Restaurant Café Stadt Frankfurt in Rüdesheim am Rhein

I can only warn against this, the lovely ambience is attractive here, but the waiters were completely disrespectful, the food would have been better in any kebab shop, but you would have paid significantly less. Half of our order was forgotten and we didn't get cutlery either. People also act as if it was their own fault.

We had 5 drinks and 1 tapas plate, overall 39euro, fair amount price/quality, went fast.. in and ouy in 30dish mins. Fluent in English. Biggest drawback is that we had to pay cash, no cards accepted.

Very tasty food, you can sit comfortably both inside and outside and on colder days the terrace is heated. The venison goulash was a dream and the roast pork was also very tasty. Our waitress took great care of us and was very friendly. Ask for Natascha and you will receive warm hospitality. Highly recommended, as there is also a public parking lot 4 minutes walk from the restaurant. *Tip the Rüdesheimer coffee as dessert. You get a very nice show😇👍👍

Food was medium Rhenish Sauerbraten super tender but red cabbage not very seasoned. At the entrance there is a tiny card with thumbtacks attached to the menu sign at the top right, with a crossed-out card as a motif - no one can see that! No wonder the waitress got angry when we complained about it. Probably every second person does that. It happens that you can't pay with a card in a long-established restaurant in the middle of this tourist town.

Dog friendly place with indoor and outdoor seatings. Kaffee is a must try if u love brandy n caffeine w a drop of sugar n creme. Pork knuckle is crispy with tender meat however it is a tad salty n we can smell the porky smell which isnt too spectacular. Salads refreshing no doubt and schnitzels good! Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

The reception was warm and the staff was very nice. The orders arrived quickly and the food was also very tasty. We recommend it without a doubt and we will definitely come back.

Great restaurant with super delicious food! I had the schnitzel with Asbach pepper sauce and croquettes. Plus a side salad. I highly recommend it. Price-performance ratio is still right here!!

A store that is definitely a good fit (also) for large travel groups. You can find a suitable atmosphere and the staff is always on the move. Unfortunately we weren't served, so I can't say much about the food - it certainly looked very tasty from a distance. Quae volumus, credimus libenter. Day of visit: July 13, 24 in the afternoon.

The restaurant offers an all-round perfect experience. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, always with a smile. The three of us ate and we were all thrilled – the food was freshly prepared and super tasty! What was particularly great was the cozy terrace, where you immediately feel welcome. A big thank you to the team – we will definitely be back!

Not as good as the review shows, we didn't order knuckle but other dishes and that wasn't as special as what you can prepare at home. The waiting time was long and I got cold food :(

In the café-restaurant “Stadt Frankfurt” you can experience a pleasant atmosphere and a friendly atmosphere. Despite the fact that it was very well attended, there was neither crowd nor disturbing background noise. The food was served in a reasonable time.

We had mushroom soup as a starter. This tasted like packet soup with strong flavor enhancers. We also had to wait longer than the neighboring tables who had ordered later, even though we had specifically mentioned that the starter could be served together with the main course. I had knuckle with dumplings. The knuckle was okay, but the dumplings and sauerkraut were also ready meals. There were three of us at a table of four, and suddenly a chair was taken away from us while we were eating without asking - as a result, all of the items we had placed there fell onto the floor. It's simply quick, impersonal tourist processing. If you don't have high taste expectations, you'll definitely be in good hands in this restaurant

Very tasty and the service was courteous. We sat on the heated terrace with our dog and felt comfortable. We'd love to come back.

Food and drinks were great! The service staff deserve a 5, but the service category gets a star deducted because we were only allowed to pay in CASH or via Paypal. There was no evidence of this anywhere and the waiters probably have to explain this several times a day. Nobody really understood why you couldn't just pay with a card. But that's complaining at a high level - otherwise everything was great!

Venison goulash 3 pieces of meat, spaetzle from the bag. Pork medallions fried to death. Fast tourist processing. 2 stars for the ambience.

Me and my mother went here for dinner on Friday (9/20). We ordered the knuckle and the schnitzel. The atmosphere was pleasant. The food, the price also good. Especially the woman who served us was incredibly friendly and super nice. She makes you feel welcome and is always available with a smile. She even gave us extra plates so that me and my mother could share the food. Careful! I think she already knows the Korean culture because many tourists from South Korea visit here. Thank you! The food is very good. A bit slow to American standards (don’t be in a hurry!) but very good regardless. But most importantly please be aware that this establishment does NOT accept credit or debit cards of any kind. It was our fault to assume that since it is in a very tourist oriented area (Port of Rüdesheim) that they would accept credit/debit cards. We were wrong in our assumption and it was a bit embarrassing. Between the four of us we “barely” managed to come up with enough to cover it. E100

Very nice restaurant in the beautiful Town of Rüdesheim, our dishes were really good. I took off one star because I'm amazed that in the year 2024 it was not possible to pay with any kind of credit card.

Nice restaurant in the center of Rüdesheim. There were six of us here and we were all very happy with the food. The menu primarily features local dishes. There is also something suitable for vegans. The waitresses are quick and polite. All in all, recommended.

Omg! This is the best pork knuckle I’ve ever had in my whole life! Sooooo crispy and the meat was so tender, sehr gut! But be prepared, cash only!

We all took their specialty which was excellent... quality, quantity, presentation,.... the setting is beautiful and the center very lively (08/19/2024) stage with music group and wine tasting stands on the lower place. Nice atmosphere to end after the brasserie which closes early.

Not recommend. Nice patio, but the food was not tasty at all. Prices are above average. Cash only. Staff was friendly, but didn't ask what size drink we wanted (brought bigger one) and also didn't ask why I didn't eat 80% of my meal (guess what - it wasn't tasty)

After ordering you have to wait 40 minutes (the employee told me that, not I guess!), in between you can't ask, otherwise you'll get in trouble from the operator. Yesterday I had such a bad experience, I don't know, they only happen to foreign guests (Asian) or to everyone. I've been to Rüdesheim several times and I've never had such bad service, NEVER again.

A popular tourist spot. Had Haxn: delicious, very plentiful, the cabbage was very fine. Dumplings: there is room for improvement in terms of taste. Great, cozy location with friendly hospitality.

There were three of us there on Saturday. We each ate rum steak and pork medallions with chanterelles. The service was great, we liked the food and the price was really okay! Gladly again :-)

What terribly unfriendly staff. Made a reservation and ended up having to wait more than an hour. Ultimately we were placed in a place where 2 table companions were sitting in the rain. We eventually moved ourselves. No cooperation from the employees at all. Ultimately, after dinner, we were unable to order Rudesheim coffee while other guests were served regular coffee, so offer an alternative! We were very disappointed with the atmosphere there. Plates were cleared while table companions were still eating. And payment could only be made in cash. We will never come here again.

The food is perfectly fine if you read what you order carefully. There isn't always a salad with it, nor do you necessarily get a vegetable on your plate. In our case there was only one waitress responsible for around 6 full tables. This resulted in delayed drinks replenishment. Otherwise a cozy restaurant where you can linger for some time.

A nice restaurant, not directly on Drosselgasse. Friendly and quick service. The food was good and the prices were normal for Rüdesheim. I can recommend the restaurant.

Really, find another restaurant. The atmosphere may seem nice, BUT: The food is so so, the wine list has much else to offer and it’s only possible to pay in cash. Probably they survive by one time guests. We visit Rüdesheim every year so this is our second time here (we visited a couple of years ago) but we won’t make the same mistake again.

We were in Rüdesheim for 5 days. This restaurant was recommended to us by the landlord. We were there every evening because everything was right. The food is freshly prepared and everything we tried tasted very good. The service is friendly, courteous and always in a good mood. Tables are for 4 people. Myself and my girlfriend arrived before some friends of ours. We ordered our plates - which were fairly good - and very quickly we were served. Then our friends arrived. As the restaurant was nearly empty, we took the liberty of pulling the table at our side. Our action was received by waiter with a shout "what are you doing? This is not how we do". He then came to us and reinforced thus. Once he was leaving, he said on my back "this is not your hose". Unnecessarily rude.

Waiter was nice, but not really competent. My friend specifically asked for a lovely red wine and one was recommended to her, but a white wine was brought... My coffee, two sips and it was empty... was more like a double espresso. Our table also had a yeast and a latte. Price together €18.70 No further visit planned by us.

Was received very friendly. The ambience is cozy and also inviting. I really liked the privacy screen so that you weren't sitting on the display plate when viewed from the outside. The food was very quick and also hot at the table. Had the roast pork with dumplings, the portion was just right for me. I have rarely eaten such a tender roast. Absolutely TOP value for money.
