It felt like being in Austria. What more can I say? Great staff, delicious cakes, and excellent coffee. Everything was perfect! I'll definitely be back!

An old-fashioned coffee house, just as you'd imagine it. The cake we had was delicious. Unfortunately, probably due to its fantastic location right at the start of the pedestrian zone, you get the feeling that as a guest you're either expected to leave quickly or you'll wait forever. The staff all seem very rushed, and even the delicious food and great atmosphere can't make up for it.

The service was a disaster. We were loudly insulted in front of everyone because we moved a chair from another table. We then left the cafe. I was very embarrassed for our guests that the staff behaved like that and no one intervened to remind them how they were supposed to do their jobs.

A café where you can't help but feel comfortable. Everything is rustic with a pleasant atmosphere. The food selection was excellent! But the hot dishes also looked fantastic and smelled delicious! Next time, I'll definitely come for either breakfast or lunch!

Café Prag has the charm of another era. Old wooden furniture, chandeliers, old pictures. It's anything but modern, and that's intentional, and a good thing. The coffee and cake were excellent, and the tea was also a good choice. Very friendly service. We would definitely go back.

The waitress is rude, the waiter didn't let us (the guests) pass. I can make pancakes better at home than they do. The staff isn't attentive.

Beautiful ambiance (unlike most modern cafés, which all look somewhat similar). A large selection of delicious cakes and pastries, as well as hearty dishes. The service was very attentive and courteous, not only fulfilling our every need but also anticipating our requests and even taking a souvenir photo for us. Highly recommended! Great location by the castle and right in the city center.

When the weather's nice, the ambiance of the sidewalk café is also very pleasant. The service is fast and unobtrusive.

I ordered a mango buttermilk cake. It had canned peaches, no mango in it. It didn't taste like mango or tart buttermilk, just too sweet. The cappuccino wasn't a cappuccino either; it had cocoa on it and everything else; it didn't even taste like coffee. The cake was €5.20, the "cappuccino" was €4.60. But we had a courteous young man serving us who explained that the baker couldn't get any mango, so he used peaches. It wasn't an apology, but he was nice. 😊

Nice café/restaurant on the edge of the old town. We had delicious Spritz drinks. We had rösti with the salmon. The rösti was a convenience store item, and there are definitely better options. The rest of the food was delicious. The service was super friendly.

A nice restaurant in Schwerin's city center. We went for Aperol Spritz, Sea Buckthorn Spritz, fish soup, and gravlax. We sat comfortably outside, overlooking the pedestrian zone! The drinks and food (we only wanted a bite to eat) were delicious. The prices are reasonable! A pleasant place to enjoy!

The service was very good. Everyone was polite and accommodating. The ambiance was also good. The food was also delicious: - Venison (roast wild boar) with pear and cranberries, beans and potatoes, and sauce. The meat was very tender. Everything was delicious. Why only 4 stars? Not enough sauce. - But that was my fault; I could have asked about it. - What I didn't like was the still water. It wasn't my taste. Water and water don't taste the same. Otherwise, they would get 5 stars.

Warm and child-friendly service At Café Prag, we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome – even without being sure if we were guests, the waitress attentively showed us the way to the restroom. The service was particularly child-friendly and warm, and our little one was immediately taken care of. You don't find this kind of attention everywhere. I've visited many cafes with pastry tastings. On my visit, there was little variety of sweets for this type of establishment. The one I tried was an apple pie. Honestly, although good, it falls into the "normal" category; after all, it's sweet. I didn't have the foamiest latte in history, although that's their way of preparing it. Sorry, I don't agree. The service and attention were good.

Service was great, but I can't recommend the Bali Bowl to anyone. If you want a bland, smurfy ice cream sundae, this is the place for you. The menu mentions coconut milk and fruit, which I looked for in vain. Over the ice-cold, indefinable blue mass, there was a spoonful of crunch, kiwi, canned pineapple, and orange... Bali?

We entered the café and looked for a seat. As soon as you sit down, you notice a very hectic atmosphere, as the waiters bustled around quickly, creating an untypical atmosphere for a cafe. We ordered coffee and wanted cake. However, you had to choose your own cake from the display case, wait... and bring it to your seat yourself. However, the cake was quite expensive, and coffee also came on a tray. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was nice, the cake was delicious, but it was a typical tourist trap.

The food was lukewarm, the wait was way too long, and when you approach them, you get a silly comment: "You're not the only one!" I'd rather stay home and cook!

We were on a day trip to Schwerin and had found this café recommended on the city's website. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. The service wasn't particularly friendly. My still water wasn't chilled. Furthermore, the pie wasn't good. It was more like puff pastry with no filling, soaked in sauce. The sauce also tasted very much like a convenience store product. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth a visit.

Cozy place to have a coffee. We ordered a few different kinds of cake (at the counter as always in Germany), and a few different drinks at the table and everyone was happy with the taste and experience. Centrally located not far from the castle, the church and the rest of the city.

Unfortunately, Café Prag doesn't stand out for the friendliness of some of its service staff. As a guest, you get the impression that you're disturbing the crowd. You're instructed, almost in a commanding manner, to carry the cake to your table yourself. Before that, you'll hear a brisk "Table number?" Drinks menu or sugar—you'll have to take care of that yourself. The empty plate is whisked away from the table, after a preliminary "Did you enjoy your meal?" My companion at the table is still eating. Most other restaurants and cafés in Schwerin prove that things can be done differently and better.

Beware of daily specials that aren't listed on the menu. When you enter the café, take a photo of the daily specials posted on the blackboard in the entrance area. Lunch and cakes aren't particularly good. Recommendation: Walk a few steps further toward the market square; you'll find better restaurants there.

We went there for coffee and ice cream 🍨 and ate outside, where it was also very cozy.

This restaurant was simply fantastic, there's no other way to put it. The service was quick and very polite. After ordering, you didn't have to wait long for your food. And when it arrived... TOP!... There's no other way to put it... it was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious. We were absolutely thrilled. And the latte macchiato perfectly rounded off the whole experience. I highly recommend the Café Prag restaurant.

We found it. The place to feel good. A wonderful aroma and delicious cakes as soon as we walked in. I was in heaven. We were seated right away, and the menu came quickly. Very nice cafe. The cake looked good. We had pork fillet in mustard sauce and potato wedges. The meat was very tough and the potato wedges were very dark. The turkey schnitzel was baked without sauce and served with croquettes. For the price, it was very poorly done. We won't be going there for lunch anymore.

The place was great. It was Sunday and that time it was perfect because there are 2 guys baskin infront so you have the live music plus a relaxing day. But the old lady who attended us was a bit rude. We sat and ordered but we changed our table just beside the first one we sat down. When she got back with our order and saw us on another table, she was so upset and kicked the chair and murmuring. I understand that each table have its own number w/c corresponds to your bill after but hello i think her reaction was exaggerated. And there were not a lot of people that time. Anyway aside from the old lady, it was still a good day.

We had dinner here today and received a very friendly welcome. Unfortunately, I didn't think the value was right. We had two pork medallions and two deep-fried potato rösti with chanterelle mushroom sauce, along with a Coke and an Alster beer. The whole thing cost €67. That's far too expensive for the quality. The rösti came from a packet and the medallion was unseasoned. Unfortunately, the toilet was very dirty.

We went for ice cream and weren't impressed. Ice cream must have gotten expensive, tiny scoops at a significantly inflated price and poor quality. My ice cream was half melted, and the other half had frozen burnt. However, the scoop was very, very small. The food may be better, but for ice cream and desserts, I absolutely don't recommend it.

I had schnitzel, which unfortunately wasn't the best I've ever had, and I also had to add more seasoning to the fries. Everything was still tasty, but in my opinion, it wasn't that good value for money. The atmosphere is good, you feel comfortable there, and it looks luxurious. The location is also great; you can admire Schwerin Castle. The staff is friendly.

A very nice café and restaurant. You can stop here for a meal or simply enjoy a piece of cake and coffee in the wonderful atmosphere. The cakes are made in-house, and there's a very large selection of teas. It's very cozy, and orders arrive promptly.

For breakfast, I would rate Café Prag as below average. The baked goods are simply reheated, and nothing on the breakfast stand is fresh, let alone homemade. Canned fruit salad and the like...the price-performance ratio is simply not adequate. Unfortunately, the cappuccino also tasted like it came from a cheap push-button machine. They seem to be resting on their laurels with their good downtown location. Unfortunately, not worth a visit for me.

Very boring food for the price. We had turkey steak which was very dry, almost tasteless and really boringly prepared. The premises are nice and it looks like their cakes are nice.

It was a great café, went for an early morning cappucchino alone and a daytime coffee with a family, both times the waiters we're really nice and the café wasn't too busy. Althought, on my morning cappucchino, when i wanted to pay, for some reason, the waiter asked me if i'm ok, maybe i drank the cappucchino too quickly, but i wanted to pay. The waiter asked me if i had any cash, she seemed a bit disappointed when i said i wanted to pay with card. (waiters get a small tip when you pay with cash). But even with that awkward interaction, i still enjoyed everything the café offered. For the café, the prices seemed reasonable enough, for cappucchino i paid 4,30€ and for a small coffee (1,5dl probably) the price was 2,90€ if i remember correctly. Both times, when i was at the café, i was outside, on the same table, the outside atmosphere was beautiful, nothing like my home country, which is finland, and there wasn't any tourists, expect me and my family, so i would definitely recommend a visit there.

A long-established café in Schwerin with 70s charm. The furniture is dated, and the chairs are showing their age and are partially worn. A very large selection of coffee specialties and cakes. Very tasty, but a bit overpriced in our opinion. The waiter who served us was very attentive and friendly.
