We were here for dinner in the evening. The atmosphere was very cozy and the service was very accommodating. Both dishes were super tasty, very freshly prepared and due to the rather large portions the price/performance ratio was really great! Anyone can receive a visit! Tip: During the season you should definitely book a table as the restaurant is very busy.

The food wasn't anything special, but it was a large portion at a reasonable price here on the beach. It's a shame that the seat cannot be chosen by the guest. I chose a nice place but was denied it. The guest after Mir got this seat 10 seconds later. (i.e. without a reservation) but when asked, they apologized for it. But they couldn't give me an explanation. But the price-performance ratio was right.

We got a table for two after a short wait without a reservation. The food was good and as plentiful as you would expect from a Greek. The employees were friendly and attentive despite being at full capacity. Unfortunately there was no ouzo with the bill, but everything else was okay.

Always happy: the best Greek in the region. Absolutely nice people in service, the food comes quickly. Must try: the starters! Eggplants very tasty! Then grill plate 😉

You ask politely if you can get a seat without a reservation. The lady behind the counter just gives the answer without a reservation. Then the waiter Jens comes and tells you in an unfriendly tone that there won't be a seat today. You can also say that in a friendlier way. You can't make any money from us with that tone! There are plenty of other good restaurants.

This restaurant is absolutely recommended! We like to eat Greek from time to time, but nowhere else has it been as good as here. The staff are warm and we were thrilled with the food. Price/performance is completely fine. If we're ever in the area, we'd love to come back 🤩

We were lucky with the seats. It took a long time to place the order and I was reminded to pay several times. Sorry, we have too many guests.

We ate there a few times this summer and were always very pleased with the service and quality. Until yesterday. We had booked a table for 6:30 p.m., got there a little early and had to wait a little longer. No problem. At 6:20 p.m. 2 couples left from different places, so we went to the restaurant where a friendly lady assigned us a seat. But then a young man, Obermotz, came and told the lady that this wouldn't work, he was responsible for distributing the tables. He then came to us and told us that there were still no free tables, even though 2 tables were set and marked reserved and the 2 tables where the guests had just left. When asked, we were told we had only made a reservation for 6:30 p.m. and we didn't have it yet. This is how you get rid of regular customers!

The food is simply great and the service is great

Stopped there by chance while visiting Großenbrode. Rarely have Greek food been so good. Portions rich. Service staff very friendly. Price-performance top. We were very satisfied all around. Even our dog was provided with water without asking.

Very tasty, friendly and attentive staff obviously family run. The gratinated Metaxagyros tasted completely different than usual but was very tasty. The mixed meat plate was also very tasty. The portions are well sized. A little more expensive but really good.

We come here every year now, but we're actually vacationing in a different place. Here you can get large lunch portions at a fair price. The staff is extremely friendly, especially towards children. Highly recommended to have a starter with delicious garlic bread

Our children invited us to this restaurant and were amazed at the atmosphere we were greeted with. After choosing on the menu there was plenty of food on offer. After a while our delicious food arrived and we could then slowly make our way home to rest. Thank you Greek Restaurant. Is only recommended

Very nicely located on the waterfront. However, the grill plate for 4 people is enough for 5-6 people. Absolutely normal price. However, I've had better tzatziki and grilled pepperoni. Meat was very good.

The price and performance are definitely right there, the food is always fresh and very tasty. We have eaten there for the third year in a row when we are on holiday in Großenbrode. And we are really very satisfied. Prices haven't risen that much either. The staff is friendly and helpful. We really enjoy being there and will be back next year.

Honestly, I don't know what the hype is about here. We were really looking forward to Greek food, but were disappointed. I expect more in your price range. The gyro was wobbly, hardly seasoned at all and the fries were just as limp. All 4 of us were very disappointed and would not come back. Too bad. We love gyros.

Went there spontaneously on a Sunday evening and luckily very early. Everything else was reserved and by luck the service staff assigned us a place. The food was very tasty, the children's meal was also very tasty and was served with a salad. Staff all very friendly. Gladly again.

We ate outside and were happy that we were welcome with our 3 dogs. Our dogs were immediately served fresh water without us saying anything. Our meal, bifteki with fries, was a straight A! A small salad first, also very tasty and the Metaxa sauce is an A+! The drinks are nice and cold, including the Uso from the house. All around great 👍🏼

Excellent and well-kept food, family atmosphere, every guest receives individual advice, even during busy times, and is served and looked after very nicely. We prefer to eat small (senior) portions, without any problems. All of this right in the center of the promenade in a “best location”. Everything goes on, all the best for this family business.

The food was very tasty. Price performance is right. We will be back! The only negative point is that there is only 1 toilet for women and 1 toilet for men! That's really not much in peak times.

Since 2018 we have been going there to eat every time we are on the Baltic Sea, regardless of whether we are in Großenbrode or Grömitz. It's just nice to sit on the promenade and then eat well 👍👍👍

We were in Großenbrode for a few days and stopped at the Athens restaurant based on a private recommendation. It was totally worth it. The food was really delicious. The gyro was crispy and tender - highly recommended. The owners/staff were very friendly, authentic and accommodating. The restaurant is located directly on the promenade near the pier and you can watch the hustle and bustle on the promenade if you sit outside. We can fully recommend a visit to the “Athens” restaurant. P.S. However, due to its popularity, I think it is advisable to make a reservation. With that in mind: enjoy your meal and have a great time there.

There were eight people, great service, everyone was very nice, they were served by a young lady, she really did a great job, the price was great, we first tipped €15 for the great food, and at the end there was a lollipop for the little ones, very happy to do it again ☺️

The weather was great and so was the lunch. Big portion for little money. Great sitting outside and nice service. A child can hardly manage the children's plate alone. Wasn't there the last time.

One of the best Greek restaurants we have ever been to and we have been to many, especially in Düsseldorf, on Texel, in Belgium and last but not least in Greece. The quality is really not overly seasoned as is often the case. The meat is juicy and to the point. The staff at the grill knows their job. The other dishes were also of excellent quality, in short simply delicious. It is often said that the staff are not friendly and do not want things to be implemented the way the guest wants. Now look at the restaurant, it is small and the logistics hardly allow for major changes in the process. It's not a star restaurant and it's not bigger, you depend on the season and have to make a lot of effort, but the employees there are still very hard working. I recommend reserving a table at least in the evening and taking a look at the daily menu at lunchtime, the portions are very sufficient and inexpensive. So give it a second try before tearing up Athens in Großenbrode, because that would be unfair.
