Everything was fine, but the pizza wasn't my thing.

A great pizzeria with friendly service! Wine glasses brimming and pizza very tasty and reasonably priced. The interior is a bit dated, but it still retains its charm. I immediately felt at home.

It's September 11, 2025, at 8:13 AM Late in the evening on September 10, I ordered a pizza. It was delicious, I have to give them that, and the service was great too. I know the place and have to say it's mediocre, but they have good food... or so I thought. So, it's 8:15 AM and I'm sitting on the toilet with severe diarrhea... for the third time. I've ordered something there several times before and always had a strange feeling in my stomach, but it went away and it wasn't anything serious. My digestion is fast, too, but what's going on yesterday and today (now) is unbelievable... either it's due to poor hygiene or something in the food was bad. Because experiencing something like that on the toilet is really awful, especially 20 minutes after eating the pizza. I'm giving it 2 stars, although I'd like to give it 1 star.

Unfortunately, it wasn't that good. Zucchini casserole was completely overcooked and oily. The calzone was carelessly topped and the dough wasn't even cooked through. Unfortunately, it wasn't enjoyable. That was probably the last time... What a shame.

Pizza used to be good... Service was very nice... Ambiance is getting old

Despite it being a typical Italian restaurant with dated decor and an overly extensive menu, I always enjoy going there. Unfortunately, the wait is sometimes quite long, and sometimes you get the wrong thing. But the prices, the portions are fantastic, and the owner is friendly... I've been there countless times and will probably go there countless more, because it's delicious... :)

We sat here on the terrace and ate pizza. You can tell the chef knows his craft. Afterwards, we finished off with a second grappa and a pleasant conversation with Oratio. The evening was very pleasant and we will remember it fondly. Sicily in Weilburg.

I was here for the first time the day before yesterday. The welcome was friendly, and despite it being a Friday evening, I was still able to choose my own seating on the terrace. I ordered a Jägerschnitzel (hunter's schnitzel) with tender meat, obviously not from the deep fryer but from the pan. 👍 The sauce was unfortunately thin and relatively tasteless, as were the mushrooms in it... what a shame about the good meat! The side salad was fresh and generous. Now, unfortunately, to the reason for only 3 stars in the overall rating: The restaurant gives a dirty, untidy impression both inside and out, and the outdoor areas also need to be brought up to standard. Inside, the restaurant seems dark and partly "disused." It's a shame, really, because: a great, quiet location and plenty of free parking... not a given in Weilburg's city center.

I've been coming to Pizzeria Michelangelo regularly for years – and every time it feels a bit like coming home. The food is simply excellent: The carpaccio is a dream, and I love the pizza every time! The service is incredibly warm and attentive; you can tell the passion they put into their work. And if you head to the bar after dinner, the evening is perfect. Highly recommended!

I was there this evening with my wife and received very friendly service. Since the weather is so nice, we sat outside, and it was very pleasant. We both enjoyed the food; it was fresh and delicious. We'd love to come back. 😊

Die Terrasse war äußerst ungepflegt und zwischen den Blumen wurden die Bananenschalen entsorgt. Der Weg zur Toilette war von Dreck geebnet. Alleine die Lampen der Toilette, welche von innen und außen dreckig waren sagen alles. Die defekte Steckdose welche in der Toilette aus der Wand gerissen war ist in meinen Augen echt gefährlich. Die Pizza hat soweit ganz gut geschmeckt, bis die langen Haare des Koch auftauchten. Die Tische waren nicht nur dreckig sondern auch mit Vogeldreck dekoriert. Die Tischdecke sah nicht besser aus. Beim Service muss man aufpassen, da es keine Absprache gibt und man alles doppelt bestellen kann. Der Chef hat dann auch seine Sendung gesehen obwohl die Gäste Fußballfinale gucken wollten, dies ging leider nicht da er nicht gewillt war. Die 15 Personen haben somit bezahlt und gingen.

The terrace was extremely unkempt, and banana peels had been discarded among the flowers. The path to the restroom was littered with dirt. The restroom lights alone, which were dirty inside and out, say it all. The broken electrical outlet that had been ripped out of the wall in the restroom is, in my opinion, truly dangerous. The pizza tasted pretty good until the chef's long hair appeared. The tables were not only dirty but also covered in bird droppings. The tablecloth didn't look any better. You have to be careful with the service, as there's no coordination, and you can order everything twice. The chef then watched his show even though the guests wanted to watch the football final, but unfortunately, this wasn't possible because he wasn't willing to. So the 15 people paid and left.

The pizza was world-class! Very friendly owners.

Had ordered liver with onions, the food was a disgrace, pieces of liver swimming in oil, ordered the fries with mayo, paid for that too and it was missing, never again liver at the Italian, only at the Greek restaurant, leftover food for the garbage bin

Today we ordered a pizza from you, even though we always order from you, today you delivered us a pizza that tastes like nothing 0 stars paid 43 euros for it delivery ando a pizza tono dough too thick doesn't taste like pizza, the fish is dry and really strange. That was definitely the last time we ordered. Very dissatisfied - we could hardly taste the tomato sauce alone. If you make pizzas like that then I don't want to order from you anymore.

If you want to enjoy very good Italian cuisine in Weilburg, you should eat (and drink) here. You feel like you've been transported back to the Italy of olden times and everything else is just right here! I experienced one of the best Italians in a long time on the banks of the Lahn. Mille grazie!

The bread for the bruschetta was completely soggy and the pizza was tasteless and without love. This store used to be great, but in my opinion it's no longer worth visiting

Went for dinner today, October 17, 2024. Actually we just wanted to eat a little something. My wife ordered a tuna pizza and I ordered an antipasti platter. Both were very good and very plentiful. I can only recommend this Italian restaurant.

I ordered a pizza parma there and got a pizza without rocket with extra oil drizzled :( Pizza Parma is pizza base with sauce then rocket, ham and parmesan. They knew beforehand that the arugula wasn't good and didn't tell me because they ordered something else. But you should still pay the full price. I will never eat there again. So for those who want a super greasy/oily pizza, this is the place for you.

My Italian restaurant, where I enjoyed eating often over 30 years ago. And the Jupp pizza still tastes the same as it did back then.

Das Lokal sieht von der Frontseite recht einladend aus, deshalb sind wir rein. Die Tische verdreckt, der Boden nicht gekehrt. Das ändert sich auch nicht, wenn man sich an ihn setzt. Putzen und Sauberkeit ist nicht ihr Ding. Wenn man dann noch seitlich, von oben und von der anderen Lahnseite das Elend anguckt, hat man dort das letzte Mal gegessen. Als Anwohner kann dieses Etablissement kein Lieblingslokal werden, eher umgekehrt. Wir nennen ihn den Schmuddelitaliener😖

To write back against the previous negative reviews: I ate there twice, the first time Cappriciosa (anchovies extra, no problem) Already enjoyed the nice atmosphere that evening. On the second evening I had to wait longer because the chef made me a minestrone (which is usually not available in this heat and could "tip over") But the conversations were the best! Any time! I think this pizzeria is just great, it's not a fancy, authentic place and the owner is just honest, but I've known him for 40 years.

Ordered for years. Now it's just bad. Salad without taste. Ordered a 4 cheese pizza yesterday, delivered and opened. See photo below. I was supposed to bring pizza over and only get my money back after discussion. That was really the last time here. What a shame!

We ordered a Tuscan pizza and an Italian salad to take away. It was the worst pizza ever. The dough was "doughy". The surface was partly very roughly cut. Really not good in taste. The salad was also carelessly cut very coarsely. Poorly seasoned.

Just a disaster. I've been disappointed several times. Actually didn't want to order anymore. But I thought give them another chance. Everything is loveless. Pizza not cooked properly. Huge chunks on the pizza. There were such huge tomatoes and ham etc. in the salad that you couldn't even eat it. We're not even talking about the taste. It was really the last time. Never again.

Ich habe 3 Pizzen bestellt. Ich sag mal so der Koch hat ein echtes Problem mit Haarausfall und die Pizza muss man daheim nochmal in den Ofen schieben, da der Teig noch roh war… service war ok Ich habe die Pizzen abgeholt, auf diese haben ich fast 30 min länger gewartet als gedacht. Ansonsten war das Personal ok

Die Pizza war sehr lecker und man konnte in schönem Ambiente draußen sitzen mit Blick auf die Schöne Lahnschleife.

Weiß echt net wie ich das beschreiben soll… An erster stelle möchte ich kurz mal sagen das die Bedienung am Telefon wirklich sehr sehr nett war und meines Wissens nach auch alles verstanden hat. Also and die Dame echt super mega zufrieden. Dann mal zum Koch/Bäcker wie man das auch in der Pizza Branche nennt. Zwei Pizzen bestellt. Eine normale Tunfischpizza mit zwiebeln und eine mit Knoblauch und Peperoni. Angekommen ist zwei mal Tonno mit zwiebeln Peperoni und Knobi. Einfach Falsch…. Dazu kommt das die Grundliegende Bestellung ja auf Tunfisch basiert. Heist ja das erstmal eine Normale Tonno vorbereitet wird und dann die extras on top. Nun jaa… Das bild dazu zeigt ja wie viel Tonno drauf ist fast nichts…. Dazu zwiebeln als Hauptbeilage wie es aussieht, und den käse kann man wie ein Brett aufnehmen und ablegen….. Also ich weis ja nicht. Habe schon oft bestellt und finde eigentlich das Michelangelo echt gute Pizzen macht aber dass ist in meinem Augen keine Pizza…. Sry vielleicht kann man sich da ja irgendwie einigen aber mich als 5 Sterne Kunde definitiv verloren…

Ambiente: Alt und in die Jahre gekommen. Draußen viel Müll und nicht sehr einladend. Essen 08/15 italienisch. Mache ich zuhause besser. Service ist ok. Ich würde allerdings nicht noch einmal herkommen.

Gute Küche, freundliche Personal und die Auswahl von Vorspeisen und Gerichten ist sehr gut

Das Bestellsystem wurde leider geändert. Man hat einen Mindestbestellwert von 20€ auf die nochmal 3€ Lieferung drauf kommen. Das Personalisieren von z.B. Pizzen ist ohne weiteres auch nicht mehr möglich. Das Essen wurde eine halbe Stunde später als vereinbart geliefert. Die Pizza war gut wie immer. Der Joghurt-Dip war versalzen, der Salat teilweise dreckig und nicht frisch. Die Lasagne war, für ein traditionelles empfohlenes Gericht, bestenfalls OK. Sehr schade, habe in Vergangenheit gerne Bestellt. Werde mir das zukünftig besser Überlegen.

Das Essen war OK aber die Wartezeit kann noch besser werden auch wenn alles frisch zubereitet wird kann es nicht so lange Dauern vor allem wenn sonst kaum einer da war.

Wir kommen immer wieder gerne dorthin. Der Chef hat mit uns ein paar private Worte ausgetauscht und die Pizza hat ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Unser Aussie hat was zu trinken bekommen und so waren wir rundum zufrieden. Bis demnächst wieder ...

Auf der Durchreise diesen Italiener entdeckt. Von den Bewertungen zwar abgeschreckt, aber aufgrund mangelnder Alternativen doch probiert. Vor Ort gegessen, die Pizza war gut. Im steinofen gebacken, das Personal sehr nett und absolut nicht aufdringlich. Der Laden hat absolutes Potential, das kann noch ausgeschöpft werden. Insgesamt kein Geheimtipp, aber ein stabiles gut hat die Pizza sich verdient. Eine Bewertung von 3,7 kann ich nicht nachvollziehen.

Top Essen zu einem angemessenen Preis....und ein liebevoll geschmücktes Ambiete... Hier gehen wir öfters hin....Standardgerichte wie Schnitzel oder Salat oder Pizza sind sehr empfehlenswert...man kann nichts falsch machen.. Liegt im Sommer an dem Radweg(im Winter natürlich auch) und man kann sich herrlich auf die Terasse mit den Zitronenbäumchen setzen....

Die Lage an der Lahn und der Eindruck von Außen ist ganz schön. Allerdings wird man beim betreten schon auf den Boden der Tatsachen zurück geholt. Im hinteren Bereich sehr altes Mobiliar, keine besondere Atmosphäre. Der vordere Bereich ist etwas moderner, allerdings war er bei meinem Besuch Mittags nicht eingedeckt. Sehr unfreundlicher und bescheidener Service und die Qualität der Speisen (ich hatte Nudeln) war unterdurchschnittlich. Ich kann diese Location leider nicht empfehlen.

In die Jahre gekommen ... Kann man mit gutem Gewissen sagen ... Ich kenne auch Leute, die das Ambiente eher als schmuddeligen Sperrmüll bezeichnen würden ... Also hier ist dringend Bedarf angesagt ... Aber ganz gewiss auch an der Küche ... Die Pizza hat ein Niveau und Geschmack einer türkischen Dönerbude ... Nur billigste Zutaten werden hier verwendet und verarbeitet ... geht garnicht ... Der Service war zumindest freundlich und schnell ... Gut, ich war wochentags um 19 Uhr auch der einigste Gast. Woran das wohl liegt?

Qualitativ eher nur Durchschnitt. Pizza ist okay. Nudeln sind nicht so gut. Lieferservice prompt und nett.

We have been to this restaurant several times and have never been let down. The staff is always friendly and you are treated like a part of the family rather than a guest. The food has never disappointed. This is my first choice of restaurant when we go out in Weilburg.

...manchmal Hölle. Extrem anspruchsvoll hier Kunde zu sein. An guten Tagen ist die Pizza extrem lecker und an schlechten Tagen regt man sich darüber auf. Es ist eine Pizzeria, welche, bei meinem Besuch, nicht gut besucht ist. Die Pizza war in Ordnung aber nicht mehr. Im Gegenzug muss ich sagen dass der Preis dafür in Ordnung geht.

Ich wurde sofort von einer sehr nette Bedienung empfangen, die aufmerksam und schnell war. Sehr grosse Auswahl auf der Speisekarte. Es gab alleine 3 Seiten Pizzen in 2 verschiedenen Größen.Die Preise waren moderat. Das Lokalhatte ein nettes Ambiente. Es hat eine sehr schöne Lage direkt an der Meine kleine Pizza mit Sonderwunsch nach 10 Minuten, Sie war recht gut. Der Teig war locker und knusprig. Üppig belegt mit frischen Zutaten und saftig. Sie war leider etwas arg Käselastig und obwohl die Davolo scharf sein sollte, war sie es leider überhupt nicht. Insgesamt war es trotzdem gut.

Beim Betreten war nur ein Gast anwesend und vom Haus 2 Damen und ein Herr (vermutlich sogar der Inhaber). Die Begrüßung war eher beiläufig und wirkte interessenlos, als ein Empfang von Gästen. Wir waren unsicher, ob wir freie Platzwahl haben und versuchten Blickkontakt zu einen dieser 3 Personen zu bekommen. Wir durften frei wählen und erhielten kurze Zeit später die Karten auf den Tisch gelegt ohne weiteren Kommentar. Fragen, ob wir evtl. schon etwas trinken möchten, Fehlanzeige. Nach ca. 15 Minuten Wartezeit, die Karten lagen geschlossen auf unserem Tische, versuchten wir erneut, uns bemerkbar zu machen. Der Chef lief telefonierend hin und her, unterhielt sich dabei mit einem Auslieferungsfahrer über eine dem nicht bekannte Straße, ging telefonierend nach draußen kam wieder rein....... aber nicht zu uns. Das weibliche "Personal" hatte scheinbar auch andere Aufgaben, als sich um die Gäste zu kümmern. Nach ca. 20 Minuten haben wir das Lokal unvollrichteter Dinge verlassen und hungrig das nächste angesteuert. Über Getränke und Speisen können wir nichts sagen, da keine Bestellung aufgenommen wurde.

Nette Bedienung, schön eingerichtet aber da die Sonne schien haben wir die Terrasse bevorzugt. Getränke sowie das Essen ließen nicht lange auf sich warten. Essen war gut und ausreichend.

Wir haben uns spontan überlegt hier essen zu gehen; es war relativ leer und so konnten wir super auf der Terrasse sitzen. Neben uns saß ein weiteres Pärchen. Wir haben wie in den Bildern zu sehen Pizza Salami und Spaghetti Carbonara gegessen. Dazu hatten wir Cola bestellt; hier hat ein wenig "Sprudel" gefehlt. Ein wenig als hätte sie schon etwas gestanden. Das Essen kam sehr schnell, allerdings war bei den Spaghetti eine Riesen Portion extra da, leider verschwendet. Die Pizza war nichts besonderes. Die Portionen sind zu dem Preis super.

Freundlicher Service auch noch in den späten Abendstunden! Das Bestellte leider nicht erhalten! Das Essen ist eher durchschnittlich einer normalen Pizzeria entsprechend!
