I've rarely eaten so well as here. The food was superb, the service superb – the ambiance first-class. A lot of heart went into the decor, including the sayings you see everywhere 👍 very apt 😉

I hadn't been here for ages for a meal, that is. We were greeted most warmly and were now starving. The friendly ladies took our order. We had a little time to take in the ambiance. A lovely conservatory surrounded our table. Everything was very clean, and the decorations were, of course, fresh. All the dishes from the extensive menu that we ordered were truly creative and a culinary delight. So the question is, will I come back? Absolutely! Everyone here does an outstanding job. So, thank you very much for the wonderful experience! Therefore, here's a 5-star review!

It's always worth it! The menu offers a wide variety of sophisticated dishes. The service staff is always friendly, attentive, and accommodating to guests' requests. The atmosphere is inviting and encourages you to linger. The food is consistently delicious, and the portions are definitely generous. Advance reservations are recommended.

Beautiful outdoor and indoor seating (including the conservatory). A large and varied selection of dishes, especially fish dishes, always accompanied by the perfect side dish. Preparation took a little longer, but it was a delight. The price is absolutely reasonable for such delicious and freshly prepared food. Including two drinks, it's about €35 per person.

Simply fantastic. We were there today without a reservation, and even though many tables were reserved, we got a nice table for four. It filled up quickly. The service was super friendly, and small requests were happily accommodated. Despite the large number of guests, the food came quickly and was delicious (burgers, salmon, schnitzel, and vegetable patties). The prices are absolutely reasonable. We stopped and asked for a table for three. After a short while, we successfully got our menus. We decided on schnitzel, burgers, and ox cheeks, and each had a beer. Our plates were completely empty by the end. Everything tasted great. Cozy, delicious, and friendly—that's how it should be. Top-notch—we'll be back.

Beautifully situated by the water and delicious food

Last week, four of us visited this wonderful restaurant. From the welcome to the farewell, everything was perfect. The service was first-class and the food was fantastic. If we ever vacation in the area again, we will definitely come back.

We were invited to lunch at your restaurant on August 30, 2025. As guests, we were able to enjoy the positive atmosphere, from the welcome to the food, service, and ambiance 💯%. The "Seewarte" was unknown to us until then, but the 2.5-hour drive from Strausberg was worth it. A huge thank you to our son for this wonderful time. A huge compliment to our son for being informed by phone the day before that, due to staffing shortages, there might be a longer wait for the menu. We personally (8 people) didn't notice it. The best place in Schwerin / Lake Schwerin for a really good meal. If we'd known how fantastic the food was, we would have made reservations there for all four days. Great, attentive service and the food...amazing 👍🏻

Unreserved recommendation! I don't even know where to begin. We ate here three times on vacation, and it was always excellent. The staff are very friendly, well-trained, and have great recommendations (many thanks again to the blonde restaurant worker: great recommendations—I just couldn't decide!). We always came here spontaneously and always got a seat. Sometimes you just have to wait a bit at the front by the lake for a drink. The food is worth at least 5 stars. The fish and meat are very attractively presented, and the recipes are wonderfully composed. I can recommend everything from "Salmon with porcini mushroom risotto," "Steak with chanterelle mushrooms," "Gurnard with pan-fried vegetables," "Paulsdamm sailor's sack," to "Cod with caramelized pears, fennel with fig mustard." The dessert is also simply divine. We really enjoyed our stay with you. A restaurant that stands out positively in the culinary landscape!

This Tuesday, two of us, plus our little four-legged friend, were warmly welcomed for dinner. There's nothing to complain about the ambiance, the service, and of course, the food. If I could, I'd give it 6 stars. The portions, whether appetizers or main courses, are very varied, enormous, and also very tasty. A lovely beer garden right on the water. The only drawback is the noisy bridge (cars) in the immediate vicinity. It's ideal for observing small and large watercraft.

Very tasty food, good service...a lack of accessibility...restrooms are difficult to reach via stairs...the ramp to the terrace is nice...when making a reservation, be sure to mention if you have wheelchair or walker guests...

Great food. If you're hungry on the boat, they have a mini port here ;) There's beer and beef. You can relax on a deckchair. I recommend it.

From the outside, it's so unassuming, but as soon as you enter the Seewarte grounds, it's an absolute highlight on Paulsdamm, just outside Schwerin. A fantastic menu, from fish to meat and vegetarian, seasonal and regional, there's something for every taste. Everything is prepared to the minute, with great and attentive service in a wonderful setting right on Lake Schwerin.

For our wedding, we ordered a buffet from Seewarte – and we couldn't be happier! The entire process was absolutely seamless: From the friendly communication and punctual delivery to the professional setup and takedown, everything went smoothly. Whether it's the food, the service, or the ambiance, everything here is excellent. The menu is large but well-organized. Our dishes (fish and meat) were excellent. It's quick and delicious. The service is also very friendly and attentive.

I can only say the same about the outdoor dining/kiosk. Drinks and ice cream are OK value for money. But it's a great place for a cycling break. We've been there several times.

Wir wollten einfach mal Mittag essen. Ich hatte per Mail bestellt, bekam auch zügig eine Antwort. Am 11.7 sind wir gegen 12.15 angekommen. Wir sind freundlich empfangen worden,trotz Rollstuhl. Der Wintergarten war sehr einladend. Freundliches Personal. Wir bestellten und würden nicht enttäuscht. Auch der alkoholfreie Gin hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Ich kann die Seewarte nur empfehlen. Es ist ein Ausflug wert.

Favorite place for ice cream parlor

We could not understand the moderate rating for this restaurant. In our opinion it was one of the best you can find in and around Schwerin. The staff is very friendly and the food excellent. We were lucky to get a table without a reservation because they're nearly fully booked in the summer. And that says it all.

We arrived after making a reservation and felt completely at home. Attentive and polite service, the dishes were beautifully presented, superbly prepared, and delicious. The goat cheese had an outstanding combination of fruity sweetness and spicy heat. We felt very comfortable.

A nice place to take a break right by the water. We "only" stopped for coffee, but we still enjoyed it. Great view of the canal and the lake. There are quite a few boats to see. All in all, worth a visit.

Bruschetta no oil, weak salt Seasoned meat supposedly from the East German era, like a campground can on some piece of meat and no salt. 1 noodle for the price is a joke, crayfish sauce so bad, uhhh The chef can't make a roux, hollandaise sauce even worse So bad and way too expensive, €5 per dish would still be too much!!! We were very annoyed And the wine, oh my god

Overall, a great location, the food was good and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the tagliatelle was lukewarm, and we waited 45 minutes for our drinks. What a shame.

The food is very good. Really recommend the atmosphere. Unfortunately, communication with the staff is not good. We were there twice to make appointments. The staff was hopelessly overwhelmed and massively unfriendly on both days. From the day of the visit, communication felt unpleasant. But the kitchen is great. Actually, it's a shame

We stood briefly on the “company premises” with our bikes. Short means 120 seconds. After we had already driven down from the site, someone came up to us and asked us if we hadn't seen that this was a parking lot for guests and that he was also having it towed away (exciting to tell me that as a cyclist). Despite my apology, he didn't stop and continued to talk to me. The icing on the cake is when you are then accused of continuing to be friendly and smile... He's right about that...but the style was over. That's why I wouldn't give the location a chance.

On Saturday I was a guest at the Seewarte in Schwerin with my two best friends. All I can say is that the three of us really enjoyed ourselves there. The service, food and ambience were top class. The selection of dishes couldn't be beaten and what was served to us was a dream. Freshly prepared, the taste was simply a delicious treat for the palate, and it was also excellent for the eye. We had lunch here with five people on Easter Sunday and almost everything was perfect. The ambience and surroundings are really nice, especially in sunny weather. The service was very friendly and very attentive. The food was really very good and plentiful, the menu offers something for every guest and also includes some creative things that deviate from the standard. And everyone really enjoyed it. Only the fried potatoes weren't that great. Unfortunately they weren't fried long enough and were very oily. But otherwise everything was really great. We'll definitely come back again. 😊

Während unseres Schwerin-Urlaubes haben wir in der Seewarte zu Abend gegessen, da uns die Gerichte auf der Karte angesprochen haben. Der Gastraum ist einladend, die Tische haben allerdings schon bessere Tage gesehen. Wir bestellten Fisch, Hähnchen und Wildschwein und waren sehr gespannt. Was uns als erstes auffiel, war der Apfelsaft, der mit einem extrem starken und aufdringlichen Geschmacksstoff aromatisiert und daher nicht trinkbar war. Ein guter Apfelsaft braucht keine künstlichen Aromen. Die Gerichte selbst waren gut auf den Tellern präsentiert und teilweise gut bis sehr gut. Die Beilagen, das Gemüse, der Spitzkohl und der Kartoffel-Rüben-Stampf waren ausgezeichnet. Auch der Fisch und das Hähnchen waren in Ordnung, das Wildschwein hingegen nur mittelmäßig. Was allerdings bei allen Gerichten überhaupt nicht passte, waren die Soßen. Die waren seltsam undefinierbar und eigentlich nur Bindemittel-Flüssigkeiten mit wenig bis kaum Aroma. Uns schien es so, als wären das Fertigsaucen, die einfach dazugegeben wurden. Die insgesamt durchwachsene Qualität der Speisen und Getränke passte nicht zu den sehr gehobenen Preisen.

Gemütliches Ambiente und eine tolle Lage. Im Sommer bestimmt auch super, auf der Terrasse am See. Der Service war kompetent und freundlich, die Speisen lecker und mit Liebe angerichtet. Klare Empfehlung.

After a while, we were guests at the Seewarte again. The reason for our longer absence is also the only point of criticism at the Seewarte - it's like winning the lottery to spontaneously get a place. The food was great and in my opinion you can't find it anywhere else. Every plate ordered was prepared with a lot of professionalism and attention to detail, even despite the large number of guests. The quality of the products and the taste of the dishes are just great. There are also highlights and suitable flavor and product combinations that can only be found in a few restaurants in the area. Service is good and friendly and accommodating and the ambience is also great, although we tend to go to the restaurant because of good food. The price is certainly in the upper 20 euros for a dish, but in my opinion the plate is worth it. In summer there is a different atmosphere in the Seewarte thanks to the large outdoor area. We would recommend the Seewarte to anyone who can reserve in good time and would happily come back at any time and often, even as a family with children.

Nicely located, but quite expensive

Absolutely one of the best restaurants in and around Schwerin. Can only be recommended! The food is always delicious and the service tries very hard to fulfill all wishes. The location directly on Lake Schwerin invites you to linger.

The dishes are something special and stand out from other restaurants with excellent taste, finesse and creativity as well as sufficiently large portions. Even the one time I had a serious cold it was a pleasure despite my limited sense of taste and we reserved 2 days for our second stay nearby and were there a total of 4 times, despite the high prices, and once in the bistro area outside the lake. A reservation is recommended, it is almost always full and fully booked, which is not surprising. The staff is friendly but, the only downside, they really aren't particularly quick. It can often take 10-20 minutes to order the menu and then, even if the store is very empty. So it's necessary to bring your time, but you won't regret it. When we are in the area again, a visit to the Seewarte will be part of it.

Disappointing experience – Not recommended Unfortunately, our visit to this high-priced restaurant was anything but satisfactory. We had great expectations, which unfortunately were not met in many respects. First of all, as a man, I called in advance and asked if we could decorate a table for a birthday. This request was immediately rejected, which was a little disappointing. When we were there and asked about the birthday child, there was no congratulations or nice gesture, just a glass of champagne. That really wasn't what we were hoping for. The seats were very uncomfortable and hard - definitely not what you would expect from a restaurant in this price range. The menu that was available online also did not match the one on site, which caused confusion and seemed unprofessional. The steak that I ordered medium arrived well-done - I wasn't even asked how I liked it, which we also found to be a lack of service. Additionally, the water was more expensive than some other non-alcoholic drinks, which was not only confusing but also inappropriate. The service was also disappointing. When I asked about the dessert menu I was met with the question “Why?” confronted and had to ask several times until the card finally came. A simple “Gladly, I’ll bring you the card immediately” would have been much more professional. The highlight of the unfriendly service was when the waitress kept looking over my shoulder when ordering the bill, which made me very uncomfortable and under pressure. The only positive thing was that the toilets were clean, although the toilet paper was single-ply and very hard - this could also be handled better in a restaurant in this price range. And as if all that wasn't enough, I found the saying on the hospitality receipt simply outrageous: "Don't get a divorce if your wife can't cook, eat with us and keep your wife as a hobby." Such a sexist, unacceptable statement had no place in any restaurant and only contributed to my negative perception of the evening. All in all, the price-performance ratio was not justified and unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

The best address in Schwerin when it comes to really good regional cuisine. Very good dishes that are far from any standard convenience food, everything (or at least most of it...) is still handmade. Nevertheless, the map is surprisingly rich. This also applies to the dish on the plate, there is no need to order the "entire duck" because you simply get a full plate that makes all your taste buds rejoice. Coupled with super nice and attentive service, eating here is almost a small event. Of course, this also results in a corresponding demand, especially on weekends. T. long-term reservation nothing. Yes, I know that a positive review tends to reinforce this, but the Seewarte is no longer an insider tip and the girls and boys really always do their best here.

Good food, without question. Unfortunately, it is difficult or impossible to get a table without a long advance notice. Maybe a niche can be found for this. The service can still be adjusted in terms of friendliness. 😊

Reservations for the week are completely uncomplicated. We got a table with a magical lake view. Advent time and the restaurant was lovingly designed. The staff was extremely professional, friendly and quick. The food (2 x fish dishes) was a treat for the palate. My family had a celebration at the Seewarte and it was a very disappointing experience. The service was unpleasant and loud, which significantly disturbed the atmosphere. Especially during a speech, the staff repeatedly intervened in a rude manner and interrupted, which was simply inappropriate and disruptive for a celebration. Overall, the behavior of the waitress was very unfriendly – ​​both towards the guests and towards their own colleagues. The older waitresses were particularly rude, while the younger employees were friendly and tried hard, but were obviously not treated well by their older colleagues. It seemed like the team didn't work well together, which had a negative impact on service. In addition, my family's wishes were hardly taken into account at the Seewarte. The organization was chaotic and there was a lack of flexibility to organize the celebration according to our ideas. The food was also disappointing and not at all justified for the high price. All in all, I can definitely not recommend the Seewarte for a family celebration. The rude, loud wait staff, unprofessional service and mediocre food make this place not the best choice. If you want to host a celebration, you should definitely look for a better alternative. The location may be nice, but even that can't make up for the overall disappointing experience. Too bad.
