Heidekönig Hotel Celle in Celle

Everything just worked out from August 27th to August 28th. Arrival in Celle – Very friendly welcome – comprehensive information – great and very clean room in the back of a very quiet guesthouse. A nice little outdoor area in the shade. Even though the street was quite busy, I was able to enjoy a cool drink in peace. I had a delicious meal with chanterelle mushrooms in the busy restaurant. The excellent food and attentive service staff made the evening a complete success. The breakfast buffet in the morning left nothing to be desired.

You really have to get lucky with the rooms here; there are huge differences. Booking a night while passing through doesn't seem to be possible. The food is really good, but unfortunately, it's not offered for review here.

A very nice hotel, completely modernized with a very unique and refreshingly different style compared to the usual 3- to 4-star hotels. The owner family is very friendly, and the food is very delicious and plentiful. The only thing is that the parking lot can sometimes get tight, but you can easily park in the parking spaces across the street. A 30-minute walk to the beautiful town center of Celle

We booked a two-night stay at the Heidekönig through booking.com without any hassle and then extended our stay because we felt so comfortable there. We loved the friendly welcome and the overall pleasant atmosphere of this hotel. Our room was great; everything was modern, clean, and very quiet. The breakfast buffet was always very extensive, varied, and delicious. We highly recommend the Heidekönig – a true gem in Celle! Thank you very much!

A family-run hotel, about a 20-minute walk from Celle's city center – great! There's a bus stop right near the hotel, and your hotel ID card entitles you to free bus rides (approx. 12 minutes by bus to Schlossplatz in Celle's city center). Thank you for this opportunity. Free parking in the courtyard. Great, spacious room with modern furnishings. The lamps and lightbulb shapes throughout the hotel are particularly striking – not just for lighting, but also for decorative purposes. A varied, very good breakfast selection, and in the evenings, you can eat à la carte or have a beer. Friendly staff, happy to accommodate special requests where possible. Overall, a highly recommended hotel with good value for money. Thumbs up!

Hello everyone, If you're looking for a well-run and absolutely clean hotel with top-notch service in Celle, the Heidekönig is a great place to stay. A very friendly welcome upon arrival, and with the service card, which also serves as your room card, many innovations speak for this hotel. Your bus ticket to the city center is stored on the room card, allowing you to take the bus to the city center for free. (Great!) However, it would have been a good quarter of an hour to walk there...! We were two bikers who found a good parking space at the hotel with our motorcycles and were able to immediately enjoy a cold drink on this hot day of arrival. Breakfast and the evening meals were all "tip top...!" You couldn't ask for more for such a good price...! We'll definitely be back...! We had rooms 28 and 29, which were in very good condition. Greetings from the bikers from North Rhine-Westphalia...!

We stayed at the Hotel Heidekönig for one night as a stopover on the way to the Baltic Sea. Although the hotel looks unassuming from the outside, this changes immediately upon entry. Very cozy, with warm colors and very nice furnishings. A friendly welcome, and the room in the annex building was really nice, with a rain shower in the small but perfectly formed bathroom. Based on the positive reviews, we ate in the restaurant that evening and were not disappointed. We then took the free bus for hotel guests from the stop in front of the hotel to the center and back. The breakfast was also decent and good. The value for money is definitely good here. We can highly recommend the Hotel Heidekönig.

We visited Heidekönig for the first time on Saturday. We only ate there, not stayed overnight. Therefore, I'm only reviewing the restaurant. I've lived in Celle for a long time, but I hadn't heard of Heidekönig until now. We discovered the place through the 50% off special offer on spare ribs and beef ribs. Long story short: The food was great. Our server was very friendly and funny. The dining room and restrooms were in immaculate condition. We'll be back.

The hotel is extremely flexible. We called the day before for an overnight stay with our bikes and got a room, which was great. The rooms are very clean and, above all, very innovatively furnished. We were able to sit outside in the evening and enjoy a good draft beer. The food is also very, very good. The location is also good; it's nice and quiet. There's a charging station for e-bikes in the bike shed, perfect. We'll definitely be back.

I stayed at this hotel for three days (two nights) on business and was unfortunately very disappointed overall – especially with regard to the hygiene. The room wasn't really clean when I arrived. The trash can in the bathroom was clearly left over from the previous guest – it hadn't been emptied and was already full when I arrived. This is absolutely unhygienic and unprofessional. The unpleasant smell in the bathroom was almost unbearable. The shower and sink drains smelled extremely bad – a pungent, rotten odor that spread throughout the room. The toilet also smelled unpleasant. The smell was so pungent that I was only able to shower once in three days – which is unacceptable on a business trip. I will attach a photo documenting the hygiene conditions. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel in this price range. I hope management takes the situation seriously and makes improvements immediately.

Good hotel at a nice price. Good and fresh breakfast. About 2 km to walk into the center of Celle. But since the key cards for the room also work as bus tickets, you can also take the bus that stops on the street outside the hotel.

Our room seemed small at first glance, but that's probably due to the color scheme. The double room was large enough for two people. The bathroom decor is unusual (steampunk?). The breakfast, as others have already mentioned, is a highlight. The public transport pass is a good idea in itself, but we didn't use it anyway, as we didn't want to wait for the bus and preferred to walk into town.

I can only recommend the hotel! Our room was great (two single beds). The food was spot on both at breakfast and in the evening (great asparagus!). I can only praise the service. Always friendly, always helpful. With the bus stop right in front of the door (a bus leaves every 30 minutes), the connection to the city center is good... at least until a certain time, after which you have to walk or use a taxi. That's my only drawback. Overall, thanks to the Hotel Heidekönig!

My room was very tastefully decorated. The bathroom with a large rain shower is a dream. I can highlight the fittings and lamps. The dinner in the restaurant was absolutely delicious and so was the service from arrival to departure.

The first impression was, oh dear. Not so inviting from the outside. But everything inside was top notch. Great, newly renovated rooms, everything was there. There is also a guest house at the back, very quiet. Breakfast was very good. Bicycle shed available. Celle city center and castle are easy to reach 2 km by bike. Bus leaves almost in front of the door. Also recommended for an overnight stay. There were a few cyclists passing through here.

We had a very nice, large, quiet and clean room. The only thing I missed in the bathroom was a makeup mirror. An extensive breakfast buffet with something for everyone. We ate there in the evening and it was very tasty. A very friendly and courteous staff. A small mishap happened to us and we were kindly treated for it not billed. The price-performance ratio was also right. All in all, we can recommend the Hotel Heidekönig with a clear conscience. A big thank you to the entire team for the pleasant stay. If we end up in Celle again, we would always be happy to stay at Heidehönig.

Very nice spacious single room. The hotel is in a quiet location, about a 25-minute walk to the city center. What's particularly great is that you can use public transport for free with your hotel card, and the bus stop is opposite.

It was very nice and centrally located. By bus 11 minutes in the center. Beautiful old town.

I had a newly renovated, quiet single room with lots of space. I've had double rooms that are smaller. Everything was very clean. Fast WiFi is available and registration is child's play using the room card with QR code. You can also use the card to take the bus for free and get to the historic old town easily. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Coffee was already freshly made in vacuum jugs on the tables, everything else was available at the buffet. In the evening there is an extensive menu. The dishes are freshly prepared. Near the kitchen you can hear the schnitzels being plated. And they are real Viennese schnitzels with veal, very tasty!

Of course we can recommend the place. Celle is incredibly beautiful with its half-timbered houses. The hotel is well located if you want to get some exercise. There is a lot to see and the castle is worth seeing. We had beautiful and sunny days there in April.😊

When we first looked at the hotel we asked ourselves whether we had made the right choice, but once in the house and at the reception our impression changed; we received a very friendly welcome. If you like the charm of the 70s, you're in good hands here. But that shouldn't be viewed negatively, the rooms (rooms, bathroom, restaurant) are clean, tidy and well-maintained. There was nothing for us to criticize. The food in the restaurant brought everything into balance, to the point: ....."simply very good" .... The kitchen is great.

So I was there in March and was very positively surprised. Rooms are clean and spacious. If something should happen, someone is immediately available to help. There are plenty of e-charging stations available and billing is accurate at a very fair price. When you come back from work you will be warmly welcomed and you can make yourself comfortable in the in-house restaurant and you will be surprised with very good cuisine. Everything fresh and very nicely prepared. So I can really recommend this hotel and the 3 stars of the hotel are definitely deserved.

We stayed there for a weekend. My room was clean and I could sleep well in bed. But the most beautiful thing was the lounge and dining area. The breakfast was okay and the food in the evening (see picture) tasted very good. The gentleman who served us at reception and at dinner in the evening was also very charming and funny at the same time. He made our stay there a little more sweet.

We spent two nights as a group in the Hotel “Heidekönig”. We had booked three rooms. The rooms were clean and large. One room was modern and very attractively renovated. The other two rooms will definitely be spruced up too. In the evening we ate in the hotel's restaurant. Very tasty food in a very nice dining room. Plus a young, friendly service team. Special thanks to Ibrahim, whose relaxed, fun manner makes you feel very welcome.

Unfortunately, it is a very run-down accommodation, the rooms, which are wallpapered in very questionable colors, are very old, the wallpaper is peeling off the walls, the paint is peeling off the beds and the furnishings are very simple/cheap. The breakfast is really simple and not at all appealing. Price performance is not right here. It would have been okay for 30€ but not for 115€!!!! Unfortunately, you won't find the friendliness of the owner, he is very disrespectful and not at all conducive to business. Blames the customer for missing information before booking, even though there is an email with his reply. This behavior should be questioned when it comes to the quality of the accommodation. The food in the brasserie was ok, but the quality of the meat was poor. Be careful, there is no side dish with the schnitzel, this is a bit misleading. And drives up the price. Never this accommodation in Celle again!

I booked a single room at the Heidekönig Hotel Celle for the weekend and was very satisfied. About 1.8 km from the train station, it's very quietly located on Bremer Straße. Friendly staff and a clean room with a TV, shower, and a liter bottle of mineral water. In the restaurant, we were treated to a delicious schnitzel dish on the day of our arrival, and the same goes for the extensive breakfast buffet! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the hotel on its way to a fourth star.

We were there in a small group for the weekend. After a few minor organizational issues, everyone was well accommodated and catered for both morning and evening. We were allowed to retreat to the large adjoining room for a tasting, and everything went perfectly. I highly recommend the hotel!

The room and bathroom were clean and adequately equipped. A few (expensive) snacks were available. To swim, I was very kindly explained that I could go to the house a little further down the street 😞, there were bathrobes and towels there (the description sounded to me like there was a pool in the house). There was no open restaurant nearby. Unfortunately, my room was very dark and the lighting was very sparse. It was enough to stay overnight. There is a small free parking lot behind the house.

In the evening there was a games evening on the ground floor, so there was no possibility of quiet in the hotel room. In addition, the cleaner came into the room at 8:00 in the morning, and from that moment on I was awake. Ok for an overnight stay, but once is enough.

My wife and I spent a night at Heidekönig to visit dear friends and do some cycling. After arriving in the morning (to park the car and set off on the bikes) they said succinctly "You're 5 hours early!" We were kindly allowed to park the car anyway. When we checked in in the evening, there was no welcome greeting or anything like that, the registration form was handed to us without a word. Well. Unfortunately the room had two separate beds, but it was clean and we were able to sleep well. In the restaurant it continued, no "Good evening" or anything like that, but "Find a seat". The summer pasta was quite good, although very tomato and olive heavy. The chicken breast on the salad was almost raw. My request to cook these again was not answered with a word of apology or anything like that. I then got the salad back with the bread I had eaten. All in all, the stay was good with a lot of room for improvement.

My mom and I are on the Way of St. James and this great hostel gave us a warm welcome. Gladly again! :) We would recommend the Heidekönig Hotel again and again!

Nice hotel! I was there for a week on business and was very satisfied. The rooms are very nicely decorated and above all clean. The breakfast was also very good. Salmon, various sausages and cheese available. You can actually still work on the rolls. They were often hard. I would actually rather have some from the bakery instead of baked rolls. Nevertheless, I would come again.

Great, everything is great for the second time. Bus ticket included in the price and the bus stop just around the corner. Celle has a beautiful old town. By bus it takes about 10/12 minutes.
