Restaurant & Biergarten Caputh in Schwielowsee

A catastrophe... Only in the most dire of emergencies... This "snack restaurant" only excels at its exorbitant prices... 🤦🏼‍♂️... lots of frozen goods... little creatures were spotted... long wait times... Snack currywurst, etc., should be affordable at the campsite... the snack bar is actually part of it... it was separated. There are some really good restaurants in the town of Caputh❗️ Reviews from friends of the "big" boss.... Customer reviews don't seem to be of any interest... they're trying to sell the quality of the snack bar at a high price.

It's actually very nice there, the food tastes very good, but I think they could try to adjust the prices a bit.

We stopped in for dinner on Sunday on our way back from the Baltic Sea. The food was really good 😋 We also saw Roger briefly, but unfortunately, the two boys, Max and Willi, weren't there...😉 One small glitch: we had to wait a long time for drinks at the beginning 😕 (over half an hour) even though the beer garden wasn't even half full...

Apart from the ambiance in the middle of the campsite, it's really great. We simply sat outside and were served not long after. The prices are quite reasonable, but there's also something for those on a smaller budget – like the bean soup or the chickpea and sweet potato curry. I had this curry, and it was definitely tasty (and filling for just under €10). The tarte flambée was also good. The salad with corn-fed chicken was also good, but at almost €20, it was quite expensive. I highly recommend it for people who don't care so much about the ambiance (at least outside).

Good restaurant on the campsite

The food was simply amazing... Highly recommended, the garlic soup and the beef Himmelburger. First and foremost, praise goes to the kitchen!!! Service was sometimes bad, but also sometimes good. The food couldn't be improved... The rest could definitely be improved 😊😉

Our server was unfortunately rather absent. I ordered a small fish soup, but got a large one. When I asked, she said it was the small one. However, we were billed for the large soup. There was no bill for it. We paid first, but then recalculated because it seemed like so much, so we went back. Unfortunately, she wasn't professional there either; she tried to talk her way out of it, no apology, nothing. A colleague then gave us the difference. It's actually a nice place to sit, but after this incident, we probably won't go there again.

The food was excellent. Beautifully presented and delicious. The surroundings at the campsite were also beautiful. The service was unfortunately abysmal: the bill was incorrect, no one asked for more drinks (even though the glasses were long empty), and the waitress had a hard time understanding our order. The uneaten food, half a tarte flambée, was folded up in front of us with bare hands and stuffed into a small container. It's a shame, we won't eat it like that again.

Unfortunately, I can't rate the food because I didn't get any. After a two-hour wait, the "waiter" laughed in our faces and told us that the kitchen was closing and we couldn't get anything else. That's a pretty inconvenient evening in Caputh without a car, so our vacation started with a hungry night after a 13-hour drive. The worst part, however, was the arrogance and indifference of the "waiter." Even when we ordered drinks, he brought us the wrong drinks, and when we confronted him about it, he just slapped a receipt on the table and left. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone with low blood pressure or a slow heart rate, but anyone looking forward to spending a nice evening with family should definitely look elsewhere. Even if the food turns out to be delicious, it's not worth it!

We ate here last year, and everything from the service to the food was great. Because of our positive experiences, we went back full of anticipation. This time, however, we were totally disappointed. The food was good again, but the service was completely overwhelmed by a few people. We weren't even close to finishing our starter when the main course was brought to us, which, of course, was cold by the time we'd finished our soup. The starter plates weren't cleared away either. When the plates were cleared, we were asked if everything was OK, and the comment that the food was cold was met with a roll of the eyes. It wasn't just us; there was something wrong with the service at almost every table. At a restaurant with these prices, I expect a bit more professionalism.

Opening hours in September are different than those listed on Google. I ate there in the summer and, as always, it was delicious. There are plenty of photos of the delicious delicacies, so I'll just share the essentials. The opening hours have changed for September.

We ate at Himmelreich today, the food was really good 👍 keep it up, very nice service who also asks if everything is OK, we can recommend it at any time, we will definitely come back, the burger is just great

I'm not sure if it's 3 or 4 stars. But since I think the price of the food is high, I get the 3 (entrecote with fennel about 40€) The ambience is nice. The food was okay, for the price it would have been nice if the cooking point was right. In my opinion, the service could have responded better to this fact (the meat was still juicy, so I didn't let it go back). Instead of making it right (it doesn't matter how, small thing on the house, discount,...) the service took care to find out why it happened and then explained to me that it was discussed with the employee (this is of course an internal measure that is probably justified, but nothing that helps me as a customer, I also found the situation quite unpleasant because of it, professional is different. Mistakes can happen, the fact that you then look for the culprit somehow contradicts my standards of error culture and as already said, it simply doesn't help me as a customer at all)

The service and the atmosphere were really good. We came there for coffee. There was only one kind of cake, and I think it was also frozen, like thawed cherry cake with crumb topping, while other dishes were priced around €20-40. I would have preferred at least two kinds of cake, or isn't that what campers do? But whatever, I definitely won't be coming back for a coffee break.

I can't even begin to understand the hype surrounding the "beer garden," the campsite, and its protagonists. We booked a table for dinner in the beer garden for 6 adults and one child. We were seated right by the entrance, which was extremely unpleasant during peak hours, as the following guests all had to wait to be seated. The conditions are extremely arrogant, just like the operators themselves. We were literally sitting over a mountain of cigarette butts. When we asked if we could have another table, we were told arrogantly that they were fully booked. The cigarette butt issue was met with a mere shrug. Beyond that, I can't understand how anyone could even camp at this site. It's nothing but dust, sand, and garbage-strewn corners. In my opinion, the site has nothing attractive… maybe the proximity to the water… luckily, we were only there for dinner, which was basically OK, but nothing special… it was an attempt that failed, in our opinion… DEMAX is more show than substance…

You should urgently update the opening times on your homepage. Today (Tuesday) we took the boat from Potsdam to Caputh and took the ferry over to you. A rude awakening on site...open from 5 p.m. Very unfortunate!

Then we want to boost Willi and Maxi's mood. You're doing a super good job. The food is very tasty and good. The campsite is beautiful and well maintained. Keep it up.

Actually everything is chic, BUT to charge 19.90 euros for chanterelles as a side dish is outrageous. 😔. Hence the bad rating for the food.

Mega summer festival from Rewe Golm You guys are the best

We are now in the kingdom of heaven for the second time, in 2023 and right now. The parking space has changed a little, lots of new tiny houses are being built, it's a shame, these are places that the campers are missing The beer garden in Himmelreich makes really good food. The only huge drawback is that I don't know if Maximilian has ever tried eating in his restaurant for 8 days in a row. I would love to come eat with you every day, but there is just far too little choice. Burgers or steak every day aren't enough. As I said, everything Maximilian offers is delicious. But there's just not enough choice for long-term guests. Nevertheless, we will come back because everyone is really nice and friendly. The only downside is the much too large houseboat, which has been standing right in front of our parking space since the beginning of the year and which limits the view because half of the lake cannot be seen. And the owner of the houseboat is also unfriendly, when I and my wife addressed him in a friendly way, he doesn't need to answer, he doesn't even pay attention to us and doesn't even look at us. However, I can unreservedly recommend the Himmelreich if you value (soon) two restaurants and can do without a small corner shop that offers groceries and camping supplies or something like that.

We were here yesterday at the end of a fantastic bike tour. We celebrated a good friend's birthday here. The team really made an effort and prepared everything well and decorated it discreetly. Everyone was helpful and very friendly. You feel really looked after there. The food tasted really good. Four-legged friends welcome. It was a thoroughly well-rounded affair. Thank you for this, dear team.

What is particularly noticeable is the great staff, very organized and very friendly. Always a nice helllooooooo when ordering. We, my partner and I recommend the great herring with a great salad. Absolute recommendation from us. Toilets very clean. Special atmosphere during the public viewing, a big thank you to the team. You helped make the football experience unforgettable. Thank you very much .

An excellent campsite. You can feel very comfortable there. We've been there many times, even before the TV started. Always worth a trip. Keep it up.

As non-campers, we went to the Restaurant & Beer Garden Caputh because of the good reviews. We have rarely eaten so well. The portions were lovingly prepared and tasted much higher than you would expect from a campsite. We can only recommend the restaurant and will stop by again on our next vacation. We ate the housewife-style matjes and napkin dumplings with mushroom goulash.

Great restaurant with great service and very tasty food. We will be back.

We came here for lunch because we wanted to check out the campsite for a possible short trip. Preparations for the Pentecost festival were currently underway in the beer garden, so people were working in the immediate vicinity, but that didn't cause any problems. The dishes served were good (entrecote with a side salad as well as surf & turf matjes + brawn with a side salad + fried potatoes). Note: The fried potatoes are heavily seasoned and therefore not to everyone's taste. Therefore 1 star deducted here. The portions were sufficiently large. The espresso was very tasty (great roast) The service was very friendly and attentive. So we'd love to come back.

The unexpected highlight of our bike tour: the food. The burger was so convincing to someone who said “I actually don’t like burgers” that we will probably eat there again. My schnitzel was good, the fried potatoes were awesome. Also a nice location, cold drinks and top service. The toilets very clean. We can't say anything about the campsite, we'll stay somewhere else. Regarding the beer garden: 5 stars or more.

Were here over Easter 2024. Table reserved for 6 p.m. on Sunday. Got a table 30 minutes later. Drinks ordered and received promptly. Waited 90 minutes to order food. After an acceptable waiting time, the food arrived lukewarm. Terrible. I took it back and left. Unfortunately that was my last appearance here. There is also no excuse for the fact that the store was full. Totally disappointing for a location that is shown on TV.

First of all, I would like to wish Christian and his team and of course the entire team from Heaven a happy new year. now a little conclusion Gastronomy; Food very good, service very good, ambience very good, I don't know how he does it but no matter when and how he is always friendly and willing to talk, a big THANK YOU for that Campsite; friendly welcome, good pitches and what is very important "Willy" and his team try their best to do everything for the campers, for example: the expansion of the sanitary facilities with shower and toilet. I just say all respect for what was created there. Coming back? ; YES of course, we look forward to being able to annoy you again this year and at least two or three times a year :) Greetings Renè

Great restaurant, service & cuisine wonderful

The food was good, the service was top. The service was attentive and really accommodating. We will be back definitely. The only downer is that for all the meals we have ordered so far, the side dishes have been charged extra. It's okay that the fries are charged extra for the Himmelburger. But I was very surprised that the dumplings and red cabbage were charged extra for the goulash.

Sehr freundliches Personal und der Burger war echt lecker.

Super freundlich und locker. Preislich auch okay, Essen war auch guter Durchschnitt.

Wir waren hier, weil DJ Manuel Prothmann vom Radio Potsdam aufgelegt hat. War super und vorallem für Klein und Groß, für Alt und Jung. Ein toller Abend bei super Wetter.

Obwohl der Campingplatz gut belegt ist, kann man es sich anscheinend leisten Montag‘s einen Ruhetag einzulegen. Leider gibt es weder am Platz noch in der Nähe eine Möglichkeit Lebensmittel einzukaufen. Das Personal gibt sich zwar Mühe, aber wer aus dem Fach kommt, merkt sehr schnell, daß das Personal ungelernt ist. Das Essen ist ok. Vielleicht sollte der Chef des Restaurant mal darüber nachdenken, statt des Ruhetages, einen Tag mit eingeschränkten Services einzuführen.

Am Sam., den 2.9.23 sehrr toller Open Air Abend coole Musik und sehr viel getanzt und Spaß gehabt😀😀wir kommen bald wieder...

Sehr positiv hat uns die die Speisekarte und das Essen gefallen. Service mit leichten Abstrichen, aber doch viel besser als erwartet. Danke an die Küche, beide Salate waren gut angerichtet und schmackhaft. (Cesar’s und RoteBeeteBlattsalat mit Garnelen, die zwar gewöhnungsbedürftig aussahen im Aschemantel, aber gut) Tip: Eurer HausmarkeBier sollte auch in entsprechenden Gläsern serviert werden und nicht in Gläsern einer „Allerweltsbrauerei“

Schade, dass es nur 5 Sterne gibt. Hätte gerne das doppelte gegeben. Der Service war mega freundlich und auch echt auf zack. Das essen merkte man, dass es frisch zubereitet wurde, denn es kam noch so heiss am tisch an, dass man erstmal pusten musste. Ich persönlich hatte die schwarzen Linguine mit einem Lachsfilet... Was soll ich sagen, es war ein Gedicht! Die Linguine waren direkt auf den Punkt, genauso wie der Lachs, dieser war ultra saftig! Die Soße dazu hat alles abgerundet und es war mega lecker. Dazu ein Himmlisch Helles und der Abend war perfekt!

Alles tiptop! Schnitzel war einfach nur perfekt. Waren mit dem Motorrad da und wurden gleich empfangen. Immer wieder gerne würden wir dort hinfahren.

Wir haben hier an unserem letzten Tag gespeist. Es war kein freier Tisch mehr und uns wurde extra einer hergerichtet. Der Service war freundlich und das Ambiente für einen Campingplatz etwas gehoben. Der Stuhl vom Biergarten war nicht unbequem (wie hier ein Gast schrieb). Was erwartet man von einem Biergarten? Man kann für sein zartes Gesäß nach einem Sitzkissen fragen 😉 Die Speisen waren geschmacklich super und auch ausreichend. Empfehlenswert...

Sehr gemüticher Biergarten mit sehr netten Kellnern incl. Autogramm. Kommen gern wieder mit Weiterempfehlung. 👍 Dankeschön 😀

Bis auf Kleinigkeiten fanden wir es richtig gut. Super freundliches Personal und das Essen war lecker. Preisleistung völlig i.O. Unsere Anmerkung, dass das Fleisch nen Ticken zu weit war, wurde offen aufgenommen. Einen Stern beim Ambiente haben wir abgezogen, weil die Toilette bei den Damen auf den 2. Blick doch nen bissel Aufhübschen vertragen könnte. (Spiegelrahmen abgeplatzt, Wegweiser Blätter hinter Scheibe). Und im Himmelreich fehlt die gute Brause -Himmelspforte- ☺️

Mein Mann und ich kannten das Himmelreich von DMAX und waren immer neidisch ,was für gut aussehendes essen dort aufgetischt wurde :-) deswegen wollten wir unbedingt an unserem heutigen Hochzeitstag das Retauraurant ausprobieren ,ich bin selber gelernte Köchin und kann nur sagen ,ein unglaublich grosses Kompliment an den Koch und natürlich dem restlichen Küchen Personal die Qualität dieses Essens war ausgesprochen hoch und unfassbar gut verarbeitet ,ich kann mich nicht erinnern das letzte mal ( ausser zuhause grins ) so gut gegessen zu haben. Sowas muss wertgeschätzt werden !!!! ♡Die Bedienung war auch unglaublich liebevoll,verständnisvoll ,ruhig, witzig ein tolles Team was hier zusammenarbeitet...Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und bedanken uns für dieses tolle Geschmacks Erlebnis :-) unser Essen war jeweils ein Entrekote' mit sehr guten Bratkartoffeln und einem Salat zum Träumen dazu ♡

Wir sind gestern im Himmelreich angekommen und haben gleich am Abend im Restaurant gegessen. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir zwei Erwachsene drei Kinder waren alle zufrieden. Gerne gehen wir dort nochmals Essen.

Schnelle Zubereitung, faire Preise und alles super geschmeckt. Pommes knusprig und Currywurst tadellos. Ausreichend Sitzplätze und diese auch Sonnen geschützt. Gab sogar noch Pommes geschenkt, bevor diese entsorgt worden wären. Alles in allem einen Abstecher wert.

Wir waren während unseres Caputh-Urlaubs zweimal im "Himmelreich" mittags essen. Sehr freundliches Servicepersonal. Wir durften schon eine halbe Stunde vor der Öffnung Platz nehmen und erhielten schon unsere Getränke. Die Wartezeit auf das Essen war absolut in Ordnung (max. 30 Minuten). Das Essen war absolute Spitze, wir hätten das für einen Biergarten auf einem Campingplatz nicht erwartet. Noch nie vorher so leckere Sülze mit Bratkartoffeln gegessen. Der Teller war so toll hergerichtet, als wäre er von einem Sternekoch angerichtet worden. Wir waren begeistert und haben das "Himmelreich" den Vermietern unserer Ferienwohnung empfohlen.

Tolles Essen, mega Ambiente, tolle Leute, alles was man sich wünscht! :)

Wir sind spontan mit dem Boot von Waren Müritz aus Richtung Berlin gestartet. Aufgrund dessen, dass wir riesen Fans vom Himmelreich sind haben wir uns gewagt einen Abstecher dort hin zu machen. Abends im Reataurant super Herzlich empfangen worden. Sehr leckere Getränke, super Essen. Und eine unglaublich tolle und nette Bedienung. Die Atmosphäre passte ebenfalls. Wir sind so sehr begeistert, dass wir am liebsten geblieben wären. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder. Top Leistung. 5****

Zu Besuch im Biergarten Himmelreich👍 Schnitzel mit Pfifferlinge und Bratkartoffeln, geschmacklich und vom Anrichten SPITZE🤩 alles frisch, alles lecker👍 Wir haben schön draußen gesessen und großen Schirmen, das Flair war toll und der Biergarten ist ein wirklicher Geheimtipp, nicht nur für Camper, auch für Reisende an Havel und Schwilowsee😎 Abzüge in der Gesamtpunktzahl machen die Kellner, welche eine hochnäsigen und belehrenden Eindruck vermitteln. Bei den Kindermenü‘s „Pommes mit Ketchup/ Majo“ sollte preislich klar strukturiert sein, dass Ketchup und Majo extra kostet!!! Das geht nicht aus der Karte hervor, erst auf dem Kassenbon tauchen dann die „Extrakosten“ auf.. Alles in allem 4 von 5 Sternen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Weiter so 👍

Jeden möglichen Abend im Urlaub dort gewesen... Service hatte Freude an seinem Job und war auf Zack. Rundum eine freundliche Bedienung. In der Speisekarte war für jeden was dabei. Besonders schön, dass es für die Kinder Mal mehr Auswahl gibt als immer nur Pommes oder Nuggets. Und das was einen dann serviert wird, einfach köstlich. Gutes Essen bei nettem Service in einer schönen Location. Immer wieder gerne.

Friendly service, food with love, perfect for couple, family and also for alone. Stand middle of camping place, but food is great. Came this place several times since its way too good. They are planning to renovate their showers to spa. I would come def again.
