Restaurant Am Römerbrunnen in Bad Homburg v.d.Höhe

We celebrated my birthday in this restaurant. All the guests were satisfied. The prices were very reasonable, all the dishes were very tasty, the waiters were attentive to our every request. The order came out very quickly. The restaurant itself is located in the center of the park, it has its own parking lot, which is very convenient! We are delighted, we will definitely come back again.🫶🏼

Overall, a decent impression with very good cuisine, but rather inconsiderate and loud service staff at an event.

Unfortunately we had already eaten before we came across this restaurant. Due to the location, the ambience, the menu and the relatively cheap prices, we will definitely visit it on our next Bad Homburg trip.

I have known the Roman fountain for a long time. I was recently invited to a party with 20 people. We had our own little map. The food was really excellent and the portions were generous. The service was really good and the waiters were very nice and attentive. From flower vases to shared desserts, everything was made possible. So I can only recommend the Roman fountain

I definitely don't have anything positive to say about this store other than the location by the park. The organization of the terrace is a complete chaos, the tables are full of the last guests' dishes and are not cleared away. Waiting times for service are extremely long. Just getting the card takes forever. Another time we were there for lunch. The food was ok but not exciting. It's a shame that the store doesn't make it anymore. The staff left a somewhat arrogant impression. It would certainly make more sense to give the customer a positive experience in the store.

We have been here several times. Always outstanding so far. Last Sunday we were there for dinner with a larger group. Service was quick, especially considering the full capacity, courteous and charming. The outdoor area, which was covered with PVC film, was not as comfortable as the indoor area. The food was ok and not perfect. Pretty dry fries, overcooked pasta. Somewhat unimaginative sauces and fairly manageable portions have not confirmed our previous experiences. Let's see what it looks like next time.

Great italian food in place with nice and warm atmosphere.

And unfortunately it didn't taste good. There is food outside from the deep fryer, it looks unkempt and the service left a lot to be desired. Employees are certainly motivated and polite, but the boss is not doing the restaurant any good.

For the life of me I can't understand all the great reviews. The food was mediocre for the price Risotto with 4 scampis for 25€ and tasted weak. I go 2 shops further and have much better food for less money. What was really an absolute disgrace was the disrespectful waiter. With sayings like: order now, now I have a short time or an annoyed click when you ask for an extra place setting. It's a shame As a Bad Homburg customer, I don't feel comfortable there and I won't be coming back. We have so many great other Italians in this city, you better choose one of them.

When we arrived, we got the menus and then no one was at our table for fifteen minutes. Unfortunately, we weren't asked in between if we wanted something to drink. Then at some point we were allowed to order drinks and then food too. The starters came quickly and were good. The main courses were also good, some of them fried a little too long. What particularly bothered me was the service. We sat for a long time in front of our empty plates while one waiter after another walked past. At some point it was cleared away, but we weren't asked if we wanted to order anything else. But then we wanted to, and a few minutes later we pointed it out to a waiter who told us he would be there soon. He didn't come right away, but walked past our table several times and avoided eye contact. At some point we were able to order from someone else, but we had to stop them first. We sat in front of our empty glasses for easily 20 minutes and no one asked if we wanted to order anything else. In general, the service was rather inattentive and not courteous, which is what I actually expect in the price category. We still left very good tips and were not thanked.

I only ordered a piece of cake that was still partially frozen on the inside. The waiters are not trained at all and are super inefficient. They overlook you, forget your orders or don't come back at all. We even watched one of them, when he accepted my kitchen item, put it down and then finished his café with pleasure. It's such a nice place and the food looks really good... It's all the more sad that the service is so difficult for me.

I struggle a little with the food. I don't know why, the chanterelles with the noodles don't have such a pronounced aroma. Is it the mushrooms, the preparation or my taste buds. Otherwise, this location is recommended.

A great terrace to linger, located directly at the spa park. There are no dedicated parking spaces. There are both sunny and shady places. The staff could be a little more attentive. We ordered drinks and fries there. The fries were definitely homemade. Card payment possible.

Service only for regular guests? I was in the restaurant for the first time today. I had ordered a table for two people. Unfortunately, I waited in vain for my companion because it was completely closed. The waitress didn't take care of me for an hour, no question as to whether I wanted to eat. I then ordered carpaccio and received a plate of ice-cold meat that had been cooled down to around 4 degrees. Apparently these plates are stored pre-made in the refrigerator and then served ice cold. Creepy. When I complained I was told it was normal. I held on to a beer all evening because the waitress ignored me the entire evening. The main course, linguine with chanterelles, was OK, but not worth the price

The food was very tasty. The service was OK at first, but after we finished it took at least 20 minutes to clear our plates and ask if we wanted anything else.

Had dinner outside today. Schnitzel from the deep fryer and a handful of fried potatoes not very tasty. The waiter stands at the table and says nothing. No greeting or question. It was much better overall a few years ago.

When you visit a restaurant, it's not just the food that counts, but also the surroundings. Unfortunately that's not true at all. We had ordered a table for 4 people on our birthday. Unfortunately we didn't get any of the nicely set tables; the table wasn't ready and we quickly got something put together in the back corner. Then nothing happened at all. A couple came next to us and ordered drinks, which were on the table a short time later. After 15 minutes the very grumpy waiter took pity on taking a drink order. Another 15 minutes later I asked where the drinks were. These arrived 35 minutes after we arrived along with the food. Really crude. When we ate we also got the wrong things but we didn't care. We just made sure we could go again. This Italian fuss among the regular guests and the complete ignorance among other guests is really annoying. Unfortunately for us it was a failure.

Service was disorganized, long waiting time for starters and main course. We were served a glass of wine that we hadn't ordered. The starter was not cleared away and there was no room on the table for the main course. A main course was served incorrectly. Both main courses were not justified for the price. Unfortunately we didn't like it. Been there for the first and last time.

Unfortunately not recommended. Waited 50 minutes for food only to be poorly served and given cold food. I don't like being insulted in other languages

A wonderful summer evening with an extremely delicious Italian meal is behind us and we enjoyed it very much. It's very good to be reminded that Italian food isn't just about pizza! The outdoor area, the veranda and the restaurant inside were almost completely full, but there was enough service staff who were extremely attentive. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, and the fact that the boss seemed very serious, at least that evening, is probably due to his responsibility or you don't always have a good day. A great location for a special moment.

Who would have thought that we would get a seat in the middle of the spa park; despite the sunny weather, there were still plenty of tables available in the beer garden. We ate the pizza, delicious stone pizza, I didn't expect it to be so good. Although the service staff was always busy and busy, we were forgotten in the hustle and bustle after dinner. We had to ask for the bill several times. Unfortunately that took a little too long.

Due to a "shortage of staff" on Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. there was no service at the large free table as part of the WTA tennis tournament taking place next door. Underground....

Snooty inattentive service. One service for around 35 people and occasionally a second one. There should be a wonderful menu. This consisted of a manageable starter of antipasti and the main course of pasta.

Yesterday we went to the restaurant as a family of 5 and absolutely loved it! The hospitality of Gennaro and the really outstanding service of the great lady deserve special mention here. The wine and food selection is very good (we were there with our little daughter and this was also well taken care of) and could only be topped by the Römerbrunnen team. We became aware of the restaurant and Gennaro through Tik Tok and can only say “thank you” for starting it. A truly outstanding evening! grace

The team is really cool, even with (large amounts of) small children. Service is quick, and the food was also without complaints. Only the statement "the best pizza in Bad Homburg" is either very self-confident or the pizza in Bad Homburg is generally rather "normal". I don't want to be misunderstood: the pizza was delicious and there's nothing wrong with it - but I've still eaten pizzas that I think were better. However, I wouldn't hesitate to eat pizza here again.

We were inspired by Gennaro on Tiktok and as luck would have it - we drove past in the immediate vicinity. Spoiler alert: If you want to eat in the (!!) restaurant, you should definitely make a reservation. Unfortunately, we didn't know and had to gather our experiences in the beer garden. Nice service let us choose a seat, brought a clean children's chair to the table and then we started choosing our drinks. There is a "stripped down" menu in the beer garden, which can be found in the photos. Since we weren't prepared for this, we quickly decided on one of the pizzas - Parma. (Some comments report "blind service" - if you as a guest need something and are not the only one in the beer garden - get in touch yourself) After a short wait, the pizzas arrived - fresh, crispy, balanced in terms of toppings and dough. Even our little one loved the food! For a long time it was a beautiful, tasty and successful pizza. After dinner I spotted the pizza maker and complimented him on his pizza. Either he didn't understand me, or I actually wasn't one of the few - he just said dryly "ok" 😂 Next time - if we drive past the restaurant as planned - we will reserve a place inside. Ciao dears 👌

Hello dear ones! We came especially from Cologne to experience the hype surrounding this restaurant and the owner live. Gennaro and his team are really incredibly good restaurateurs. Attentive, fast, good! The food is really of a high standard, at completely fair prices! Gennaro himself has an incredible knowledge of his wines. We will come back, no question!

Had lunch there. Starter platter for 2 people, zucchini soup, Viennese schnitzel from saddle of veal and pasta with prawns. Everything excellent. Also the two latte macchiato to RINSE -> a dream. Waiters and ambience are all great. There's not much to say about boss Genarro, he's a super pleasant guy! This makes eating fun. Thank you very much and see you next time from near Aachen. The baby also enjoyed the stay ;)

After enthusiasm on tik tok, I ordered a table for today, April 7, 24, 12 p.m. Unfortunately, the boss was very busy, but that's not a disadvantage, because after all, the staff works the way they are managed and in this case that is absolutely first class. You get your own waiter, who doesn't forget anything, absolutely nothing. I certainly didn't expect so much attention and was even more surprised. Even the little things that the journey is 200km and only one glass of wine is permitted were finally reminded of the free offer of a lemoncelli: "Madame... I know 200km." Order the sole and the veal cart... After a short time some fresh warm bread, with a creme fraiche herbs and excellent kalamata olives alone with the high quality olive oil at the table is already a poem, and suddenly "my waiter" apologizes for that instead of cart, fillet was prepared, the order would be delayed by 10 minutes... Not expected again.... And instead of leaving it like that, the young man served a free salad as a snack... The vino was also served again, good now It was 1.5 glasses, after a walk it will be absolutely fine. Drum roll the main course arrives, the veal was beautifully prepared, but it was as big as an ox and as tender as a newborn's, now my sole comes rolled up on a cart, the question afterwards whether "my waiter" can fillet, very happy.. With white gloves, patience and a trained hand, the job was done in no time and the fish was nicely prepared and served hot with delicious sage butter, the potatoes with parsley and the great colorful vegetables already suggested that my highlight would hopefully go unnoticed, but it came and hugely so. In no time at all the table was cleared after the orgy and two espressos were served, all in all a great experience and definitely worth coming back. Next time I'll at least insist on a glass of wine with Gennaro 😊 Unfortunately, my 1st place Italian in Frankfurt now has to give up his place and shares it with his opponent in bühl... Although that is really a very high level, but the overall package here in Bad Homburg simply topped it. Thank you for this great Sunday

Disastrous service, waiting 30 minutes for a beer, underground. Sufficient service staff available but completely incompetent. Stupid sayings are available for free.

Fantastic setting. Beer garden is only open in season. The hours on beer garden seem to be different to restaurant.

In the beer garden you first have to hope that one of the waitresses notices that you want to order (even waving doesn't help). After ordering, the food arrives about 15 minutes later, unfortunately without drinks. After asking several times, you will receive it another 15 minutes later. If that weren't enough, this service disaster repeats itself again when paying. ...and that not only affected our table, but also the surrounding tables to the same extent.

I went there for a birthday lunch of a relative last week. This restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its inviting atmosphere, warm service, and delicious dishes. The Kalbsrücken steak was tender, juicy, and really delicious. Their tiramisu and fruit salad desserts are fantastic!

Veal fillet came to the table cold and was then brought back warmed up in the microwave or something similar. In any other good restaurant you will of course get a new portion prepared. Pasta with monkfish was tasteless and in a water sauce. For these prices you simply expect more.

Located in the beautiful spa gardens, you get a menu where everyone can find something. The prices are not as expensive as you might think, if we go back to Bad Homburg they are definitely interesting.

Ich war schon öfter hier, letztmalig im Dezember. Das Essen ist frisch und ganz hervorragend zubereitet. Und das durchgängig, von den Vorspeisen über die Hauptgerichte bis zum Dessert&Espresso/Digestif .Selbige Zufriedenheit ist übrigens auch bei weniger üppigen Anlässen gegeben, wie Beispielsweise eben mal schnell ein Mittagessen genießen zu wollen. Ein kulinarisches Highlight in Bad Homburg. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich . Auch mein Hund ist hier willkommen. Die Weinkarte, auch die offenen Weine, sind explizit Erwähnenswert. Wir sind rundum zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder. Leider habe ich nur zwei Fotos gemacht um mich in Ruhe dem Essen widmen zu könne. Hier die Vorspeisen.
