Located on the market square. From the outside, you wouldn't guess what a gem the restaurant is inside. We felt very comfortable here. The service was good and fast. The food was delicious, and the price-performance ratio was excellent.

I was there for steak last year (unfortunately only 4 stars). This time my rump steak was fantastic! The side dishes and salad were very good 👌❗️ I can also recommend the "all-you-can-eat" breakfast buffet, which I've enjoyed several times. The service for dog owners is absolutely exceptional. A family with three dogs received a water bowl, treats, and even a blanket 💪👏 Very friendly and competent service, and the service and food were quick.

We spontaneously stopped by the restaurant for dinner today as a family (2 adults + 2 children). We were seated quickly. After a quick look at the menu, everyone quickly found what they were looking for. Our order was taken quickly, and our drinks and food arrived promptly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everyone enjoyed the food; it was exactly what we expected. We'd be happy to come back.

The Harz Blueberry Cream Schnitzel is especially recommended – tender meat, perfectly cooked, and with this unique, slightly sweet and sour blueberry cream sauce, it's simply divine! A fantastic combination of regional cuisine with a creative touch. Highly recommended! 🍽️💙

German cuisine, very tasty: we enjoyed the beef roulade and schnitzel. Fair prices. Clean restrooms, well-lit steps in the dining room. On our return visit, we opted for the "Steigerpfanne" (spicy pan) - €19. Delicious and served hot.

The service was first-class – super friendly, attentive, and fast. You immediately feel welcome here. We were particularly impressed by the Barbarossa beer – a real treat, very drinkable, and served at the perfect temperature. The chili cheese schnitzel was also excellent: nice and crispy, spicy, and generously topped. The portion size was also very good! Overall, a great experience in a cozy atmosphere – we'll definitely be back!

Our group of 14 people had booked a separate dining table at the Butterhanne. Once there, we were escorted to the upper room with two other groups. The acoustics were poor, it was very loud due to the large number of people, and the overhead lighting was insufficient. The employee who took our order was unfriendly. To determine what we wanted to eat or drink, he simply nodded instead of asking. The food arrived quickly and tasted good. At 9 p.m., the first members of our group left. They immediately asked if any of us wanted to pay. We didn't. When we asked if they were going to finish work, they replied, "Not now, but right away." The Butterhanne is open until 11 p.m.! There were also a few guests sitting downstairs, which made this statement even harder to understand. We finished our drinks and then actually paid because we felt uncomfortable. One guest arrived in a walker, which an employee carried downstairs. The employee assigned to us then made fun of us and said to his colleague, "Are you that old already?" This is obviously very hurtful for someone who relies on a walker. All in all, I unfortunately can't recommend the Butterhanne. The good food doesn't make up for the rude treatment.

A great, rustic restaurant with excellent service and delicious food. We ate the Wiener Schnitzel and the Zwiebelrostbraten (Roast Beef with Onions).

Top-notch service, a very nice location centrally located on the market. Unfortunately, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the food. The schnitzel was more like a steak in terms of thickness. But that's certainly a matter of taste. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Actually, it was quite nice, but our food was cold. Schnitzel with cold mushroom sauce, and the onion schnitzel had almost raw onions instead of braised onions. The staff was very nice and friendly.

The food is incredibly delicious. The selection is also excellent, and the sausages were my favorite. One thing I didn't like was the pre-baked rolls.

We made a last-minute reservation and got a nice seat in the upper section. Drinks took a while to arrive, but we think that's due to the size of the restaurant. We were overwhelmed by the size of the restaurant, as it looks very small from the outside. We had three different dishes. One schnitzel was WAY too thick, tough, and not pounded. Very unappetizing and not worth the money. The goulash and the onion roast were good. The fried potatoes are highly recommended! The apple strudel had cinnamon in it and was very good with warm vanilla sauce. We had an average experience. The server was very attentive and friendly.

The food is delicious.. This is a place to visit and see ancient things.. There is beautiful music without the restaurant having to turn it on.

Had dinner here tonight. One had a schnitzel, one had a burger, and one had nuggets with fries. There's not much to complain about, and everything was delicious. The schnitzel deducted a star from the meal, but the fresh meat was unfortunately cooked in a deep fryer, not in a pan as it should be! As for the ambiance, the restrooms could use a bit of a clean.

I was there for the Old Town Festival in Goslar, so it was my first time as a guest. EVERYTHING was just perfect, and despite the ongoing Old Town Festival and the associated high volume of activity, the service was exceptionally pleasant. Always calm, friendly, etc. And the food is indescribable; you just have to order it and ENJOY.

Yes. The ambiance is simply fantastic. Very friendly and fast service. I love coming here. The highlight: XXL cream puffs filled with ice cream or cherry pudding. Simply irresistible. A cappuccino and a Coke to go with it.

We had Wiener schnitzel with chili sauce and French fries, and it tasted really good and at reasonable prices. A place that gets a lot of guests so reservations are recommended. We will definitely come back. 🙂

At first glance, the restaurant made a very inviting and stylish impression. Unfortunately, our experience was severely marred: Although we had specifically ordered chicken schnitzel instead of pork, we found small fried pieces of pork both on the plate and among the side dishes. This was very disappointing and completely inappropriate for us. In addition, we were overcharged, and instead of immediately refunding the difference, we had to wait several days for the refund. This unfortunately further spoiled the overall impression. Overall, a nice place, but the service and lack of attention to detail in the kitchen were truly disappointing – unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience for us.

I really liked the ribs; they were delicious. The gentleman who served us was very friendly. The girls, on the other hand, were very sour-faced and even scolded us for sitting at the wrong table, but no one directed us or showed us to the table; they just nodded. Afterward, the gentleman who served us was very friendly and made us have a good time. We even complimented him on his service.

We had an excellent meal today: beef roulade and wild boar sausage. Before that, we had goulash soup. Highly recommended and reasonably priced, too. Friendly, fast, and competent service. We'll be back.

We spontaneously dropped in on a Saturday evening without a reservation. We got a seat. The food was once again delicious. The staff was friendly.

There's plenty of space both inside and outside, and it's very busy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Seven of us, including three children, found a place to sit. We didn't have to wait long for the food at all, and everything arrived at the same time. It was extremely tasty and warm to piping hot. Top 👍

We were too far into the Butterhanne. I have my voucher book, which means...2 main courses for the price of one. The order was accepted politely. We had the blueberry schnitzel. The food arrived; one portion looked reasonably good, the second portion was a very, very dark schnitzel. The waiter came back to the table later and asked if everything was okay. We complained about the dark (burnt) schnitzel. There was no response to our comment. I think it's a shame that you get served something like this just because you want something cheaper. Although the voucher book isn't free. I've known the restaurant for 25 years, and I must honestly admit that it has gone downhill.

We had reserved a table for 6:00 PM, but were able to get a table 30 minutes earlier without any problems. The food and service were good, but one would expect the floor in the restaurant to be clean. Unfortunately, the men's restroom was in a very dirty state.
