Even without a reservation, we were given a table for dinner. We were particularly impressed by the regional fish dishes. They were excellently prepared and tasted just like fresh fish should. Beforehand, we were able to help ourselves to the crisp salad buffet, which was obviously accompanied by homemade dressing. So, we were completely satisfied. The very friendly, competent, and fast service also pleasantly surprised us. The price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect. For the region, this is a culinary hit.

The food was good. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to our expectations, which we had hoped for based on the many reviews. We weren't informed about the included salad like other guests, probably regulars and guests of the establishment. When we asked, we were referred, in a rather harsh Frisian way, to the menu, where it would have been listed at the beginning (pay attention to the fine print). While reading the menu and during our meal, we were asked several times if we wanted a drink. The drinks arrived promptly and were of good quality. After we had finished our meal, however, this lessened. We would have liked another drink. Despite ordering, nothing came. When we asked, we received a brief "my mistake" without even a word of apology... Frisian way, OK, but that was rather unfriendly. We then left and had the impression that this was the intention. The next guests were already waiting. The imposing waitress was just as friendly as she had been with us at the beginning.

The food was good; the herring was very plentiful and tasty. Unfortunately, my grilled dish was a bit overcooked. The Argentinian rump steak was very thin and well done. The other cuts of meat were quite okay. We'd be happy to come back!

We reserved a table for two people with a small Maltipoo. The two servers were extremely nice and friendly. They were very quick to serve our orders, and our orders were also delivered quickly. The restaurant is very dog-friendly, and we felt very comfortable. The food was delicious, and the salad bar also offered a wide selection.

Since we were staying overnight, we also wanted to try the restaurant and were not disappointed. Delicious fish, a pleasant atmosphere, and very friendly staff – we made a spontaneous reservation and managed to get a spot for two :) We'd also like to emphasize the fantastic breakfast the next morning! Very lovingly prepared, imaginative, and delicious (and the first place we've stayed where the butter wasn't wrapped in plastic – very environmentally conscious!)! We were fans of the hotel's own Bircher muesli, the homemade jam, and the delicious herring salad!

Great restaurant with a fantastic menu. So far, we've eaten meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes. My personal recommendation: Vegetarian cauliflower and cheese medallions and the fish platter with gurnard, crab, and other local fish. A great restaurant for us! I was here yesterday with two people. We had a fish pan and a rump steak. The fish pan was simple. The rump steak with vegetables and Sieler crabs (6 pieces) had to be searched for. Overall rating: Poor. I can't recommend it.

There were three of us there: my wife, our young daughter, and me. My wife had seafood pasta, and I had a mixed fish platter. There were also several children's dishes for the little one to choose from. The food was super delicious, and I also think it was all reasonably priced. We'd definitely love to come back when we're in the area again. By the way, it's best to make a reservation in advance. We were there on a Monday, and it was quite busy.

We had reserved a table for six people for my milestone birthday in a shared apartment. We got one in the adjoining room. After being told not to overfill the salad plates and that it's better to have a large bottle of water for several people... we got the food. The food we ordered came with the wrong side dishes; the fried potatoes were too salty! There was very little on the vegetarian dishes. The lights were off for us, even though we didn't have a window next to us; those sitting by the window had six spotlights above us... When I asked if I could add a tip despite paying by card, the only response was "No!" There was no indication of a tip jar... then not, we thought. This wasn't how I imagined a milestone birthday with a nice meal out with family. Not good advertising for locals who spend a lot of time with tourists and would therefore spread the word. It's a shame; this used to be a very good restaurant. Never again!

On our fourth vacation here on the beautiful North Sea, we finally had the opportunity to try the Bauernstuben restaurant. Conclusion: A wonderful, modern yet pleasant, comfortable atmosphere. Super friendly, yet unpretentious service. Great food. The price-performance ratio is also excellent. Both the children and us adults were very satisfied. A highly recommended restaurant. We'll definitely come back when we vacation here again.

We visited this restaurant on June 25 and were so impressed with the food that we immediately booked a table for the following evening. Although the fish dish was excellent, I wanted to try a meat dish the next evening, and lo and behold, it was simply fantastic! My wife was also absolutely thrilled with the food and the service, which left nothing to be desired. A huge compliment to the management of the establishment!

After the barn restaurant closed we had to look for something new that was of the same or better quality! We booked the first evening and were so excited that we ate there three more times! The quality of the food is very good and the four men in service are simply great! They work very well together and at a very fast pace! Hats off to such a great performance! We'll definitely be back! A very good address if you want to eat really well!

We were in Neuharlingersiel for a few days on vacation and were looking for a good restaurant and came across it through the very good reviews, we really enjoyed it, a very nice salad buffet, very nice and courteous service, and the ambience was also very good. Completely satisfied, I haven't eaten so well in a long time!!!!

What a wonderful day in the farmhouses in Großholum! The first contact with the owner was characterized by a warmth and genuineness that is rarely found today. Everything was tailored to our wishes – uncomplicated, personal and with a huge dose of trust. A warm meal was prepared for our private group of 29 people, followed by a coffee and tea table - and what can we say: it was simply perfect. The food was a dream, fresh, lovingly prepared and simply really delicious. The entire team looked after us with a warmth and attention that touched us deeply. You can feel here at every moment: This is about people, not just about guests. We are endlessly grateful for this experience and can only recommend that everyone let themselves be pampered in the Bauernstuben. A real heartfelt recommendation!

We were there for the second time for a family reunion on Boxing Day for the buffet in the Bauernstuben. The buffet was rich and tasty with a great selection. Vegetarian dishes were also on offer and were very good. The service was competent, very, very friendly and considerate. You felt well looked after all around! And also very full at the end!

If you're looking for relaxed hospitality, this is the right place for you! All employees are consistently friendly and simply nice and treat us as guests with wit and openness - honest and not that fake, American "nice-to-meet-you" mentality. They keep an eye on their guests in a positive way and are at the table before you can call them, without being intrusive. We enjoy the Christmas menu and nothing is missing! Table has already been ordered again for December 26th, 2025. Thank you very much - you are a great team!

Six of us had dinner and had mixed impressions. The atmosphere was pleasant, with nice Christmas decorations, but the room was a bit cool at first. The service was friendly but with a humorous style that might not appeal to everyone. The vegetarian selection was limited to three dishes. My cauliflower and cheese medallion tasted okay, but was too greasy and not very creative. For 18 euros the quality was disappointing. There were also communication problems between service and the kitchen when it came to “seasonal vegetables”. Recommended for celebrations in separate rooms, but not for dinner for me personally.

We have been coming to this restaurant for many years and are always impressed by the consistent quality of the food! These are lovingly prepared and served to guests by friendly, competent service staff, often with a funny comment. The atmosphere is relaxed, relaxed and very pleasant. Special requests regarding menu composition can also be fulfilled without any problem! We feel very comfortable in the farmhouse parlors with Mr. Bleeck and his entire team and that's why we come back every year. I was on the North Sea/Neuharlingersiel for 8 days until I found this restaurant by chance. If I had found it at the beginning, I would have JUST eaten here. The service is great, as is the ambience, and the food is great. The menu includes fish and meat dishes, as well as the usual local dishes. Everything is super fresh, deliciously presented, cooked and prepared with love and passion!! The service does the rest to ensure that guests have a great evening.
