Everything was great! The soup and the lamb from the daily specials were fantastic. The service and the atmosphere were impeccable. We all had delicious food and will be back soon!

A wonderful restaurant. We can definitely recommend it. The menu isn't big, but everything is prepared fresh, not from frozen ingredients. The dishes are unique, no Pommes like everywhere else. Delicious French desserts. Very attentive waitress and a pleasant atmosphere. Everything was delicious and wonderful!

I had a very delicious pork steak; it was incredibly tender. The dessert, Crepe Suzette, was also excellent!

Impressed in a positive way. The schnitzel was exactly as you'd imagine it. Crispy, very thin, and large enough to be satisfying, served with lemon wedges, rosemary potatoes, and a delicious salad. The pork steak was also excellent. We also ordered cappuccino and weren't disappointed. The staff were very friendly as well.

We were in Weilburg for only 2 days and we ate here four times. Fantastic soup, great charcuterie salad, bread with garlic & cheese. Best view in town on the square in front of the castle & fountain. Friendly staff. Good beer. Happy we stopped by and stayed a while.

I've been enjoying this restaurant for a long time, and the chef never fails to impress with his excellent cuisine. The variety and sophistication of the dishes is impressive—so many different taste experiences! For me, it's the only place that offers such a wide range of cuisines. The large selection of cakes is also a real highlight for anyone with a sweet tooth. I'll definitely keep coming back!

From my humble perspective, I can highly recommend this restaurant. The soup of the day (bean soup on this day) was excellent and just the thing to fortify myself before a city tour.

Three years ago, I had a great meal there with a small group. Yesterday, I wanted to eat there again, but the waitress ignored us at first and then became rude. Maybe she was just having a bad day. We left without eating.

The ambiance is nice, but the service is outrageous. So we'll probably go somewhere else in Weilburg in the future.

We're regular guests at Mick's at the old aRthaus. Great service and warm, passionate cooking. The best schnitzel in the entire region, and always something special on the menu. Great hosts and our place to be. Being open on Mondays is something special in Central Hesse, especially when the weather is so nice ☺️👍🏼.

If I could, I'd give it negative stars. The encounter with the landlady was the kind that makes you doubt humanity. The disrespect and unfriendliness were hard to beat. My appetite was gone before I even ordered.

From the moment we entered, we were neither greeted nor noticed – the service was unfriendly, curt, and completely unaccommodating from the start. The ambiance? Old-fashioned and unloving. The disinterested service made the entire visit a negative experience. What a shame, given the potential. Anyone who values ​​hospitality and a good sense of service should avoid this place.

We were there last night to end the evening with a few drinks. We were served by a service person who hadn't been doing her job for long. But she really tried very hard and was absolutely polite and friendly so that we felt really comfortable and stayed for another round. We would like to give them 5 stars. But then we met the owner and his wife. Both were very rude, negative and almost arrogant. We definitely won't be coming back here again. But luckily there are more restaurants in Weilburg where you can stop by and where you will be treated politely.

On a warm, sunny evening, of which there weren't too many until the beginning of June, my wife and I headed for this location. Sitting outside we ordered different gins and tonics. After a while we were informed that a gin and a special tonic were not available. Okay, it's a shame, it can happen. Gins were then served to us and the joy at the first sip, with the setting sun nothing stood in the way. Until we looked at the glasses. Full of water/limescale stains. Not a little, but really dirty. After my complaint we had to wait some time for the second attempt. The service worker who then appeared was hard to beat in terms of unfriendliness. The catering industry is fighting for its reputation and has been really hit in recent years and then this employee is really the figurehead? Then the operator is either doing really well and running this restaurant as a pastime, or there is simply nothing better on the market. If it takes us to Weilburg again, we will no longer stay there as guests.

I was very disappointed, I think it was the boss, how she treated us! Cheeky and rude, a derogatory, low-level tone when paying. I had clearly answered which table we ate at and had a cappuccino outside. Then I got in trouble because she only got half of it. She snapped at me, which I would think of not mentioning what we had eaten! An absolute disgrace in this way! Afterwards I politely asked for the receipt anyway and she just replied; There he is (in a tone that was absolutely derogatory and condescending)! We definitely won't be visiting this place or whatever it is anymore!

On a cold Saturday we stopped at the bar for a beer with a good friend. After I ordered two small beers from the boss, I ordered a third from the waitress. The answer I got was “I don’t have any small ones”. The lady seemed a bit out of concept and overloaded to me. We then decided to change location. A pity…… But apparently they didn't need it.

Wir sind Nachmittags zum Essen hier eingekehrt. Der Service aufmerksam, es war aber auch nichts los. Die Preise eher gehoben. Das Essen kam schnell und war gut. Hätte etwas wärmer sein können. Was uns aber sehr gestört hat - und was wir auch persönlich dem Servicepersonal sagten - sind die vielen Staub- und Spinnweben an den Wänden und jeder Ecke. Auch der Boden war nicht gerade sauber. Vielleicht einfach mal absaugen, dann sieht das gleich viel ordentlicher aus.

Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service! Das Schnitzel war perfekt zubereitet bzw. souffliert. Keinerlei Fertigprodukte, gute Qualität der Zutaten: Gebackene Kartoffeln statt Pommes zum Schnitzel, zum Rumpsteak Kartoffelmuffins. Toll!

Ein wirklich sehr gutes Schnitzel. Auch die Soße und die Beilagen waren super. Alles war hausgemacht. Das ist echt selten.

Sehr schöne Lage direkt am Marktplatz. Das Essen war so lala. Sehr fad... Burrata war aus, als Ersatz gab es Mozzarella - natürlich zum gleichen Preis. Auf den Service musste man lange warten. Schließlich bin ich zum bezahlen reingegangen. Für zwei Personen haben wir knapp 60 Euro mit Vorspeise bezahlt. Dafür war es leider zu viel.

Wenn man auf gute Küche in einem gemütlich und gut umsorgten Ambiente genießen möchte, sollte man hier auf jeden Fall einkehren. Die Handschrift des Kochs ist einzigartig, besonders und sehr gut.

Waren zur besten Essenszeit Sonntags um 12:30 vor Ort. Freundliches Personal, tolles Ambiente drinnen wie draußen. Das Essen kam flott und war wirklich sehr, sehr lecker: Schnitzel so fluffig paniert wie selten mit tollen Beilagen. Teigtaschen mit Ricotta-Spinatfüllung: Sehr gut! Die Portionen hatten genau die richtige Größe, alles in Allem: eine echte Empfehlung! Weiter so👍👍👍

Schöne Lage direkt am Marktplatz. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und auf eine charmante Art auch etwas chaotisch. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist nicht sehr groß aber ausreichend. Die Qualität ist in Ordnung. Die Speisen sind nett angerichtet und die Portionen in Ordnung. Bei den Preisen würde ich mir allerdings beispielsweise beim Antipasti Teller frischen Serano und Salami wünschen. Beides war sicher nicht vom Stück sondern Packungsware. Die Art der Zusammenstellung mit Zwiebeln, Gurken und Tomaten eher ungewöhnlich bei Antipasti. Aber auch mal was anderes. Insgesamt aus meiner Sicht eher Durchschnitt.

Auf unserer Lahnradtour haben wir am 24.07.23 eine Nacht in Weilburg verbracht und abends im "Alten aRthaus" gegessen. Sehr freundlicher Service und sehr gutes Essen. Wir haben uns bei Hava und Michael sehr wohlgefühlt. Wir kommen wieder! P.S. Das mit dem Apfelpfannkuchen holen wir bei unserem nächsten Besuch nach! :-)

Selten eine so unfreundliche, inkompetent Bedienung erlebt. Keine Begrüßung, sofort aufdringlich nach der Bestellung gedrängt. Ich habe dann Steak bestellt und darum gebeten, dass es durch ist. Ihre Meinung: "Das schmeckt doch nicht!" Ich versucht zu erklären, dass es sehr unschön ist, eine rote Pfütze auf dem Teller zu haben. Sie fragt, ob ich türkischer Herkunft bin, ich bejahe. Ich noch einen Aperol bestellt. Sie darauf:" Klar, Alkohol geht, aber hauptsache nicht blutig!" Habe den Zusammenhang, genauso wenig wie alle anderen mit mir zusammen am Tisch, nicht verstanden, aber gut. Fast 45 Minuten auf das Essen gewartet. Angeblich wäre drinnen viel los. Weiß nicht, wenn oder was sie meinte, aber drinnen wsr leer. Draußen auch nicht viel los, aber ookkayyyy... Wir waren zu siebt, vier haben was komplett anderes bekommen. Und die vier hatten alke das gleiche bestellt. Aber nein, die Bedienung war der festen Überzeugung, dass wir so bestellt haben. Wir werden alle einfach überhört. WIR HABEN FALSCH BESTELLT, SIE HAT SO SERVIERT... Dann, aus dem Nichts kam die Aussage, dass die Gäste, die vor uns da waren, diese Bestellung aufgegeben haben, und dass nicht gebucht wurde und irgendwie der Koch jetzt die Bestellung bekommen hat, versuchte sie sich dann da raus zu reden... wir fragten dann, ob die Kunden die nach uns kommen dann unsere Bestellung bekommen werden? Nein, natürlich nicht! Sie fragte dann, wie mein Steak war, meine Antwort: " Sehr moslemischen, und der Aperol verleiht dem ganzen noch mal den richtigen kick!" Im Restaurant haben wir an der Theke eine Erklärung für dieses unmögliche Verhalten gefunden: Auf der Theke ein Schild mit folgendem Hinweis: " Ich kann nur zu einem pro Tag freundlich sein. Heute ist nicht dein Tag!" Wir vermuten, dass die Dame Inhaberin ist, denn Angestellte dürften sich so ein Benehmen, was auch durch andere Rezensionen bekannt ist, nicht erlauben. Sehr nette Bedienung, sehr gute Gin Auswahl

Wir waren Pfingstsonntag mit 20 Leuten im Rahmen einer Radtour zum Mittagessen im Alten Arthaus. Wir hatten vorab reserviert und bestellt. Das Essen schmeckte sehr gut und vor allem wurde es super-schnell und super-freundlich serviert. Auf jeden Fall sehr zu empfehlen, nicht nur für Radtouren!

Schönes Ambiente, aber keine Empfehlung für Service und Essen. Schweinefleisch war innen noch roh, wurde reklamiert und von der Servicekraft wieder mitgenommen, mit der Bemerkung, welchen Wein sie dafür bringen dürfte. Dieser ging aber dann doch nicht aufs Haus, sondern wurde später normal berechnet. Das gleiche Fleisch wurde dann in Häppchen geschnitten wieder serviert 🙄 Die Servicekraft konnte unseren Einwand nicht verstehen.

Einfach wunderbar. Tolles Essen, sehr freundliches und zuvorkommend Personal. Einfach Top und sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr gutes Essen und zuvorkommender Service

Wir sind regelmäßig hier und kommen immer wieder gerne! Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker und die Bedienung sowie der Wirt locker und authentisch. Wir hatten schon unzählige gemütliche und schöne Abende hier. Ein Besuch ist absolut zu empfehlen!

Weilburg war eigentlich etwas enttäuschend für uns. Aber: wir entschlossen uns mittags für einen Salat im arthaus bistro: perfektes Dressing, Salat knackig, Garnelen ebenfalls perfekt. Nach zwei Stunden Stadtnummel waren wir wieder da für eine Flasche Wein. Später: das Hotelrestaurant wirkte eher abweisend und wir machten auf dem Absatz kehrt und landeten wieder im Bistro. Für einen perfekten Wolfsbarsch mit knackigem, mediterranem Gemüse, perfekt abgeschmeckt und mit lässiger Eleganz angerichtet. Das letzte ähnlich perfekte Erlebnis hatten wir in Fulda, im Goldenen Karpfen. Übrigens: Preis/Leistung: zu günstig!

Hier stimmt einfach alles. Entspannte freundliche Atmosphäre, aufmerksamer Service, frisch zubereitete Speisen auf hohem Niveau. Was will man mehr!?!

Haben draußen gesessen. Mega, das es unterschiedliche Sitzgruppen gab. Der Service war super und zuvorkommend. Essen hat nicht lange gedauert(auch wenn es der Nachbartisch anders sah-aber sie waren eh nur am meckern). Das Essen war uuuunheimlich lecker, für mich das beste Champignons-Rahmschnitzel, was ich je gegessen hab!!!! Man merkt, daß alles frisch zubereitet ist. Das Personal total lieb und nett.
