It's a shame ☹️ has noticeably diminished. Unfortunately, gyros didn't taste particularly good today and salad was also drowned in yogurt sauce and not very original. Maybe better next time, hopefully. Fries not that good either. I'm annoyed that I paid €15 for this.

The food was very good and plentiful. The staff very friendly. Unfortunately we had to wait almost an hour to get our food. The staff seemed to be already or still in the holiday mood. But we can still recommend the restaurant. Price/performance fits.

Today our first visit to Athens, but certainly not the last! We had two great dishes and also tzatziki and everything was excellent, the gyros had great roasted flavors, and still it was juicy, that's how we love gyros! The service was also very, very friendly! All in all, we'd love to come back :-) We did it again 😋 Today we had gyros with Metaxa sauce and fries and souflaki filled with sheep's cheese, herb butter, fries and tomato rice. Today it was again very, very tasty 😋

When we were looking for something to eat near our hotel around 10 p.m., we came across this Greek guy. The food was super tasty and authentically Greek. Above all, the owner was very warm and friendly.

The menu has something for everyone at very reasonable prices. The portions are big but it is soooooo delicious! Perfectly grilled, cooked or baked. Staff offered doggybags as we unfortunately couldn't eat all the great bites. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely coming back despite living in Denmark!

We were passing through and had dinner in Athens. We were greeted very friendly by the boss. The other service employees were also extremely friendly and attentive. The food came very quickly and was amazing. The portions were so large that they would have been enough for two. The salad and the food tasted very good, and at very reasonable prices. The leftover food was then packed in a box and could be taken with you. THIS PLACE IS ONLY RECOMMENDED!

Restaurant Athens really surprised me positively when I was passing through. The family atmosphere and the warm hospitality immediately made me feel at home. The staff was attentive, the prices were fair, and there were fresh flowers on every table. If I'm in the area again, I'll stop here again.

I went here for dinner for the first time today. With the nice weather we were able to sit outside. We were welcomed very nicely. The menu has many dishes to choose from. As a starter there was a sheep's cheese cream with bread. The main courses were mussaka, souvlaki gyros and calamari gyros. I swapped the fries for rice, which wasn't a problem. All the dishes were absolutely delicious and the portions were very large. Afterwards we each got an ouzo from the house. The conclusion: only recommended!!!

Went to the Athens restaurant in Weende in Göttingen yesterday and on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 means very dissatisfied and 10 means very satisfied, we give the restaurant a solid 10! The staff is really super fast and the owner is simply an absolute professional in the catering industry! The food was really excellent and the price-performance ratio was excellent! If you want to eat Greek, you've come to the right place! We can only recommend the Athens restaurant! The best Greek in the Göttingen area or even in the entire region!

Very friendly operator who, together with the great staff, creates a family atmosphere. The food is very tasty and you get large portions. The menu is varied, but very meat-heavy. Personally it doesn't bother me, vegetarians also have a good selection, vegans should study the menu before visiting. The shop itself is cozy, but you shouldn't expect a trés-chic atmosphere. All in all, I can only recommend Athens under Vasili.

The Athens, a small, fine restaurant. Very friendly staff, fair prices and most importantly, the food tastes good. We always enjoy coming back. Depending on the day, it's worth making a reservation. But even if you don't have a reservation, just stop by if you're hungry for delicious food. We've already tried a few dishes and there wasn't one that wasn't tasty. A recommendation from me, you can't go wrong with Athens.

Unfortunately, the calamaria were totally (EXTREMELY) too salty, so I had to drink a liter of water that night to get rid of the dehydration in my mouth! The salad was a typical run-of-the-mill salad, some cabbage, a slice of tomato and a slice of cucumber!?! Add ready dressing. The gyros, on the other hand, was bland and unseasoned. Very disappointing, first and last visit to this restaurant!

There is no better Greek restaurant in Göttingen! Everything is great and the boss himself is always with the guests straight away! Only to recommend

Hello folks, I'm not exaggerating when I say that Wassili in ATHENS has the best and juiciest gyros ever! It's nice that there is ATHENS in Weende! In Göttingen you'll have to look a little longer for such tasty food from Greece and be lucky!

Ins Athen zum Essen zu gehen ist wie nach Hause zu einer liebevollen Familie zu kommen. Als wir vor Jahren das erste Mal hier essen waren wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen und bewirtet. Ich dachte damals, dass der Wirt mich mit jemandem verwechselt über dessen Besuch er sich sehr freut. Nach vielen Jahren kann ich sagen, das jeder Gast diese herzliche Gastfreundschaft erfährt. Das beste ist aber, dass das Essen immer frisch, selbstgemacht und sehr lecker ist. Hier kann man auch sehr gut einmal was anderes als das typisch Gyros bestellen. Wir haben noch nichts gefunden,was uns nicht geschmeckt hat. Kinder werden gerne gesehen und sehr freundlich und nett bewirtet. Unsere Kinder sind mit dem Athen groß geworden und lieben es bis heute. Das Athen ist unser Lieblingsrestaurant für griechisches Essen. Danke an den Besitzer und das ganze großartige Team für die vielen schönen Momente in eurem Restaurant. Freundlicher Service vom Hausherrn, griechischer Salat war traurig anzusehen und etwas kostspielig. Die Stammkunden haben gekochte Speisen bestellt. Womöglich wäre das besser gewesen.
