was immediately found for us. This proactive approach and willingness to respond to individual needs is truly remarkable and made our lunch an entirely positive experience. We can fully recommend the Carolaschlösschen and will definitely be happy to come back at any time. A big thank you to the entire team for this excellent lunch!

We felt like we were being mass processed. Long queues in front of the buffet and everything was very tightly arranged. When it came to vegetables for lunch, we had the impression that they were canned goods (peas, carrots, corn, beans). The kitchen also made a lot of effort to prevent any taste explosions, and they saved a lot on spices. We would have liked to drink a little more if the waitress had asked us. Due to time constraints, this was probably not possible. Anyone expecting something upscale here will be very disappointed, especially given the price, which wasn't worth it.

A nice location in a good location and friendly service. Unfortunately I can't recommend the food. We were there with 8 people and waited over an hour for food. 2 meals were cold, the side salad was too salty. My daughter and I had the Crisby Caesar Chicken, which is reminiscent of a chicken kebab plate. A few lettuce leaves without sauce, 2 cherry tomatoes, fries on top and the breaded chicken breast on top. For the price and the ambience, I would have expected something different. Unfortunately I don't recommend it.

We come together almost every year for a birthday at the Carolaschlösschen. For coffee, there are usually various cake platters and small sandwiches, which are always delicious. The service fulfills our every wish and is always there (there's plenty of staff on hand). In the summer, or when the weather's nice, you can also sit outside on the terrace. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the price, as we never have to pay. 😜

We went to brunch, unfortunately there were no baked goods made from spelled flour (we had a person with an intolerance) which spoiled the whole thing a bit, but Roberto saved it again with his great manner

Today, for a long time, we took a trip to the Breakfast Branch in the Carolaschlösschen. You immediately felt very comfortable and welcomed! It was once again an absolutely great experience to be able to enjoy this unique ambience, the brilliant team and the food! Always happy and hopefully very soon!

Unfortunately I have to give a bad review. We ordered food for 3:30 p.m. At least 60 euros for 1 person. It's now 4:30 p.m. and the food is still not here. At 10 minutes we say nothing but 1 hour? When I asked over the phone they said the driver would be there shortly, that was half an hour ago! Now we're making fried eggs...

It was a wonderful brunch. Everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The cold buffet looked very good. The taste was impeccable. The schnitzels at the hot buffet didn't impress me. They were very dry. And the mushroom sauce was a bit too floury for my liking. But that's just complaining at a high level. I will, of course, recommend the brunch to others and will visit again myself. Thanks to all the staff for making my Sunday a wonderful start.
