It wasn't very busy shortly after 5:00 p.m., there were a lot of staff standing or milling around, and I wasn't served. So I went somewhere else. So the service was lousy, and the food was lousy too, because no food or drink is nothing. And nothing is lousy. Unfortunately, that's not available here.

We had a lovely time in the beer garden. I would have loved to give it 5 stars. I deducted one because, unfortunately, the women's restrooms outside were already very dirty in the early evening (7 p.m.). Perhaps we could have gone inside, but they were clearly marked. Our daughter was still missing something tasty vegetarian. The salad was okay, but it had a lot of lettuce and only two slices of tomatoes, cucumber, and peppers with feta cheese. They could definitely do better. The service was excellent, and the other food was also great.

I highly recommend it for a wake! Beautiful location, unfortunately the menu is limited. We waited almost an hour for our food, which is unacceptable for me. My biggest complaint unfortunately concerns the staff at this restaurant. The men who work there are so serious that they don't smile once. Even when they talk to each other, you get the impression they hate each other, especially the manager/owner who has short gray hair. They look at you like you're a thug, not a guest 🤯 The seriousness is appropriate for a funeral, but despite everything, you have to be kind and polite to the customer. Never again.

We were there for lunch – and it was completely satisfactory. Large portions, delicious food, a nice table in a quiet corner. And very friendly and professional service from Aniello. Unfortunately, we live too far from Bad Homburg, but if we're in the area again, we'd gladly go back.

Good restaurant in a very nice location in the spa park!

Very good food. The pride of the house is a delicious fish soup. The set menus were also very good. The service is professional.

Located in the heart of the spa gardens, surrounded by a rose garden, golf course, miniature golf, mineral springs, and beer garden, lies this gem of Bad Homburg. There are approximately 15 parking spaces directly at the restaurant or 300 meters away in the casino parking garage. Complete relaxation in the spa gardens makes for good business meetings or a romantic dinner in the evening. Service is very attentive, and the menu is well-written. I can recommend the fish dishes here, even though the restaurant isn't located by the sea or lake. I've been coming here for 20 years and the quality has consistently been excellent. Hats off to the concept!

Four of us ate on the terrace at the Römerbrunnen in early July. The usual good service is no longer there. Our food orders were taken carelessly, incorrect orders were brought without apology. The wine was not checked, and no questions were asked about coffee or dessert. Poor service for the high prices. We won't be coming back! Such a shame!

We spent two wonderful evenings here. The food was excellent. Aniello, our waiter, was very attentive. He provided us with excellent wine recommendations. He knows how to make you feel at home. We'd be happy to come back again. Thank you very much.

A lot went wrong last night!! There were four of us, as we often eat there. The champagne was slightly corked. My pasta with beef (it was gnarled and tough) wasn't good. My wife ordered pasta with vegetables, but it was replaced with lobster. It was only reluctantly exchanged, and it took a long time for a replacement to arrive. The other three of us had already finished eating. And to top it all off: the pasta with lobster was on the bill, and only after checking and complaining was the overcharge refunded, again reluctantly. This was probably the last time we'll be at the Römerbrunnen.

The staff are all very nice, helpful, and friendly. The food is delicious. We sat outside on the terrace, and it was cozy and well-kept.

We were passing through and were more than impressed. Our lovely waiter, Aniello, anticipated our every need, and the other waiters (especially Darko, Francesco, and Johannes) were also simply wonderful. We laughed a lot and felt very welcome. The food was excellent, and even though the place was completely booked, we didn't have to wait long. Add to that the wonderful atmosphere and the green surroundings. Highly recommended! This is a restaurant that is good

I was a very regular guest at the restaurant (not in the beer garden) and spent a lot of money there. That's what you call a regular. The restaurant hasn't managed to significantly change its menu in five years. Furthermore, we reserved a table online for a birthday party via the website. The reservation was confirmed in writing. To ensure the reservation was actually recorded, we called the restaurant the day before. We were told, rather snippily, that there was no reservation and that the restaurant had been fully booked for months due to private parties. There was no sign of regret or apology. An email regarding the incident also went unanswered. That's how they treat regulars there. After many years, it's now: "Bye-bye Römerbrunnen." There are great alternatives in Bad Homburg.

We celebrated our champagne reception after the civil ceremony at the Römerbrunnen fountain in Bad Homburg – and it was simply fantastic! With around 70-80 guests, we had the terrace with a beautiful view of the spa gardens – a perfect backdrop for this special day. From the initial communication to the execution, everything ran absolutely smoothly and professionally. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and perfectly organized. The decorations, especially the flowers and table setting, were stylish and lovingly arranged. The canapés were delicious, the coffee and cake were outstanding, and the moment with the wedding cake was also beautifully staged. Our guests were well looked after throughout, and we were able to simply enjoy the day. Everything really worked out perfectly – we couldn't have wished for anything better! We absolutely recommend it!

Here, you have to distinguish whether you're sitting inside or outside ☝🏻 They're two different locations!!! Anyone sitting outside must also use the outside restrooms (if necessary). We weren't aware of this at first. However, you're kindly informed about it inside. Now for the restaurant itself: Everyone really enjoyed the food. Only the sausage salad could be a bit more seasoned. The pizzas are as authentic as they come...thin crust, great toppings, hot, and delicious. The staff is super friendly and really on the ball, but sometimes they can't keep up, even though they really try. If the garden is really busy, you should be really considerate if it takes a little longer. Not all pizzas are on the menu, so just ask. Most of them can "conjure up" them. I would go back for dinner anytime, but my rehab period is over.

We've known the Römerbrunnen for over 10 years. For years, it was one of the top addresses in Bad Homburg. Times are changing: new management, new staff. What we've noticed is that the quality fluctuates more than before; it's a matter of luck, and this doesn't just apply to the Römerbrunnen. Asparagus in 2025 is no longer what it was years ago. It's as hyped as a Christmas goose. The differences are also significant with the Wiener sausage, not only in quality but also in preparation. The Römerbrunnen has become too routine. The location has become a hype, the crowds too large, and the food a matter of luck. The nearby Orangery is currently more knowledgeable about the craft.

Aniello is a kind and cheerful staff! It was a wonderful experience. All the food was delicious, and the park was so beautiful! Wonderful seafood dishes!

We wanted to celebrate a birthday and Father's Day and chose this restaurant. We were very satisfied. The daily specials were delicious. My wife had linguie with lobster. I had veal chop, see photo. Both were delicious. Only the grilled vegetables in the children's menu bothered our child a little. That's a child... Service was also excellent. Aniello was particularly good. He accompanied us wonderfully. Thank you so much! Last but not least, the location is also beautiful, see photo. We would love to come back in the future and especially visit the beer garden.

Disappointing service during our visit on May 14th We had reserved a table for three people for May 14th and were looking forward to a pleasant evening – unfortunately, our expectations were dashed. The service was generally casual, unfriendly, and in no way up to the standards of an upscale restaurant. I tried twice to politely approach the waiter, first to order a bottle of water and later the drinks menu. Both times, he interrupted me with a dismissive gesture – essentially "Stop, not now" – and walked on without responding to my request. Our order was not taken until the next time we walked past. When we explicitly asked for the drinks menu, we were simply asked what we wanted to drink – the menu was not handed to us. Further communication was also lacking in any courtesy: no smile, no "thank you," no "goodbye." Even after a €25 tip, which I regret in retrospect, not a single word of appreciation was given. The waiter's entire demeanor was condescending – as friendly, respectable, and well-groomed guests, we were almost shocked by this disrespectful treatment. The food also left much to be desired. The fillet steak (46 euros), ordered medium-well, arrived at the table completely cooked. The drinks menu was only handed to us after repeated requests – and then in a simple plastic folder, which doesn't reflect the price level of the establishment. For a restaurant in this price range, the service was not only inappropriate, but downright disrespectful. Unfortunately, we don't have any positive memories of this visit.

Nice atmosphere, especially on the veranda with a view of the surrounding spa park. Service was mediocre. The drinks menu was only brought to us when we asked. The food was okay, but we expected much more. Unfortunately, we weren't asked how we would like the fillet steak prepared and the accompanying vegetables, which were actually listed as tomato salad on the menu, unfortunately tasted like fish. The parking lot in front of the restaurant was full, and the website states that the parking card for the nearby casino parking garage will be validated. Unfortunately, this was not done upon request. Update April 2025: The restaurant regularly tries to remove my honest review. Criticism is probably not welcome here? Very unfortunate.

Great restaurant in a very nice setting

This restaurant absolutely meets the high standards of guests who are willing to spend a little more money for a perfectly prepared dish. We wanted to visit a restaurant that served fish and decided on this "Italian restaurant not near us" (we drove an extra 80 km). When you arrive you are immediately happy that there is a large parking lot next to the house that is specially reserved for guests. If you have ever been to this city you will know what I mean (otherwise the city's parking spaces are well occupied and quite expensive). In the restaurant itself, you immediately notice the high standard of the staff, from clothing, to friendliness/attention (we were immediately "welcomed" and greeted in a friendly manner), to the professionalism of every single person who brought something to the table. The boss (I can't decide whether it was just the managing director or the owner, n.a.) was often with us and showed with small conversations that he was present and would fulfill our every wish immediately, although it wasn't even remotely intrusive or disruptive (we also had a few little things to discuss and were able to do it undisturbed), so it was perfect. We had all eaten fish/lobster, there was absolutely nothing to complain about, the fish was fantastically prepared and filleted "bite-sized" for us next to our table, and the lobster was already "cleaned" and served on the plate, so that we didn't have to do anything and just enjoy the food. You really don't need to talk/write anything about the right wine at the Italian restaurant, everything was perfect. Overall, one can say that this address is absolutely recommended. Of course, for people who are not prepared to spend more money on food than in a regular bistro/restaurant, this might be too expensive, but for those who don't want to miss out on the service and quality, this restaurant is a top address.

Went for New Year's Eve dinner today, December 31st, 2024, the food was delicious, but unfortunately our son was not taken into account because of the 5-course menu, we wanted to order something from the menu for the child, unfortunately we were told that only the New Year's Eve menu was fixed, and the child can choose one thing, but we still have to pay 97 euros, we would have had no choice and said the son should only eat what he could, so a lot was thrown away, which is a shame is! The gentleman placed the son's plate in the middle of the table and said we unfortunately have to share and eat with my husband...unbelievable! After we spoke to the gentleman, we were portrayed as liars and everything was probably not true, we were at a loss for words, what a shame... we still wish you a happy new year

Excellent restaurant, very good cuisine and service, we were there with 30 people at a Christmas party, it was a great evening.

The goose was simply fantastic! Crispy skin, tender meat - simply perfect. The service was equally attentive and friendly. A real treat! The goose tasted like more. Plus the delicious red cabbage and dumplings - a dream! The price-performance ratio is unbeatable! For only €35 for two people we had a delicious goose with all the side dishes. An absolute bargain Highly recommended.

We were there for the second time and were thrilled again. Lunch menu with great dishes. A creme brulee to kneel down on. Special mention must be made of the friendly service. Unfortunately there are 200km between us and this great restaurant - otherwise we would be here more often. But we'll definitely be back!

Attentive staff and very good food.

We celebrated my birthday in this restaurant. All the guests were satisfied. The prices were very reasonable, all the dishes were very tasty, the waiters were attentive to our every request. The order came out very quickly. The restaurant itself is located in the center of the park, it has its own parking lot, which is very convenient! We are delighted, we will definitely come back again.🫶🏼

I have known the Roman fountain for a long time. I was recently invited to a party with 20 people. We had our own little map. The food was really excellent and the portions were generous. The service was really good and the waiters were very nice and attentive. From flower vases to shared desserts, everything was made possible. So I can only recommend the Roman fountain

I definitely don't have anything positive to say about this store other than the location by the park. The organization of the terrace is a complete chaos, the tables are full of the last guests' dishes and are not cleared away. Waiting times for service are extremely long. Just getting the card takes forever. Another time we were there for lunch. The food was ok but not exciting. It's a shame that the store doesn't make it anymore. The staff left a somewhat arrogant impression. It would certainly make more sense to give the customer a positive experience in the store.

We have been here several times. Always outstanding so far. Last Sunday we were there for dinner with a larger group. Service was quick, especially considering the full capacity, courteous and charming. The outdoor area, which was covered with PVC film, was not as comfortable as the indoor area. The food was ok and not perfect. Pretty dry fries, overcooked pasta. Somewhat unimaginative sauces and fairly manageable portions have not confirmed our previous experiences. Let's see what it looks like next time.

And unfortunately it didn't taste good. There is food outside from the deep fryer, it looks unkempt and the service left a lot to be desired. Employees are certainly motivated and polite, but the boss is not doing the restaurant any good.

For the life of me I can't understand all the great reviews. The food was mediocre for the price Risotto with 4 scampis for 25€ and tasted weak. I go 2 shops further and have much better food for less money. What was really an absolute disgrace was the disrespectful waiter. With sayings like: order now, now I have a short time or an annoyed click when you ask for an extra place setting. It's a shame As a Bad Homburg customer, I don't feel comfortable there and I won't be coming back. We have so many great other Italians in this city, you better choose one of them.

When we arrived, we got the menus and then no one was at our table for fifteen minutes. Unfortunately, we weren't asked in between if we wanted something to drink. Then at some point we were allowed to order drinks and then food too. The starters came quickly and were good. The main courses were also good, some of them fried a little too long. What particularly bothered me was the service. We sat for a long time in front of our empty plates while one waiter after another walked past. At some point it was cleared away, but we weren't asked if we wanted to order anything else. But then we wanted to, and a few minutes later we pointed it out to a waiter who told us he would be there soon. He didn't come right away, but walked past our table several times and avoided eye contact. At some point we were able to order from someone else, but we had to stop them first. We sat in front of our empty glasses for easily 20 minutes and no one asked if we wanted to order anything else. In general, the service was rather inattentive and not courteous, which is what I actually expect in the price category. We still left very good tips and were not thanked.

I only ordered a piece of cake that was still partially frozen on the inside. The waiters are not trained at all and are super inefficient. They overlook you, forget your orders or don't come back at all. We even watched one of them, when he accepted my kitchen item, put it down and then finished his café with pleasure. It's such a nice place and the food looks really good... It's all the more sad that the service is so difficult for me.

I struggle a little with the food. I don't know why, the chanterelles with the noodles don't have such a pronounced aroma. Is it the mushrooms, the preparation or my taste buds. Otherwise, this location is recommended.

A great terrace to linger, located directly at the spa park. There are no dedicated parking spaces. There are both sunny and shady places. The staff could be a little more attentive. We ordered drinks and fries there. The fries were definitely homemade. Card payment possible.

Service only for regular guests? I was in the restaurant for the first time today. I had ordered a table for two people. Unfortunately, I waited in vain for my companion because it was completely closed. The waitress didn't take care of me for an hour, no question as to whether I wanted to eat. I then ordered carpaccio and received a plate of ice-cold meat that had been cooled down to around 4 degrees. Apparently these plates are stored pre-made in the refrigerator and then served ice cold. Creepy. When I complained I was told it was normal. I held on to a beer all evening because the waitress ignored me the entire evening. The main course, linguine with chanterelles, was OK, but not worth the price

Had dinner outside today. Schnitzel from the deep fryer and a handful of fried potatoes not very tasty. The waiter stands at the table and says nothing. No greeting or question. It was much better overall a few years ago.

When you visit a restaurant, it's not just the food that counts, but also the surroundings. Unfortunately that's not true at all. We had ordered a table for 4 people on our birthday. Unfortunately we didn't get any of the nicely set tables; the table wasn't ready and we quickly got something put together in the back corner. Then nothing happened at all. A couple came next to us and ordered drinks, which were on the table a short time later. After 15 minutes the very grumpy waiter took pity on taking a drink order. Another 15 minutes later I asked where the drinks were. These arrived 35 minutes after we arrived along with the food. Really crude. When we ate we also got the wrong things but we didn't care. We just made sure we could go again. This Italian fuss among the regular guests and the complete ignorance among other guests is really annoying. Unfortunately for us it was a failure.

Service was disorganized, long waiting time for starters and main course. We were served a glass of wine that we hadn't ordered. The starter was not cleared away and there was no room on the table for the main course. A main course was served incorrectly. Both main courses were not justified for the price. Unfortunately we didn't like it. Been there for the first and last time.

Who would have thought that we would get a seat in the middle of the spa park; despite the sunny weather, there were still plenty of tables available in the beer garden. We ate the pizza, delicious stone pizza, I didn't expect it to be so good. Although the service staff was always busy and busy, we were forgotten in the hustle and bustle after dinner. We had to ask for the bill several times. Unfortunately that took a little too long.
