This visit was long overdue—planned, but only thwarted by a lack of tables, meaning a table should have been reserved in advance. We sat optimistically in the beer garden, in the far suburbs, with glorious sunshine until 6:30 p.m.—interrupted by an arctic high, but fortunately with moderate winds. The interplay of service, cuisine, and ambiance is well-balanced here. The food was delicious, though not a landslide, and the prices for the product were typically high. The service was very attentive and informative—the backbone of a good restaurant! The academy is scheduled to close in the second quarter of 2026 after 45 years—sad, but perhaps Celle needs another sushi-ramen barbershop. We'll see.

Raw roulade. I highly recommend it. It was a really great experience. Make a reservation, you can't go there spontaneously.

Very good Celler raw roulade, eaten with bread. I could have had it with fried potatoes yesterday, but it was too much for me. I hope this restaurant stays with us for a long time 👍 Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo because I immediately dived into my food.

Overall, unfortunately, it was just average. Perhaps it was just my expectations. I thought the Beer Academy would at least have a large selection of different beers. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I had beef liver, which was well-fried. The mashed potatoes were okay, and the onions with chili were quite good. My colleagues were very enthusiastic about the raw roulade.

Very delicious food. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice and cozy. We didn't have a reservation, but they made a special spot for us. We will definitely be back.

Es ist nicht ganz einfach, in Celle ein wirklich gutes Restaurant zu finden. Wir sind zufällig in die Bierakademie gestolpert, der Name hat uns ein wenig abgeschreckt, haben wir doch "Horden biersaufender" junger Erwachsener erwartet. Aber: ganz im Gegenteil! Wir fanden uns in einem wirklich hervorragenden Restaurant wieder, gediegen und gemütlich ausgestattet mit einer ausgezeichneten Karte, die auch hält, was sie verspricht. Ausgezeichnetes Essen - die rohe Roulade muss man probiert haben! - ganz hervorragende Weine, und auch fünf Sorten Bier allein vom Fass. Und ein Personal, dass Gastro auch wirklich kann und äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend ist. So etwas findet man in Celle nur selten! We have been living in Celle for decades now and have never been here before 🫣 It's a shame, because the food, service and ambience are 🔝 Honest cuisine at a good price and the tiramisu is definitely a hit 😊

Very popular restaurant which locals told us was the best restaurant in Celle. Who were we to disagree , though we have used it before a few years ago and found it to be excellent. No surprises then for this visit then, it was still excellent with great food , German style with plenty of it and serving local beers as well . Another great visit , actually we went twice it was so good

We were guided by the great reviews and really wanted to try the raw roulade... we didn't know the dish before. In any case, it is advisable to make a reservation, even during the week. We were absolutely lucky to snag a spontaneous spot for the two of us. We were able to experience very friendly and prompt service. The raw roulade was a culinary delight. The rump steak is amazing... such a fine piece of meat and perfectly fried. There is also a cozy guest room on the upper floor. We found it wonderful here and definitely recommend the Beer Academy!

The restaurant is familiar and down-to-earth. I had the Hermann Lörs steak (with turkey if requested), which came with cream mushrooms and excellent fried potatoes. However, the food itself was just standard and in my opinion not worth the high prices. The liver really had a lot of onions, which was good and the courtyard is quite cozy.

A great traditional restaurant in Celle. We had a lovely, very tasty meal for our wedding anniversary, including a very lovingly decorated table. The owner and the waitresses were very friendly and had a relaxed but nevertheless friendly manner. We were on a first-name basis, which we really liked. The menu is well thought out and the food is prepared with very good quality. We ate very well for a reasonable price. A clear recommendation. It's best to reserve a few days in advance, as the restaurant is fully booked even during the week.

This restaurant is super great. Very cozy restaurant with very friendly service. The boss behind the counter and the lady of the house cooks herself. Thumbs up. I can only recommend it. Only possible with reservation. Even the toilet is inviting.

IMPORTANT: Table reservations are recommended. As we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a sign: "Fully booked! Reservations only". We spent a wonderful evening at the Beer Academy. Some of us started with delicious, unusual aperitifs. This was followed by very tasty, hearty food. Starter: Beetroot Carpaccio - soooo delicious. A spicy introduction which was followed by the “Berliner Leber” with onions and mashed potatoes. I really enjoyed these. We used to at Grandma's. Delicious. My fellow travelers were also all very satisfied. I almost forgot our shared starter. Traditionally, there was the raw roulade. We were given a little warning about this specialty in advance. As expected, it was very tasty. The mini portion was enough for us because we wanted to try so many other dishes. However, you should try this in Celle. In addition to the rustic, cozy, traditional atmosphere, we would like to highlight the excellent (unfortunately no longer a given) service. The staff were excellent. Friendly, quick, without being intrusive. Here the guest was king - queen. We really enjoyed being pampered like that. Finally, I had a tiramisu, which, as I later found out, was prepared by the innkeeper, who used to be a pastry chef. It was divine. My mouth is still watering now. Highly recommended! We'll definitely come back.

A great restaurant in every respect: the staff was super friendly, the food was great and the location is just lovely and rustic. Of course we tried this incredibly tender roulade, as well as the delicious schnitzel and the salad with goat cheese was also delicious. The desserts were also a poem. If we're in Celle again, we'll definitely be happy to come back!

The Beer Academy is known for its special roulade. Thinly sliced ​​beef spread with various spreads and rolled up. There's also pickles and a choice of bread or fried potatoes. It was pretty good but not really my thing. The beer garden is located in the inner courtyard and has some very large parasols, which came in very handy during the thunderstorm. Service was ok, although it was quite busy. I would come again, there was also a seasonal menu.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in diesem Restaurant und haben dann auch die kalte Roulade gegessen. Zuerst war ich skeptisch, aber es war super lecker. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, die Bedienung freundlich. Wir hatten für Montag reserviert, dass war auch gut, denn das Lokal war gut besucht.

Eine tolles Lokal mit Biergarten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Bestellungen werden schnell ausgeführt, aber ein gutes Pils braucht seine Zeit. Unschlagbar gut, lecker und reichlich ist die kalte Roulade. Ich habe sie immer mit zwei Scheiben gerostetem Graubrot gegessen. Wenn ich wieder in die Gegend komme, werde auf jeden Fall wieder eine kalte Roulade in der Bier Akademie essen.
