We were here for Sunday brunch. Great event, super friendly and attentive staff, large selection of exceptional dishes. Highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I went for Sunday brunch and we felt completely at ease. Although the place was very busy, the service was excellent and extremely attentive and friendly throughout. The food was delicious, with a wide selection and something for everyone. Thank you for this wonderful start to our Sunday, and we'll definitely be back!

We went there for Sunday brunch. A fantastic experience. From the warm welcome to the farewell. An overwhelming variety of food, very attentive service staff, and the ambiance of an old factory also has its charm. We will definitely come back.

There were about ten of us for brunch, and we were all thrilled; I would have gladly given it even more stars. The buffet was delicious and varied, the service incredibly friendly and motivated, and everyone said we'd definitely go again. Many thanks to the whole team!

Friendly welcome, attentive service. Due to the building's layout, it can be a bit noisy even when only half full. Everyone enjoyed the food. The chef should be a little more careful with the salt. It was great that the children received their food very quickly.

Wow, wow, wow! I was here with my girls for my 30th birthday. The food was perfect, the service left nothing to be desired, and the staff looked after us so well. It was simply amazing! I'm glad I chose this restaurant for my birthday; they even gave us a few free drinks. I really couldn't have imagined a more beautiful place for my birthday! Oh, and the view of the water leaves nothing to be desired. Thank you for everything, you wonderful people!

Sonnendeck is a beautiful place by the river! 🌊 The terrace is super relaxed, the beer selection is great 🍺, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The burger I had was juicy and really tasty 🍔. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying food and drinks! 🌞

I went there with my little daughter, and the food was truly delicious. The service was friendly and very attentive. It's actually the only truly high-quality, cozy restaurant in this area. We love going there.

The location is really beautiful, especially in summer. Sitting outside in the evening sun. Six weeks ago, I was there for the first time with colleagues. At lunch, it wasn't crowded. Everything was still good, which is why I went back today with my family. In the evening. It was quite busy, and the kitchen obviously couldn't handle it. The food came relatively quickly, but the quality was nowhere near the same as the first time. The burger was okay, albeit not very hot, and the fries were hard. My wife's and son's meals (both pasta) were cold. The child didn't mind, and the wife's plate was returned. The server was very friendly, apologized, and even called back to say that the kitchen was preparing a new portion, so it would take a moment. The moment was relatively brief, and the portion wasn't new either, as was evident from the suddenly melted mozzarella, and this time the pasta was only lukewarm. The quality of the food didn't match the price, and not just because of the temperature. Too bad, the first impression was good, the second unfortunately not.

Delicious drinks and friendly staff. A super nice terrace by the water. We sat at a table near the shore, and unfortunately, the numerous spiders on the railing were quite annoying, crawling right next to and even on the table 🥲 Unfortunately, I couldn't really relax. Cleaning the railing would be great.

The food was good. Not exactly cheap, but tasty and plentiful. Friendly and quick service. It's very nice outside, but the mosquitoes are annoying in the evenings.

We had a wonderful time outside by the water with excellent service, food, and drinks. Cushions on the wooden benches and chairs would have been nice. Unfortunately, the Aperol Spritz was a bit too thin 😉 We'd be happy to come back.

The sun deck is located in one of the Wilheminen courtyards and boasts a very cozy and relaxed atmosphere. If you like (and the weather permits), you can enjoy a beautiful view of the water. Because it was very fully booked that day, we had to wait quite a while for our order. However, this was communicated transparently right from the start, and since my group and I weren't in a hurry, it was perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the acoustics there aren't that good, or it was simply too loud; in any case, I wouldn't recommend more than 10 people. The food was very tasty. I highly recommend the Burrito Chimichanga. We had three servers, which meant that one or two orders got lost or something came along that we hadn't ordered, but the service was always very friendly.

A very nice restaurant; if you want a table right by the water, a reservation is advisable. The service is very attentive and friendly, even on our second visit. We'll be back.

The food was good, a 9/10. The ambiance of the restaurant was very cozy and nicely decorated and furnished, but it was very noisy. The waiters were (probably intentionally) very loud behind the bar. However, everyone was very friendly to the guests, and the service was good.

Full disclosure: we only had a couple of drinks here. But the place has an amazing ambiance: right on the River Spree - with some amazing views of the river and the party boats. The service was excellent. The radlers are highly recommended. The prices are decent for an elegant riverside bar.

I was very, very pleasantly surprised. Top-notch service. Very attentive, unobtrusive but always present. The food was good. The outdoor seating is really nice and has a great view.

Great location right on the water with a great terrace, and even when it rains, the interior is cozy and pleasant (except for the two tables right by the buffet, where it can get quite loud at times). Unfortunately, the quality of the brunch has been declining. We've been there three times now and probably won't be back. Some dishes weren't really warm, the quality is okay but not what it used to be, and some things sit outside for a long time between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. There are great desserts, but the savory food is definitely up for improvement. Service is a bit slow, but bearable for such a crowded brunch, and you should also relax and take your time :)

I would never thought that i would write such review about this place but the service got to the lowest possible when the waiter tries to trick you with the check. We ‘ve been coming here for years and i guess they changed the stuff because we’ve never seen this middle east looking short man. We wanted to try buffet and ordered tap water with the small juice. The guy tried to flirt but we are both married and gave him harsh stop. He brought us mineral water and big juice instead. We asked him to change it. Then we had a bee in the juice and we asked for the new one. I was so shocked when he just gave me the same glass by simply taking out the bee. On top he said the word Shaize very loud. He brought a check where he charged us for the tap water 4 euro which is free everywhere. He also put the prices of the big glass of juice to the bill. We started complaining and he AGGRESSIVELY shouted saying he is a manager here and we are not allowed to come. Then another waitress came for help and he rudely took out the takeaway box from her hands. She was apologising but this guy would threaten all the women in public with his actions. I think the whole stuff is scared of his aggressive and rude actions. I feel very sorry for the owner that people like him ruining others business. Because the whole crowd was watching this crazy waiter doing this

Recommended, no one can do anything about wasps. But we tried to get rid of them with incense...

We always love coming to the sun deck ☀️ the food is great and the staff is always friendly and hard-working 🤗 we personally always love going for brunch! There's something for everyone, big and small! They constantly add new food, and they make sure everything is fresh and tidy! Simply fantastic! We've never had a complaint and always leave happy! The only drawback, which is just a personal opinion and due to the construction, is that it's quite loud when it's full. But that's hard to judge, and we still enjoy coming back every time! 😊 Keep it up!!🙏🏽

We had a wonderful family celebration on the terrace overlooking the water. The food was fantastic and plentiful. The service was very fast, friendly, and always there. We even managed to watch the fireworks from the neighboring venue until very late.

Really good food, you can taste the quality and the homemade flavors. Super tasty, with a small but manageable buffet selection.

We had a company party there. There was little seating, but not much food. We sat very close together, which wasn't good. The food was pointless. The food was, in my opinion, too salty and soggy. I didn't like it. As I said, that's my opinion. The service was good. The ambiance was good outside, but inside, well, not my taste; it was all concrete.

We were staying nearby and stumbled upon this place by chance. We were not disappointed. We went here for dinner for 3 days. The food is delicious, the service is young and energetic. It's a really great place. We even got a table for 1/2 hour when they were full with reservations.

Great location right on the water. Those sitting outside have to be careful, as the planks have a large gap; anything that slips through is gone. There's ample parking, the price/performance ratio is reasonable, but the dessert menu is a bit thin, and the interior has a somewhat traditional feel. Unfortunately, they only serve Viennese-style schnitzel, but the food is otherwise solid, and the service is excellent.

Disappointing and unprofessional I had a reservation for a large group that was canceled the same day – just four hours in advance – without any reason and without any alternatives. Everyone had been looking forward to the evening together and had prepared accordingly. The contact was unfriendly and not very solution-oriented. Unfortunately, I absolutely do not recommend it.

I have a binding reservation for dinner there with my team for today, May 17, 2025. It was simply canceled four hours in advance without any comprehensible reason. I cannot recommend this restaurant at all and have never experienced anything like it in my entire life.

Very simple wooden chairs and tables outside. A nostalgic East German feel. The food was very tasty. Service was very slow, even though there weren't many guests.

Very nice ambience; we sat outside at lunchtime. There's always a lunchtime special on offer. I ordered from the regular menu and chose a fish dish for €22. The potatoes were served undercooked. I was then given new potatoes, but the fish naturally got cold, and they didn't offer to make the dish from scratch. The new potatoes were plentiful, but also undercooked. The potatoes were fried raw in a pan (for far too short a time) and not pre-cooked. No discount or compensation was offered. Therefore, for the price, it was a real disappointment and a shame.

Went there for the third time for brunch on Sunday. The brunch was again very tasty and extensive and you were more than full! There are some specials that you won't find anywhere else and totally justify the price. The staff is very nice and considerate, the ambience speaks for itself. We were satisfied for the third time and can only warmly recommend the sun deck.

It's great to be able to sit by the water. The noise inside was extremely stressful. The weather allowed us to sit outside where it was much quieter and not crowded. The buffet had an extensive selection from savory to sweet. I missed more vegetables to balance out the very fatty offering.

Spontaneous visit with great food 🤩 We spontaneously went to eat here and - luckily - got a table straight away. The location is beautiful even in winter, but in summer - I think - it is even more beautiful 😍 There is a clear and relatively unusual menu. Price-performance ratio is definitely right here and the quality of the food is top! We were all very satisfied ✨

It was my first time here, I really liked it, I had made a reservation in advance because there were 3 of us and we really wanted to sit outside on the terrace with a beautiful view of the Spree. Service, food and drinks were all great, the three of us really enjoyed it. A little difficult to find at the moment due to the construction site and barriers, but doable thanks to the navigation system. Parking directly on site, possible with parking meter for 2 hours. We would love to come back again.

Food: I was there for the breakfast buffet. It was well attended. The buffet selection was sufficient and overall quite tasty. Unfortunately, there was a lot of ready-made stuff, but that's nothing unusual these days. Some of the fruit was still frozen, which of course shouldn't be the case. Atmosphere: Right on the water, and the overall interior design was well coordinated. I quite liked it. Service: Unfortunately, there's a lot of room for improvement here. Drinks took an extremely long time. Whether it was hot drinks, juices, or beer...you had to ask for more. The waitresses, by their own admission, didn't even know the menu. But who else would? They kept bringing the wrong drink sizes. It felt a bit like there was no shift manager there. Well, unfortunately, that wasn't particularly good.

It's hard to believe that such a wonderful restaurant exists in the slightly hidden alcove. When you enter the room, you immediately have a good feeling, and if you sit on the window side with a view of the water, that alone increases your mood. Everything else (eating/drinking) is taken care of by the friendly staff - of course we also appreciate the chef. This year I'm coming back with friends (seminar group meeting 2025)

We waited over an hour for our food. In addition, the food we ordered didn't come. The burger was with chicken even though we ordered a veggie burger. This could not be seen at the beginning. After tasting we discovered it. The real burger came 20 minutes later. Overall, the food didn't taste good. The fried potatoes weren't really warm and the herring fillet was too salty. It's a shame, it's a beautiful location on the water that had the potential to be something special.
