The food was good; the herring was very plentiful and tasty. Unfortunately, my grilled dish was a bit overcooked. The Argentinian rump steak was very thin and well done. The other cuts of meat were quite okay. We'd be happy to come back!

The food was good. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to our expectations, which we had hoped for based on the many reviews. We weren't informed about the included salad like other guests, probably regulars and guests of the establishment. When we asked, we were referred, in a rather harsh Frisian way, to the menu, where it would have been listed at the beginning (pay attention to the fine print). While reading the menu and during our meal, we were asked several times if we wanted a drink. The drinks arrived promptly and were of good quality. After we had finished our meals, however, this lessened. We would have liked another drink. Despite ordering, nothing came. When we asked, we received a brief "my mistake" without even a word of apology... Frisian way, OK, but that was rather unfriendly. We then left and had the impression that this was the intention. The next guests were already waiting. The imposing waitress was just as friendly as she had been with us at the beginning.

We reserved a table for two people with a small Maltipoo. The two servers were extremely nice and friendly. They were very quick to serve our orders, and our orders were also delivered quickly. The restaurant is very dog-friendly, and we felt very comfortable. The food was delicious, and the salad bar also offered a wide selection.

Highly recommended; we felt completely at home. We were there just for dinner. The food was wonderful, the service excellent and friendly. Reservations are recommended as it's quite busy. We visited on a Saturday evening.

Since we were staying overnight, we also wanted to try the restaurant and were not disappointed. Delicious fish, a pleasant atmosphere, and very friendly staff – we made a spontaneous reservation and managed to get a spot for two :) We'd also like to emphasize the fantastic breakfast the next morning! Very lovingly prepared, imaginative, and delicious (and the first place we've stayed where the butter wasn't wrapped in plastic – very environmentally conscious!)! We were fans of the hotel's own Bircher muesli, the homemade jam, and the delicious herring salad!

Great restaurant with a fantastic menu. So far, we've eaten meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes. My personal recommendation: Vegetarian cauliflower and cheese medallions and the fish platter with gurnard, crab, and other local fish. A great restaurant for us! The staff is friendly, and the interior is immaculately clean! We look forward to our next visit.

There's a salad buffet with every meal. The salads and fish dishes are delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I was here yesterday with two people. We had a fish pan and a rump steak. The fish pan was simple. The rump steak with vegetables and Sieler crabs (6 pieces) had to be searched for. Overall rating: Poor. I can't recommend it.

The food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly and, above all, very quick. I didn't have to wait long. The table was clean with two tablecloths. The glasses were also very clean. The salad from the buffet is included with all dishes at no extra charge. The quality of the food was very good. The price/performance ratio is good. We felt very comfortable. Of course, it's also very busy, so I would recommend making a reservation in advance. I highly recommend this restaurant.

There were three of us there: my wife, our young daughter, and me. My wife had seafood pasta, and I had a mixed fish platter. There were also several children's dishes for the little one to choose from. The food was super delicious, and I also think it was all reasonably priced. We'd definitely love to come back when we're in the area again. By the way, it's best to make a reservation in advance. We were there on a Monday, and it was quite busy.

We had reserved a table for six people for my milestone birthday in a shared apartment. We got one in the adjoining room. After being told not to overfill the salad plates and that it's better to have a large bottle of water for several people... we got the food. The food we ordered came with the wrong side dishes; the fried potatoes were too salty! There was very little on the vegetarian dishes. The lights were off for us, even though we didn't have a window next to us; those sitting by the window had six spotlights above us... When I asked if I could add a tip despite paying by card, the only response was "No!" There was no indication of a tip jar... then not, we thought. This wasn't how I imagined a milestone birthday with a nice meal out with family. Not good advertising for locals who spend a lot of time with tourists and would therefore spread the word. It's a shame; this used to be a very good restaurant. Never again!

We spontaneously got a table for five today, and all of our plates were cleaned. Even our son ate everything. Super delicious, beautifully presented, great, humorous staff, cozy atmosphere. Simply fantastic. We'll definitely be back on our next vacation. Thank you for this culinary experience!

Been here for the second time. Everything was perfect, from the appetizer to dessert. Top-notch service, always with a friendly comment, and extremely friendly. It's best to make a reservation during peak times. The schnitzel and fish are truly excellent. I'd happily return again.

On our fourth vacation here on the beautiful North Sea, we finally had the opportunity to try the Bauernstuben restaurant. Conclusion: A wonderful, modern yet pleasant, comfortable atmosphere. Super friendly, yet unpretentious service. Great food. The price-performance ratio is also excellent. Both the children and us adults were very satisfied. A highly recommended restaurant. We'll definitely come back when we vacation here again.

We visited this restaurant on June 25 and were so impressed with the food that we immediately booked a table for the following evening. Although the fish dish was excellent, I wanted to try a meat dish the next evening, and lo and behold, it was simply fantastic! My wife was also absolutely thrilled with the food and the service, which left nothing to be desired. A huge compliment to the management of the establishment!

After the barn restaurant closed we had to look for something new that was of the same or better quality! We booked the first evening and were so excited that we ate there three more times! The quality of the food is very good and the four men in service are simply great! They work very well together and at a very fast pace! Hats off to such a great performance! We'll definitely be back! A very good address if you want to eat really well!

We were in Neuharlingersiel for a few days on vacation and were looking for a good restaurant and came across it through the very good reviews, we really enjoyed it, a very nice salad buffet, very nice and courteous service, and the ambience was also very good. Completely satisfied, I haven't eaten so well in a long time!!!!

What a wonderful day in the farmhouses in Großholum! The first contact with the owner was characterized by a warmth and genuineness that is rarely found today. Everything was tailored to our wishes – uncomplicated, personal and with a huge dose of trust. A warm meal was prepared for our private group of 29 people, followed by a coffee and tea table - and what can we say: it was simply perfect. The food was a dream, fresh, lovingly prepared and simply really delicious. The entire team looked after us with a warmth and attention that touched us deeply. You can feel here at every moment: This is about people, not just about guests. We are endlessly grateful for this experience and can only recommend that everyone let themselves be pampered in the Bauernstuben. A real heartfelt recommendation!

We were there for the second time for a family reunion on Boxing Day for the buffet in the Bauernstuben. The buffet was rich and tasty with a great selection. Vegetarian dishes were also on offer and were very good. The service was competent, very, very friendly and considerate. You felt well looked after all around! And also very full at the end!

If you're looking for relaxed hospitality, this is the right place for you! All employees are consistently friendly and simply nice and treat us as guests with wit and openness - honest and not that fake, American "nice-to-meet-you" mentality. They keep an eye on their guests in a positive way and are at the table before you can call them, without being intrusive. We enjoy the Christmas menu and nothing is missing! Table has already been ordered again for December 26th, 2025. Thank you very much - you are a great team!

Six of us had dinner and had mixed impressions. The atmosphere was pleasant, with nice Christmas decorations, but the room was a bit cool at first. The service was friendly but with a humorous style that might not appeal to everyone. The vegetarian selection was limited to three dishes. My cauliflower and cheese medallion tasted okay, but was too greasy and not very creative. For 18 euros the quality was disappointing. There were also communication problems between service and the kitchen when it came to “seasonal vegetables”. Recommended for celebrations in separate rooms, but not for dinner for me personally.

The portion size was fine in combination with the starter salad from the buffet and the dessert. The service was very nice and attentive. The ambience was nice, it is overall quite brightly decorated.

We have been coming to this restaurant for many years and are always impressed by the consistent quality of the food! These are lovingly prepared and served to guests by friendly, competent service staff, often with a funny comment. The atmosphere is relaxed, relaxed and very pleasant. Special requests regarding menu composition can also be fulfilled without any problem! We feel very comfortable in the farmhouse parlors with Mr. Bleeck and his entire team and that's why we come back every year. We usually reserve a table every evening at the beginning of our vacation until the end. At this point, warm greetings and many thanks to the whole team. You are simply great! I was on the North Sea/Neuharlingersiel for 8 days until I found this restaurant by chance. If I had found it at the beginning, I would have JUST eaten here. The service is great, as is the ambience, and the food is great. The menu includes fish and meat dishes, as well as the usual local dishes. Everything is super fresh, deliciously presented, cooked and prepared with love and passion!! The service does the rest to ensure that guests have a great evening. The price-performance ratio is also good. All in all, only recommended. Thanks for that 😃😃

We were very positively surprised and really enjoyed the food. The fish was plentiful, fresh and well prepared.

Unfortunately we didn't have such a nice evening with you. We had dinner with them again after a year, but unfortunately the evening wasn't as nice. When we received the menu from the waitress, he told us that we could get a free salad from the salad buffet (until then everything was fine). Unfortunately the herb butter on my steak was still frozen, which wasn't very appetizing. After we had eaten and the waitress cleared the plates, he asked what was left of the salad. And we politely said that we were all happily full. He then made a face and said that it probably wouldn't work and that we should eat it. Because food is wasted, as if we were little children who needed to be reprimanded! That doesn't work at all!! Then he brought the card to us with the open page where it says at the bottom that you have to pay for uneaten salad, he also said that he had failed to tell us in advance! Are you crazy! We would have taken the salad with us if we had been given the chance! But it's not possible to discredit us like that next to other guests. Unfortunately we won't be coming again. Too bad!

When we are in Neuharlingersiel it is natural for us to go to the Bauernstube in Groß Holum for dinner. There is great food here and very friendly staff...can only recommend!

In principle very good, food delicious. However, we ordered a bottle of wine because we know the winery. But then a completely different bottle came to the table. However, that wasn't a problem at all for the owner. The wine list is just not up to date. Wonderful, right?

Whenever we are on the coast we go here for steak. What I don't like is this green woke pseudo nonsense with the free salad plate; which you have to pay if you don't finish it. For the environment. What do you do with the leftovers on display at the end of the day? Do you serve it to the guest again the next day, or do you throw the rest away like every kitchen hopefully does?

Unfortunately the butter was with the meat no longer edible, tasted old, smelled strange too. No sauce, unfortunately everything was very dry Too bad...60-€.with 2 beers...phew

Very friendly staff with typically Nordic openness and humor. Had the plaice with crabs and it was very, very tasty. The concept with side salads is a good thing (you can get a side salad yourself at the salad buffet and it's free unless you take too much and don't finish the salad, then you have to pay for it). This means less food is thrown away, really great!! Unfortunately we live too far away to eat there often.

Wir waren total begeistert von allem: Wohlfühl-Ambiente ( not overloaded), ganz frisch zubereitete Speisen, rascher und aufmerksamer Service! Vom Salat Buffet darf man sich nehmen, so viel man möchte – einzige Bedingung ist, dass man den Teller leer isst. Ansonsten werden vier Euro berechnet! Absolut genial, auf diese Art und Weise der Verschwendung von Lebensmitteln entgegenzuwirken! Es gibt eine reichhaltige Fischkarte, wo die Pfannen und Töpfchen mit mehreren Fischsorten, Krabben und Muscheln aufwarten- extrem lecker! Das war das beste Abendessen unseres Urlaubs in dieser Gegend!

Vor vielen Jahren waren wir schon einmal in diesem Restaurant und sehr begeistert. Also wieder probiert und geben die Begeisterung auch dieses Mal gerne weiter. Hatten Fischplatte und Rotbarsch. Alles super frisch, auf den Punkt zubereitet. Abgerundet wurde alles mit einem sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service. Klasse!!! Warum keine volle Punktzahl? Gebe ich im Moment kaum, da mir die Preise im Allgemeinen in der deutschen Gastronomie zu hoch gestiegen sind. Auch hier, obwohl noch eher moderat, zahlt man auf einem Niveau, was viele Leute sich nicht jeden Tag (auch im Urlaub) erlauben können. Schade, und hoffen wir alle auf bessere Zeiten. Dem Team hier aber sonst wirklich 👍👍👍👍👍

Everything in itself was fine. Food was OK, I had the Wiener Schnitzel 240 grams with fries. My portion was quite frugal, so I wasn't hungry anymore but didn't feel full. I wouldn't come here again, it was too expensive for the portion I got.
