Best view, fair prices, nice service. You sit in the front row on the restaurant ship and enjoy the all -round view of the hustle and bustle in the harbor. The cuisine is down-to-earth and good. We were very satisfied. Top price/performance ratio.

Had dinner here today, unfortunately our son had to leave straight away because he felt sick from the very slight rocking of the restaurant. However, we didn't notice much of the rocking. I would like to highlight the service. We had already ordered food and our son was able to take his food to the apartment on a plate, thank you very much for that! The staff were very friendly and helpful, I was even shown how to fillet plaice. The ambience is something very special, the ships passing by are amazing!!! Keep it up!!

A find on the side of the road. Friendly service, the food (4x crispy schnitzel) was very tasty and generous portions at a moderate price. One star deducted because of the very long wait for our food, but as a vacationer there's no rush unless the parking meter is about to expire, the car had to be parked a little outside and the public order office is everywhere.

Schon alleine der Blick und die Atmosphäre machen einen Besuch lohnenswert. Supernetter Service und eine sehr leckere Portion Grünkohl mit Wurst und Top-Bratkartoffeln rundeten das Erlebnis ab!

On January 2nd, 2025 at 9:20 p.m. we got 2 super delicious schnitzels, one with fries and one with fried potatoes. Excellent! Gladly again!…

A great, because unusual restaurant, after more than 25 years it is already a certain landmark of Travemünde. The food is good and the staff is friendly, even the four-legged friend gets a bowl of water. No matter whether you sit inside or outside, you always have the best view of ships passing by. The big landmark, the four-masted barque PASSAT, is not far opposite. It's just a shame that the restaurant will soon be closing forever. The current operator will soon retire and the Hanseatic city of Lübeck is inexplicably making the sale difficult. Those responsible should be ashamed😥

Nice little restaurant, located in the water. Phenomenal view of the ships passing by. Super delicious food and nice, friendly service. Price-performance ratio also fits. Can only be recommended. We will definitely come back next year. Hopefully this will work out with the new tenant so that the “Traveblick” will remain with us for a long time.

We felt extremely comfortable here. A great place to “watch ships” and fortify yourself or quench your thirst. The service team is friendly and committed, the food is delicious. We got one of the last free tables, so a reservation seems advisable.

Beautifully located restaurant on a panoramic ship directly on the Trave. The menu offers many fish dishes, but also various meat dishes. It's best to reserve a table, even in the low season. The service is old school and was quite friendly. The drinks came to the table quickly and the dishes also in a reasonable time. In terms of taste, the dishes were rather okay. By chance we discovered the ship's restaurant yesterday; everything on the promenade was very busy and very hectic. We arrived there in bright sunshine, received a very friendly welcome and were even able to choose a table outside on deck. It's a very good menu with a great selection, whether fish or meat... We chose cod fillet and the Ostseebowl and both were sensational and also a great portion. We had a sunny spot and a fantastic view of the Trave. The two ladies in service were consistently friendly. We were very happy to have visited you! From the outside we wouldn't have expected the restaurant to have such fantastic cuisine, we were very impressed and were very happy! We did everything right when we went to this cozy restaurant for the first time on Friday the 13th, even if we didn't have a reservation. But we just got the last table for two with a direct view of the Trave: simply fantastic. We were served quickly and very friendly, always with a smile on our faces. Our food came really quickly, everything was appetizingly prepared and you could taste the fresh preparation. What a culinary delight! Highly recommended: the zander rolls. When we are in Travemünde again, we will definitely let ourselves be pampered HERE again.

Wir haben alles richtig gemacht, als wir am Freitag, den 13. zum 1. Mal in diesem gemütlich eingerichteten Restaurant waren, wenn auch ohne Reservierung. Aber wir bekamen grad noch den letzten 2-er Tisch mit direktem Blick auf die Trave: einfach traumhaft. Wir wurden zügig und sehr freundlich bedient, stets mit nem Lächeln im Gesicht. Unser Essen kam wirklich schnell, alles war appetitlich angerichtet und man schmeckte die frische Zubereitung. Welch ein kulinarischer Genuss! Sehr zu empfehlen: das Zanderröllchen. Wenn wir mal wieder in Travemünde sind, werden wir uns garantiert HIER wieder verwöhnen lassen.

Dear Traveblick team, the Traveblick must definitely be preserved! What would Travemünde be without the Traveblick, which has been on the Trave since 2001? For us, Traveblick is the first place to go out to eat. We have been visiting the restaurant several times a year since 2020 and have already eaten in many other restaurants in Travemünde. But the Traveblick is one of the last restaurants where everything is still made from scratch. Here everything is prepared fresh and with love - it is chopped by hand and there are no convenience goods. This can sometimes lead to longer waiting times, especially because the galley is not very large and the restaurant consists of two ships assembled together. But that's exactly what makes the Traveblick so special: you're here to enjoy and not be in a hurry. That's why it's our favorite restaurant and one we always go to in Travemünde. We are all the sadder about the news that reservations will no longer be accepted for 2025. It looks like no one will be able to take over the restaurant. The owner has to take care of her family and no longer has the strength to continue running the restaurant. We would therefore like to urgently ask that all options be examined in order to preserve the Traveblick. It is an important part of our Travemünde world of experience and has a special meaning for many of us. Since it is a unique restaurant that has a permanent place in the hearts of many visitors and locals alike, it would of course be a shame if such a special piece of Travemünde were lost. Perhaps a solution can still be found through joint commitment.

At first you might think it's a tourist trap because it's a "parked houseboat". But as soon as you try the delicious food and experience the nice and competent waitresses, you will be convinced of the opposite and will always be happy to come back! Bravo!

Wir waren mit 3 Paaren am 11.09. zum Abendessen im Traveblick. Von der Reservierung an waren alle sehr freundlich und nett. Das Restaurant, ein altes Schiff direkt auf der Trave - sehr schön. Die Bestellungen der Getränke und Speisen gingen in angenehmer Ruhe von Statten, was sich auch in der Abfolge des servieren der Vor-, und und Hauptspeisen fortsetzte - es war sehr angenehm, dass die Hauptspeise mit genügend zeitlichem Abstand zur Vorspeise serviert wurde! Wir hatten verschiedene Vor-, und Hauptspeisen (Fisch, Fleisch) - alle waren sehr zufrieden, so dass ich nicht eine einzelne herausstellen könnte - alle waren von guter Qualität, gut und lecker zubereitet. Trotz dem wir fast die Letzten waren, wurden wir nicht "hinauskomplementiert", sondern geduldig und immer nett bedient! Vielen Dank ans Team!

As ordered, rump steak was medium rare and excellent. Roast beef very very good. Everything was very well prepared, the staff was attentive and friendly and the view and location were unique.

Reservations were made in advance. The location and the ambience are really good! Unfortunately, the good impression was gone after we waited over an hour for our food and unfortunately it was also cold. Instead of understanding and apologizing, the reaction was insulted and rude! I've never given a meal back before but that was really cheeky in their entire dealings with us! Conclusion: inadequate and never again!!!

Went there for dinner for the first time and were surprised that we were able to get a seat even though there were a lot of reservations. So it's better to reserve in advance so you're sure to get a spot. The service was also very quick and very polite. The food was served after a short time and it tasted very tasty. So we'll be back and the view is really great.

What the ladies do there is sensational and they are always friendly. We really liked it, very tasty. The view of the Trave is also beautiful. Always the big pots up close. We can only recommend it.

Service great!! The staff seem to really enjoy working here, you can feel it straight away!! If you sit outside you have a fantastic view of the harbor and big boats :-) The food was also very, very good!! We had the plaice and were thrilled. We'll come back straight away on our next Travemünde trip :-)

Die Karte des Restaurants überzeugt mit vielfältiger Kulinarik. Hier ist für jeden was dabei! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war top! Dazu hat es auch sehr gut geschmeckt und auf der Sonnenterasse des Restaurants schmeckt es bei schönem Wetter besonders gut. Die Kellnerinnen machten zudem einen sehr guten Job! Klare Empfehlung des Restaurants !

Our favorite restaurant in Travemünde. Staff warm and attentive, cuisine traditional but with a twist. I've never been disappointed, but I've often been pleasantly surprised. If you don't mind light waves, you'll get your money's worth here. The only minor drawback: the espresso isn't that good.

My roast beef with fried potatoes was half the normal portion. I can judge this because I order this very often. The tartar sauce wasn't homemade, which is a shame. Fried potatoes were way too greasy. That doesn't match the price-performance ratio, but our service was very nice and made everything right again. Thank you very much, dear service team, you are overwhelmed, but still very friendly, despite the stress and I wish you all the best!

We got a table for 2 people... The other tables were supposedly reserved from 6 p.m., but no one came. A larger party arrived after us... but cheekily, even though we had ordered everything, they were served before us. They were asked several times whether it tasted good etc... The company also cleared things up quickly... only when we paid, when we were then asked if we would like anything else... We decided against it. We weren't even asked. We were probably only tolerated for 62 euros. The food was generally good: bruschetta with shrimp very good; my crispy schnitzel was good too; My husband had the Hamburger Schnitzel with fried potatoes... it was completely unseasoned. Otherwise the restaurant is nicely set up and cozy. Were very disappointed with this way.... Presumably the owners are not dependent on new guests who are not regulars. But we definitely don't go to this place... because there are plenty of good places.

Wonderful food and great service

We discovered the Schiff Traveblick restaurant while walking. Despite the high season, we got a table without any problems. The ambience is wonderful. On a ship, inside or outside, with the best view of the water. Impressive when a ferry passes by. The staff is friendly and attentive. Change requests are implemented without any problems. The food is probably called good bourgeois. There is fish and meat. Salads, etc. I was able to have my Hamburger Schnitzel customized to my liking. The fish was also good. Portions generous. The prices are ok too. I can only warmly recommend the restaurant to every visitor to Travemünde. Thank you for a lovely evening

It doesn't look very inviting from the outside, However, once you sit on the sun terrace with this great view it is pleasant. Plus the very attentive and friendly staff. From that point on we were totally satisfied and glad that we hadn't trusted the first impression. But the big surprise, the food. Excellent, very tasty. Rarely eaten so well. We visit this restaurant regularly when we are on the way to Finland or on a short vacation in Travemünde. Beautiful view and delicious food! We will be back.

Super friendly service. Great location. The restaurant itself is getting a bit old. There were some compromises in the dishes. Small portions (a handful of fried potatoes per person). Seasoning rather bland. Vegetables prepared with a lot of fat. You can understand the restaurant's search for a new chef ;-).

We spontaneously returned without a reservation and got a table for two. We each ate fish and meat, both were very good and tasty. The service is super friendly and nice. You shouldn't let yourself be irritated by the impression that the gastro ship is a little outdated. We would love to come back again.

We were skeptical at first, but when we ventured into the not-so-appealing Schiff restaurant, we received a very friendly welcome. A place on the terrace was quickly found after consulting with the friendly waitress about whether the seagulls were robbing here. There's something for everyone on the menu, but since we're on the coast we of course ordered fish. My wife chose the housewife-style matjes and I chose the fish platter. The food came in a reasonable time and I have to say that the portions were good, you don't leave the ship hungry here. My fish platter consisted of three types of fish fillets fried with a side salad and fried potatoes. The fish was super fried, not fried to death, just as it should be, still nice and juicy and the fried potatoes were crispy with bacon and onions. Simply delicious. My wife had three matjes with cream sauce and a side salad as well as fried potatoes. This dish was also very good, the herring was nice and tender. All in all, a great restaurant that I can recommend without hesitation. Take a look, it's worth it.

On the water with the best view. Service very good. Once redfish with sugar snap peas, that was great. Once in Travemünde fish pot, the fish was okay but the fried potatoes were extremely oily. Since it was quite a lot anyway, my husband poked around in it a bit, but didn't want to finish it either.

Everything was great, very nice staff, very fresh, delicious food, I can only recommend it.

We had arranged to meet my cousin there; she had also pre-booked a table from 1700, which turned out to be correct at this time. From the outside it's a nice, floating, outdated ship restaurant. Don't get me wrong, time has stood still a bit here, which I think is really good, no frills but a rustic boat that, even when viewed from the outside, gives the impression of calm. An ambience where you would like to sit longer. It is clean and technically tight ;-) We were greeted warmly and taken to our table. We had a small Maltese (dog) with us, which was also warmly welcomed. The interior is as shown in various pictures, simple but practical. The tables are covered with a center cloth. We had intended to eat fish there, but the menu showed that it might also be worth eating other things such as meat, poultry and salad. We stuck with 4x fish dishes with a side dish and 1x CordonBleu with fries. All the different fish dishes received an “Ohwieelekka”, we did not expect such tasty food. Delicious sauce for the fish, and a side salad that could be the size of a main course. All dishes, meat and fish, were served at the same time, very hot and so delicious that it was a great treat for the palate. During the meal, the person in charge of the table came by several times to serve any additional requests we might have had, in the form of drinks. I think it's worth mentioning that there are special dishes for the younger guests (children) as well as senior dishes for the older ones. But the latter is of such a large portion that even as a senior you should arrive hungry enough. All dishes were well portioned and due to the variety of dishes, this restaurant has a permanent place with us in the future. If you want to eat lekka in Travemünde, this restaurant ship is the perfect place for you.

Das Essen, die Bedienung, das Ambiente und erst recht die Lage direkt auf dem Wasser sind erstklassig und einzigartig. Das Essen wurde sehr frisch und mit größter Leidenschaft gekocht. Auch für Naschkatzen ist sehr gutes Desert bestellbar. Würde immer wieder kommen :)

Very nice staff, great atmosphere on a boat. Unfortunately the food was so-so. Fish fillet with bones? Unfortunately it doesn't work at all. Rice without sauce, way too dry. There is a piece of candy as compensation 🫣 But, you can also have a drink there.

After a visit to the craft market we visited the restaurant. Without a seat reservation, the two of us were able to eat and drink comfortably with a view of the water.

Das Ambiente ist durch die Lage auf dem Wasser ganz reizvoll, obwohl nicht gemütlich von der Einrichtung und Deko her. Wir haben außen gesessen. Nach langer Wartezeit (und es war nun wirklich nicht viel los) gab es dann Sommergulasch aus super trockenem Putenfleisch (geschmacklich war es gut), Salat mit uralt-morschen Oliven, verbrannten, latschigen, ungesalzenen Bratkartoffeln mit Speckfusseln drin (keine Happen, keine Zwiebelstücken), eine nicht knusprige , ungesalzene Scholle und Gurkensalat aus dem Eimer. Dies wurde bestritten, doch ich weiß, was ich schmecke/esse. Es ist so einfach, frische Gurken anzumachen mit Salz, Pfeffer, Zucker, Zitrone und Dill. Statt dessen fand man ein paar Gurken in undefinierbarem weißen Schmand-Glibber vor. Unsere sachlich vorgebrachte Kritik wurde nicht professionell verarbeitet. Nicht noch einmal, das kann ich 100 mal besser. Dazu braucht man echt nicht essen gehen und 21.-- EUR für das Gericht hinlegen.

leider klappte es nicht mit der Reservierung, hatten für unten bestellt, dort wurden wir nicht gerade nett aufgefordert nach oben zu gehen, gut, dass noch ein Tisch frei war,Bedienung kam spät , wohl schlecht geschlafen, später eine andere war sehr freundlich...Koch war auch sehr nett, Essen sehr gut, haben später erfahren, dass ein Käufer gesucht wird...schade

Barrier-free, unfortunately no.... The older waitresses were very unfriendly and not attentive and also completely unreasonable.... After we had placed our order, after some time a reserved sign was placed on the table with the announcement that we would be ready at 5 p.m would have to... We ordered at 4 p.m. and the food arrived at 4:30 p.m. No time for dessert... A schnapps at the end, the older waitress was still upset that her younger colleague had accepted this order. ... For 4 people 155.50€ is quite decent and appropriate for the food, it was really tasty.... But the service sucks... Respect to the younger, emphatic waitress, she still tried to appease... .

Gave delicious plaice at a reasonable price

Essen, weil es schmeckt. Mit traumhaftem Blick und sehr netter Bedienung. Wir kommen seit Jahre immer wieder und haben sogar einmal auf dem Flohmarkt Tupperware erstanden, diese gesäubert, um Gerichte mit nachhause zu nehmen. Immer wieder gern.

We've eaten there many times on our vacations, but this time...sorry, my dish was ok, but from my husband...well, we also reserved a table downstairs, weren't exactly greeted very nicely "go upstairs, and look...it took a long time for service to arrive, even though only 3 tables were occupied, an older lady was probably in a bad mood, other service employees were nice...a shame

This is no longer how we cook and serve food. The preparation on the plate is a mash with sauce. Fish soup with vegetables only. I looked for fish in vain. There was some schnapps as compensation, but that didn't cut it either.

Delicious food and good service. From the houseboat you have a great view of the Trave. We felt comfortable. A recommended address. Hamburger schnitzel with fried potatoes and labskaus were very tasty.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient, die Speisenauswahl war ausreichend und enthielt alles, was man sich an der Ostsee wünscht. Die Preise waren angemessen und nicht überteuert. Gut war auch, dass es kleine Portionen zu bestellen war. Die Qualität des Essens war ausgezeichnet, daher waren wir 3x da in einer Woche und jedes Mal sehr zufrieden.

Die Lage ist gut aber das Lokal müsste komplett überarbeitet werden. Das betrifft auch die Küche. Es ist günstig aber auch nicht gut. Die Aufbereitung ist wie vor 20 Jahren. Man gibt sich noch Mühe aber so serviert man heute keine Teller/ Speisen mehr. Getränke ebenso. Ich kenne kein Restaurant wo noch Wasser lose im Glas serviert wird. Hier fehlt ne ordentliche Brise Dynamik.

Very tasty cuisine, wonderfully friendly service, the location in the ship on the Trave in the harbor is simply A1. I really enjoy coming here, there are even vegetarian alternatives, which is often rare in restaurants that actually offer a lot of fish. The Bernese Rösti (without bacon) with spinach were a delight. Simply a great restaurant.

Simply great food. There are a lot of vegetables that are rarely found in restaurants. I would really recommend this restaurant to everyone and would come back again and again myself. I haven't found such a great menu in a long time. The service is a little grumpy but the food definitely makes up for it.

EVERYTHING is just right here! Price and performance. Hamburg-style schnitzel, matjes or the small menu of smoked pork loin with sauerkraut, boiled potatoes and, for dessert, baked apple with vanilla ice cream, cranberries and cream. Service and the view of the Trave round off the whole thing.

While looking for a typical meal on the Baltic Sea, we came across this romantic little restaurant. We got a table straight away without a reservation. Positive about the price/performance ratio and quality of the food, as well as the nice service. We will be back.
