The somewhat expensive restaurant. But by far the best with Restaurant Blied. The food is amazing. Only to recommend.

A great restaurant with a great ambience and very attentive staff. We ate and drank really well there. A wonderful card with a nice selection. Frying your own steak on a hot stone is a special experience. My recommendation is the Beef Stroganoff a la Gerald. You can have a drink in the bar before or after. If you love service and good food, this is the place for you.

Very cozy, very friendly and above all very good! Compared to the island level, the prices are completely reasonable!

The only thing you have to ignore is the bill. Always a great meal at the end of the holiday. One of the reasons why our adult children still come to Langeoog! Very pleasant service.

Mehrere Tage durch die Speisekarte gefuttert - von (Vor)Suppe über Steak, Rippchen bis hin zu unterschiedlichem Fisch auf'n Teller. Stets auf dem Punkt zubereitet und immer super lecker, nicht nur die "Hauptspeise" sondern auch die Beilagen waren wirklich super. Darüberhinaus ist das Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und nicht "norddeutsch unterkühlt".

The bad reviews due to the 12+ rules are an absolute mockery! There are enough family restaurants, offers, etc. There is also enough choice on Langeoog! In fact, it is dangerous if food is served on a hot stone or on an open flame. Now about our visit: We went to the colorful cow for New Year's Day and were really excited. We knew the restaurant from a stay in 2021 and are happy to go there again because of our positive experiences. The service is outstanding. The blonde, young lady who apparently runs the evening service is on the ball, super friendly, always has a smile or a joke on her lips and can tell when the glass is empty. Advice is also not neglected. Her colleagues are also impressive in their work! Service an absolute 10 out of 10 The food: I had the beef fillet on the hot stone. The taste is really very good, the meat is of top quality, the side dishes and sauces are also delicious. My wife had the burger. It was good so far, but “not a highlight”.. just okay and everything was fresh, maybe a bit steep for the price. Unfortunately our dessert went a bit wrong. Had the lava cake, which was served in three small bowls. As a result, it was correspondingly smaller and unfortunately no longer liquid inside. There was also a noticeable lack of sweetness. The fruit mirror and the vanilla ice cream couldn't ignore that either. If necessary, you should purchase larger bowls and serve a portion. This means the cake won't bake through as quickly. That was a bit annoying considering the high price, but it didn't change our conviction! Our only problem: Due to the large number of main dishes, which are flambéed or served on a hot stone, the dining room smells very strongly of fat/food, similar to raclette at home. You try to counteract this by ventilating, but this in turn leads to a very cool guest room. It didn't particularly bother us, but you should know and be able to assess this in advance. We are completely convinced by the Bunte Kuh and were thrilled on each of our three visits there and every time. We would like to come again!

It was an all-round successful and lovely evening in the “colorful cow”. The welcome from the staff was very warm and accommodating. The restaurant is chic and modernly furnished. The ambience is pleasant - it is pleasantly quiet - you can start the evening relaxed. The service was very friendly, the food we ordered (Bunte Kuh burger and pan fish) was delivered beautifully and beautifully prepared in a reasonable time. The portion sizes were optimal - you will definitely be full here. The food is reasonably priced. In terms of taste, it's a smooth 1. It's definitely not the last time we've been here. I also think it's completely okay if the house uses its right to only allow children aged 12 and over to enter. From experience in other restaurants (children walking over chairs and benches, toys flying onto the plate at the next table, parents consistently looking away) this is more than understandable. Therefore, I have full respect for this decision.

Wow! Very tasty food, very friendly service and a great ambience. I had pan fish in a mustard curry sauce. The dish was outstanding and unique in taste. To the children who are denied access under the age of 12, I can just saying that some parents have themselves to blame. The children cannot help it that they are brought up inconsistently. If children run through the restaurant, are cheeky, scream and can't sit still, let alone smear sauce on the wall and the parents don't say anything about it, but instead positively reinforce the behavior and then stand up in front of the specialist staff, you shouldn't be surprised if it happens somewhere boundaries are drawn. Of course, I feel very sorry for children and parents who can behave appropriately.

Ich habe noch nie so gut gegessen! Das Restaurant ist sehr schön eingerichtet und der Service erstklassig. Ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen.

Es war ein rundum gelungenes Essen und dazu hat der sehr gute Service mit einem sehr netten und aufmerksamen Team beigetragen. Wir hatten einen bunten Salat, Sataraš a la Toni (vegan), am Tisch flambiertes Weidelamm und zum Abschluss das Mangosorbet! 😋

Ein rundum schöner Abend, die Speisen waren sehr gut, beim Personal hatte man das Gefühl, dass es im Beruf die Passion gefunden hat, und das Ambiente ist sehr schön.

Ein Lokal das Kinder erst ab 12 Jahren zulässt, denkt nicht diskriminierend, sondern an die Menschen, die auch mal in Ruhe ihr Essen zu sich nehmen wollen. Die hier eine Diskriminierung darin sehen, sind in der Regel junge Eltern mit Kindern, die ihren Sprösslingen Toleranz, Akzeptanz und ein soziales Miteinander beibringen müssen. Dann sollen sie bitte das auch mal den Kindern erklären, warum es solche Lokale gibt. Aber in einer Zeit, wo man immer mehr beobachtet, wie Kinder ihre Eltern erziehen, fehlt hier wohl das Durchsetzungsvermögen. Wir wünschen auf jeden Fall den Betreibern weiterhin zufriedene Gäste.

Wir lieben das Restaurant „Bunte Kuh“, das Haus „mare“ und vor allem das freundliche und liebenswert Personal. Die angebotenen Speisen, angefangen vom Cesar-Salat, über das Schnitzel und nicht zu vergessen die verschiedenen Variationen des heißen Steins, sind von hoher und guter Qualität, die wir nur zu gerne bestellen. Wenn es ginge, würden wir auch mehr als fünf Sterne vergeben. Unverständlich sind einige Rezessionen, die Sterne abziehen, weil Kinder unter 12 Jahren nicht erlaubt sind. Es wird Gründe geben, warum diese Entscheidung getroffen wurde und es wird niemand genötigt, dort einzukehren. In sämtlichen Reisekatalogen und -zielen gibt es Adults-Hotel, die sogar erst ab 16 oder 18 Jahren Gäste aufnehmen. Liebe Familie Hausmann und Team, ihr seid toll und wir sind so gerne bei Euch. Macht weiter so!

Es war ein wunderschöner Abend mit unglaublich tollen, absolut hochwertigen Produkten und einem absolut aufmerksamen und mega freundlichen ServiceTeam. Ich kann nur sagen, das es kaum besser geht. Wir bedanken uns für dieses kulinarisches Erlebnis,den tollen Service und freuen uns schon auf das nächste mal.

Das Essen auf dem heißen Stein war ein Traum. Mein Lachs war super lecker und stimmig und auch das Steak von meinem Freund war einfach nur top. Es war nicht nur ein Essen sondern ein Erlebnis dazu. Ich kann nicht verstehen warum Leute Sterne abziehen nur weil das Restaurant Kinder erst ab 12 Jahren zulässt. Man möchte diese Atmosphäre schließlich auch genießen und Kindern wird halt schnell langweilig und sie wissen auch nicht zu schätzen was sie dort eigentlich essen.

Liegt in einer ruhigen Wohngegend von Langeoog abseits der anderen Restaurants. Lohnt sich aber total ! Sehr nettes Personal und lecker gegessen: Langeooger Fischsuppe und als Hauptgericht Kabeljau vom heißen Stein.

Tolles Lokal mit einem guten Essenangebot. Das einzige was nicht so gut läuft: fast alle Gerichte sind mit Kartoffeln als Beilage vorgesehen. Es ist schade, dass keine weiteren Optionen angeboten werden.

Ambiente, Staff und Essen stimmen - das Filet auf dem heißen Stein ein Genuss. Innen genießt man in Seemannsstuben, im Aussenbereich erwartet einen Ibiza- Feeling.

Service sehr freundlich und umsichtig. Das Essen sehr gut gemacht, Zutaten frisch und sehr gut verarbeitet, hätte nicht besser sein können. Die Athmosphäre entspannt. Dass keine kleinen Kinder die Ruhe stören, ist ein Gewinn.

Einer unserer gemütlichsten Abenden hier im Norden! Kleine und gemütliche Terrasse - übersichtliche, aber feine und sehr ansprechende Karte. Essen war toll abgeschmeckt, liebevoll angerichtet und mit viel Charme serviert… Wir kommen gerne wieder😋

Angenehme Atmosphäre. Das Lokal ist im englischen Stil eingerichtet. Es gibt eine übersichtliche Speisekarte mit interssanten Gerichten, die sehr zügig serviert wurden. Ebenfalls eine sehr aufmerksame Bedienung.
