An absolute highlight! We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The food was excellent, fresh, high-quality, and prepared with great attention to detail. The atmosphere is very inviting and tasteful. The new owners deserve special mention; they are bringing a fresh start with great dedication, passion, and warmth. You can immediately tell that quality, hospitality, and the well-being of their guests are very important to them. The ambiance is very nice. The food is also quite okay, but they only offer potato gratin as a side dish. This was the case with 8 out of 9 meals. However, the extremely rude service is unacceptable. We haven't experienced anything like it in a long time. The staff were in a terrible mood and incredibly unprofessional. The worst part was this: several pieces of porcelain were broken off one of the appetizer plates. It's bad enough that this was ignored in the kitchen. As luck would have it, I cut myself on the plate. I informed the extremely unfriendly server. Her reaction was unbelievable. She just shrugged and gave me an annoyed look. When I asked if she didn't care, the answer was "yes." Incredibly unprofessional and outrageous. Never again!

The service was impossible and extremely unfriendly. All the dishes at our table (12 people) were far too peppery. Balsamic glaze was everywhere. Any criticism, which was voiced politely and was entirely justified, was dismissed as irrelevant. Incredibly bad. Never again.

Basically, a nice-looking restaurant. BUT: The service was poor. First, the owner came over, asked what we'd like to drink, turned around without a word, and left immediately. The wrong food arrived first, and after we complained, something else came. We just accepted it. They couldn't tell us what we ended up with. The food was very garlicky, and the pasta with button mushrooms and porcini mushrooms was completely devoid of porcini. My neighbor had the same dish and at least had half a porcini mushroom. As for the ambiance: There are many errors in the menu, and it's very cramped and stuffy. In conclusion: I'm very disappointed, especially considering the prices.

What a dump! We'd barely arrived when we realized the owner was overwhelmed. We had to leave our jackets in the bar area ourselves, and then things escalated when we complained about the poor service. We sat down at a table and were immediately seen as a nuisance by the staff, who never bothered to come around. We won't be going back. A truly dismal experience. We don't want to see that guy again.

Disappointing and unpleasant – never again! Unfortunately, I have to describe my experience at this restaurant as one of the most unpleasant I have ever had. Upon entering, the room was completely overcrowded, the air stuffy and heavy – it felt like getting on an overheated, packed bus. Instead of a welcoming atmosphere, there was chaos: guests looking for seats had to squeeze past each other, and the lack of space was so extreme that it was almost impossible to move. The owner seemed annoyed and impatient from the start. Instead of attending to his guests' needs, he repeatedly asked us to make room so he could get through with his serving cart. The atmosphere was tense, and it felt like we were more of a nuisance than a guest. When we finally decided to leave early without eating, I did so with a bad feeling – not only because of the poor service, but also because of the disrespectful way the guests were treated. A restaurant should be a place of relaxation and enjoyment, but here it was nothing but stress and discomfort. Conclusion: Never again. There are plenty of other restaurants that value a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. My advice: Choose one of them.

It was quite disappointing. We had reserved a table, but it felt like it was blocking the aisle. The waiter kept complaining that he couldn't get through. We just wanted to be guests, not a nuisance. We left without ordering anything else; we really didn't need to put up with that.

Delicious food. Everything, from soup to main course, was very, very tasty. The turkey was very tender and juicy in a delicious sauce. Excellent wine. Friendly and very attentive staff. And a lovely, cozy atmosphere.

Well, no lie: This is one of the best, if not the best, restaurant we've ever been to. During our short visit to Goslar, we really enjoyed our Saturday and Sunday meals. The service is super professional, and the food is so delicious you'll lick your hands. Soups are among my favorite dishes – anyone who can make fish and tomato soup of this amazing quality definitely deserves 5 stars. I love this restaurant and will always come back on every trip to Goslar! The presentation with trolleys may seem very "70s," but this is precisely what makes this place so great. Maintain these high standards – I will always be an extremely satisfied guest. You were a host par excellence!

We were a party of 7 and all of us were extremely happy with our choice of dishes, but especially the quality and the service. The prices tend to be somewhat on the high side, but the food was well prepared and delicious. We've already made reservations to return on Saturday night! The owner is lovely, and very accommodating. They don't take Visa or Mastercard, so be prepared and take cash.

Excellent food. The Gorgonzola sauce is the best I've eaten this year. I could splurge on it, but my wife doesn't like it.

I probably had too high expectations... At first, there were no conditions in sight and you had to look for someone, but it can happen... When the drinks were served, there was a dead fly in the glass... It can happen... I imagined my pasta with turkey strips to be different, but that's probably just a matter of taste... It was edible, though. My drink was then empty and taken away... No one asked if I wanted anything else... For me, it was already over anyway... We ordered a tiramisu anyway. It was okay, but not what I expected... The consistency was quite firm and more like a marshmallow... But then a piece of aluminum foil appeared, and I really didn't feel like it anymore... When paying, they even count the amount when I fumble for money. I found that rather unpleasant. But oh well, I don't have to and won't go back...

Unfortunately, we were drawn in by the good reviews. The food was okay. There was a piece of aluminum foil in the tiramisu?! You can tell the wait staff haven't had any training in the restaurant industry. Furthermore, the opening hours on the website and the prices are completely wrong/different. Unfortunately, this is a wasted potential for this top location.

The food was okay, the soup even surprisingly good! The service, however, isn't convincing... The language barrier is particularly challenging for English-speaking guests, and paying is quite inconvenient. Anyone who actually wants to pay by card is asked to go to the counter; not without being repeatedly reminded that "cash is better." Delivering food to the tables on a trolley is also rather odd in such a small restaurant. The kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m., and afterward, guests are entertained by the sound of scrubbing. Anyone who wants to reorder something is told that they should have ordered everything at once 🤷🏼‍♀️ Conclusion: next time, I'll be back at "Trüffel."

We were there with a larger group and were very satisfied with the service and the food! It was delicious 👌 all the dishes arrived almost at the same time, so no one had to wait long. We didn't have anything "pre-made" here; everything was lovingly prepared. The owner was very friendly and gave us a quiet seat despite the late hour. Sure, it's a bit cramped, but that's part of the charm of the restaurant. We'll definitely be back ✨

The food is pre-prepared, standard fare. The mushrooms in the cream sauce were partly raw. The portions are quite small. Finally, you're asked to leave without even having a chance to go to the bathroom.

2 different dishes and both dishes were very tasty. Pork tenderloin in pepper sauce and fried calf's liver. A chef who is not afraid of spices and knows the art of seasoning food. Everyone can cook, but few can taste it👍👍🤗

We chose the restaurant based on the positive reviews and made a reservation in advance. We ended up standing around in the restaurant for quite a while, but no one from the service department was around. Unfortunately, there was no sign of a cloakroom, so our coats and umbrellas were left over the back of the chair, which didn't really fit with the very appealing ambiance. The ambiance was overall nice, the food delicious, but the service "just wasn't having the best day." One of the two ladies seemed a bit "annoyed" and overwhelmed. (Some guests without reservations were turned away, others were allowed to stay, and others waited a very long time for the bill that had been sent multiple times...it seemed a bit irritating.) There was no digestif menu. When asked, they were told, "But we have grappa" (it was really good). The espresso was a nice coffee, but not espresso. It wasn't possible to add a tip when paying by card. The comment was, "That's not possible." Very strange, but it worked perfectly in all Goslar restaurants. All in all, it was a nice evening for us, but...there's still room for improvement.

First things first: The food is very good 👍 Unfortunately, our drinks, the Kirchhaft and the Coke, were filled with water, even though we had paid 4.90 euros each for both drinks 🙄 It's very cramped inside and you can't even imagine it being completely full 😕

I'm very disappointed! It's very cramped inside. There are cushions on small tables, making the space even more limited. The decorations are for sale, but that's no reason to clutter a store that's already cramped with them. The waiter is overwhelmed by even the smallest things. Instead of cherry juice, we got cherry spritzer, and the Coke was also diluted with water, which is a real disgrace. The food was okay, except for the chicken, which tasted like it had been reheated three days ago. I'm really disappointed! 😔

Really a nice place to eat - The food was really delicious and the service from 2 sweet waitresses was flawless. We had a really nice evening, but a bit of a bad ending. The management is still living in the Middle Ages and does not take any modern/serious credit cards - Hopeless!!! That we did not get a receipt for the meal, after being forced to pay in cash.... So check your wallet for cash before you go in - and if you are covered - then give it a go, it is very delicious! - If not, find a place from this millennium!

Aha, 'THE (fake) Italian in Goslar'! Macaroni combined with spaghetti, instead of porcini mushrooms, there were mushy canned chanterelles, the requested duck breast, which was advertised on a chalkboard outside the door, wasn't even available. The menu at least listed duck leg, which also wasn't available, but instead featured decomposing, slimy mushrooms. Instead of a grilled pork fillet, there was something more like boiled meat without any roasted flavors. Beef fillet or rump steak wasn't even on the menu—but that's probably for the best. To sum it up: seven meals (not for lunch, but from the menu!) for nothing—in the truest sense of the word! And an insult to real Italian restaurants! The only thing worth praising is the very friendly and attentive service. The ambience makes a decent impression, but in retrospect it reminds me of a barbershop with lots of bling and poor quality.

Vorsicht,immer dazusagen,dass man das Gericht von der draußen platzierten Mittagstischkarte möchte,sonst bekommt man den regulären Preis auf der Speisekarte berechnet (bei mir 7€(!) Differenz.Auf Reklamation wurde ungehalten und unverschämt reagiert und mir ein anderes Lokal empfohlen!Nie wieder!

Das Essen war superlecker, die Atmosphäre gemütlich und der Chef hat nett mit uns "geplaudert"! Wir kommen wieder ... Allerdings sollten die Räumlichkeiten der Toilette überdacht werden und es könnte etwas sauberer sein.

The food at Aubergine remains undeniably delicious, showcasing culinary skill and high-quality ingredients. However, the service during our recent visit fell shockingly short of expectations, especially for a restaurant with such a strong reputation and premium pricing. Having dined here on and off for the last 20 years, we were accustomed to excellent experiences in the past. This time, rattling food carts disrupted the ambiance, wine and water glasses were left unattended, and the single server failed to offer a tasting for a newly opened bottle. Despite confirming that card payments were accepted, they later claimed otherwise. Cheap paper napkins and inattentive, unprofessional service made the experience worse than dining at budget establishments. The excellent food could not compensate for the abysmal service, leaving the steep prices unjustified and the overall experience disappointing.

With a group in Bad Harzburg. Eating cold, mushy fried potatoes instead of hash browns. Waited more than an hour for this. Price significantly higher than on the card at the entrance. Never again...

The food was really tasty, but we found the service not friendly. They only speak German and they do not adapt to English, even if you ask nicely. They were therefore very short and not very friendly.

We wanted to have lunch there and the menu outside said liver at 17.90 Inside the card it was shown as 29.90 The waiter told us that it was an oversight and as a gesture of goodwill he offered us 19.90 Unfortunately, the menu outside hasn't been changed either I found that to be calculating

We were a group of 9 people and went there for lunch. When ordering we were told that we had to order the same side dish for the same dishes otherwise the kitchen would get confused. The food served was very tasty, even if the gratin potatoes were actually just fried potatoes with a little cheese gratinated. It later turned out that one of the turkey schnitzels was undercooked. When we pointed this out to the owner, he said the only thing we could do was "throw the schnitzel in" again. There was no apology nor did the owner care. He just said that you don't have to complain about it earlier if half the dish has already been eaten. When there was no tip we were thrown out with the words: "Get out of here! You are better off at "Butterhanne" (another restaurant in Goslar)." The last of our group had to put on their jackets outside. None of us have ever experienced such unfriendly and rude service, and it came from the owner personally. I cannot recommend this restaurant at all, I would prefer not to give it a star.

Were here again after 2 years, still very stylish restaurant, service very nice and attentive, food very casual...highly recommended. PS: at 7 p.m. the restaurant was full to capacity.

My wife had ordered duck breast but was given goose breast. When she objected, the owner assured her it was actually duck breast; he bought them himself. However, my wife is a cook herself, has already won a cooking show on TV and can distinguish goose from duck very well. Either the boss doesn't know what you've sold him or he thinks his guests are stupid. If something is out and you want to serve something else instead, then you should say so. This applies not only to meat, but also to vegetables. The grilled vegetables originally offered with the duck breast we ordered ultimately turned out to be red cabbage. It goes perfectly with goose breast, but not necessarily with duck breast, and red cabbage doesn't work as mixed grilled vegetables. In a good, high-priced restaurant you shouldn't underestimate your guests. And if you do, at least be honest.

Tourist trap! Didn't get the dishes we ordered. Apparently all their dishes are so similar that even the waiter can't tell the difference between them. Side dishes are boiled frozen vegetables that taste watery. Careless operation. We had to get up to pay after waiting a long time for the bill. The restaurant is cash only, which can be okay if it is stated before entering. Several other guests had to go into town to find ATMs after their dinner. Incomprehensible that this restaurant has such a high rating on Google.

Ich hatte in diesem Restaurant einen Tisch für 2 reserviert um unseren Jahrestag zu zelebrieren. Vorlaufzeit war eine Woche. Wir bekamen einen nicht fertig Gedekten Tisch für 4. Kein Besteck, keine Kerze und ein Fleck auf der Tischdecke. Ok, ich wollte zu diesem Zeitpunkt die Stimmung nicht ruinieren. Wir setzten uns und warteten. Und warteten Und warteten. Nach 10 bis 15 Minuten bekamen wir dann endlich die Karte und wählten in Ruhe, legten die Karten beiseite und warteten. Nach weiteren 10 Minuten kam dann mal endlich ein Kellner und nahm die Bestellungen auf. Bestellt hatten wir Überbackene Tortellini in Gorgonzolasoße, dazu einen trockenen Rotwein. Der Wein kam sogar fast zügig an unseren Tisch, zwar in Gläsern mit Sprung, aber immer hin. Eine Ewigkeit später stellte man uns dann das dazu Bestellte Essen WORTLOS auf den Tisch. Ich wollte schon anfangen zu Essen, aber Moment. Da stimmte etwas nicht. Meiner Frau viel es auch auf. Das was uns da serviert wurde waren keine Tortelini, es waren Penne mit Broccoli. Also haben wir den Kellner gerufen und nachgefragt wieso wir nicht das bekommen haben, was wir bestellt haben. Der gab eine etwas schnippische Antwort, ungefähr wie folgt: Ja die Tortellini sind der Küche ausgegangen. Ich fragte ob wir dann bitte umbestellen dürften. Die Antwort, mehr als unverschämt, dass können wir tun, aber es würde dann lange dauern, da die Küche gerade viel zu tun habe. (Das Lokal war nicht sehr voll zu dem Zeitpunkt) Ich forderte dann wenigstens einen Preisnachlass, worum der Kellner sich kümmern wolle und an den Chef verwies, welchen ich auch gewünscht habe zu sprechen. Wir aßen also unsere überbackene Penne in wirklich wässriger Milch-Brokkoli Soße mit einem Hauch Gorgonzolaaroma und tranken den Wein aus den kaputten Gläsern. Als es ans Bezahlen ging bin ich nach vorne gegangen um wie versprochen mit dem Chef zu reden. Da teilte man mir mit, dass dieser GERADE gegangen sei. Ich bezahlte also die nicht mehr verhandelbare Rechnung während ich sachlich meinen Unmut bekundete. Der Kellner steckte das Geld in die Kasse und vergaß mir mein Wechselgeld zu geben, welches ich mit steigender Wut einforderte. Man bot mir nun einen Grappa an. So allmählich kam ich mir dann wirklich wie bei versteckter Kamera vor. Egal, einen Grappa kann man ja kaum schlecht Servieren und das klang gut. Meine Frau fragte ob sie anstelle des Grappa einen Masalla bekommen könne. Dies wurde verneint. Italiener ohne Masalla, immer mal wieder was neues. Alles in allem wird man da in JEDEM noch so heruntergekommenem Fastfood Restaurant erstens satter, zweitens besser und vor allem wie ein Gast bedient und drittens kommt man da auch günstiger weg. Und es schmeckt sogar.

We found the small restaurant very attractive from the outside and it was also beautifully decorated inside. The lunch menu had something for everyone! Special requests for small children were also addressed. The dishes were perfectly flavored and very delicately prepared. The price-performance ratio is very good. We were thrilled and can recommend the restaurant 100%.

I would avoid this place, service and food is poor and they demand CASH payment. This is not mentioned prior service and when you have no cash the staff get very rude and give you instructions to go to an ATM. (In German…) very poor service.

Vores kød (svinefilet og laks) var udemærket, tilbehøret var meget varmt, forhåbentligt ikke Micro opvarmet som vi gættede på (risene var så tørre at de kunne knase) Vi ville gerne have dessert, men blev ikke spurgt. Vi ville betale og gik selv til kassen, godt vi havde kontanter. Generelt, alle gæster bør behandles ens 🙂
