We were there for lunch and enjoyed very generous portions (schnitzel and brawn) at reasonable prices, the service staff was very friendly and accommodating, "sitting outside" on a spring day was the perfect rounding off...

Amazing food and staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had the rouladen which was fantastic and so filling! Many people sitting outside in the sun but we chose to be indoors as it was quite hot in the sun for us Aussies! Lovely place and highly recommend.

Centrally located right on the market square. You can also sit outside when the weather is nice. Regional game specialties are also available, of course. Cozy interior and very friendly and attentive staff. I really enjoyed it, and I'll be back.

I recently dined at their restaurant and had a steak and fries. The steak was really excellent – ​​cooked to medium rare and very tasty. The fries were also great. What disappointed me, however, was the small, very uncluttered carrot salad that was served as a side dish. I'm used to having a full-fledged side salad with the steak. Unfortunately that was missing here. My friend had brawn with fried potatoes. The brawn was also very good, but here too there was only this small carrot salad, which was not convincing in terms of taste. The fried potatoes were a real no-go: cut way too thick, totally soft and not at all crispy - just as you would expect from good fried potatoes. This was really disappointing and I absolutely cannot recommend it. Overall, the food was okay, but because of the weak side dishes and the unsuccessful fried potatoes, I only give it 3 out of 5 stars.

Ich war kürzlich in ihren Restaurant essen und hatte ein Steak mit Pommes. Das Steak war wirklich hervorragend – auf den Punkt medium gebraten und sehr lecker. Auch die Pommes waren super. Was mich jedoch enttäuscht hat, war der kleine, sehr übersichtliche Karottensalat, der als Beilage serviert wurde. Ich bin es gewohnt, dass es zum Steak einen vollwertigen Beilagensalat gibt. Das hat hier leider gefehlt. Meine Freundin hatte Sülze mit Bratkartoffeln. Die Sülze war ebenfalls sehr gut, aber auch hier gab es nur diesen kleinen Karottensalat, der geschmacklich nicht überzeugt hat. Ein echtes No-Go waren die Bratkartoffeln: viel zu dick geschnitten, total weich und überhaupt nicht knusprig – so, wie man es von guten Bratkartoffeln erwartet. Das war wirklich enttäuschend und kann ich absolut nicht empfehlen. Insgesamt war das Essen okay, aber wegen der schwachen Beilagen und den misslungenen Bratkartoffeln gibt es für mich nur 3 von 5 Sternen.

(Saucisse de sanglier, 2 pièces avec beaucoup de pommes de terre sautées et moutarde). Steigerpfanne "Glück Arf" zartes Rotwildgulasch Walddpilze Apfelrotkraut und Petersilienkartoffeln. ("Glück Arf" tendre goulasch de cerf rouge, champignons sauvages, chou rouge et pommes de terre persillées). Rinderroulade mmit Speck Zwiebeln Gurke dazu Apfelrotkraut und Petersilienkartoffeln. (Roulade de bœuf aux lardons, oignons, concombre, chou rouge et pommes de terre persillées). Chili-Cheese Schnitzel mit Chili-CheesesoBe und Pommes frites. (Schnitzel au chili et au fromage avec sauce chili et frites). Apfelstrudel mit Vanilleeis (Strudel aux pommes et glace vanille). Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (Gâteau Forêt-Noire). Irish Coffee. Cafés servis avec leur verre d’eau. Bien située au centre de la ville, proche de la place du marché avec ses cloches et personnages défilants et juste en face de l’église Saint-Marc. Cadre pittoresque en boiseries pour cette taverne populaire, simple à l'ancienne avec une grande carte de plats régionaux et des tables à l’extérieur côté rue. Attention une marche à l’entrée. Pour le stationnement se sera un peu compliqué. Les horaires élargis vous permettent de pouvoir y prendre les petits-déjeuners, déjeuners ou dîners. Bar complet. Etablissement très propre malgré le passage nombreux de la clientèle. Beaucoup de choix dans la restauration. Vous y trouverez des salades, pâtes, burgers, escalopes et autres plats de gibiers du Harz, peu de poissons ainsi que du végétalien. Sans omettre le sucré avec énormes choux à la crème fraîche, des gaufres, des gâteaux et des tartes dans diverses formules. Strudel et coupes glacées au rendez-vous. Possibilités d’organisations de mariages, anniversaires ou toutes autres célébrations festives. Un conseil, demandez à être installé à l’étage loin des groupes de touristes qui investissent la grande salle du bas qui devient très bruyante ! A l’étage pour pourrez profiter à côté d’une petite salle « suite » d’un beau décor dans une atmosphère plus calme. Avec au centre de la pièce un grand vide qui donne en visuel sur la salle du bas. Pas de nappe, serviette en papier. Les assaisonnements sont en sachets individuels. Un serveur bilingue avec l’anglais. Le service sera un peu long car le restaurant est remplit, c’est un endroit stratégique dans la visite de la ville. Outre les monuments de nombreux magasins sont installés de toutes parts. Aucune salade d’accompagnement proposé comme d’habitude en Allemagne. Regret sur le cerf qui est un peu trop salé. L’établissement bien que touristique reste cependant l’un des mieux à préférer par rapport à d’autres ne serais-ce que pour le choix des plats. The food was good, although I would have expected a chicken schnitzel to be breaded like a normal schnitzel. It tasted good. Portions were OK. The Gose light was very tasty and is definitely recommended. The service was very nice.

The dark Gose beer is really delicious! We sat outside in the bright sunshine at the beginning of March, it was wonderful! Unfortunately, the goulash from the lunch menu was a bit tough. The desserts served (waffles, cream puffs) looked very good. Nice service.

Very good solid food and delicious beer. I had the Steigerpfanne with wonderfully tender red deer goulash, apple red cabbage and potatoes and a Barbarossa beer. Both highly recommended, even if some of the red cabbage was quite sour. The furnishings and ambience are a successful mix of rustic and modern. I would like to come back.

Reservation worked wonderfully, birthday table was beautifully set, the service was outstanding and big compliments to the kitchen👍it was a time of coming and going to this restaurant and we would love to come back again, thank you very much and keep it up!

Not recommended as a café at all. Coffee was okay, but the cake, as was clearly visible, was from a frozen package. I just tried it, it was still ice cold. This applied to both varieties that we ordered. A later look at the display confirmed the impression. Let's hope it was at least Coppenrath... why I didn't say anything to the waitress? I didn't want her to have to interpret it in a positive way, as she can't do anything about it. I've never rated a restaurant/café before, at least not negatively. But here we were very annoyed.

Very nice inn with nice staff. We were given a table on the first floor, which is connected to the ground floor by a gallery. Even though the restaurant was very busy, you could sit there in peace and have a good chat. The food was very tasty and the portions were big enough. The sanitary rooms are a bit cramped but modern and clean.

The restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel. We were 3 men and only had vegetarian dishes. The salad with goat cheese and baked potato was good, the Caesar salad was ok (especially too much dressing) and the spaetzle was unfortunately bad (tasteless and bland, only with mozzarella cheese). Portions were large. A sexist statement from an older service worker (female) also did not make the visit a positive experience. So no recommendation.

Historical place on the Goslar market square. The food here is good and hearty, and the quality of the food prepared is good to very good. Since young people like to stay here, reservations are recommended.

We spontaneously went to the Butterhanne with our small poodle. We can recommend the Latte Machiato with hazelnut flavor. So for the main course we had two schnitzels. They were also super tasty, portioned large enough and served with delicious fries and a bowl of salad. We can only warmly recommend a visit to Butterhanne to anyone who likes to eat good home-cooked food in a rustic atmosphere. Another big plus point...Everyone is incredibly fond of animals, our Holly got lots of treats and a bowl of water.

A large, cozy restaurant with cold and warm dishes. The chicken burger is highly recommended. The meat was perfect and buttery soft. For dessert there was the cream puff with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and cream. Delicious. I can only absolutely recommend the restaurant.

Have been to Butterhanne a few times for breakfast. The atmosphere is really cozy and the staff is friendly. The breakfast was buffet style plus coffee. Price-performance is okay. The only thing missing from the buffet are cucumbers and tomatoes and possibly also yoghurt with fruit (can also be from a can). Otherwise you don't want to complain at a high level, you'll get full.

We came by spontaneously on Saturday evening and got a table. The food was very tasty and the price/performance ratio was 100% right for me. Service also great. Ambiance is of course a matter of taste, great for me.

Simply a rustic, cozy brewery, we always enjoy coming there when we are nearby. The staff is super friendly and very quick, even in hectic times.

Rustic, nice service, good for locals, but more for tourists I'm not a fan of new breakfast buffets. I found the breakfast on the table earlier better, the salmon was included, it was more relaxed, especially because everything is quite narrow and the buffet area is very small. I miss fresh fruit or the salmon that can now be ordered for 5.50. The price for the buffet is good, it would be nicer if the other breakfast were still possible

Quaint restaurant with German cuisine. Very tasty game dishes, delicious giant cream puffs and Black Forest cake. Brunch is on offer, but not a spectacular event as the breakfast buffet is manageable. The Steiger pan is our favorite. Table booking is recommended.

Reservations by phone for Christmas worked successfully. The restaurant looks really great and very homey. The service is very good. They bring one to the dining table and are very attentive. For example, a service employee noticed that my sauce was running out but I still had plenty of schnitzel on my plate. I was then offered to bring more sauce. The food tastes very tasty, the portion is completely sufficient and the price is justified. In any case, I can only recommend anyone who is in Goslar.

So... food was ok, but nothing more. Portions are sufficiently large. And now the reason for two stars and one star for service. I was there on December 22nd. Eating here with my family as we were on a city trip to Goslar. My youngest daughter wanted her schnitzel with fries without vegetables or salad. My daughter is old enough and can decide for herself whether she wants something or not, but the service was very pushy and very invasive. She tried to force the salad on my daughter with pseudo-funny comments, which made my daughter very uncomfortable. Even when the dishes were brought, the plate was put down with a stupid side note. I see this behavior as a massive problem because it can backfire at best. If in my daughter's place there had been a girl with an eating disorder who had been afraid to eat something in public for a long time and then came across such a service, all the progress the girl had made up to that point would have been immediate too bad... If a customer wants something, it will be done without stupid comments and, above all, a request that doesn't cost the restaurant anything. We had a great stay in Goslar, unfortunately this restaurant was nothing.

Went there at Christmas time and luckily had a reservation. Cozy atmosphere rustic recess. Delicious food and good beer especially their own beer Gose Hell was great. The next day we were there for breakfast, a delicious buffet with a nice selection of everything you need to start the day.

An absolute no-go! I just wanted to use the toilet and was rudely asked for 1 euro. When I politely asked to make an exception because it was my birthday, I received a cheeky response. The employee even made fun of me by saying it was his birthday tomorrow. I have rarely experienced something so rude and disrespectful! Service and friendliness seem to be completely foreign concepts here. When you look at the staff and the way they are treated here, I really wonder how all the positive reviews came about - they can hardly be genuine. Service and friendliness? None! I'll definitely never go here again.

The food was great. At a time when there was still a Christmas market in front of the door and almost all the places inside were full, we quickly found a comfortable place. Drinks and food still came quickly due to the situation. Braised roast for under 20€ and a student meat with perfect fried potatoes (slightly caramelized onion, not burnt with a delicious remoulade sauce) 14€ We both had a 1/2 liter of beer and another schnapps to drink. Everything under 50€! Hasn’t the VAT been adjusted here?😉 Ambience not 5 stars because our tea light wasn't lit and 4 stars service because my Williams Christ was knocked over on the tray and I then got a new but unfortunately warm glass (it felt like it had just come out of the dishwasher). But that's complaining at a high level 😉 We'll be back, that's for sure. Breakfast sounds very interesting too. Try it out.

We went to Butterhanne Goslar today and had a great meal. Therefore we give 5/5 stars. There are generous portions that really fill everyone up and the food tastes great!! (My recommendations are goulash soup and the Angus burger.) The service staff were quick and super nice and took every request into account. Despite the influx of visitors, the toilets were super clean and the atmosphere of the restaurant was unique. Since the Christmas market season is in full swing, we later ate a crusty roast at the Butterhanne stand! Super tasty, juicy with cabbage and sweet mustard - a real treat! We'll definitely be back!

I ordered a Coke Zero and, as far as I can tell, I received a Pepsi (Zero/Light) instead. A good server should point out when a restaurant doesn't offer Coke Zero, rather than simply serve another drink. About the food: I ordered a “Viennese style” schnitzel, but decided on the chicken version that was available to choose from on the menu. Instead I got a fried chicken breast that had nothing to do with a schnitzel. I don't even want to start talking about the vegetable side dish.

We were actually happy to get a place, as it is very difficult to get places in the city during the Christmas season, when the Christmas market is open! We ordered Wiener Schnitzel and roast beef. Braised beef was definitely better than the Wienerschnitzel, which was a bit greasier. Very good beer, despite being busy, efficient, fast and very nice service and price-performance ratios are okay.

The staff is super friendly. We came three times in two days (2 x breakfast, 1 x dinner) and got a table even without reservations. We were first made to wait briefly at the counter and were given the first table that became available. This is what good service looks like, thank you. The next time we visit Goslar, we will make a reservation there.

A cozy traditional restaurant in the middle of Goslar's old town. Nice ambience, friendly service and tasty food and drinks at normal prices. We will be happy to come back the next time we visit Goslar.

Had dinner here with the family today and it was great as always. The ribs were very tender, the fried potatoes were well seasoned and the dips were delicious. The tarte flambée was very soft and well-filled, but unfortunately there was a bit more Rocular on it and half of it would have been enough. There was nothing to complain about with the children's meals, they were very happy. Would eat there again at any time.

The food was tasty, but not gluten-free as ordered. The service staff was informed in detail about the need for gluten-free food. A steak was ordered and a salad was to be brought instead of the fries, as the fries are probably fried in the same fat as the breaded schnitzels. So far so good, but there were two large, breaded onion rings on the plate, which of course are not gluten-free. When this was pointed out to the waitress, there wasn't even a verbal apology. What also marred our visit was a rather loud neighboring table. Nothing was said about this by the service, even though the service staff had problems understanding everything straight away when we took our order. The restaurant itself is really nice, but somehow there was something wrong with it that evening.

The two of us ate there on a Sunday around 2 p.m. The main courses that we ordered came after a short time and were very tasty. Afterwards, the two of us ordered an XL cream puff as dessert. Since it cost around €5, we didn't expect the portion to be too big, but what we got was stunning. A real XL portion that four people could easily have eaten as a dessert. Tastes great too! In total we paid around €45 for 2 main courses, 3 coffees, a large bottle of water and dessert. Really great! We haven't eaten so cheaply and deliciously in a long time. When we asked one of the nice waiters how it could be that the food is still so cheap, he said: "We have a great boss. It's more important to him that people come to us again and again and enjoy it ripping people off with high prices." A great place!

I tried a delicious goulash with wild mushrooms in the restaurant. The combination of tender meat and aromatic mushrooms was excellent. What is particularly worth mentioning is the quick service of the dishes, which allowed us to enjoy the food to the fullest. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant also helps you immediately feel at home. I can only recommend this restaurant!

I would rename the restaurant “Fritteusenhanne”. Unfortunately my cell phone was in the car, the "venison bratwurst" was a frozen product. The fries were over it. That garlic baguette was simply soaked in oil. The starter and main course came at the same time. When I commented on this, the answer was that the chef was very busy. Then hire a second person, or someone who can handle the stress in the kitchen.

The food was actually quite tasty. However, my schnitzel and potatoes were a little greasy. The schnitzel was also a little too thick for my taste. He liked my husband's butter spaetzle. However, all in all it was a bit too little. The atmosphere could be a little nicer. Something could be changed there. The restaurant was well attended. The service staff were very helpful.

Food was quite ok. However, they were sitting in the hall upstairs. Very loud and uncomfortable there. At the next table there was a larger group celebrating their party and making speeches. Very uncomfortable if you sit right next to it, maybe it would be better to close the hall for the party. Service was very attentive and nice.

Was also there for a steak dinner last year. This time I was there for a steak dinner with a friend. My rump steak was good, unfortunately my friend had “several” tendons. Side dishes and sauce were very good. I can also recommend the “all-you-can-eat” breakfast buffet, which I have enjoyed several times. Very friendly and competent service as well as service and food quickly.

Delicious food in a beautiful, historical atmosphere. You just have to take a look at the beautiful exterior facade of the inn with its centuries-old half-timbered structure! The service is very quick and attentive. We ate outside and when we went to the (clean) toilets, it felt like there was an employee on every corner who was there for the guests.

Today we spontaneously went to Butterhanne and had a dog with us. The waitress was super friendly and immediately brought water for the dog. Food and drinks arrived quickly and were very tasty. There is also a rustic ambience and a relaxed atmosphere despite the full house. I'd love to come back.

Was here for the first time on Sunday evening. I ordered a steak - medium well - unfortunately it was anything but that, it was almost bloody. If you offer steak, the cooking levels must also work. Unfortunately, the waitress was just annoyed by my complaint, which didn't exactly make for a good mood. There were no spoons for the iced chocolate, we had to ask first, then at least there was a small coffee spoon for a glass twice as tall. In another dish the potatoes were rock hard. I don't have to go there again. However, one waiter, a tall young man, was very nice and friendly.

One of our absolute favorite restaurants. In summer you can sit outside under the market church and in cooler times inside. Reservations are highly recommended if you want to sit inside. The food, coffee and service are simply great. We were "forgotten" when we wanted to pay last time, but we were able to do that quickly and easily at the counter :-)
