Restaurant Böhmerwald in Minden

Lange nicht so geschmacklos Essen gehabt, hatte mich auf "die Perle der Kochkunst" gefreut das Fleisch faserig und trocken, Gewürze Fehlanzeige, böhmische Knödel und Gemüse fad und geschmacklos. Auch das "Knoblauchsüppchen" vorweg eine einzige fette Enttäuschung, klare Brühe mit jeder Menge Frühlingszwiebeln, die noch nicht mal angeschmutzt waren, und dafür € 7,90. Nee, nie wieder. Hier scheint der Kochlehrling Küchenchef zu sein.

Tolles Ambiente in einer Gründerzeitvilla. Eingang lange, steile Treppe mit Treppenlift. Toiletten im Erdgeschoss. Essen echt lecker und die Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Gerne nochmals wieder auf böhmische Art verwöhnt zu werden.

Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir haben im kleinen Familienkreis einen besonderen Abend erlebt! Das Ambiente stimmt, die Gastgeber von Anfang bis Ende nett und auf Zack und das Essen war wunderbar! Mit den Herausforderungen im Umgang mit meiner älteren Mutter ging die grandiose Bedienung super professionell um- großes Kompliment! Ein ganz großes Dankeschön!

Schon die Begrüßung war freundlich, angenehm und ließ einen schönen Abend erwarten. Dieser zuvorkommende und äußerst aufmerksame Service begleitete uns den gesamten Abend. Wir waren zu viert und haben alle Filetsteaks in drei unterschiedlichen Garstufen und mit variierenden Beilagen bestell. Jedes Steak kam mit der perfekten Garstufe auf den Tisch und auch die Abwandlungen, sowie Sonderwünsche wurden berücksichtigt. Die Qualität der Speisen war Extraklasse, Steaks so zart und saftig, dass man kaum ein Messer benötigte. Der Palatschinken, mit reichlich frischen Früchten, war dann der krönende Abschluss eines wunderbaren Abends!

Die Lokalität in einem alten Offizierskasino ist einfach einmalig. Essen vorzüglich und der Service überragend.

Der ICE 0815 fährt heute statt von Gleis zwei von Gleis 17 – mit 50 Minuten Verspätung. Umsteigen in den RE34 ist nicht möglich, da dieser heute entfällt. Sie können aber den RE4711 nehmen, der heute statt von Gleis zwei von Gleis sieben voraussichtlich mit 45-minütiger Verspätung abfährt. „Abwechslung ist die Würze des Lebens“, denke ich mir, während ich mich vom blutverschmierten Gesicht des Zugbegleiters erhebe. Selbiges gilt selbstverständlich auch fürs Essen. Der Böhmerwald in Minden ist hierbei allerwärmstens zu empfehlen – wie man generell der böhmischen Küche öfter mal zusprechen sollte. Und weil es mir so gut geschmeckt hat und auch sehr gefallen hat, habe ich das Lokal gleich zweimal an aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen besucht. (Maximum Genuss!) Das Ambiente ist traumhaft: Das alte Gebäude, das wohl einst als Offizierskasino genutzt wurde, ist in Topzustand und innen modern – aber nicht auf eine Art und Weise, dass der alte Charme verloren geht. Die Kartoffel-Pilzsuppe ist eine Köstlichkeit und schmeckt wie eine Kindheitserinnerung. Absolutes Comfort Food. Der Svicková (jeder, der das Gericht nicht kennt, sollte keine Erlaubnis haben, bei Google Restaurantbewertungen abzugeben) war in Ordnung. Über tschechisches Bier muss ich hier kein Wort verlieren, da ich dies als bekannt voraussetzen möchte. Am zweiten Tag habe ich einen Pressburger Schweinebraten gegessen, der wirklich delikat war – ungewöhnlich, mit leichtem Dillgeschmack. Auch der Slivovitz war lecker und wurde in ausreichender Menge vom freundlichen Personal flott gebracht, stets in Schluckweite. So ein lukullischer Imbiss stärkt für die nächste Bahnfahrt und macht Lust auf ein Wiedersehen.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Wartezeit war gut, sehr freundliches und flottes Personal.

Sehr aufmerksame Bedienung, tolles böhmisches Essen, allerdings wirklich reichlich, für den Riesenhunger geeignet . Auch das tschechische Dunkelbier ist ein Genuss. Vorweg gibt's Brot mit Dips und hinterher Marillenlikör, diese Zugaben haben viele Restaurants ja leider abgeschafft. Die Architektur in dem schlossähnlichen Gebäude ist ebenfalls sehenswert.

Wir waren zu viert hier zum Abendessen. Die Location hat schon ein besonderes Flair. Unser reservierter Tisch war frei und die Getränke wurden auch zügig aufgenommen . Wir hatten uns dann für unterschiedliche Vorspeisen entschieden und als kleiner Gruß kam vorher noch sehr leckeres frisches Baguette mit Quark und scharfer Paste, sehr lecker. Die Vorspeisen kamen sehr schnell und waren ebenfalls lecker und frisch. Auf den Hauptgang haben wir dann etwas gewartet aber das Haus war auch sehr gut besucht und es war im Rahmen. Leider war eines der Essen etwas kalt aber zurück geben wollten wir es auch nicht . Die Hauptspeisen waren ebenfalls lecker . Mein Essen war leider nicht so 100%tig mein Geschmack aber dafür kann die Küche nichts . Das ist eben so wenn man etwas unbekanntes probiert. Insgesamt waren wir aber wirklich zufrieden . Es hat sich gelohnt und wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen. Fazit Ambiente; historisch und schön Service : sehr freundlich und jederzeit mit einem Auge für die Gäste. Wir sind in Minden im Urlaub, ich kann Falle fünf Sterne geben, es war das beste Restaurant am Ort, sehr freundlicher Service das Essen sehr geschmackvoll eine 100-prozentige weiter Empfehlung

Essen war okay,aber auch nicht mehr. Dessert hat mir gar nicht geschmeckt. Ein warmer Pfannkuchen,der nicht frisch gemacht war, wurde mit Vanilleeis abgedeckt. Somit war auch der Pfannkuchen kalt und klitschig. Aber was am meisten genervt hat,war das ständige Kommen und Gehen von Gästen. Dadurch fehlte die Silvesterstimmung. Alles eher hektisch. Auch mit der Kasse gab es Probleme. Wir haben zu Hause gemerkt,dass wir 25 Euro zuviel gezahlt haben.

Wir hatten für heute einen Tisch reserviert, den wir aus gesundheitlichen Gründen absagen mussten. Haben gefragt, ob wir stattdessen Essen zum Abholen bestellen können. Das war überhaupt kein Problem. Wir hatten alle unterschiedliche Sachen und Suppen vorweg und es war einfach köstlich. Die Suppen, die Gerichte, alles so lecker und sehr reichlich. Einfach toll! Danke, für die Flexibilität- so wurde es doch noch zu einem tollen Mittagessen. Danke!!

Ich habe zwar nur einen Gutschein geholt, wurde aber trotz enormen kundenaufkommens prompt, freundlich und zügig bedient. Das Essen, dass an mir vorbei getragen wurde, sah sehr lecker aus. Mehr kann ich dazu nicht sagen.

Das Ambiente, Essen und Bedienung war gut. Hatte mir vorher im Netz die Speisekarte angesehen, was ich wohl Essen möchte, nebenher auch die Preise gesehen. An dem Abend, als wir Essen waren und dann abgerechnet wurde, war das Gericht mal eben 1,50 € teurer. Man sollte die Speisekarte rechtzeitig mit den neuen Preisen einstellen. Ich fand es hinterher dem Kunden gegenüber unfähr. Über Preise kann man streiten, aber bitte nicht so. Schade, das sorgt für Irritation.

The ambiance of this restaurant is truly unique and very stylishly furnished. We were there with a group of 14 people (we had reserved in advance) and dined à la carte. Besides classic German dishes, the menu offers numerous Bohemian specialties. The food was excellent. The exceptionally good service was remarkable; the staff repeatedly and at just the right intervals asked if we needed anything else (even the owner himself). The kitchen was also clearly perfectly organized, as we didn't experience any long waits for our large group. All in all, a perfect evening, which probably explains why it was so busy on a Sunday evening. So: a clear recommendation and reservations are a must.

I had an Argentinian rump steak with bacon potatoes; it was cooked to perfection and ideally seasoned. The food arrived relatively quickly, and the salad as a starter was very pleasant.

This was our first time in the Bohemian Forest and we were absolutely thrilled. The ambiance was fantastic (the acoustics were probably a bit loud due to the high ceilings), friendly and attentive service, and the food was delicious. Highly recommended!

A great restaurant with an impressive history. Very stylishly decorated. Unfortunately, the waiters seemed very hectic and overwhelmed. The food for four people arrived late, and one dish was unfortunately incorrect. However, it was promptly rectified. The food itself was okay, but nothing special. Unfortunately, the mushrooms came out of a can. A shame, given the prices. Conversation was limited due to the high noise level (difficult for people with hearing impairments or hearing aids).

I'm deducting one star because I expect a restaurant in this price range to serve main courses for three people at the same time, not with a 10-minute time difference. Great ambiance, terrible service. I asked the waiter why it was taking so long to wipe down and clear the table. The waiter himself said they were understaffed and it was pure chaos today. As I told the waiter: My 100km round trip was an absolute flop. I've never had such a bad rump steak. And the portion wasn't worth the price. As has been mentioned many times here, the flying ants are very annoying, never experienced anything like that. Absolutely not recommended

A restaurant that's exactly what we like. Everything was great. In the summer, you can sit outside, just like in a park. The food is great, the service is excellent. Dogs are allowed in upon request.

The interior can be reached via stairs from the terrace or from the main entrance. There is also a lift system for people with limited mobility. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant. We were here for a birthday dinner, on the recommendation of my wife, who was relying on someone else's judgment, we were here with 7 people, all invited by her. Since our other friends were invited and are all well behaved, they also praised the food, they probably didn't want to offend my wife and they didn't want to question her recommendation... Now to my assessment, I would like to say in advance that I have already been to many restaurants all over Germany and abroad (including through previous assembly work), and at home we also prepare a lot of our own food and often have guests, our motto: Only the best comes to the table, as fresh as possible and from the region - so I know what I'm talking about: What was/is positive here is above all the ambience. The only thing that comes to mind was the pork fillet from my dish, which was seasoned too blandly and wasn't really cooked through. We had ordered a table and our spontaneous request for a change of seating in the beer garden was promptly granted. That’s it for the positives! My dish, the pork fillet, was a children's or senior's plate, far too little for the money and for an adult. A handful of fried potatoes and a handful of vegetables, devoid of any taste, bland - salt and low in spices, and on top of that no salt and pepper on the table (after all, 7 people!), given the lack of attention from the staff, the food would have been cold anyway if you had ordered salt and pepper... Only one of our friends also commented on the "quantity" with latent suggestions, such as "the napkin dumpling tastes like napkins..." That alone is actually enough, but there's more: the service was confusing and disorganized, and people often only responded after repeated requests. Right from the start we had table neighbors with more than 4 legs, wasps, blowflies and ants, something we had never experienced in any other beer garden before. At first the wasps crawled around in the glass until we all put beer mats on it. If it had just been a species of insect, I wouldn't have even mentioned it. If you have a beer garden, you should take care of something like this as a restaurant, especially since it is in the upper price range - research the cause, for example, you don't have to destroy a wasp's nest straight away, you can also relocate it. Ants, that can happen, but blowflies in and on food in large numbers is not possible. Once and never again.

The 3 stars are for the main course. Service and ambiance were superb. What a beautiful house, what a beautiful dining room, white tablecloths, cloth napkins, top-notch service. But: 1. The freshly tapped beer wasn't well chilled. 2. The Bohemian Forest stew: spaetzle from a packet, mushrooms from a can/jar, and the sauce was bland and probably powdered. I can cook that myself; I don't need to go to such a nice restaurant. Admittedly, the prices are moderate, which you should have guessed. It was still a lovely evening.

A few days ago I was in Minden, in the restaurant Böhmerwald, it is located on Königstrasse. In the imposing building you can easily dine alone or with your guests. The restaurant specializes in traditional Bohemian cuisine. I ordered the “Karlsbader Topf” and for dessert “vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries and whipped cream”. I really enjoyed the food. I've also eaten "Tafelspitz" once and I really enjoyed it. I can highly recommend the restaurant "Böhmerwald".

We were there for lunch and it was fine. But the tables weren't very clean. Not really the cutlery either. The service was very friendly so far, but also seemed a bit sleepy and the beer was definitely not chilled. The food itself was tasty, but my meat could have been a little more cooked.

Update after some time: Still very tasty and still very pleasant to eat and drink here. Here you can get very tasty food in a somewhat upscale atmosphere. The team is very friendly and everything goes smoothly. We always enjoy coming here.

A great experience at the Böhmerwald restaurant! The Böhmerwald restaurant not only offers a stylish ambience, but also cuisine that impresses with love and craftsmanship. As soon as you enter the large hall, you can feel the special atmosphere: a magnificent chandelier under the impressive domed vault gives the room an elegant touch. But the real highlight is the food. Each dish is prepared with great care and perfectly balanced. The spices are chosen so that each ingredient maintains its own place without overpowering the others - a true masterpiece. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, the meat was tender and juicy, and the vegetables were so deliciously prepared that every bite was a joy. Nothing seemed overloaded, and the portions were deliberately chosen - so perfectly balanced that you almost felt nostalgic when the enjoyment came to an end. The freshness and quality of the ingredients was particularly impressive. You could immediately tell that nothing came out of the bag - everything was cut by hand with love and freshly prepared. The kitchen deserves high praise because someone here knows his craft and brings this passion to the plate. Conclusion: A wonderful culinary experience in an equally impressive ambience. Anyone who appreciates good food with heart and skill has come to the right place in the Bohemian Forest. Keep it up!

Great food, great atmosphere...unfortunately the service doesn't match the great ambience. We waited 30 minutes to ask for dessert and when we asked, the kitchen was no longer ready to make dessert at 9:30 on a Friday evening. Well, for some counter employees, selfies behind the counter are more important than asking for more drinks after 30 minutes. The restaurant doesn't deserve this with this quality. Too bad.

It's a bit away from the center but still easy to reach on foot and if you sit outside you won't be disturbed by traffic. Minden is a city that has a lot to offer: the old town with the cathedral, the location on the Weser, the Mittelland Canal, and - not forgetting the gastronomy, which also includes the Böhmerwald restaurant. Here are all three good things to experience a wonderful day in Minden. All that's missing is that the mayor of Minden invites the visitor to the Böhmerwald restaurant for dinner. So then a day off in Minden would be perfect. Of course that is not the case, neither in Minden nor anywhere else. But in a city it is possible. There are four of all good things. “And where is that supposed to be?” some of you will ask yourself. Well there is no city here on the 🌎, but this HEAVENLY JERUSALEM. “Oh, now it’s getting biblical,” one or two people might say. That's true too. One thing is certain: death is sure to come. We were there for the first time and were immediately blown away by the atmosphere. Really nice restaurant inside and out! The service was very attentive and the food came really quickly. The beef tartare is prepared at the table by the waiter (you are asked if you want to make it yourself) and tasted fantastic. The main courses are really good quality! In addition to the fillet steak, which was perfect, we also had a pork dish. Some of the tastes were new to us but beautifully presented and delicious. The desserts, on the other hand, are not a revelation, but they are good. Reasonably priced. The portions are plentiful. You can absolutely recommend the restaurant.

I had the Bohemian Forest pot and thought it was a disaster The sauce consisted of a cream sauce with canned mushrooms and unseasoned pork. The fried potatoes were good and also the potato soup I don't have to go there again, which is a shame because the restaurant was already nice.

Very good! We were in a private room for a family celebration. We had a wonderful evening. The ambience was fantastic. The restaurant was very busy and the outside area was also well filled. There are many regulars. The food gets a 4+ from me Thank you for the lovely evening!

It's a shame...I would have liked to give a better rating. As a person with Czech roots and a lover of Bohemian cuisine, I was really happy to have found a restaurant here that specializes in exactly this cuisine. My expectations were correspondingly high and looking at the menu made my heart beat faster. But unfortunately I was rather disappointed in the end, but that was entirely due to the food. Because both the service and the ambience are great. You immediately feel welcome, the staff is very warm and professional and the ambience is elegant and rustic. Everything is stylishly furnished and invites you to linger. Big praise goes out to the entire team! But the quality of the food was unfortunately very disappointing. As a hobby chef who loves Bohemian cooking, I immediately noticed that 80% of the items were ready-made products, especially the sauces! The admittedly beautiful presentation doesn't help either. Let's start with the starter salad. This was fresh but unseasoned. The dressing came from the bottle/bag. The garlic soup in the supposedly Bohemian style lacked potatoes, bacon or smoked pork and grated cheese. There was far too much parsley in it and it was seasoned too lightly. I cook them better in 45 minutes. The sauce for the spaetzle was purely a bag product and not worthy of Bohemian cuisine. The napkin dumplings didn't taste like anything. The Prague ham was okay, but that was the only thing. The Bohemian soul was completely lost due to all the finished products. And this region in particular is predestined for its fresh cuisine, where cooking is still done with love and passion. The prices were quite high for that. That would be fine if it had at least been good. Anyone who has ever been to the Czech Republic will know what I mean. Good cuisine at relatively low prices. So, to get good Bohemian cuisine, I will continue to cook myself or have to travel far...perhaps my expectations were a bit too high; someone who has already visited countless restaurants with Bohemian cuisine may not be able to do otherwise. The three stars are for the really excellent service and the beautiful restaurant. Too bad

Unfortunately very inflexible. Had a voucher from the Corona period. There was no accommodation regarding the validity. Quote: you don't have to eat here. Too bad. I expected it to be great.

As always......great. The ambience is totally elegant and appealing. The tables are set with tablecloths and cloth servers. The food was, as always, delicious. The service was very nice. Always a highlight for me

For me the visit was a disappointment. I ate the "scoop". The meat was bland in taste. A piece of toast would have been more seasoned. The service was curt, but that was probably due to the two companies. The atmosphere...it's so loud in this "hall" that it's hard to have a conversation. Will not plan another visit there.

I was pleasantly surprised that there is also Czech beer and Czech cuisine here. Very tasty, very nice staff, highly recommend!

We always enjoy coming to the Bohemian Forest when we are in Minden. Our highlight on the map is Svickova. The service is also excellent every time.

Spectacular location, inside a kind of castle, attention to detail, customer care, I recommend a mixture of meat, very tender and tasty meat, really good
