Very idyllic beer garden with friendly service. Great kitchen!

It's a shame...I would have liked to give a better rating. As a person with Czech roots and a lover of Bohemian cuisine, I was really happy to have found a restaurant here that specializes in exactly this cuisine. My expectations were correspondingly high and looking at the menu made my heart beat faster. But unfortunately I was rather disappointed in the end, but that was entirely due to the food. Because both the service and the ambience are great. You immediately feel welcome, the staff is very warm and professional and the ambience is elegant and rustic. Everything is stylishly furnished and invites you to linger. Big praise goes out to the entire team! But the quality of the food was unfortunately very disappointing. As a hobby chef who loves Bohemian cooking, I immediately noticed that 80% of the items were ready-made products, especially the sauces! The admittedly beautiful presentation doesn't help either. Let's start with the starter salad. This was fresh but unseasoned. The dressing came from the bottle/bag. The garlic soup in the supposedly Bohemian style lacked potatoes, bacon or smoked pork and grated cheese. There was far too much parsley in it and it was seasoned too lightly. I cook them better in 45 minutes. The sauce for the spaetzle was purely a bag product and not worthy of Bohemian cuisine. The napkin dumplings didn't taste like anything. The Prague ham was okay, but that was the only thing. The Bohemian soul was completely lost due to all the finished products. And this region in particular is predestined for its fresh cuisine, where cooking is still done with love and passion. The prices were quite high for that. That would be fine if it had at least been good. Anyone who has ever been to the Czech Republic will know what I mean. Good cuisine at relatively low prices. So, to get good Bohemian cuisine, I will continue to cook myself or have to travel far...perhaps my expectations were a bit too high; someone who has already visited countless restaurants with Bohemian cuisine may not be able to do otherwise. The three stars are for the really excellent service and the beautiful restaurant. Too bad

Unfortunately very inflexible. Had a voucher from the Corona period. There was no accommodation regarding the validity. Quote: you don't have to eat here. Too bad. I expected it to be great.

As always......great. The ambience is totally elegant and appealing. The tables are set with tablecloths and cloth servers. The food was, as always, delicious. The service was very nice. Always a highlight for me

First class atmosphere. Service is top and the food has been consistently good over the years.

For me the visit was a disappointment. I ate the "scoop". The meat was bland in taste. A piece of toast would have been more seasoned. The service was curt, but that was probably due to the two companies. The atmosphere...it's so loud in this "hall" that it's hard to have a conversation. Will not plan another visit there.

I was pleasantly surprised that there is also Czech beer and Czech cuisine here. Very tasty, very nice staff, highly recommend!

We always enjoy coming to the Bohemian Forest when we are in Minden. Our highlight on the map is Svickova. The service is also excellent every time.

The soup was just great! The main courses were of very high quality in terms of meat. We dropped a glass of Alster and a new glass was immediately brought and no charge was made. We also had a child in our group and we also got a really big ice cream on the house. Really good. The prices are a bit high but the quality speaks for itself.

It's a bit away from the center but still easy to reach on foot and if you sit outside you won't be disturbed by traffic. Minden is a city that has a lot to offer: the old town with the cathedral, the location on the Weser, the Mittelland Canal, and - not forgetting the gastronomy, which also includes the Böhmerwald restaurant. Here are all three good things to experience a wonderful day in Minden. All that's missing is that the mayor of Minden invites the visitor to the Böhmerwald restaurant for dinner. So then a day off in Minden would be perfect. Of course that is not the case, neither in Minden nor anywhere else. But in a city it is possible. There are four of all good things. “And where is that supposed to be?” some of you will ask yourself. Well there is no city here on the 🌎, but this HEAVENLY JERUSALEM. “Oh, now it’s getting biblical,” one or two people might say. That is also true. One thing is certain: death is sure to come. Very disappointing. Don't come back again. This is the second year that we have made reservations for asparagus. When we finally arrived hungry, we were told, like last year, that unfortunately there was no more asparagus. Then we got up and left. I can only recommend “the Knolle”, where we spontaneously got a great table and delicious asparagus afterwards at 7:30 p.m.

It was just great. We felt very comfortable. The food was typically Bohemian, very tasty. Really highly recommended. 👍

Today, unfortunately, I only received the aperitif after the soup, which was a house-made mixed drink, but unfortunately not Kir Royale. The Prague ham tasted well, although the bread dumpling slices were unfortunately dry and not hot. The Carlsbad meat pot and the spaetzle were impeccable. The pancake was served cold as it was wrapped in a large scoop of vanilla ice cream! The service was very friendly!

Very classy restaurant. The beer garden is very nice. Very classy food with a starter that you don't have to order.. Baguette with dips.. Very tasty. The food... I had boehmertopf... Very tasty and a lot. It was fun... Something very special 🤗🤗🤗

Well prepared food, unfortunately my food was almost not seasoned at all.

I was there yesterday and was specifically looking for Czech cuisine because I'm from the Czech Republic. It's sad that they call it Czech cuisine. Anyone who knows Czech cuisine can definitely agree with me. And I expect at least Czech service from a Czech restaurant.

The Böhmerwald restaurant is located in a historic building and has an exceptionally beautiful ambience. I ate a "Karlovy Vary pot" with delicious fried potatoes and a mixed salad. The dessert was vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries and a cream topping. The food was very tasty, The only thing that bothered me was the smell in the restaurant, maybe that's because of the old building.

Have you ever taken a look behind the bar? Given the prices, I think it's really cheeky to use Cola, Fata, Sprite from the discounter "Freew***". Then you should adjust the prices to the value of the goods, since most of the profit is generated from drinks anyway. It's a shame, otherwise it's a really great restaurant, but if you want to be at the top, you can't save money when it comes to "mixing" in my opinion.

Lekka, great service, not cheap

Lauwarm, hochpreisig, grauer Durchschnitt Maximal zweitklassig, eher drittklassig. Geschmacklich in Ordnung, aber alles andere als herausragend. Vier von sechs Gerichten wurden warm serviert, die Beilagen extrem überschaubar (und teilweise kalt), die Teller nicht vorgewärmt, ein Besteckset war nicht sauber, ein Glas kam offensichtlich dreckig aus dem Geschirrspüler auf den Tisch, ein anderes mit gesplittertem Rand. Die Ankündigung des Senior Chefs, dass „das Restaurant voll ist, das Personal viel zu tun hat und wir es beim nächsten Mal besser machen“, ist mit Blick auf eine Rechnung in Höhe von 250,-€ blanker Hohn und arroganter Sprech. Danke, aber ich habe kein Interesse an einem Wiedersehen.

Erstklassiges Restaurant mit stilvollem Ambiente, sehr guter Küche mit leckeren, stehts frischen Gerichten und einem tollen, immer freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service! Es ist immer wieder eine Freude und ein Erlebnis hier essen zu gehen!

Leckeres Essen, kaum Wartezeit trotz Fiertage, super Personal und Chef!

Mein Mann und ich sind seit Jahren Stammkunden und dieses aus gutem Grund :-) Wunderschöne Location im ehemaligen Offizierskasino (top Biergarten), aufmerksamer Service, leckeres Essen und super gelegen direkt am Glacis. Eine Runde um Minden drehen und dann dort essen- perfekt.

Gutes tschechisches Essen, nette Bedienung. Einige von uns fanden das Lamm zu durch, ich hatte ein traditionelles tschechisches Gericht was sehr lecker war.

Schönes Restaurant und super Essen und Service

Wir waren am 02.12.23 um 12:00 Uhr mit sechs Leuten im Böhmerwald Restaurant. Ich war das erste Mal im Böhmerwald und war von den Räumlichkeiten und dem Weihnachtsbaum sehr beeindruckt. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und zu unserem Tisch geführt. Wir bestellten zum Mittagsmenü unterschiedliche Speisen und Getränke. Vorweg gab es Bargett mit Dipp. Eine sehr leckere Pilzsuppe, mit sehr viel Einlage gab es als Vorsuppe. Auch das Hauptgericht hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Mitarbeiterinnen im Service sind extrem freundlich, zuvorkommend und unaufdringlich Alle Gerichte wurden zeitgleich an den Tisch gebracht. Die zum Mittagsmenü angeboten Gerichte sind nach meiner Meinung, sehr preiswert und absolut zu empfehlen. Ich sage dem Team vom Böhmerwald Restaurant Danke und werde das Restaurant gerne weiterempfehlen!

Der Böhmerwald ist immer einen Besuch wert. Die Speisekarte bietet eine große Auswahl, die einem die Entscheidung schwer macht. Aber egal für was man sich entscheidet, die Gerichte sind immer super lecker! Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommen und immer präsent. Man fühlt sich wohl und gut betreut. Das Ambiente in den hohen Räumen ist besonders und die Einrichtung sehr geschmackvoll integriert. Ein echtes WOW, wenn man das Haus betritt. Der Böhmerwald ist eine absolute Bereicherung für Mindens Gastronomie. Top?

Wir waren zu einem Geburtstagessen eingeladen, der Empfang war sehr nett und das Ambiente sehr schön. Der Service war jederzeit aufmerksam und das Essen wurde sehr gut serviert. Es war auch sehr lecker und heiß. Ich trinke auch gerne guten Kaffee, den ich hier auch gefunden habe. Also, hier kann man gut einen Geburtstag feiern. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren zum Weihnachtsessen mit dem Unternehmen hier. Zum Preis kann ich also nichts sagen, aber das Essen war großartig. Das Ambiente und die Lage sind auch sehr gut, lediglich Parken ist ggf. etwas umständlich, da nur wenige Parkplätze direkt am Haus vorhanden sind.

Es wurde Lachs gereicht, der noch gefroren war auf dem Teller. Kann passieren, sollte aber nicht. Muss schon echt viel schief laufen in der Küche um so etwas zu Stande zu bringen. Essen ist ok aber unterm Strich auch nichts besonderes. Portionen sehr überschaubar. Günstig ist das ganze auch nicht

Gutbürgerliche Küche qualitativ in Ordnung. Gemüse war mir persönlich zu roh und völlig ohne Gewürz.

650km Anreise haben sich wieder gelohnt. Tolle Küche, bester Service. Aufmerksames Personal..Danke das ich Gast seien durfte.

Leider wurden sowohl Vorspeise als auch Dessert zunächst vergessen. Die Bedienung hat sich vielmals entschuldigt, aber die Kommunikation zwischen Service + Küche scheint nicht zu funktionieren. Als "Wiedergutmachung" gab es auf meinen Wunsch frische Minze - leider in mäßig heißem Wasser, also ohne Aroma. Dieser Abend war für mich leider kein Genuss und läd nicht zum Wiederkommen ein.

Wie immer sehr lecker und ein sehr zuvorkommend Service.Wir gehen dort sehr gerne hin.

Ein sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant. Die Speisen waren sehr lecker. Die Kartoffelsuppe würde ich als vorzüglich beschreiben. Sehr angenehmes Ambiente. Die Bedienung war höflich und zuvorkommend. Insgesamt auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.
