Restaurant Amadeus in Hamburg

The service in the restaurant was friendly and the table decoration with beautiful candles created a pleasant atmosphere. The background music fit in well and was very pleasant today. Unfortunately, there were also some significant flaws. The cutlery was inappropriately chosen and expired goods were served, which is absolutely unacceptable. The burger was overcooked and therefore dry and unappetizing. The ice cream also disappointed; it tasted very greasy and seemed more like a frozen mass than creamy milk ice cream. Overall the experience was mixed and I can therefore only give it 3 stars.

All in all great restaurant, delicious food good service. The food was delicious, unfortunately the fried potatoes were not crispy but very soggy and soft...it's a shame otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. Staff friendly and helpful.

Very bad service. We sat at the table for a long time and weren't served or didn't get a menu until we spoke to another waitress. I ordered a starter which I got with the main course. My main course was the sirloin steak, which I ordered and wasn't even asked how I would like it. Arrived super bloody! The conditions are extremely unfriendly, the very nice gentleman behind the bar tells me something bad in another language! Ambiance is very nice but gets a zero star despite it.

Nice atmosphere and very nice waitress. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. Schnitzel is very dry and the eggplant casserole was anyway a soup made of minced meat and cream with a little cheese. It's a shame, but whatever. Not a shop you could recommend

Good food for a good price. The atmosphere is quaint and appropriate. Wish the service would have been a bit better (hence the 4 stars), but there is really nothing to complain about. Had the Jägerschnitzel, which was well prepared, but, as so much no matter where you go, bit overly salted. My wife and I are looking forward to our next visit.

You can't complain about the store. Price-performance ratio is right. The pizza there is as good as it would be from a pizzeria. The pasta portions are also decent and taste good. I usually call there and order ToGo and it goes really quickly. Man can't complain

I cannot confirm the positive reviews. Four of us were guests. For the starter I chose onion soup, which was out. Goulash soup was recommended to me. This was definitely not homemade. The consistency, taste and texture of the meat suggest that it is canned. The main course was chili carne. The taste is okay, but definitely not homemade. My wife chose green tagliatelle with salmon. The pasta in sauce was inedible, as was the salmon. The salmon tasted like it had died twice! The companion ordered gyros. Here too, unmistakably, goods from the frozen food department!!! Dish 4 was kale. Bland and without taste. Potatoes were the pre-cooked version from the GH The Amadeus bread, which is omnipresent on the menu, is a disaster. The service was incredibly friendly, right up to the point of billing. It is very likely due to our typical behavior that we were friendly and not critical, which was generally and definitely a mistake here. I had the nerve to only tip 3 euros. This was only answered with a shake of the head. There was no general thank you, nice evening, etc. There were no wishes for a nice evening Sorry, but this SNACK is absolutely terrible

The food was very tasty and the meat was super tender

Well, more like 2.5 stars for the food. Had the 117 Mix grill plate Potato was good, meat was far too little, I think every 3 pieces at most 200g or less. The price of just under €28 is far too high. I then ordered the meat English and it arrived more than medium rare. Is not recommended at all.

The food there was really tasty and the service was very attentive. This restaurant is highly recommended and we would love to come back. You can sit there in a cozy atmosphere inside and outside.

I have never eaten such a good pizza frutti di mare here in all of Hamburg. The kitchen is mega spacious. The staff is always professional and friendly. My special request to bake my pizza without garlic was not an issue at all. It was baked garlic-free and delicious. Thank you very much!!! I wish the whole team continued fun, strength and success. Very good place to eat with friends or family. The food is very delicious and abundant. The prices are not bad either, more or less 20 euros per person, maybe a couple of euros more. I have normally eaten outside and it is good, now it was cold and I ate inside, the atmosphere was great and there was no annoying noise. It is not the typical crowded place either, I really liked the experience, I will repeat. The waitress was super attentive and very friendly.

A look at the overloaded menu already reveals it: food in the style of a system restaurant, but rather bad. In my casserole there were only bagged vegetables and the advertised meat strips were present exactly 3 times. The whole thing is very expensive. When paying in a group you have to queue at the cash register and no thanks are given for tips.

An extensive menu, you are spoiled for choice. I had the salmon with spinach and potato gratin. The salmon was very juicy and therefore very tasty... Spinach was a bit bitter and the gratin was nice and creamy. All in all, highly recommended...

Very nice restaurant with a beautiful interior and atmosphere. Very friendly staff and the kitchen is open after 22:00. I have eaten a Spaghetti Bolognese and a Schnitzel. Spaghetti Bolognese sauce was mixed all over. Meat was good, sauce I didn’t really liked it. Was a big plate. Schnitzel was decent, but pricewise on the more expensive side for what you get. Cocktails are € 8,90 after 22:00, happy hour.

Nice ambience, great food (the homemade bread or the burger) and friendly service

We went to Amadeus today, pretty spontaneously. We were greeted immediately when we walked in, had a great seat and were able to order quickly. The food and drinks came super quickly & it tasted amazing too 🤤 I directly recommended it to my parents for their next visit to Hamburg & we would love to come back ☺️

Very nicely decorated restaurant. The menu is large and more than just your typical pizza selection. The service was very quick and also responded to requests. We were there as a family and were able to find something quickly and left very satisfied.

Unfortunately the food was disappointing and not worth the price. The kale dish was overcooked, potatoes were carelessly slapped next to it and my casserole was cold. When I asked to warm it up again, it unfortunately took so long that my companion was almost finished with his food. The service was very friendly but also overwhelmed because she was alone. Especially in this day and age when everything is becoming more expensive and hardly anyone can afford to eat out, you should put a little more effort into the dishes and the way they are served in order to attract new guests and retain others We won't be coming back!!

Unfortunately it is not possible to tell from the outside whether it is 2G or 3G... There is a large glass box outside the door area, but it is empty. h. As a guest you don't know what food and drinks are on offer there. About a year ago I was unfortunately only able to rate the store with 1 star (see post above). There is now a menu hanging outside in a glass case and we have eaten/drinked there a few times. After the renovation (it used to be BigEasy), the ambience has become really cozy, the staff is very friendly, the food has always been really tasty and the prices are “reasonable”. SO NOW 5 STARS UPDATE 10/27/2024 We (4 girls) ate there regularly for a while and it was always good. Unfortunately, prices have been raised disproportionately. The pizza (rucola) that I always liked to order had a reasonable price of around EUR 10.00 after the Corona period, then the price was raised to around EUR 13.00 and shortly afterwards (around 1 quarter of 2024 ) the pizza already cost EUR 14.90 - that's a price increase of a good 30% - in less than 2 years. Unfortunately, the “service” has also deteriorated. If you wanted to drink something you often had to get up and walk to the counter to order drinks; the waitress either didn't show up or simply walked past the table with the empty glasses WITHOUT asking if you wanted something more to drink. UNFORTUNATELY ONLY 2-3 STARS EXCEPT FOR THE AMBIENCE. At EUR 14.90, the pizza is significantly too expensive and the service has become worse - so for about a year and a half we have been regularly eating elsewhere (where the price-performance ratio is better) and no longer at Amadeus.

Clean friendly. Eat lunch well. Good taste. Only the carrot slices in the dish should not be raw.

We ordered puten gemüsepfanne and mexicanische pfanne, overall it was delicious, but we were disappointed that the second dish was missing half the ingredients. Unfortunately, only after we ate did we look at the ingredients on the menu. I had to pay a higher price for the same dish as the first one. The waitress said “well, I asked if everything was okay with you.” It's sad that the staff and kitchen are inattentive. The restaurant was empty and it wasn't busy enough to mix up the dishes. Then it turned out that the cook had made a mistake, they apologized, but did not change the price of the dish.

Always good for something nice to eat and a nice drink

So, I went there to eat with some friends and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food options. I went with a meat calzone that was “ok”, a little spicy for my taste and the dough could have used a little more salt. All in all, it’s a good restaurant.

We only had a nightcap here, so I can't rate the menu/food. Price-performance ratio was okay. The service and the ambience were very pleasant.

This time it was a failure, we waited a very long time for service, about 30 minutes, even though the restaurant wasn't full. Food ordered medium steak came English, fried potatoes without roasted color Not exactly great. The two other guests who were there also had defects. For me, a lot of money for poor quality overall. i

We recently ate at this restaurant and the food was really good. The staff was also friendly and attentive during the evening. Unfortunately, the overall impression was clouded by the payment. The waiter didn't seem happy with the tip we gave and was open about it. We found this very unpleasant because from that moment on he became unfriendly. Despite the good food, this behavior had a negative impact on our visit.

The food is very delicious and they serve well

We were seated and despite a lot of staff standing at the bar...then forgotten. After about 30 minutes after we made our presence known, the service finally came...Steak was ordered medium...it came almost raw. ...the other meals we ordered were also below average. There is definitely a lack of skilled staff here, both in service and in the kitchen. We gave this place another chance, but there are definitely better places for the price

Very friendly staff & delicious food. We had salads, Bruschetta and some pancakes as an afternoon snack. Everything was high quality & tastefully served.

The food here is not good at all. LASSAGNE was swimming in the sauce, no taste, plate 2- 🍄pan- 🍄🍄🍄 from the can 😒, Lassagne went back. We rated 3 dishes poorly, all three of us... The thing about us, the cook here doesn't work at all... everything else is fine...

I was looking forward to my zucchini casserole, which I ordered with a little more sauce and it was visually appealing. At first glance and the first prick of the fork, it had a lot of sauce on it. I was happy, but unfortunately the rice was missing from the casserole. According to the menu, it should contain minced sauce, rice and zucchini and is gratinated with cheese. Of course I went to the waitress and complained that the rice should be added later. Okay, then I'll add it. That's okay too. After 15 minutes the rice arrived, with a brief comment: "I'm sorry it took a little longer." The casserole was already cold because we were sitting outside. This message was not well received by the waitress. You should at least expect that you will be offered a warm-up. It was also nice that another service person came to clear away. We were asked whether we were satisfied. Despite the information that it wasn't us because ingredients were missing in both meals we ordered and the rice was served late in one meal, it wasn't addressed at all. The store wasn't full, so that wasn't even a reason. No apology, no accommodation... it was noticed and that was it. Unfortunately I won't be coming back, even though I enjoyed eating there.

We were a table of 7 people, we paid separately for our orders and there was an extra charge of 2€ per person as a tip, which was obligatory without a notice.

The staff was very friendly, the food was great and plenty. The restaurant itself was unfortunately quite loud despite not even being full.

Ordered spaghetti carbonara ..... got pasta mash with cheap cooked supermarket ham cut into pieces. The soft noodles were drowned in white, bland flour sauce. Never again ! But the whole thing in a huge portion 🫤.

I knew the restaurant from before as the Big Easy... today I happened to be in this super modern, restored restaurant after a long time and I was thrilled. It tastes great and the sanitary facilities are also nice and clean.

Nice service and nice ambience. The selection on the menu is huge, but in my opinion it's too much of a good thing. The food came together for all four and was hot, taste wise it was okay. What struck me a little was that a cyclist cost €5.70. Unfortunately I didn't look at the price on the menu. I have never had such an expensive bike anywhere in Germany, not even in a mountain hut in the Alps.

By chance we ended up in this restaurant on a beautiful Hamburg weekend. Everything is really right here. The selection of dishes. The fresh. The ambience. The friendliness of the staff. The attention of the staff. We have definitely found a new regular restaurant when we are in Hamburg. The next reservation on August 1st is already secured again. We're looking forward to it.

On our city trip we were looking for a restaurant to eat and end the day and then we ended up here. Fortunately, it has to be said! The service was great and quick. The cocktails are a bit expensive, but super tasty. The food is top. Large portions and damn tasty.

I can't fully understand the recessions. It was OK. There is a large selection of food, but I know that a lot of it can't be fresh. Service was great at first, but then it continued to decline. When customers have finished their drinks, I have to notice - my chance to sell more drinks with a good margin. It's unclear to me why this doesn't happen. I can only explain why the good reviews come together because you get a free drink if you do the Google review and show it to the staff. Who doesn't rate it well...

Four of us ate at Amadeus and had a very tasty meal. The pizza had a very crispy dough and came straight from the stone oven. We didn't have to wait long for the food and it was also very nicely prepared. In addition, the atmosphere and ambience is very inviting and modern. The menu offers a wide selection and the selection for vegetarians is also very large and varied. We would definitely come back again and can highly recommend a visit to Amadeus.
