Large portions and delicious dishes. We especially enjoyed the giant cream puff and the steak. The service was excellent, and the restaurant was very well-maintained with a pleasant atmosphere.

We booked a table at short notice and got one upstairs on the gallery. We were greeted warmly, and the drinks arrived quickly. The food was delicious; we had schnitzel with mushroom sauce and a hearty dish with incredibly tasty red cabbage. The service was consistently friendly, attentive, and always available, and the place was packed.

Very friendly staff, we were very surprised by the absolutely fair prices – it is possible! Good food selection, fast service, perfect location. We'd gladly return on our next visit to Goslar.

Despite the huge crowds due to the Christmas market, the service remained friendly and showed us to a seat in the hall. The food was good, although everything naturally took a little longer because of the large number of visitors.

For the fourth Sunday of Advent and the Geocachers' Brocken Breakfast, we were here again with friends and enjoyed four different dishes. Even without a reservation, we got a table on the first floor, and once again, the service was friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious and highly recommended. This is what makes Advent and Goslar so enjoyable. For the Mother's Day event weekend in 2025, we came here to Goslar for dinner with our whole team. The service was excellent; they mentioned a possible wait, but it turned out not to be necessary. The menu was fantastic and varied, with something for everyone. The cold drinks and beer were also absolutely delicious. We had a wonderful evening and will gladly return – highly recommended.

We ate here as part of our Christmas party. There was something for everyone. Whether pasta, burgers, or classic dishes, the food was delicious. Two days later, my sister and I came back to try the waffles and weren't disappointed either. We were completely satisfied.

Is the chef in love? Let them be. But all 14 dishes were definitely too salty. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely.

We had a delicious game dinner. The food was good and served quickly without a long wait.

The food was excellent, the service polite, quick, and attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasantly open, yet still enclosed enough by separate areas to avoid feeling like a sports bar. The nuggets are homemade, crispy, and juicy, unlike the usual run-of-the-mill ones. The red cabbage was festive and delicious, as were the beef roulades. French nuggets were about €7. Roulades, red cabbage, and hash browns were €18.90 and very filling. Food: 4.5/5 Price: 5/5

I had schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce, but the mushroom cream sauce was salty and the schnitzel was a bit dry. The food at Gradu wasn't bad, but the service was disappointing. I was able to pay within 30 minutes of finishing my meal. I don't know if it's racism or what... It's not cheap, so I don't recommend it.

We had a wonderful meal, but the prices? We're from the former East Germany, where a meal costs at least €5 and wines €3 more. We had roulade, absolutely delicious, just like home. Thank you so much for a wonderful end to our holiday. Goslar was magical, we'll be back.

A cozy place with several seating areas. They offer everything from breakfast to dinner. There are also various specials with different time slots (e.g., waffles from 2 pm, a daily changing lunch menu from 11:30 am to 2 pm, breakfast – also as a buffet – until 11:30 am). Of course, there are also a variety of dishes available on the regular menu. The staff were friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable.

Located on the market square. From the outside, you wouldn't guess what a gem the restaurant is inside. We felt very comfortable here. The service was good and fast. The food was delicious, and the price-performance ratio was excellent.

I was there for steak last year (unfortunately only 4 stars). This time my rump steak was fantastic! The side dishes and salad were very good 👌❗️ I can also recommend the "all-you-can-eat" breakfast buffet, which I've enjoyed several times. The service for dog owners is absolutely exceptional. A family with three dogs received a water bowl, treats, and even a blanket 💪👏 Very friendly and competent service, and the service and food were quick.

German cuisine, very tasty: we enjoyed the beef roulade and schnitzel. Fair prices. Clean restrooms, well-lit steps in the dining room. On our return visit, we opted for the "Steigerpfanne" (spicy pan) - €19. Delicious and served hot.

Our group of 14 people had booked a separate dining table at the Butterhanne. Once there, we were escorted to the upper room with two other groups. The acoustics were poor, it was very loud due to the large number of people, and the overhead lighting was insufficient. The employee who took our order was unfriendly. To determine what we wanted to eat or drink, he simply nodded instead of asking. The food arrived quickly and tasted good. At 9 p.m., the first members of our group left. They immediately asked if any of us wanted to pay. We didn't. When we asked if they were going to finish work, they replied, "Not now, but right away." The Butterhanne is open until 11 p.m.! There were also a few guests sitting downstairs, which made this statement even harder to understand. We finished our drinks and then actually paid because we felt uncomfortable. One guest arrived in a walker, which an employee carried downstairs. The employee assigned to us then made fun of us and said to his colleague, "Are you that old already?" This is obviously very hurtful for someone who relies on a walker. All in all, I unfortunately can't recommend the Butterhanne. The good food doesn't make up for the rude treatment.

A traditional restaurant that's a must-visit in Goslar. Their specialty is the cream puffs. The cake, however, was old and hard, and they took it back without hesitation. The staff is friendly, and orders are taken and delivered promptly.

A great, rustic restaurant with excellent service and delicious food. We ate the Wiener Schnitzel and the Zwiebelrostbraten (Roast Beef with Onions).

Top-notch service, a very nice location centrally located on the market. Unfortunately, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the food. The schnitzel was more like a steak in terms of thickness. But that's certainly a matter of taste. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Actually, it was quite nice, but our food was cold. Schnitzel with cold mushroom sauce, and the onion schnitzel had almost raw onions instead of braised onions. The staff was very nice and friendly.

We were overwhelmed by the size of the restaurant, as it looks very small from the outside. We had three different dishes. One schnitzel was WAY too thick, tough, and not pounded. Very unappetizing and not worth the money. The goulash and the onion roast were good. The fried potatoes are highly recommended! The apple strudel had cinnamon in it and was very good with warm vanilla sauce. We had an average experience. The server was very attentive and friendly.

Had dinner here tonight. One had a schnitzel, one had a burger, and one had nuggets with fries. There's not much to complain about, and everything was delicious. The schnitzel deducted a star from the meal, but the fresh meat was unfortunately cooked in a deep fryer, not in a pan as it should be! As for the ambiance, the restrooms could use a bit of a clean.
