Nordseehotel Kröger in Langeoog

We felt very comfortable and had a wonderful holiday in this very well-located and tastefully furnished hotel. I particularly appreciated the friendly, personal service and the extensive breakfast. Update: We stayed there several times and felt very comfortable.

Hello my dears. Today I'd like to say a few words about the beautiful Nordseehotel Kröger and its restaurant "BLIED," which has been located on Langeoog Island in the state of Lower Saxony, Germany, for 25 years. The location on this beautiful, idyllic, and family-friendly island is close to the beach and invites you to a delicious culinary delight every day. With a terrace, four beautifully positioned beach chairs, and two indoor areas, there's room for almost everyone, as long as there's space. The beautiful and cozy ambiance invites not only a cozy get-together, but also a delicious meal. The dishes are freshly cooked and served here every day. The perfectly coordinated and excellent kitchen team prepares excellent food for its guests every day, a feast for the eyes as well. The staff, starting with the two receptionists who escort you directly to your table, whether you have a reservation or are a walk-in, are friendly and very competent. The friendly and very competent service staff takes loving care of their guests with great dedication. Whether you have special requests or simple orders, they'll accommodate everything as far as possible. From vegan and vegetarian dishes to great steaks and burgers, there's something for everyone here. There's room for families and even our four-legged friends. So, if you're ever on vacation on this beautiful island, don't miss the opportunity to pay BLIED a visit. All in all, it's a great hotel: family-friendly, welcoming, and with a fantastic restaurant. Bottom line: top location, top service, top food, and great people.

The rooms were clean, but showed some signs of wear. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel's location was excellent. The highlight was the breakfast buffet, which left nothing to be desired.

I can only rate and recommend the Blied restaurant. It serves delicious food and is very friendly and attentive. As with almost all restaurants on Langeoog, the price/performance ratio is somewhat high.

It was our first time at the Nordseehotel Kröger, or rather our very first time on the island of Langeoog. First of all: It was a very nice vacation, but one thing occurred that prompted this very review (and I normally never write any reviews)! One evening when we left the hotel to go out to dinner, I hung my room key on the key rack behind the reception desk, as the hotel provided. If you return to the hotel after the main entrance has closed and therefore need to use the night entrance, your room key will be hung on your door (a very questionable/complicated system in my opinion, but it's exactly what it says on the information sheet that's in your room upon arrival, so I just trusted it). I could now describe in detail the whole thing that happened the evening after we returned to the hotel (checking out the neighborhood, etc.). I'll pass on that for now, but the end result was that I spent the night on the couch in the room of other travelers (thank goodness I was traveling in a group—had I been alone, I probably could have made myself comfortable somewhere on Langeoog's shopping street...). An absolute no-go, and I have absolutely no idea why the hotel handled it this way (I was also told I wasn't the first hotel guest to experience this!!!). The really bad thing, however, was the hotel manager's reaction when I pointed out to her the next morning that I hadn't been able to get into my room the previous night and had therefore slept with other hotel guests—that's something to keep in mind! In all seriousness, she replied, "Thank you for the tip, I'll get the staff to deal with it." The lady should just be glad that I'm a calm person and, to be honest, I wasn't too stupid to get upset during my vacation. As I said, the vacation and the island of Langeoog itself were truly beautiful, but I've drawn my own conclusions regarding this hotel: definitely not a second visit! A beautiful hotel in a prime location. Very friendly and uncomplicated check-in and check-out. All other requests were also quickly fulfilled. The staff, from the front desk to the bar, deserve special mention: we felt very welcome!

If you want to relax on Langeoog, this is the right place, top location, super attentive service and the rooms are tastefully decorated. We will definitely come back.

A very, very nice hotel. When we arrived, we were the only guests in the hotel. We were able to move around completely freely, even though there were no employees in the building. It was a truly wonderful and unique experience. The next morning, we received an incredibly warm welcome from Patrick. He delighted us with his friendly manner and made our stay a highlight, even in the days that followed! He truly practices his profession with passion, and many people could learn a thing or two from him. All in all, a truly fantastic stay! We would love to come back!

We had a great New Year's Eve at the Nordseehotel kröger. A tastefully furnished house with a nice staff. Very dog ​​friendly. Our furry friend was allowed into the restaurant/breakfast room and there was a dog mat and food bowl available in the room. The quality in the restaurant is particularly worth mentioning. Everything was super tasty. Fresh game dishes from our own hunt and the New Year's Eve menu was a blast, everything was just perfect. We'd love to come back. Thanks for the nice hospitality!

We stayed at the Hotel Kröger over New Year's Eve. Friendly and great service at all times. The breakfast is very good and varied. The food in the restaurant is also fresh and very good. The location of the hotel, close to the tower, is well suited for beautiful trips on the island. I wish the team a happy new year.

A very well-maintained hotel with committed and friendly staff. The hotel is centrally located near Langeooger's landmark, the water tower.

The Nordseehotel Kröger exudes a certain tranquility, which is already clear from the comparatively small facade facing the pedestrian zone. This also means that the building was essentially built towards the back, i.e. away from the street. As a result, street “noise” is not an issue for a large majority of guests. By the way, there can hardly be any talk of noise given the lack of rattling cars and mopeds. The house was renovated a few years ago. The rooms are equipped with beds that allow you to sleep comfortably. The size of the room compared to the price of the room can be criticized. We've had much more spacious ones. The bathroom can also be measured in just a few steps, but is functional. The house was built decades ago and lacks an elevator. This is not always a great joy, especially for full-time foot lifters, colloquially known as “pensioners”. However, this is difficult to avoid because of the structure and the effort that retrofitting an elevator would require. Ask for help carrying your luggage. You don't have to and shouldn't do it yourself. The rooms are cleaned reliably. Signs of use are to be expected in a new building that is no longer brand new and are not defects. The employees all strive to ensure that the guests have a pleasant stay. They are clearly well trained, friendly and attentive. We experienced the latter several times. An employee saw that we were in a group of 5 people looking for a table on the terrace, but initially didn't get one because the tables were full. So we took a seat in the dining room. A short time later she appeared at our table and informed us that a table outside was currently becoming available. Without even talking about it, she recognized our wish and made us happy - thinking along, that's what we call it. We had an excellent meal in the house in the evening. The dishes are harmoniously composed and presented, the quality is really excellent and so is the service. All wines on the menu are also served by the glass, which leads to a larger selection but also to greater enjoyment. And anyway; the culinary... The longer you live, the greater the wealth of experience. That's usually true and in my case I can say that I've seen it at many a breakfast buffet. But this one really stands out. As far as I can remember, I have never had such an abundance and quality of food available to me in the morning. You can't do it better. The hotel also offers this to “aliens”, i.e. guests from outside who are not staying in the hotel. And that for 22 euros. We consider this to be exceptionally good value for what is on offer. And that brings me to the last aspect of my review, the price. All things considered, we think the hotel price is reasonable. I also mentioned a few things above that could possibly be improved (no elevator, small rooms, small bathroom). The vast majority of a successful holiday stay has to do with the friendliness, the coziness, the gastronomy and the cleanliness of a hotel. And all of these aspects can be found in the very best way at the Nordseehotel Kröger. And that's why we think the price is reasonable and would love to stay here again if we could go on holiday again. We would recommend it to you too!

One of the most beautiful hotels. Here it is the package of warmth, genuine hospitality, excellent cuisine and a breakfast buffet that will make you fall in love.

Great hotel in the best location on the island! Even the reception at the reception gave us the feeling that we were in the right place. Wonderful room (cat. Large with terrace), beds with good sleeping comfort. We treated ourselves to half board, which was also the right decision. The breakfast buffet was exceptionally extensive. The variety of dinner was great, always a choice between meat, fish and vegetarian. But all of this is nothing if the person behind it isn't there. But you can also feel really comfortable here. All the staff we came into contact with as guests were super friendly and often had a nice joke. All in all, a week in which you could relax very well despite a few rain showers.

I have already written a review here with inserted pictures. After this recession, Ms. Yvonne Kröger contacted us by phone and we explained again what had gone wrong. She apologized to us and explained that she was not there at the time. She asked me how she could make it up to me. I then told her to think about something, it was about two months ago now and we also wrote her another email. There was just nothing, no answer, no nothing. I think this hotel really doesn't have a good business card and I don't know how to treat their guests properly. I really wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. That was the biggest disappointment for us and we will probably never visit this island again. Four stars have a different calling card.

Great hotel in a great location!

Cozy and modern designed hotel with excellent breakfast. Top location in the pedestrian zone, almost directly at the water tower and very close to the beach. The only criticism is that Visa is not accepted and you can only pay using Master or EC.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights as a couple + dog including half board! Breakfast was very good, great selection and great rolls! Dinner as a 2-course menu (alternating starter or dessert + main course), very good quality and delicious! Water for the room or your own bottle can be refilled at the bar! Very dog ​​friendly and the rooms are well equipped! The bathroom could be a little bigger and the closet was a little small, but it was perfectly adequate for us! Location is perfect! Right in the city center. 10 minutes to the train station. 10 minutes to the beach. We would come back!

The Blied restaurant at the Hotel Kröger was very well staffed. Since we didn't have a reservation, they opened the room. The range of dishes and the food were very good. Unfortunately, cocktails are only served from May. That was a real shame. The year before we were able to benefit from the entire range. Overall, the Blied restaurant is recommended.

Just great, we really liked it. The service from the employees was great, very friendly and competent. What the hotel is missing is an elevator, otherwise you can't complain, will definitely come back.

Were there as a couple over the weekend. - Winter arrangement - Everything was perfect...a very courteous, super friendly staff, the food - a kitchen that was prepared with love and enjoyment...the room was great...due to the sunshine, we didn't use the spa area. The location of the hotel is great. We'll definitely be back...thank you very much

We weren't so happy last summer. When we arrived, the reception was unstaffed, and after about 40 minutes we were assigned our rooms, which we reached via an arcade. Since the toilet windows face this pergola, we were initially greeted by the flatulence of the neighbor. The rooms are small, the bathroom was an absurdity. For me, at 1.96 m, it was almost impossible to sit on the toilet because of the narrowness. The breakfast buffet and the service in the restaurant were good.

Top hotel and service, private spa great, very clean and everything nicely coordinated. The price is justified.

Wir haben uns spontan zu einem Kurztrip nach Langeoog entschlossen und haben uns für das Nordseehotel Kröger entschieden. Das hat sich als sehr gute Wahl herausgestellt. Wir waren sehr erfreut darüber wie herzlich und liebevoll wir empfangen wurden. Das Hotel bietet alles was der Seele gut tut. Wir wurden als Gäste in vollem Umfang wahrgenommen. Es wurde nach unseren Wünschen und Bedürfnissen gefragt und zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit erfüllt. Das gesamte Umfeld des Hotels lässt einen schnell den Alltag vergessen. Wir werden dieses Hotel absolut weiterempfehlen und werden selber ganz sicher wiederkommen. Dankeschön für alles!
